ooh I might be able to see a hint of something there belle - I don't want to enlarge it on my work computer though! Exciting!

I've been ok up to now with MrB not wanting to tell anyone, I've struggled a bit with a few people not really understanding why we feel so cautious/anxious. I Think most people's experience is positive test=baby, and they don't really get (or haev forgotten) that we don't all feel like that.

I'm not really looking forward to it being common knowledge at work and having random people I hardly know coming to congratulate me. I'm sure I'll be fine with most people but I felt quite uncomfortable when people from other depts came by to congratulate my colleague last year. Not a chance meeting in the coffee room etc but specifically coming to see her just to say congratulations when they would never otherwise just stop by to say hello. I probably sound completely bonkers!!

Must be a man thing then. As it happens, we got some lovely messages back from people and Mr I was beaming last night.

Will you test today Belle? The waiting and not knowing is a mega-tough part of TTC.

Are you gearing up for Shag Week Purple?

Gah there's so much faff involved when you need medical help with getting/staying diffed Trix. Hope you can arrange something.

Snow forecast here today. WTAF? Confused Angry

geek brooking that the spotting is just mini-geek getting nice and comfy for the next 8 months

imps thinking about it, the blokes at work whose wives have been diffed recently haven't exactly been shouting it from the rooftops! happy to talk about it once it gets a lot closer but most haven't said anything until around 20 weeks I suppose.

trix I'm sure you'll manange to sort everything out

Weddingbelle13 · 25/04/2016 22:01

Hi all I didn't poas today I thought it would be better to wait until nearer Thursday but I'm still having the brown spotting just on wiping not red though and I had painfullish cramp for about 30 mins yesterday but been pain free the whole time so confused x

cartoontrickster · 25/04/2016 20:09

Yes with Mr S beedles I'm feeling a bit stressed though because it is going to be difficult sorting out transport, someone to watch N and then there is work luckily I only work 2days a week for my dad anyway. Plus Epsom (where the clinic is) isn't exactly round the corner but I'm sure it will all work out.

imps I was 18wks before dh would even tell his brother and I had to practically force him. Dh's bro and most of his friends live in Kent (where dh is from) do it was easily hidden. Some people weren't told until after my 20wk scan. Perhaps Mr I is just being cautious.

geek how stressful, the not knowing is the worst isn't it! Hope the spotting spots by morning and the next couple of days whizz past!

keepitgoing · 25/04/2016 20:07

Hmm that is weird imps maybe he feels awkward for some reason, but who can tell really. Good on you for just telling them! Has it been lovely telling all your friends?

Oh geek... Lots of love

That's good about the intrallipids trix

ControlGeek · 25/04/2016 19:40

Ahh well done trix, that's brilliant!

imps that's really odd, maybe it's just a bloke thing, that they don't really talk about it as overtly as women do, maybe announcements just aren't the 'thing' in his circle of friends?

Yet more spotting, and mild cramping too so going to have an early night and hope it can all hang on in there for the next 2.5 days. I wish it wasn't the questionable sonographer tomorrow, I could do with knowing sooner rather than later.

Imps9 · 25/04/2016 18:52

I emailed them in the end Beedles. For whatever reason there was something making him uncomfortable about telling them, so I've saved him from having to do so. Men can be so hard to understand at times - even ones you've know for so bloody long.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 25/04/2016 17:39

Hmm imps surely he should be telling them that October will be out due to his lovely wife being either heavily pregnant and fed up, or working out which way up to hold a newborn.

Mrb hasn't told anyone either yet.

Great news about the intrallipid trix was that through Mr S?

So come the end of the year we'll have a whole load of brooking babies in fried egg babygrows :o

Imps9 · 25/04/2016 17:11

Hmm I'm a bit miffed with Mr I - he hasn't told any of his closest friends yet. On Saturday he said he'd drop them an email and when I asked him yesterday if he had he said "Oh bollocks, I forgot. I'll email them tomorrow". So far he hasn't emailed them, even though there's been a round-robin email chain trying to arrange an event for the end of October.

I can't figure out why he's so reluctant to say anything. It can't be because he's forgotten (I mean, seriously, who forgets something like that?) - I wonder if he's just worried that it will somehow jinx it? He won't talk to me about it (I asked him yesterday if he was okay about telling people and he said that he was). I don't really know what, if anything, I need to make of it.

I've asked him if he wants me to reply to the email chain, but he hasn't got back to me. It's a bit weird.

I kept all mine and all being well this one will be due Jan same as N so I will be able to reuse all mine Smile

Imps9 · 25/04/2016 14:03

Is your GP appointment today Trix?

OP posts:
ControlGeek · 25/04/2016 13:53

Well done trix, hopefully Mr S can sort you out even if new GP can't.

Imps9 · 25/04/2016 13:53

H&M seems to have some okay and cheap baby stuff too.

Oh! I meant to say - my friend who I was out with last night is going to give me her entire maternity wardrobe!! She was pregnant over the summer and is the same size as me so it should have everything I need! There are definite benefits to being the last to have children - more people are getting rid of stuff that I need Grin

ControlGeek · 25/04/2016 13:52

Last Saturday keep. I'll actually be 6+6 on the day she reckons I'll be 6w!

cartoontrickster · 25/04/2016 13:12

Oh I love next for baby stuff! N has tons from next I usually buy in the sales though!

keepitgoing · 25/04/2016 13:02

geek so when are you 6 weeks then? I'm confused too.. So sorry the fucking spotting is still there

I also love those babygros! Never bought much from next but should maybe change that

Ooh just had horrible pains in my stomach, not low down so not the baby, think digestive things. Also feeling a bit dizzy today. I have a blood test for anaemia on Thursday

cartoontrickster · 25/04/2016 12:43

Epu are often useless I find unfortunately Geek sorry you are spotting I wish it would just fuck off and leave you alone.

So it may not make a difference seeing a diff gp and all my notes will be there but I just feel like it will be harder to get her to understand and maybe book me a early scan, normally I always saw the same doc for this sort of thing. I guess the mw won't even want to hear from me yet either. I wouldn't have even known they had changed who I was seeing had I not needed to double check the time which annoys me. So anyway I've emailed Mr shehatas secretary to see if they would see me.

ControlGeek · 25/04/2016 12:17

PS thank you for all the reassurances and hand holds, I read but didn't post yesterday, and really did appreciate them Flowers

ControlGeek · 25/04/2016 12:16

Rushes back as soon as the webpage gets unblocked to welcome waffle - sorry, I have a lot of access issues during the working day and often forget important things like welcoming new people!

beedle that sounds very sensible about the harmony testing, but it will not be needed because the scan will come back absolutely peachy.

What does that entail trix? Will they have access to your notes and history?

More fucking spotting this end. Getting equal parts angry and upset now. Just after finding it, I also got a call from my EPU - apparently being referred to a consultant for early monitoring simply means EPU book you in for an early scan then you have a chat with a nurse. It wasn't exactly confidence-inspiring that the appointment-maker couldn't understand why I'm not 6 weeks on Thursday, given my transfer happened on 30/03. That's because my little emby was already five days old by that point! So I've made a provisional appointment for this Friday afternoon, but may cancel it depending on the outcome of Thursday's private scan. Not sure if I've ever mentioned it before, but I really hate our EPU system!

cartoontrickster · 25/04/2016 11:40

Arses the doctors has changed my appointment to a different GP!
