Yay geek that's brilliant news! Could they see anything that may have caused ur spotting?

cartoontrickster · 28/04/2016 10:31

m2.hm.com/m/en_gb/productpage.0252683001.html I found those body suits quite good because they open out completely flat.

V quick check-in to let you know that I have a baby in there and it has a heartbeat and everything. It's measuring 7+1 so is actually a couple of days ahead (I'm 6+5 today) . Dr said all looked perfect and normal Grin

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 28/04/2016 10:27

Am crossing everything that all is well with geek.

Ds1 had virtually everything from brand new. We were planning on 4 children so made sense to buy nice new things that we actually liked rather than faded/shrunken clothes that we wouldn't have picked ourselves. But we didn't waste money on labels like some I know that only buy from Boden and similar. Everything in the early days (vests/baby grows etc) was cheap as chips from supermarkets, but nice looking ones. We splurged on really nice merino sleeping bags. Then the bulk of their clothes has been mothercare and matalan and Asda, always buy from the sales well in advance of when they need the clothes. (Ds1 is 5 1/2 and have his summer wardrobe and next winters and next summers sorted, bar for footwear and a summer jacket. Plus DH is an only child and his mom regularly buys loads from debenhams or marks and Spencer's for them. Ds2 had pretty much had ds1's hand me downs, although he does have some new socks and pants, and some new jeans as Ds1 destroyed most of his jeans!

In other news, today is cd19 and just found a load of ewcm when I went for a wee 😊 so if anything like last month, ovulation might be on Sunday which is handy as DH always rises to the occasion more successfully at the weekends 😉

I was really put off by the one nct sale I went too. I guess it is hit and miss and you have to get in there early. There wasn't much unisex and quite a lot of stuff looked dirty and tatty. I had a look at the mat wear and one pair of trousers had a big rip in.
I've kept all of N's stuff so far though even socks!

keepitgoing · 28/04/2016 10:03

Where is she....

Nct sales and car boots etc are good for picking up the basics v cheap although I did that more in the early days - m/l...

BeedlesPineNeedles · 28/04/2016 09:59

My SIL told me (when we first started trying) that she had a load of baby clothes saved for us. Their youngest is now 8, I doubt they've kept them! Other SIL had their 3rd about 6 months ago, but MrB and his DB don't get on that well so not sure if we'd get hand-me-downs from them. I'll have to send my mum to the next sales or something!

I Think I'm just as anxious about geek's scan as my own!

cartoontrickster · 28/04/2016 09:51

Blush all N's clothers were and are new . I always buy in sales and we've been lucky with gifts. The grandparents love to buy for him, first grandchild! Also didn't really have anyone to get hand me downs from.

keepitgoing · 28/04/2016 09:34

Didn't mean to offend

keepitgoing · 28/04/2016 09:33

I didnt think so either, but some people go crazy. Was Just kidding, it's fun to get new stuff

Brooks harder

Imps9 · 28/04/2016 09:20

Yes Keep - I will get most things as hand me downs and from charity shops. I realise Barry-Baxter doesn't need a posh, extensive wardrobe. I've only bought one sleep suit and have my eye on one other! Nothing excessive in my eyes.

Ooohhhh brooking Geek...

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 28/04/2016 08:57

Brooking really hard for you Geek and Beedle xxx

keepitgoing · 28/04/2016 08:19

You'll just needs loads of babygros and vests at first - second hand or third! is fine as they dont wear them for long. This one will be in at least 4th hand mostly!

use your ivf money

Imps9 · 28/04/2016 08:02

I know Shock. Would be lovely to buy everything made in the UK and from independent businesses but there's just no way on earth it's affordable. Can't resist a ukulele-playing pheasant though.

keepitgoing · 28/04/2016 07:37

Shock imps £28... Nice, though

Imps9 · 28/04/2016 07:35

God, it really hasn't occurred to me that there are women out there who have never had a dildocam Shock

Found another fabulous sleepsuit Pricey, but might treat Barry-Baxter if all goes well at the 20 week scan.

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 28/04/2016 07:27

I know beedle most people would be horrified at the thought of a dildocam!

It's also my brother's gender scan tonight - I guess boy.

Good luck everyone, it's a beautiful sunny morning here so taking that as a good sign

ControlGeek · 28/04/2016 07:21

Ladies, ladies, you are all making my brain hurt with your French - my poor grey matter is insisting on trying to translate from incredibly rusty GCSE knowledge and it HURTS I tell you!

The very best of brooking luck today Beedle, and to you too trix. I will be thinking of you both.

Thank you all for the thoughts and kind words. I'm just about to set off for the scan (way early but MrG is panicking about traffic). Will update as soon as I can.

Imps9 · 28/04/2016 06:50

There is a massive amount of scan-based brooking going on in the Imps household. Muchos hand-holding to Geek and Beedles

And I hope your drip goes well too Trix

geek brooking so hard for you this morning. I get what you mean about maybe everything is ok is in someway better than knowing for definite. If only they could knock us out from ET to giving birth (or even better until after giving birth!). and you have such a full day ahead.

I got a Little hint last night of how different our experience has been than other peoples. I'd told MrB that we would probably get a much better view at the scan because it would be a better scanner (than the portable one the mw has). So he asked me last night if I was going to shower in the morning (rather than last night), as he had assumed that proper scan = dildocam as that is what I have had so many times. He had no clue that normal pregnancy scans are not done with a dildocam Shock

keepitgoing · 27/04/2016 21:36

geek good to hear from you, I was a little worried. Good that scan is early I guess, but as you say ages till you get to process things either way. Gosh you are busy, with your dad too. Lovely, I soooo hope all is OK, hope you can let us know

And beedle I'm sure all will be good for you, will be a big milestone for you

I was about to do a 'bump' pic but have collapsed in bed. Demain, peut etre.

cartoontrickster · 27/04/2016 21:02

keep no she didn't but she said to fill in the form for the midwife and they would probably contact me and want to see me sooner than the usual 8-10wks. I'll get a scan with Mr S anyway.

Good luck for tomorrow geek not long now.

ControlGeek · 27/04/2016 18:34

Lordy that was a busy day, this is my first chance to check in here!

So sorry for the bfn belle, next month will be the one.

Glad your GP wasn't totally useless trix, an early scan would certainly be reassuring. Good luck for tomorrow's drip.

Awww imps I'm loving that you bought that gro, Barry-Baxter will love it!

All ok here, hanging on in there but feeling all a bit schroedinger's cat about the whole scan thing tomorrow. At least for now I don't conclusively know that things are not going right, which means I have at least that sliver of hope that things might be ok. Tomorrow I'll find out one way or the other and, if it's bad news, there'll be no going back from being given that information.

Scan is at 9am, followed by full day at work, then taking DF to an appointment (I became his primary carer last November) so a lot of hours before MrG and I can get some space for ourselves.

Imps9 · 27/04/2016 16:51

Oui, bien sur - sur le pont d'Avignon, Imps et Barry-Baxter y vont danser.

Geek how are things today? No more bleeding and more good cramping I hope. What time is your scan tomorrow?

So did gp refer you for that scan then trix?
