You'll have to wait for the bumpie till I've finished giggling over the dick pond!

I can also recommend a drink called Beo, its made by Carlsberg. Completely alcohol -free but has a kind of brewed taste to it, not really sweet. Definitely an adult soft drink. But again I have no idea if you can get it in England! I haven't had any since last summer so I can't remember if its fizzy or not, it might be lightly sparkling as opposed to really fizzy.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 29/04/2016 06:58

dick pond imps :o :o :o

Imps9 · 29/04/2016 06:46

Oh ps Beedles - we can expect that bumpie soon, eh?

Belle, what happened with AF? Purple how are things with you?

Thank you Beedles! I am definitely a country bumpkin rather than a sophisticated city dweller Grin Our village is fab though - it has a butchers, bakers, greengrocer, library, great pubs and - best of all - a village green complete with dick pond. We're very lucky to live here.

There is a serious gap in the market for non-sugary/sweet soft drinks. I don't have a very sweet tooth and am not keen on J2Os and fizzy drinks. I tend to have lime and soda or sparkling water when I'm out, but it's not very exciting. Maybe we should come up with a Brooking range of soft drinks!

imps you're so clever I love the green blanket and the camoflague one is cool. I bet no other baby will have one like that! But, how can you live in a village? I imagine you living in a big city :o

trix excellent work on all the drugs, I can't Believe you get MrT to do your bum bullets Shock its a good thing mine are fanjo only as I don't Think MrB would be too keen to help!

loopy I checked out our vitamins drawer! MrB was also taking l-carnitine, selenium and pycogenol (not every day just each of them a couple of times a week) and I was also taking inositol, which I've read is good for people with PCOS so might help you (didn't seem to do me any harm either!)

cups I have seen maybe's blankets, they are Lovely. I wonder if she would post overseas just for me!

Alcohol-free wine is a bit easier find here as the supermarkets etc aren't allowed to sell anything over 3.5%. Jacobs Creek do one called Unvined, which is quite nice. None of them really taste quite right, White and rose are best, but they're usually fairly sweet (but drinkable) if you find any red leave it on the shelf. They really do not taste right at all

Imps9 · 28/04/2016 22:32

Here's the second one - just a little car seat one for when it's tiny. Less keen on the colours (they looked better as a ball of yarn!) but it's as soft and as snuggly as anything.

We've decided against NCT. It's too much money when we're going to miss 1/3 of it. The village where we live has loads going on for babies/young children and we have a number of friends and neighbours with babies so I think I should be able to meet people and find people to spend my days with without too many problems.

Glad you're all mayonnaised up Trix! What do you mean by "where" did I have my drips - did you mean the clinic, or whether they put them in my arm/hand? To answer both - Bourn Hall in Cambridge, and in my left arm (my vein never behaves in the right arm). I had a chair 3 times and a bed once, but that was only because all chairs were taken!

Ooooh where do I find Maybe's baby stuff? I have finished my second and third blankets for Barry-Baxter - here's a photo of the third one, not taken a photo of the second one yet

Missed your post Trix. Yay to first drip and injection x

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 28/04/2016 20:39

Have you all seen the baby blankets and cardigans Maybe now makes? They are so beautiful. I'm trying to justify getting one for Zack even though he's got lots of blankets!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 28/04/2016 20:32

Lovely bump Keep SmileSmileSmile

cartoontrickster · 28/04/2016 20:32

I love the jools range in mothercare imps
Congratulations to your bro keep
Hand Me a glass of that fizz beedle

So I'm pumped full of 200 cal worth of egg protein and rattling around from a load of vitamins dh has just administered my first bum bullet. I start the steroids in the morning.
The clinic had moved to a different location but only up the road lovely place but I had a chair imps! A reclining one but still what happened to my bed! Can I ask where you were having your drips? All was fine but after a bit my arm got quite uncomfortable and was blistering where the thingy was in so she had to swap it to the other arm! I then had a bit of a funny turn I felt really weird and faint. I'm not good with needles and blood!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 28/04/2016 20:31

Jaggy also had a baby in 2015

I can't believe how many Brooking babies started school this year

I'm still buzzing for you Geek and Beedle

I'm going to pick up the eggs baby grow too Grin I love little bird and mother care stuff. I like dressing Zack in bright clothes. We had a lot of hand downs from SIL, her youngest is 7 so there was some good retro stuff in there! I still bought a fair bit as I love shopping.

Yay to your nephew Keep! I've got 7 nephews, no nieces

I did NCT Imps, my course was £140 so a lot cheaper. I still see all of the Mum's and babies. I got on with them well so it was worth it for that. None of my friends have babies the same age or work part time so I really needed the company this past year. I have made friends through baby groups and MN too so would have been fine without NCT I'm sure

keepitgoing · 28/04/2016 20:16

My dB is having a boy! We have 3 girls in this next generation so far, so v exciting

keepitgoing · 28/04/2016 20:15

Whoops pasta but she only just slipped into 2015 then

I know the bump just seemed to pop out! Guess I have no stomach muscles anymore... It's a dress beedle

Ah, what a fabulous day for the brookers

and what is this fake sparkling wine? I've been having alc free beer but not seen this - must investigate, is it any good? I don't really like sweet stuff

Imps9 · 28/04/2016 20:15

Oooh have just seen that Mothercare has some lovely bright and very reasonably-priced baby stuff here

Imps9 · 28/04/2016 19:48

Oh shit Pasta Shock Grin Really thought that R was much older than that. I didn't intend that she formed part of the cold, grey fog that is TTC shittiness, honest Grin

Hurrah for a lovely bump Keep! Yes Beedles please do try again tomorrow Grin If you're using an iPhone, did you know you can use the volume buttons as the shutter release for the camera? It makes bumpies easier. I only ask as a couple of my friends weren't aware of that (the button bit I mean, not the fact that it makes taking bumpies easier).

ControlGeek · 28/04/2016 18:43

Sorry cups, I also though Z was the year before!

keep OMG you've got a proper bump going on there! Looking lovely with it :)

BeedlesPineNeedles · 28/04/2016 16:46

Ooh a proper bump, I will try again to get one of me tomorrow! And I like your top!

We are celebrating our good news with some alcohol-free sparkling wine :o
