Sorry to hear af came Summer. And I think sparkle is right - you're not being silly.

sparkle, thanks. Good luck to you too, fx for you. xx

SummerHopin · 14/07/2016 13:07

Thank you sparkle. I just felt so hopeless this morning as knowing my cycles aren't as regular as I thought means I'm going to feel lost now when it comes to tracking. I've not used any ovulation kits before - was working on the tracker apps only - think I need to look into that.

Any advice on tracking would be greatly appreciated x

sparkle789 · 14/07/2016 11:41

Sorry af arrived summer.
Don't feel silly, I think most people do the same. It's very hard not to get your hopes up especially with af being late.

SummerHopin · 14/07/2016 11:08

Hi ladies.
So 6 days later than planned AF arrived this morning. Am in pieces. We've only been trying since end of March but I really had started to hope this month and now I feel silly for setting myself up for a fall. Am tearful anyway, but knowing I'm tearful......because I've got my AF.......which OH YES is because I'm not pregnant......just feels awful.

Sorry to be so glum, but given that this time is kept to secret from others I'm struggling to put a brave face on today :( :( :(

sparkle789 · 14/07/2016 10:17

I'm going to test again tomorrow morning. Got a bfn yesterday but still no af and I've got some tests that are more sensitive.

Good luck when you test.

sarahhh1984 · 14/07/2016 08:01

Morning ladies, is anyone planning to test this weekend? I've told myself Sunday (roughly 14dpo as I'm not tracking ov) but it's taking all of my willpower to wait until then. Woke up this morning and my boobs look like roadmaps with really dark blue veins everywhere! I just don't want to disappoint myself by testing too early.

peskyfeelings · 13/07/2016 19:36

Do you think they look good MisheyBakes? That's encouraging to hear. Perhaps I am just been utterly paranoid? I wish I could enjoy it more. I probably would if I was younger, but at 37 I am terrified my uterus is a barren wasteland. :(

Seriously considering a heavy blow to the head at bedtime to knock me out. This insanely early morning waking is destroying me!

Period after the pill are just insane aren't they? The first time I came off the pill (5 years ago) my periods were pretty similar to yours. Light for first few, and then getting progressively heavier/darker. That's pretty much the way I expected it this time, but no, they've gotten progressively lighter instead.

I try to not worry. As long as they aren't really, really light/heavy and the cycle isn't 50 days long then we should probably be grateful! :)

MishyBakes · 13/07/2016 19:02

Considering how early you are up pesky, I think those temps look good! As you say, they should creep up during the luteal phase. Mine did, and then dropped off over 36h before my AF started. Weirdly, I am enjoying learning this much about how my body works!

Also, has anyone noticed a change in the heavyness of their periods, once coming off the pill? My first two bleeds were quite light by my standards, and the blood very pink and fresh looking (sorry if TMI). This cycle has been different though, the flow is heavier and the blood darker. It's made me wonder if perhaps I had some endometrial atrophy during the first cycles, and now my body has recovered? Or am I reading too much into this?

peskyfeelings · 13/07/2016 18:27

Thank you John85 :)

So my temps should have continued to creep up a little, rather than going up and down slightly after the dip? That would make sense.

It's so hard as I have really awful sleeping patterns, and often wake up between 4am and 5.30am. The only way I could get a consistent temp was if I set my alarm for 4am to do it!

Although I'm getting that worked up that I might actually consider it!

Johno85 · 13/07/2016 18:05

Hey pesky. So as far as I understand FF won't register ov until after a temp dip you have three sustained high temps. Your ones after your dip are a little similar to each other a little up a little down. That may be why. Hope this helps rather than confuses? X

peskyfeelings · 13/07/2016 17:01

Thank you for the update BoBo. It's good to read about where everyone is at! :)

Could anyone lend me their FF expertise here please? I posted on main board, but nobody is really responding. :(

I'm getting seriously stressed with FF. It's my first month temping and at the minute my chart says no ovulation :( Although It says I ovulated on day 13 if I change the settings to OPK as main fertility detector sign.

I was sooooo happy to get my first positive OPK last week. Now I feel like I'm back to square one. It's really getting to me.

I've attached the chart if anyone wants to kindly take a peek :)

Johnjo- I got my peak opk on cd16 and today I'm cd30 so between 12 & 14dpo I think.

BoBo90 · 13/07/2016 11:36

Happy hump day everybody!!
(That could mean something very different on a forum like this 😆)

Sorry about bfn sparkle hopefully it's jut too early!

Welcome summer!! I will add you to the list (when I eventually get around to updating it 😣 Sorry girls!).
If you're not tracking ovulation and you didn't have any obvious signs it might be that you ovulated later this cycle or maybe you haven't ovulated at all yet? This would obviously result in bfn but with no af. Odd you had pre-af cramps but I guess that could be unrelated! Our bodies do weird and wonderful things don't they! Fx your not left in limbo too long 😄

Hello ladies, I'm new and hoping for some company please.
Came off Rividigeon end of March to ttc#1. Had 2 cycles of equal length with 2 day AFs and latest AF was due Friday 8th July. Had the pains to tell me that AF was coming (always get those "here it comes" pains) but then nothing?! Took a test on 9th - BFN. Still nothing by 11th - another test - another BFN.
......now at 13th and still no AF?! I'm very interested about silly long cycles that people have been discussing - presumably this is just a big long cycle? I'm frightened of testing again as each BFN is like a punch in the face :( even after only a few months.
Havent been testing for ovulation either at this time, just using menstrual app. Keep getting really worried that I left it too long to come off the pill.
Any thoughts?

Johno85 · 13/07/2016 09:52

How many dpo are you sparkle?

peskyfeelings · 13/07/2016 08:11

I've heard SD ones are good for early testing Sparkle.

Good luck!

sparkle789 · 13/07/2016 07:58

I caved and tested this morning with a tesco digital and its a bfn :( I'm hoping it's too early/not sensitive enough.
They look exactly the same as the clearblue ones just in different packaging. Might pick up some others today. Is it super drug that are good ones?

peskyfeelings · 13/07/2016 07:22

Hello to all newbies and Fx for everyone soon to test! This thread moves pretty fast. I will have to have a proper catch up after work.

That's if I ever get there. Fertility Friend is driving me bonkers at the moment. Does anyone else find that it turns them into a crazy mad woman? I'm scared I'm losing the plot and it's only my 3rd month ttc!

Johno85 · 13/07/2016 07:17

Hey Lou. I think getting regular irregular AF is a good start anyway. Lol. Mine have been 3 and 4 days since coming off he pill and very light. Guess that's one good thing.

Temp still high this morning. 36.91. That's the joint highest I've ever had- last one dipped the day after to AF Envy

I'm going to test on Friday morning with a cheapie as we're off to Leeds for a long weekend with sil and her chap. Very excited but defo would be helpful to know if pregnant otherwise will be worried about pickling my unborn in alcohol!

Then if bfn and no AF I'm going to test next Saturday morning with frer before we head off to turkey for two weeks.

Fx I pick up the cat today and that will be one less thing to stress about!

Bobo sounds like cold turkey is the way to go. That's definitely my plan after this cycle if necessary.

Sparkle I don't really get nervous anymore, think it's because I'm a seasoned pro and so used to BFN! I think when I actually get a BFP my jaw will hit the floor!

Fx for everyone testing this week X

sarahhh1984 · 13/07/2016 06:26

I'm dreading testing, sparkle. I'm due to test on Sunday. My only symptoms are incredibly sore nipples, darkening of the areolas (also gone bigger and bumpier) and lots of discharge. Veins in my boobs seem to be getting darker too and I had a nasty case of heartburn at the weekend, which I've never had before in my life. (OH confirmed he thinks my boobs look different and have been changing over the last few days so I at least know that's not in my head!)

But it's only cycle #1 for me so I know I'd have to be seriously lucky to have conceived so I keep telling myself it's just my hormones getting back to normal as I don't want to get my hopes up.

All the same, dreading seeing a BFN. Sad

sparkle789 · 12/07/2016 23:09

Sounds promising johnjo!

Cd 29 for me, no sign of af, nausea and vomiting the last 3 days and my stomach feels different. I'm planning on testing on Friday. Does anyone else get really nervous to test? I am dreading seeing a negative result.

BoBo90 · 12/07/2016 21:06

Sounds promising Johno! 😄 I will keep everything crossed for you! when is testing day?

Lou I imagine that a good sign your body is getting back to normal 😊 My af was longer this cycle after stopping ac and I'm taking it as a good sign!

Cold turkey cycle is going great ladies!! I didn't even realise I was up to cd14 today as I haven't been keeping track 😊 Started on our dtd every other day plan now but I don't expect to ov until cd20-25 but I'm much more chilled about it all which is lovely 😊 I would definitely recommend going cold turkey next cycle!! Xxx

Hey user, I have been off the pill since December 2015 but been actively trying the past 2 months. My cycles have been all over the place, from coming off the pill to my first period was 72 days. Maybe it's just a case that your ovaries need to be 'woken up' as my GP put it! I agree with BoBo though, I have heard some great things about agnus castus and maybe see what your GP says.

How are you getting on bobo with the cold turkey cycle??

High temps is a good sign johno! And all the other symptoms. I hope AF stays away for you Grin. When are you going to test?? Sorry to hear about your vet bills! What a nightmare! Where are you off to on holiday?

Nearly at the end of my AF. I have to say, this is the first AF I've had since coming off the pill. Usually it lasts 2 or 3 days but this time it's been a lot longer which I guess is a good sign??

I've had a lovely day at broadstairs beach with DH today and also a spot of retail therapy! Was so nice to just be in each other's company Smile

Johno85 · 12/07/2016 19:03

Hi user. I agree with Bobo. I'm coming up to cycle 9 and have been off the pill since October, ttc since January. May be useful for you to go through some of the old posts. If anything it may make you feel better X

Bobo where you at lovely?

I'm cd 32 with high temps still, sore boobs and no sign of AF. As per previous rantings
No idea how many dpo I am. To top off this month my cat is at the vets and the bill is £600 and the insurance company won't cover it because he had it three years ago. I'm just about ready for my holiday next week. ConfusedWineCakeBiscuitStarChocolate

How's everyone else ticking along? X
