Oh I see, did you eventually reach your peak though may? After all the flashies?

That's understandable why you came off after that, you weren't to know the struggles we are facing !!

Sorry AF got you. Onward and upwards to the next cycle!

Hope everything is okay highhopes and nothing too serious! Your very good to wait another week, hopefully you will get your BFP soon xxx

HighHopes16 · 19/05/2016 09:40

Hi Ladies,

I've not been on here for a month or two as lots going on in my personal life at the moment. So much so we thought about putting off ttc till next year but after a lot of deliberation we've decided this is what we want more than anything!

We got married last summer & all of our relatives kept saying to each other 'See you at the Christening next then!!' We were like hang on a minute!! haha

Ovia says I should take a pg test today as I'm due on but going to leave it a week and if I've not come on i'll poas.

Hope everyone is well!

May07 · 19/05/2016 08:17

Lou I have used 3 times, first month I had 14, second 12 and third just 1. I did start late on the third try as was expecting another long cycle.

I already got married at start of the year and went on honeymoon to a malaria zone so only came off after that.

Feeling tired and grumpy today. Period turned out to more like spotting yesterday (which is very unusual for me) so I convinced myself it could be implementation bleed. Woke up early and its definitely a period! Angry Funny how I knew I was out but still cling on to last bit of hope!

Johno85 · 19/05/2016 07:40

Hi ladies. Been a bit awol. Trying to get myself a little less stressed his cycle. My Angus castus is on route as I type. Decided to go with cm, the apps and BT this cycle and not bother with the opk's; was a tad obsessed with poas last cycle.

We started talking about ttc for quite a while before I came off the pill in October (mainly due to migraines) and used protection for 2 months, again naive to think it would happen straight away. I even panicked on my birthday in December when we didn't use protection and was convinced that that was it, job done! Grin

I had 20 days of flashing smileys last month on CB digital dual hormone opk, hence why I gave up. I agree that the average seems to be about 4. I never got my solid smiley.

Crossing everything that my cycle will start to sort itself out soon.

Sending everyone good vibes Smile

Loulabelle1990 · 19/05/2016 07:38

I know what you mean purple, even at my wedding people were saying "kids next!" I was like alright we've only just got married! I've said to people I want to enjoy married life for a big first to stop them saying anything.

What's the most amount of flashy smilies you've had may? I am in my 4th day today so hopefully I'll get my static by next week! When are you getting married? I got married in April but came off in December, thankfully I didn't have any spots/weight gain, just really painful periods!

I didn't want to come off my pill any earlier as I went to Florida in December and didn't wanna be on for that - if only I knew! At least we all know for next time lol xxx

ClaireSunflower · 19/05/2016 06:41

I know the feeling May! I got married in Feb and already people are asking and hinting about when we might start a family. It's quite hard sometimes as a lot of people asking are people I don't particularly want to share that info with!
Loula and purple - totally agree. Really wish I'd come off the pill sooner now and let my cycle regulate. I naively thought everything would go back to normal straight away but was so wrong. We even put off ttc for a month after the honeymoon as we went to the carribean and were worried about the zika virus. If I'd known now I would have come off months ago!

May07 · 19/05/2016 04:46

It is nice its busy ... hope we make that resident preggos list a bit busier soon Grin

They do say most people get 4 flashing smilies before a static so still looking good Lou. I have never had the magic 4 (always less or more), but hopefully it's on it's way for you.

I knew there was a chance cycles would be a mess but didn't come off the pill earlier due to wedding. I am spotty, hormonal and have put weight on so not the look I wanted for wedding but has made ttc more frustrating!

The wedding seems to have put people off asking us for a while but certain family started quizzing about when we are starting to try etc. Was hoping to have news for them before they all start asking/hinting!

Purpleviola14 · 18/05/2016 23:15

Ooh fx for you Lou you get your static soon.
I know girls, I am soo naive, I never realised the complications of getting your cycle back to normal if the first place, wish I'd stopped taking it last year like you both.
It's so annoying when family members give you the 'when is it your turn then ' or 'ohh you better hurry times ticking' talk and you're like Argh! If only you knew!
Xxx

Loulabelle1990 · 18/05/2016 22:55

Yeah 3rd day flashing today cookie!! Starting to get worried but I've heard it's normal.

This is my first also. Did you come off the pill to try & regulate your cycles first? Very wise! I was not prepared for this in the slightest!

Cookie22 · 18/05/2016 21:51

Lou is it still flashing? Hopefully your static comes soon Mrs! The wait is frustrating!! Yea this is my 1st too purple, been trying since November so I'm starting to get impatient now! Came off the pill in Aug and finally seem to be settling into a 33/34 day cycles (but worryingly short luteal pause tho!) Xx

Loulabelle1990 · 18/05/2016 21:34

I am struggling to keep track too cookie! I like that we are busier now Grin. Hopefully you will get a positive opk this week, it's so frustrating when they are negative all the time! I was so happy to see my flashy smiley but now it's annoying me! Haha.

It really is very frustrating purple. You just have to be very patient. I was just expecting it to happen, but that's obviously not how it works - how naive was I! I haven't started temping yet, I've heard it's quite time consuming - I'm quite happy with my OPK's for now but if I really start to struggle then I'll probably try temping out.

xxx

Purpleviola14 · 18/05/2016 21:13

Hey, yeah ttc my first, I was on microgynon for 7 years then cerelle for 2, I stopped at the end of March, so I guess I just need to be a bit more patient as I understand most people on here have had it much worse than me. It's just so confusing, I must have had all the symptoms going, I did wonder about going to get checked for low progesterone as I've had relevant symptoms, sore bbs, and (tmi) a bout of really (like really!) thick CM which I think I read was too much oestrogen?
It's interesting what you say about supplements, I think I may just stop and take folic and AC.
What have your experiences been so far? Is this your first too? Xx

Cookie22 · 18/05/2016 20:45

Purple it's definitely better to release/vent on here than keep it to yourself! Sorry to hear you're having a tough time with your cycles! Are you ttc number 1? I feel Agnus has really helped me with my cycle length. I gave the b6 a go one month but felt it really worked the opposite way... I've heard mixed reviews about both of them to be honest! Ah why can't our bodies just be kind to us! Xx

Purpleviola14 · 18/05/2016 20:07

Oh and hi Cookie, it does seem busy and everyone seems lovely. It's such a release to hear and share experiences rather than keeping it to yourself and feel like you are going mad. Xx

Purpleviola14 · 18/05/2016 19:59

Hi Loulabelle,
Thankyou for replying, I'm good thankyou, how about you?
That's interesting, I was on cerelle too, sounds like you've had a horrible time, it's so frustrating isn't it?!
That's really interesting what you said about pregnacare as I was taking that too. How did you find your temps? My chart is really crazy temp wise so it's difficult to know when or if I am ovulating at all.

I think I may invest in some of those, they sound much better than the cheap sticks, easier to understand.xxx

Cookie22 · 18/05/2016 19:47

Yay Bobo you are back! Did you have a nice time lovely? I think you should def go to doctors r.e your painful ovulation. I'm definitely going to go next month as I seem to be experiencing the same as you. I was told to go back this month for my hormone blood levels but going to book it for start of June when I'm due my b12 jab anyways! Sorry you're stuck in limbo! Hopefully Agnus will give you a surge!

Sorry to hear of AF May, that's rubbish! Hope you aren't too down about it lovely, I know it's tough when the witch arrives no matter how much you prepare yourself for it. Wine and chocolates!!

Welcome purple and Susie!

Hope everyone else is doing well! It's really busy in here now, I'm struggling to keep track hehe! CD14 and still no sign of ov. Had definite increased clear CM yesterday and today but not a thing on the OPKs. Might dtd tonight just incase! Xx

Loulabelle1990 · 18/05/2016 18:52

Hi purple, how are you?

I had problems when I came off the pill. I came off cerazette on 6th December, first period was 72 days later, then 42 days and the last one was 33 days, so they're getting shorter. I was really concerned at first so I had blood tests done and a scan of my ovaries but all came back fine, just a waiting game. I was also taking Pregnacare from when I stopped the pill and I read it mucks up cycles so came off them and period showed up a week or two later!

Dual hormone is a clear blue ovulation test which detects your 4 most fertile days, so when your due to ovulate you get a flashing smiley and when your at your peak you get a static smiley xxx

Purpleviola14 · 18/05/2016 17:50

Hi Girls,

May sorry about AF, but it's def more positive your cycle has come down to 29!

Bobo Thankyou for adding me to the list, I am TTC #1 ☺️ Did you have a nice holiday?

Did any of you ladies have trouble when you started ttc with cycle regulation, how long did it take you all to get your first AF? I'd love to hear your experiences.
Also what are dual hormone? First time I've heard of them I've just been using the Internet cheapies.
Xx

May07 · 18/05/2016 16:06

Welcome back from holidays Bobo!!

Think two weeks is best Loula but some people have a shorter gap (like me). Don't think it's ideal if it under 10 ish days maybe!! Confused Anyway fingers crossed it peaks soon!

Loulabelle1990 · 18/05/2016 15:49

Welcome back Bobo! Did you have a nice holiday? I would book an appointment if I were you - might be able to put your mind at rest a little because then at least you'll know what's going on in there !! xx

Loulabelle1990 · 18/05/2016 15:48

Hi May, sorry to see AF got you!! At least it seems your cycles are getting shorter though, which is better! I am currently on cycle 4 also.

I don't think I have ovulated tbh. I just wished I had tested with my other CB digital on Monday too just in case, but I assume if I had ovulated then it would've been a static smiley on the Tuesday too ConfusedHmm. I haven't continued with cheapies as I didn't want to get obsessed with POAS lol!!

Just got to be patient I guess. I didn't realise you could have shorter times between ovulation and AF, I thought it had to be 2 weeks haha xxx

BoBo90 · 18/05/2016 13:57

I have returned!!

Holiday over. No ov. No af. No sign of anythiiiiiiing! Isn't life great!
Just kidding Wink there's not an awful lot happening with me and my naughty ovaries. I think I will start taking my AC again today to bring on af and then start again next cycle. I'm also thinking of going to the Dr... I have quite painful ovulation and now starting to worry I could have something wrong so might see if they will give me a scan.

Really pleased for those who have ov'd. Wishing you a quick and stress free tww Grin

Sorry for those with af but onwards and upwards girls Smile

Hi all. AF arrived today Angry ... Upset but knew it was coming so got all my disappointment out at weekend I think 😥! Trying to the think positive - 29 day cycle vs 44 previous month. Luteal phase of 10 days which is better than usual 8. Will try again ... Onto cycle 4! Another opk order needed!!

You never know purple it could have been IB. Would be nice to get BFP rather than AF! AC seems to have worked well for me based on above and will try again this cycle. Could do with it bringing OV A little further forward as on a group holiday for predicted OV dates and dtd would be difficult for various reasons!

Hi Loula doesn't sound like you have ov'd. I think the dual hormone would go straight to static. Have you continued to use cheapies? If you haven't had a positive on those I think it's still to come. Might be you have a longer cycle or less days between OV and predicted AF. Hope it happens for you soon.

Hope everyone else ok Flowers

Loulabelle1990 · 18/05/2016 10:43

Hi ladies, I need your advice on something.

Basically, I switched from CB digital to the CB digital dual hormone opk. So I used both of these OPK's on Sunday, both negative (first time using dual hormone, so I understand the first one of this is negative for everyone to get baseline figures). Then I used just the dual hormone one on Monday and instantly got a flashing smiley and the same for Tuesday and today. I am now worried that because I didn't use my old CB digital on the Monday I may have missed my surge then? Or would the dual hormone one have gone straight to a static face?

I have been testing since about CD 9 with the cheapies and my normal CB Digital which were always negative...

Just hoping it was actually my peak on Monday bearing in mind it was only my second time using the dual hormone! Going by last month I should be due AF on 1st June so isn't it leaving it a bit late to ovulate?? Driving myself crazy lol xxx

Purpleviola14 · 17/05/2016 21:05

Hi ClaireSunflower,
Ah it's good to know you are roughly in the same boat, it's driving me crazy.
Good to hear you finally ovulated, which pill were you on? Have you been temping too?
I think my temps are so erratic because of the pill, so I doubt I'll ovulate until they settle themselves down.
Honestly, never realised how complicated this all was until I started doing it. X
