Lou I've only ever used the Poundland OPK's (green handled.) The clear blue ones are so expensive - might be tempted if we don't get lucky in the next few months though.

I still have an ache in the left side of my stomach so think AF is going to rear her ugly head soon!!

cnchapmanxx · 24/05/2016 02:11

Hi girls!!

Morning/Evening haha! I'm in sunny San Francisco at the moment, don't worry I haven't abandoned you all I've just been super busy and trying to relax haha! We fly to Vegas tomorrow I'm so excited hubby has had me walking bike riding and swimming.. But apart from the sore boobs which are easing off slightly now and the extreme exhaustion (napping when we get back in the room before tea) then sleeping from like 9-8am I feel great, a little too good tbh but what will be will be and looking forward to my scan on the 8th June! My nausea has stopped and only been sick once although still can't go anywhere near red meat or eat it infact. The thought of burgers and meatballs make me heave!

How is everyone where is everyone up to on the ttc? And hello to all the newbies!

XXXX

lawyeredout82 · 23/05/2016 21:54

I'm back! So we were going to wait til next month to ttc but when I noticed some ewcm last week I thought what the hell!

Guessing from my cramps and ewcm that I ov'd on Monday 16th, DTD only once that night so it's a long shot but fingers crossed. So I think that puts me about 7dpo. This is cycle 1, ttc #2. Not sure when to test - may not be able to hold out for when AF is due on Sunday as I've got a clearblue digi calling me...

Hope those of you who are also on the tww are not getting too fed up with the slow passing of time!!

ClaireSunflower · 23/05/2016 18:47

Sorry to hear you're feeling down at the moment cookie I know it's hard but like Loula said we need to stay positive. Fx this is your month! It seems like forever when you are constantly thinking about ttc but it will all be worth it when you have your bfp!

loula the ovulation pains sound positive, hope you managed to catch the egg
And glad to hear you've not had too long a wait bobo.

Fx for you high hopes you have better willpower than me waiting till Friday!

Not much to report here. This 2ww is dragging. I'm 6dpo today and hoping af isn't going to arrive. I've had a bit of a crampy feeling today along with some lower back pain so I've a horrible feeling af will rear her head in a couple of days. Last month I only had a 7 day luteal phase which was a bit worrying so I hoping the b vitamins I've been taking this month will at least lengthen it by a few days.

Loulabelle1990 · 23/05/2016 17:27

Oh I see. So maybe you never actually properly ovulated this cycle just gone! It's so strange what our bodies decide to do isn't it. Hopefully this month is your month! I am spreading baby dust all round. Grin

I'd be too scared to do a FRER too early in case it's a false negative! Think I'm gonna try and leave it until at least 14 DPO (assuming AF hasn't turned up by then!).

Highhopes have you tried using the clear blue OPK's? I used the dual hiring one and thought it was excellent and very easy to use!!! That sounds like such a lovely thought doesn't it. I would've loved to have been preg in April or May to get my mum a nan birthday card or one for my MIL but that never happened! xxx

HighHopes16 · 23/05/2016 15:27

Implantation is a lovely thought :)

I've got some opks at home BoBo but I could never get the hang of them - I tried them for a couple of months & I never saw two strong lines so I got fed up!! hmmm Confused

When we started ttc in Dec I had this thought that I'd love to be pregnant before Fathers Day in June - then I could present DH with my BFP! Doesn't look like my little dream is going to come true though! lol

BoBo90 · 23/05/2016 14:51

High - have you got any opks to do a quick check for late ov? Fx it's not af. Could be the egg nestling in!

Lou - yeh I've been doing opks every month, I've had a surge every cycle apart from the one just gone. Normally the line fades out before and after ov but last cycle I had a faint line all the way through and ov pain for about three weeks! Very annoying cycle but onwards and upwards 😄
People often pick up a bfp at 10dpo on frer so you could test from then 😊 Xxx

OP posts:
Loulabelle1990 · 23/05/2016 14:05

Glad AF has arrived BoBo! At least you can try to pinpoint things more easily now. Have you been doing OPK's? Maybe your just missing the surge?

Keeping my fx for you high! Stomach pains could be implantation maybe??

AF is due on 3rd June but I will be 14 DPO on 6th June. When should I do a pg test? Assuming I don't come on on the 3rd? xxx

HighHopes16 · 23/05/2016 09:40

Morning All,

Yes I'm 3 days overdue but waiting to test on Friday (27th) which makes me a week late as my cycles are all over the place (still!!) & I don't want to waste a test.

I had awful stomach pains yesterday so could be super late ovulation? or most likely AF making her way over but we shall see!

BoBo90 · 23/05/2016 07:32

Little update as it's so busy in here it's hard to keep track Grin

I think the next potential baby announcements will be from:

Help/Shan who was testing last Saturday?
Claire who is 6dpo
Susie who is due on 24th
High who is already overdue? and testing approx 26th

Good luck girls!!

Thanks Cookie Smile I know how you feel and in some ways I think it's good to feel a bit more resigned to the fact it might not happen each month. It stops the obsessing and getting too hopeful to be let down. Obviously I agree with Lou that we all have to stay positive that it will happen just not straight away. That's how I am feeling now too and its a relief not to be so crazy about it all Smile Great news about the opk lines! Get dtd and catch that egg hun!

Lou - good luck in your tww! Try not to obssess too much Wink I hope it flies by for you!

How is everyone else doing?

And I agree with Cookie - resident preggos have you abandoned us?? Sad

Cd1 here Grin Af seems to have arrived so not too bad a wait! 37 days instead of 33-35 Smile Hoping I just had a natural anovulatory cycle (they say everyone has 1/2 a year) and it wasn't due to any problems. I did realise the other day that out of my 4 cycles I have had 1 anovulatory, 1 where I had a positive opk followed by another 2 weeks later so struggled to ov and I've only felt the egg release once in total.... starting to think I have only actually ov'd once Confused

Loulabelle1990 · 22/05/2016 23:11

It's so easy to get stuck in a rut with this but I am sending positive vibes your way!!

Well today I have had some stabbing pains on my left side which seems to have stopped now, I am assuming they were ov pains?! So I believe I may have ovulated today. DTD this morning and will again tomorrow for good measure Wink and the the tww will commence from tomorrow!

Have your lines got any darker on your OPK's? xx

Cookie22 · 22/05/2016 21:51

You're totally right Loula, I need a kick up the bum!! Got no time for a pity party so I completely agree with your words. Staying positive and channeling bfp vibes from here on in! Do you think you ovulated today then Mrs? Fx for you xx

Loulabelle1990 · 22/05/2016 19:08

Good luck to you Claire. I am going to try and not symptom spot as much as possible this time round or I'll go mad I think. 2 months does feel like a long time, especially with ttc is constantly on your mind! Luckily none of my friends are having babies yet, so I will be the first. Although it does make me a bit jealous when people conceive after a month or two off the pill and have normal cycles return!

Do you have any more symptoms today Susie? When are you going to test?

You should try to feel a bit more positive Cookie - the negativity will get you nowhere! I know how hard it is to feel disheartened though - I know of someone who were trying for 10 years! Scary! FX with your ovulation :-) xxx

Cookie22 · 22/05/2016 10:05

Hi girls, how we all doing? Shan, have you tested yet? Bobo, sorry to hear you're having a crappy time hun. I feel your pain- 6 cycles in & 9 months off the pill and I just can't see the prospect of a baby on the horizon. I don't even feel excited about it working this cycles, like I've just resigned myself to the fact that something must not be right! Hope everything works out with your family lovely, sounds like you're having a tough time xx

So glad you got your static Loula! I usually count the day after my peak as the day I ovulated, so 1dpo would be the following day. Sounds like you have done more than enough to catch that egg!

Fx for the girls on the tww- Claire, Highhopes & Susie!

How are our resident preggos doing? I miss you guys!!

Sorry I've been a bit off the radar recently. I've been trying to distance myself slightly as I feel TTC has been taking over my life the past few months. Trying to consciously relax a bit and 'see what happens'. Lines are now appearing on my OPKs so hopefully Ov is on its way! Xx

SusieBu16 · 21/05/2016 16:13

Hi ladies

I have a lot of catching up to do!! I have been away with work. How is everyone getting on?!

I was just getting my hopes up on my last post Hmm AF is due in 3 days (according to my app) and I feel like the bugger is definitely going to arrive. Absolutely exhausted these last few days and bloated. Sure sign! Sad
Been off pill since November now....there's always next month lol x

ClaireSunflower · 21/05/2016 09:10

Hi Loula glad you finally got your static smiley!
I am currently 4dpo and crossing my fingers, toes and everything else that my luteal phase is longer than my 7 day one last month. I'm not massively hopeful as I didn't ovulate until cd23 (same as last month) I was taking agnus castus until ovulation and vitamin b complex throughout the month so hopefully that will help!
I'm only on my second month ttc but it feels like forever already! Everywhere I go everyone seems to be pregnant or have a new baby and it's hard to not feel jealous!

Loulabelle1990 · 21/05/2016 08:41

Hi everyone, how are we all?

Help, did you do your preg test??

Try to think positive bobo! Our time will come. We just gotta be patient! Have you had any luck selling this tickets?

So I had flashy smileys from Monday to Friday, DTD Tuesday, Thursday and got my peak today so DTD today too and again tomorrow and Monday. Do you think this is enough?

When do I count how many DPO I am? What day does it go from? I was so excited when I see the static face! xxx

BoBo90 · 20/05/2016 10:30

Oooh good luck Shan/Help Smile fx for you!!

High - I'm 25 too, married last year and just can't wait to start a family Smile I thought the same about waiting a year before going to the Dr but 6 months in and I've started convincing myself there's something wrong!

I'm feeling really shitty lately. Combination of family fall outs, no baby and no hope of one any time soon and to top it off I've been organising a charity bridal ball and everyone who reserved tickets have suddenly decided they cant come so I have just over a month to sell 100 tickets or I'm screwed. I'm hoping that impending af is making me feel more down about it than normal and in a week everything will be fine again.

Sorry for the rant! Dh is at work and the cats are out so I cant talk to them either haha!

As you were ladies Wink

OP posts:
HighHopes16 · 20/05/2016 10:06

Thanks Everyone, I said to DH last night if we haven't managed to conceive within a year we should go to the docs as the statistic is something like 'On average, 85% of couples conceive within the first year'

I'm 25 too so not in a huge rush, it just seems like the natural progression for us.

Helpmeconceive · 20/05/2016 00:03

No sign of AF by app af is due tomorrow gona test sat :)

BoBo90 · 19/05/2016 23:19

I had a lovely holiday apart from a fall out with the grandparents 😒 But thanks for asking girls 😊

Cookie - that sounds promising with the clear cm! Good idea to dtd early! Fx for you my love 😘

Purple - my first cycle post pill was 76 days but they then regulated with the help of Agnus castus. This cycle has gone a bit haywire but I stopped the AC early so that might be why! Really hope yours sort themselves out soon!

High - fx for a nice bfp for you and a promotion to our Resident Preggos list 😄

I am also a member of the 'didn't come off the pill early because I thought I'd ovulate straight away' club 😫 I stopped in Nov and only had 4 cycles so far - I'm getting very fed up now!

I booked my appointment at Drs but they couldn't get me in until 7th June! Bloody ridiculous.

Annnnd finally (I ramble a lot 😉) I'm no closer to ov and just getting crap loads of white cm... It's kinda lumpy... Like porridge 🤔 Hope no ones reading this while having breakfast haha

Sweet dreams lovelies 😴 xxx

Everything's always works out in the end high :). I have t thought about adoption just yet, I think I'd go down the IVF route first. 5 months seems like a long time but it really isn't - jus seems like a lifetime to us I guess! But we always think of worse case scenarios don't we!

Purple I am 25 :). The digi ones are really good, but just so disheartening when you keep getting flashy smileys! You just never think your going to get your peak. That's what I am thinking at the moment anyway! If you are getting it then you need the purple dual hormone one, they are a lot cheaper on Amazon than in boots xxx

Purpleviola14 · 19/05/2016 22:44

Hi girls hope you are all ok,

Lol Loula and high that was me at my wedding! I was like a broken record trying to put people off the scent by shrugging it off going 'are you serious?! Give us time to enjoy being married first!'
How old are you ladies? I'll be 30 next year eep! I got married in 2014. Really wish I'd come off then.

High I def don't think it's just the hormones and it really does get you thinking doesn't it?!

I think I'm deffo going to try these CB digi tests. The flashing smileys seem way easier than squinting at a stick checking for lines
Xx

HighHopes16 · 19/05/2016 13:50

Thanks Lou - no it's nothing too serious, just a bit of uncertainty but I'm sure it will work itself out! :)

I've got used to waiting before poas - On my first cycle I spent a fortune on pg tests but now I know better.

I was watching a programme the other day about a couple who had fertility problems and in the end they chose to adopt and it got my thinking about what we would do if we couldn't conceive. We've only been ttc for 5 months but sometimes it seems so out of reach. Does anyone get like this some times or am I just really hormonal?? Grin
