fx for you Claire that af keeps away!

Gigging it up on a work night Marmite Shock you rebel you Smile

Lawyered there is a chance its a bit early. I don't want to give false hope but I have stared at far too many frer's hours after I tested and they have always been whiter than white! A hint of a line could be something Smile I have everything crossed for you my dear!

Sorry about af HighHopes but well done for thinking positive! Gold star for you Star

I am boring old CD3 but Af has already cleared off so happy days in Bobo land Grin two more weeks and then I can start on my opks again!

That looks like a great positive OPK cookie - fingers crossed!!
Sorry about your BFN laywer but it could be too early??

I don't think I'm going to have to poas tomorrow as woke up with some spotting today so think AF is on the way! I'm a little bit gutted as really hoped we'd catch it this month but I'm also pleased that it seems my cycles are shortening month on month. Hopefully they will be back to normal soon! Smile

lawyeredout82 · 26/05/2016 08:53

POAS this morning with a frer - BFN. There was the teeniest light pink/grey line after the time limit which I think (from Google) is an indent line. I'm 10 dpo (although think I ov'd late in the day so could be more like 9.5 dpo). sigh. Would now just like AF to arrive so I can get on with next month x

marmitetoast1 · 26/05/2016 08:31

Thanks chloe, although I think I'm going to hold off using any of the apps for a bit until I have another period so I have some (vaguely) more helpful dates to work from(?!)

purple thanks I will have a wee Google of Angus Cactus! Although I'm always a bit wary of taking random supplements as have ibs and worry it'll disagree with me...

Looks like some opks there chloe, fingers crossed for you! Blush

Went to the Bruce Springsteen gig in Manchester last night, was absolutely convinced AF had arrived at one point, but when I got myself to the portaloo (grim), nothing. Not cool. Angry Bird

ClaireSunflower · 26/05/2016 07:39

Ahh that's a great opk cookie hope you manage to catch that egg! I am currently 9dpo and hoping my luteal phase stretches out too as last months was way too short and got af at 8dpo. Nothing so far but have had a lot of backache and cramping so think the witch isn't far off!

Cookie22 · 26/05/2016 07:04

Thanks ladies, definite positive OPK for me today (pic attached)! Dtd last 2 night and will try for tonight and tomorrow too! I'm CD22 of usually a 33 or 34 day cycle. Hoping my luteal phase stretches out a bit! How's your tww going Claire? Where are you in your cycle purple? I haven't had any ov pains yet but usually get really bad pelvic pain during & after ov... Hoping it won't be as bad this time xx

Purpleviola14 · 25/05/2016 21:58

Ooh cookie that looks good to me! Have you had any ov pains?

Marmite- your knickers comment made me laugh haha. Sounds like you are doing all the right things. AC is Angus castus, it's supposed to be good to help regulate your cycle as is B6, but the AC smells rank!

Chloe, best time to temp is first thing in the morning even before you get out of bed or move. Everyone's temps can vary but usually around the 36 point something mark then it should dip before ovulation then go up after, then come down again before AF but stay up if pregnant. Everyone is different but you are basically looking for a thermal shift to give an indication of ovulation, paired with your OPK's and CM signs, but not always together after coming off the pill as I am finding!
Hope everyone else is ok!Smile
Xx

ClaireSunflower · 25/05/2016 21:14

hi! i was on a earlier thread but been awol for a while! I'm getting impatient waiting for ov!! am on CD15 but my last cycle which was my 1st off pill was a long one at 37 days so I'm hoping this one is shorter! i did get symptoms last time of EWCM followed by pain a couple of days later so I'm waiting for these to make a reappearance! did i OPK today just to see but was negative!

Congrats everyone with BFP's! Hope to join you soon!

chloe2413 · 25/05/2016 14:40

Thanks pure viola: I haven't been temping, what should my temp be? What's the best time to do it?

My stats are quite different from everyone's...

Came off the pill in November, that cycle was 91 days before my first proper period!!! Then 44 days, then 43, now I'm on day 28 of my cycle. As my cycle is so long I'm meant to be ovulating this week! Got my fingers crossed!!

Marmite toast: I use an app called clue...I've tried a few different ones but I've found this one to be the best for me. There is too much information, just shows you what you want to know really.

xx

marmitetoast1 · 25/05/2016 14:28

purpleviola oh it's good to know someone else in a similar situation - well not good, obviously, as hope we both get AF pronto haha! Have been deploying nice knickers as a strategy this week but hasn't worked so far!

I was wondering about nutrition/supplements too. What is AC? I tend to eat pretty well and exercise fairly regularly anyway, so have just been keeping up with that really. Oh and folic acid tabs obviously. Apparently plenty fresh veg and fruit and oily fish are good? (From a brief Google!) is anyone doing anything else?

Even though I had AF last cycle I'm worried I might not have ovulated as didn't notice any ewcm. Plan was to stay relaxed and avoid opks/temping etc for first few cycles but I can see that may go quickly out the window, if only to see if am actually ovulating! Confused

Purpleviola14 · 25/05/2016 14:01

Bobo and sunnydays-thankyou both you have given me hope-at the minute it feels like AF will never arrive! It's good to know what I'm going through is normal. Did you girls take any supplements or anything to help it along? I've been taking AC, B6 eating healthy and trying to lose weight, not sure I can do much more Confused

Welcome newbies ☺️

Chloe-have you been temping?
I've been taking my temps and charting every morning and from that I know I def haven't ovulated so that may help. Fx your pains have been OV pains.

Marmite I am pretty much in exactly the same boat as you, tt#1, came off in March, no AF, and a mutual hate for fertility friend telling me when I'm due AF lies! All lies!
Xx

marmitetoast1 · 25/05/2016 13:02

Hi all!
Just saw this thread and thought this is me! So I'm going to hop on if that's ok.

Stats (we love the stats)
Marmitetoast
31
TTC #1
Cycle 1
CD 35

Came off the pill after 14 years (yikes!) early March. First post-pill cycle was 37 days which i thought wasn't too bad actually... Had hoped it would be shorter this time, but currently on day 35 and no sign of AF... Well, I say no sign, but have had what have felt like classic pmt symptoms for me - grinding low back ache, tummy cramps, on and off for a week and a half now... Not sure what that's about?!

Also, I hate Ovia and am this close to deleting the bitch. No O, I am still not on my period!!!

Have POAS 3 times this week...Just impatient for AF to arrive so I can see where I stand and get on to cycle 2.

Hope all are having a good week and those who waiting for AF/test day/fw are hanging on in there!

chloe2413 · 25/05/2016 12:19

Hi Ladies!!

I'm Chloe and my partner and I are trying for baby number 1! I've been off the pill since November 2015, only really started trying in the last month or so. SO CONFUSED about all the abbreviations used on here Confused so go easy on me!

My cycle is around 43 days long, I've started using ovulation sticks this week as my period tracking app tells me I'm due to be ovulating this week. They have come back negative each time. Perhaps it's too early, or perhaps I'm not actually ovulating yet?!? I'm very confused and trying not to get despondent and worried, especially as I have long cycles which means everything will take so much longer!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you xxx

HighHopes16 · 25/05/2016 09:22

Thanks Sunny - I was tempted to poas this morning but going to try & wait till Fri as then I will be 7 days late for AF. Last month AF arrived about 12 days late so I'm not getting my hopes up just yet! Glad you are doing well :)
My ovia app is starting to bug me as it predicted AF this week (based on a normal cycle) so I've had to go in and change it to 'nothing down there' but all the emails and tips I get are now saying I ovulate soon but I clearly don't because I haven't had AF yet! silly thing! x

lawyeredout82 · 25/05/2016 09:08

Hello sunny! Nice to hear all about how you are getting on. AF is due on Sunday so in theory I think I could test from today or tomorrow but wondering whether it is a bit on the early side and whether I can hold out for Saturday...

I have a clearblue digi in the cupboard but tempted to buy a frer too as I think you can test earlier with those xx

Sunnydays321 · 25/05/2016 07:38

Hello ladies. Iv not abandoned you! Iv been stalking you all every few days to see what's new. Who is next to pee on a stick! I'm getting poas withdrawals! I need to see your sticks. Haha. highhopes you are super strong holding out!

Hi Chapman!! Have an amazing holiday! How many weeks are you now? I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and I haven't been sick/or even really felt sick in over a week now which is great. Tiredness settled, more energy, sleeping better. Heartbeat fine so I know all ok, just think hormones have settled. My scan isn't till 13+0!

Purpleviola when I stopped my pill and didn't get a period for three months I got several patches of ewcm, think my ovaries were waking up and trying but couldn't quite ovulate. It did the same on long cycles and I would get almost positive opks, that then faded again but I kept doing then (just the cheap ones) and would eventually get a proper positive. Weirdly I often had less ewcm when I was ovulating that I did at other points in my weird cycles!! And Claire I got loads of pain, think it was just my poor ovaries not knowing what was going on cos they hadn't worked for so long! I got ov pain from about cd10-3 days before af every month!

Good luck lawyer, when are you going to test? Eak

Xx

lawyeredout82 · 24/05/2016 14:38

Chapman - I couldn't eat meat for months when pregnant with #1! It was a very strange symptom!! Xx

BoBo90 · 24/05/2016 13:38

I'm good thanks Purple 😄 On cd2 after a very annoying anovulatory cycle so I'm feeling positive as this one should be back to normal!

Hmm could be that your ovaries are trying to ov but not quite managing it so they are trying again and again? My first cycle was 2 1/2 months and I had two surges before ov'ing properly and then af arrived 10das later. Fx that it's the same with you and you ov soon lovely! The endless waiting and not knowing is horrible! The Ewcm is a very god sign that your body is getting back to normal 😄 I'm still not producing any really 😒

OP posts:
Purpleviola14 · 24/05/2016 13:09

Hi Claire, oh thankyou, it's reassuring to know it's normal and other peeps have experienced the same thing, I wish they would wake up faster!!Hmm
How's your 2ww going? Any other symptoms? Fx tightly for you! Xx

Purpleviola14 · 24/05/2016 12:24

Hi Bobo,

How are you?

This is the thing I have no idea, I'm on the end of month 2 now after stoping pill and still no period. My OPK's are strange, lots of nearly positives but not quite. Do you think it could be my body gearing up to ov? Lots of EWCM too at a few points too. How confusing! Xx

ClaireSunflower · 24/05/2016 12:21

Hi purple I had that pain for several weeks too. I think it's fairly normal and is probably just your ovaries waking up getting used to working again! Mine lasted until a day after I got my first positive opk and then went away until the next cycle. This month I only had it about a week before ovulation so hopefully things will start settling down soon.

BoBo90 · 24/05/2016 12:18

Great to see you back lawyered! Fx you caught it first try 😀!

Chapman you lucky thin you! Hope you are having a fantastic time lovely!

Where are you in your cycle purple? Sounds like ov pain!

Hey lovely ladies,

Sorry I've been a bit awol, been so busy with work.
How is everyone?
Has anyone ever had a horrible dull ache in their left groin area in the few months after stoping their pill? Last night it got pretty strong and radiated out to hip and back. It's worrying me a little.
I need to stop googling symptoms!! Xx
