Hi all, hope you had nice bank holidays and the first day back wasn't too painful!

catmum that's great news you got AF back. I can't even imagine the frustration of waiting so long. I'm bad enough on the 2ww!

Fx for you highhopes! are you going to test soon?

Hope AF stays away for you Loula it's annoying that pre AF symptoms are so similar to early pregnancy symptoms!

Hope you have a good trip purple it sounds fab. I would love to go to Prague!

Not much to report from me. I'm in that extremely boring stage at cd4 waiting for AF to bugger off. I've been reading a bit about seed cycling and am going to try it this month. Has anyone heard of this before? It is supposed to help balance out your hormones by eating different seeds throughout the month. I thought it couldn't do any harm to try it out. Here's the link to it if anyone wants to have a look:

Loulabelle1990 · 31/05/2016 13:34

Hey ladies, hope you are all well! I can't comment on everyone's posts as there are too many!!

I am currently 9DPO. Nothing really to report only sore boobs which came about today. I am due on on Thursday and usually get sore boobs way before now! Very strange. I think I am out this month though due to the sore boobs as its one of my AF symptoms Sad. Also having some twinges and flutters in my stomach and an ache in my back on the left side! Meh xxx

HighHopes16 · 31/05/2016 11:12

BoBo I'm not 100% on when I ovulated as gave up with OPK's & haven't really kept track of ewcm! Ovia predicted it 10 - 15th May & we dtd every other day(ish) all month.

So I could be anything from 16-21 dpo ?

Purple - ooh I've seen that one, it looks gorgeous! It's only about £60 more than the hotel we were looking at (La Ballerina) so I'll wait to hear your feedback before booking! :)

Purpleviola14 · 31/05/2016 10:32

Good morning all you beauties! Smile

Marmite-thankyou I am certainly going to try, how's it going for you?

Cat mum-great news about AF bet you are relieved it seems to be sorting itself out.

Cookie- thanks hunni, hope you get your pains sorted, if it's painful enough to be worrying about it is pop to the docs just to be on the safe side and put your mind at rest more than anything.

Sunny- thanks lovely, what was the reason for your insomnia? Bet you are knackered today!

Highhopes-We are staying at Jalta Boutique Hotel, supposed to be beautiful and full of history, I'll give you my review when we get back. I agree with Sunny, it does sound like IB so fingers doubly crossed for you!

Johno- thanks for your reply Mrs, it sounds like you are quite similar to me, it's reassuring to know I'm normal! I have had constant Rocky Mountains. I've been taking AC for the past 4 weeks so I'm hoping it is helping, what were your temps like in the first few months? Mine seem to be hovering around the 36 mark.

Felt abit strange today, had sore bbs and sensitive nips past few days. But today I have cramps twinges in my pelvic wall, fingers crossed it might be AF but I'm not very hopeful.

Hope you all have a good day, work or no work. I go on Friday and have that Friday feeling and it's only Tuesday!

Xx

marmitetoast1 · 31/05/2016 10:29

Thanks BoBo although last month was my first proper natural period, the one before that in March was withdrawal bleed. Which was why I was hoping this month would be the start of more normality! I guess it could be up and down and take a while to settle for a few months though.

Don't think have OVed since coming off either. Ewcm has been non-existent so far. It's all a waiting game! Isn't it funny how as soon as you decide right, I'm ready to start TTC, you become massively inpatient?! Or is that just me? Hmm

Ooh exciting fingers crossed for you highhopes!

BoBo90 · 31/05/2016 09:57

Morning lovelies ☕️

Catmum - woooo so glad af arrived for you!! Well done for not going crazy while waiting! Here's hoping you have a much better length cycle this time!

High hopes - fx it's implantation! what dpo are you on?

Marmite - do you think you ov'd last week? Could be implantation? If not then this is your first proper af (the other one was a withdrawal bleed) so it's not unusual to have a short/odd period 😊 A period is stull a period though and it will get more normal as cycles go on... Unless you get a bfp 😉

I'm still in the boring wait for ov! I'm on cd 9 and expecting ov on cd 20 so ages to go yet 😞

OP posts:
HighHopes16 · 31/05/2016 08:37

I've not done a test yet sunny but tempted! Although if it was implantation bleeding it wouldn't show as a positive yet would it?

marmitetoast1 · 31/05/2016 08:28

Morning everyone just a quick question, as you know I was super relived when AF finally showed up but soon went to slightly frustrated with it. I'm sure it's probably pretty normal after being on the pill so long but it was Sooo light, basically bled for a day and a half then totally stopped for a day and a half and now this morning a tiny amount of dark brown (sorry if tmi!). Has anyone else had periods like this since stopping the pill?! It's thrown me a bit as even lighter than last month which was first post-pill period. The cramps were horrendous, though. As in waking me up in the night painful? Which is also new.. Urgh! Just worried as it's such a feeble period/that somethings not right.

Sunnydays321 · 31/05/2016 08:03

I'm a terribly sleeper any way but it's been worse since iv been incubating! Haha I like that word! Knackered this morning, I was awak from 1.30 til 5.30! You've dtd loads, you'll be covered! And I think 36.6 will be above your cover line as long as it stays up for three days. If your temps jumps are big like that I think you will be fine with a one decimal point one. Exciting, post your chart picture again in a few days, I love the charts!!

High hopes, you don't think it was implantation bleeding do you? Have you tested?? X

HighHopes16 · 31/05/2016 07:58

Morning all- hope you all had a fab bank holiday weekend? We spent it with my sister & my nieces & nephew which made me so broody- my DH is so good with them, I can't wait to give him one of his own Smile
On Friday I though AF had arrived but it was really light over the weekend and then stopped yesterday. Confused What could that mean??
purple - ooh where are you staying in Prague? I'm thinking of taking my DH for his 30th in August!!
X

Johno85 · 31/05/2016 07:23

Hey sunny. How come the insomnia. And how's incubation treating you? Thanks for clearing up re cover line for ff and the fact that it's only one month free! At least I'm used to the chart by now. When I bought my bbt it said that its great for ov detection, however i didn't realise it didn't go to 2 decimal places. Do you think it's worth sticking with the one I've got or getting another? Bbt went up to 36.6 • this morning. I do it pretty much at the same time before DH even gets a "good morning!" Last night I was dreaming all night that my future sister in le was pregnant (she's marrying my little brother this fri!) and the dream just kept going on and on. It's defo on the brain this month.

We dtd every other day the whole of my fertile days (with ewcm) and then day of ov. But my poor DH is a chef and exhausted and I couldn't bring myself to pounce on him again!

Hope you all had a nice long weekend. 3 day week for me! Smile

Sunnydays321 · 31/05/2016 02:37

Hi all, I can't sleep, argh, which is why I'm replying at 2am!! John9o, great news about the static smiley. Esp with ewcm! Your temps should go up after ov.. So if you ovulate within 36 hours (but more commonly 12 hours of positive opk you would expect your temp to go above the cover line the day after (FF will draw the cover line after three high temps). Good charting, it looks like all your temps are to one decimal place, if you get a basal body thermometer it will chart to 2 decimal places making it more accurate. Most people would get away with your type but some peoples temp shift is quite subtle. Are you doing it same time every morning, upon waking, before moving/talking etc. Oh yeah and FF is a bugger... It's free full membership for a month and then they want you to pay so unless you subscribe you only get the basic package. There is a way to get free months by recommending a friend, I know people who had other email addresses would sign up with a 2nd account+ partners account etc and "recommend to them" getting free months but I never bothered cos it seemed like a faff! Haha.

Cookie, you can ovulate up to 36 hours after opk (I think that's right) and also ovulation pain doesn't always pinpoint the time of ovulation, apparently some people feel it before or after instead... on scans in studies the pain doesn't usual correlate with the egg actually "popping". And the sperm live for upto 5 days so better to have them at the party too early than too late. I think they suggest dtd day of opk and each day or every other day for a couple of days after to cover... Obviously the days in the run up to ov would be even better if you have perfect regular cycles and know when you are going to ov but that's not us is it!!! I got preggers by dtd 2 days before and the day of ov. And that was it cos I was knackered by that point in the 60 day cycle! Good luck!

Ooo prague's lovely, have a great time.

Aw cat congratulations on AF!! I know that's not what most of us want but after 5 months I bet your glad she is back (albeit with her usually crappy timing!!) hopefully things get on track for you cycle wise now!

Xx

CatMum87 · 30/05/2016 20:41

Hi girls! I've been a bit busy this weekend so just catching up Smile It's so busy in here I've actually had to jot notes on a piece of paper so I don't miss replies to anyone haha!

Marmite - thanks for the tip off on frer's! I have just gone and stocked up ready Grin

Purple - have a fantastic time in prague lovely!!

Claire - sorry af got you but great news about you lp getting longer Smile

Jjspoon - Welcome!!! You will pick up the lingo in no time Smile give it a few weeks and you will be so used to them you will have to try not to say the abbreviations in conversation with your dp/dh haha I always say af or ewcm and I get very odd looks Grin

Johno - Congrats on having a less frustrating ov this cycle Smile that's a really good sign your cycles are returning to normal!

Cookie - sorry to hear your ov pains have returned lovely - you spoke too soon! I really really hope you get your bfp this cycle hun! Even if you ov'd on Sunday and you dtd Friday there should be plenty of little spermo's waiting for mrs egg so try not to worry Smile

Loula - fx for you in a few days Smile Hopefully I will be adding you to the resident preggo's list Grin

Hey cookie. Sorry to hear your cramps have been so bad and hope that they start easing up (or bfp first!). Thanks for the info about agnus castus. Temp seems to support ov. Will post a pic of the chart as I know a few of you like a good chart! Just wondered if anyone else had had issues with fertility friend app recently? I used to see loads of info but now it keeps saying that extra info is for VIP users only.

Cookie22 · 30/05/2016 10:00

Happy bank hol girls! Sorry to hear of AF Claire, you poor thing. Hope you're looking after yourself and treating yourself to some bank holiday drinks!

Oh wow, enjoy Prague Purple! I've always fancied going there, it's on my to do list!

Johno that's fab about the static smiley! Hope you've managed to dtd lots Mrs! Yea once you ov you should stop taking the Agnus. Have your temps confirmed Ov?

Welcome jjspoon! Ha I know, I'm still clueless at times with certain abbreviations too!

Well I'm 3dpo (I think!). On my last post I'd said I was relieved that I didn't have the crippling pelvic pain associated with ovulation that I've had the previous months. Well I take that back! Yesterday I was so sore around the lower tummy & found it hard sitting up/sitting down and walking. I really don't know what this is but if I'm not successful this month then I'm definitely going to get it checked out. I had an appendicitis a few years ago and have heard that it can leave scar lesions in the ovary area. Also worried it's perhaps cysts/endometriosis (Google is frying my brain!!). Have dtd up to Friday night but wondering if I in fact ov'd Sunday?! Extreme positive OPKs on Thursday all day and fainter on Friday, blank on sat, so I assumed I ov'd Friday. I know I should have really been temping but going to be gutted if yesterday was infact my ov day (which explains the pain!). DH been away working all weekend so could only manage up to Friday Sad Sorry for the mammoth rant! Will just need to wait and see if I've done enough!

Hope the rest of you are well!xx

Johno85 · 29/05/2016 17:46

Hi all. I've been keeping an eye on this thread but trying to be much more chilled out this cycle; was a complete stress head last one.

So last time with the dual hormone CB digital opk I had 20 days of flashing smileys and gave up! This cycle I wasn't going to bother with opk and just do bbt. This week had lots of ewcm so thought sod it I'll do an opk. 1 day of low fertility. 1 day flashing smiley and then BOOM solid smiley today!!!

Hopefully this means that if even if I don't catch the egg this month I should have a more normal cycle length as 10-14 days luteal length puts me at around a 33 day cycle max. I'm on cd 19 now and my last cycle was 44 days!

Purple I've been ttc since January and this is honestly the first time that I've actually felt like I've ov and got a peak opk. I was on the pill for 13 years so no wonder my body has to reboot! I think your chart is quite similar to how mine was the first month of temping; it's what I'm assuming they mean by "Rocky Mountains" where everything is trying to regulate. Have you tried agnus castus? This is the first month I've used it and it seems to have helped. Also everyone else; am I right in thinking that once you've confirmed OV you should stop taking it for the rest of the cycle?

Hope everyone is enjoying the BH sun Flowers

marmitetoast1 · 29/05/2016 12:34

Ooh I love Prague, have a great time!

Purpleviola14 · 29/05/2016 11:40

Definately sunny. Leaving it all it all at home! Hope you are enjoying all the excitement, let me know how your scan goes Smile
Thankyou marmite, going to Prague, can't wait! Think I am just going to concentrate on wellbeing, staying healthy, getting my vitamins and exercise for the time being!

Welcome jjspoon, I was exactly the same, in fact I still am with the odd one!

Hope everyone's having a nice bank holiday
Xx

Sunnydays321 · 29/05/2016 07:57

Yeah purple, you'll feel better on holiday too not having to worry about opks and temping. Just have lots of sexy time with dp and enjoy the break away.

Welscome jjspoon, I think I did find a page of abbreviations somewhere when I first started which was useful, il see if I can find the link... I also guessed a few and got them really wrong which could have been embarrassing! Haha.

Claire, sorry about af. Glad that lp was longer this time though, it's hard to know with the vitamins isn't it but they won't do any harm so I'd keep them up. Xx

Jjspoon · 28/05/2016 22:55

Hi everyone :) just joined! Just started ttc for 1st baby age 27. Took last pill 1st may (been on it for 12 years) had bleed 6-9th and now the waiting game! Had a few cramps and some spotting so far but I'm so impatient it feels like forever already waiting to find out how long my cycle will be so I can start tracking. All very exciting! I have no idea what all these abbreviations people are using are yet on here so forgive me for not knowing the lingo to use myself haha

ClaireSunflower · 28/05/2016 21:00

Hi all, did another test this morning (11dpo) and another bfn and then AF arrived a few hours later so I'm out this month. Despite a little pang of disappointment I'm not too upset this month because I was sort of expecting it. Plus, my worryingly short lp of 7 days last month has increased to 10 days which makes me feel a lot better. I must have nearly broken Google last month researching luteal phase defects! I was taking b complex vitamins all month and ac until ovulation so don't know if it was either of them that helped or just my body going back to more of a normal pattern.

Anyway I have treated myself to a takeaway, m&s Mississippi mud pie and some wine tonight. Onwards and upwards for next month! WineCake

marmitetoast1 · 28/05/2016 14:57

sunnydays ha, maybe that's where I went wrong, should have been buying other random items to strategically place on top!!

Where are you going on next week purple? Hope it's a lovely relaxing break away from it all for you!
