Thanks girls, I am pleased something is finally happening but my god does it feel like I've been kicked in the pelvis! She is back with a vengeance.

Claire-thanks, that's reassuring, hopefully it will get longer as you say. What are soy isoflavones? Never hear of them till now.
Xx

ClaireSunflower · 14/06/2016 19:42

Congrats jikkipug what a lovely story and gives us all a bit of hope! Wishing you a happy pregnancy!

purple sorry about AF and don't worry about your luteal phase. 10 days is fine, my first one was a very short 7 days which increased to 10 last time (and hopefully increasing)

I'm on cd18 and still no ovulation... The last 2 cycles I've ov'd on cd23 so bit of a long wait for me. I don't think agnus castus is doing a lot for me so I'm going to try soy isoflavones next cycle i think as they are supposed to bring ovulation forward.

Poin86 · 14/06/2016 17:38

Ah OK. I'm leaving off testing until tomorrow morning if she doesn't rear her head before then!

Have you tried Agnus Castus? (Sorry if you've mentioned it somewhere in the long feed) know a few girls did try it to shorten and regulated their periods. I didn't have to use that luckily for me as it contains lactose and my cycles went back to being regular straight away with strong OPKS.xx

marmitetoast1 · 14/06/2016 16:46

Thanks poin. Yeah i think Ovia bumps it back once you log no period. It kept bumping it back by a day at a time for almost 2 weeks for me last month - annoying!

I've realised that unless my cycle shortens significantly, my AF/etd is going to be while we're on holiday in Italy... Best pack a few sticks to pee on as well as tampons etc!!

Poin86 · 14/06/2016 14:49

FX Marmite - long cycles must be so annoying when TTC. Well.. nothing yet! Had a feeling of being "wet" a few times but nothing at all occurring. Ovia has bumped it back to tomorrow but not sure if it does that anyway if you tell it you haven't started your period on the day it thinks? I'm putting this out here as what normally happens is I say something is lost/late/traffic is bad and it seems to turn up/clear. Always happens so expect she will appear soon lol. Lost a ring not too long ago, put a post on FB and immediately found it where I'd already checked twice lol.xx

marmitetoast1 · 14/06/2016 13:18

32 days is within the 'normal' range pyjamas! I'd been pretty chuffed with that! Hoping my 36/37 days reduces this month...!

Jjspoon · 14/06/2016 12:49

Welcome to cycle 1 purple and pyjamas! Let's hope we all get a BFP this one!

Pyjamas81 · 14/06/2016 09:47

AF is finally here!! Will be the last time she's welcome ha ha. Cycle 1 - here we come. That means that was a 32 day wait for first AF, which isn't too bad - hopefully will be back to a regular 28 day one soon. Will just start OPK testing as if it were a 28 day cycle anyway, just in case!

I'll be symptom spotting along with you soon marmite!

Sorry* AF got you purple* - at least it's somewhat a return to normality though so you can start seeing what's what properly though Smile

marmitetoast1 · 14/06/2016 08:32

Congratulations jikkipug! That's a lovely positive outcome!

I thought I had Ov'd at weekend (based purely on cm and levels of friskiness!) but early hours of this morning woke up with sharp-ish pulling/twingeing/tugging sensation right where right ovary would be. This morning it has eased a bit but still tender/tuggy in same area. Just wondered if this matches what anyone else has that they think/know is Ov pain?
I have ibs so do get quite a lot of random twinges Grin but pretty sure it's not that as wrong area! I did also go to pilates class last night, so could just be random muscle twinge!??
I'm pretty sure I didn't have this either of previous 2 months but this could well be first month I've actually Ov'd since pill!
If that was Ov in the night, I have still got 3x dtds in last 5 days.

Glad and not got glad for your AF arrival purple. At least now you know where you are and can start afresh next cycle, for hopefully a shorter cycle!

Purpleviola14 · 13/06/2016 23:44

Oh and thanks for sharing Jikkipug, there's hope for us all, congratulations xx

Purpleviola14 · 13/06/2016 23:42

I think AF might have arrived Sad
On the other hand I'll be glad if it is as its my first since coming off the pill making that a 74 day cycle.
That would have made my luteal phase only 10 days. Just wondering if anyone else had experience of this?

Also thanks Marmite and hi Pyjamas! Welcome Smile
Xx

Pyjamas81 · 13/06/2016 23:22

Congrats Jikkipug! And thanks for sharing Smile

Poin86 · 13/06/2016 23:20

Congratulations Jikkipug hope for those long cycle girls!

AF should be here first thing tomorrow.. can normally set your watch by her so we will see!xx

CatMum87 · 13/06/2016 22:03

Jikkipig thank you for sharing your story, gives hope to us all with long cycles after the pill.

And a huge congratulations!!!! Xxx

Jikkipug · 13/06/2016 21:50

For all you worrying ladies I promised I'd write on one of these when my time came! It's a long one but hopefully it will help someone!
I went off birth control in the middle of March this year, since then I have not had a glimpse of a period! That would put me on cycle day 84 today.. Since stopping birth control I have had constant horrible cramps. I went to the doctors a month ago and had a blood test done and wee tests both to come back negative. The dr told me I most likely have a cyst or could even be pcos and put me on the waiting list for an ultrasound (which is 6 weeks!) all I wanted was to feel normal and have a period! The cramps have continued to this day, I love going out drinking with friends so did not stop as I have been told I'm not pregnant. 2 days ago nothing in the world seemed worse to me then alcohol, the smell the taste I felt so sick being around it so went home early. Out of curiosity today I had 1 cheapo test left so thought why not and took it.. INSTANT DARK LINE BEFORE TEST LINE! My fiancé went and bought a clear blue which shows pregnant 3+ weeks! (Apparently this mean you are at least 5) I am calling the dr in the morning to discuss what's next but cannot believe it! Even when you think your out keep hoping! No period went from a nightmare to the best thing for me :)

Pyjamas81 · 13/06/2016 20:27

Hi jj - I had thought about the Summer issue as well, but have now decided what will be will be!

Still no AF for me - losing patience, just want to be able to start frigging tracking properly!

Jjspoon · 13/06/2016 19:55

Cd13 and still no ewcm although I had lots last month.... starting to stress about it:(

Has anyone else thought about timings of due dates? I really didn't want to have a summer baby mostly because of them being the youngest in the school year and also because of the thought of being heavily pregnant during summer time! Should have started earlier really as if it's a BFN this month it'll be getting closer to a summer baby!

marmitetoast1 · 13/06/2016 07:51

I was on pill for 14 years straight! Seems crazy to think about it now! Only wish I'd come off sooner before starting TTC to give cycles a chance to settle down and get some idea of them.

Hope everyone has an alright Monday!

Pyjamas81 · 12/06/2016 21:49

Hi marmite! Good to see a fellow ex-microgynoner Grin You're right, it does feel reeeally long - but your experience has given me a bit of hope! I was only in Microgynon for a couple of months, had Nexplanon implant for 3 years before that, and bar a year's break, on Microgynon before that from about the age of 15! So, maybe the Nexplanon is playing a few cheeky tricks as well.

Know what you mean about first time unprotected sex - was so strange and had a minor wtf am I doing moment ha ha

marmitetoast1 · 12/06/2016 20:35

Hi Pyjamas! Welcome! I came off a pill similar to Microgynon too (Rigevidon - GP told me it was the same when they changed my prescription..) in early March and it took 37 days for my first AF to arrive after withdrawal bleed! Cycle 2 was 36 days. Felt like a reeally long time at the time, but on reflection it wasn't actually that long really compared to what some others have post-pill! Currently on 3rd cycle since stopping the pill and hoping it has shorted to more of a 'normal' length! I'm sure yours is just around the corner!

I felt a bit freaked out the first time we had unprotected sex - you spend so long actively avoiding it - by taking the pill every morning! - that it's bound to feel a little bizarre at first I think!

Poin86 · 12/06/2016 19:53

No worries, we've had to try and understand OPKS and they are still a bit alien to me at times! Haha I know what you mean, anxious about it already but have had to take the step back from the discussions as he was going through the stage of not even wanting to talk about it to have to ease it back in gently. We had a bit of an oops after he'd been away for 11 days but in all honesty I've not discussed the potential with him as no need to freak him out again if it's not happening lol.xx

Pyjamas81 · 12/06/2016 19:22

Thanks Poin! This is all so new to me, didn't even know what an OPK was before lol

Sorry to hear about the OH freak out! It all gets very real as soon as TTC starts ShockI had a minor freak out myself!

Poin86 · 12/06/2016 19:10

To me then, it looks like you probably have ovulate but have missed it this month. I returned to ovulating straight away after stopping the pill in October - we aren't technically trying at the moment as my OH had a freak out about it all! Periods went back to being regular as clockwork and short to boot. So hopefully, if you did OV then you should get AF roughly 14 days after and the luteal phase should be roughly that long 😊😊 xx

Pyjamas81 · 12/06/2016 18:51

Hi Poin!

The darker one (against the white background ) was today's! Who the hell knows what's going on lol

Boo to your cramping - hope AF stays away for you!

Poin86 · 12/06/2016 18:23

Hi pyjamas! Is the one that is lighter today's one? Means you may have had a surge before estimated "CD26" as needs to be the same darkness or darker for a + OPK. Hopefully AF makes an appearance for you soon so you can get tracking or you get that BFP if you've already started trying.xx

Cramping has kicked in 😔😔 bit earlier than normal as normally only get within 12 hours of AF hitting and my CM seems to have dried up a lot more (still a tiny bit there but dried in my underwear) over the course of the day so taking that that I'm out!xx
