I've got a very specific pain on the right lower side of my abdomen. It's not implantation pain, right? No...Probably just ate something that disagreed with me...Hmm

Johno85 · 19/06/2016 18:20

Hey purple I'm on cd9 so we're at a similar part of our cycle. How long are your cycles normally?

I used to think I had amazing skin and that I wasn't very hairy- could go weeks without shaving my legs; since coming off the pill I've noticed a real change! I'm not talking lots of spots but it definitely coincides with ovulation and AF! Saying that I don't think I'll ever be tempted to go back on the pill.

Fx for anyone testing soon X

Purpleviola14 · 19/06/2016 18:01

Hi everyone, been a bit awol this week as had lots on.
Hope everyone is ok. Ooh Loula thanks for the tip I'm gunna have to get on and get me one of those.
Currently on cycle 2 CD7 and waiting for ovulation, feels so good to be saying that instead of CD 75!
Welcome to all the newbies too Smile

Xx

Jikkipug · 19/06/2016 17:45

Sorry to but in! I had urine and a blood test at 4 weeks pregnant and both came back completely negative!! Not sure how soon after it showed but I tested again at 7 weeks and got my BFP. Some people don't get a positive right away incase you are worrying :)

Loulabelle1990 · 19/06/2016 17:33

I believe I am entering my fertile week next week. Been testing with my CB opk and they've been negative so far, but I have been testing really early just in case, but today I noticed some EWCM so I am hoping I'll ovulate sometime next week!

If anyone wants the CB digital opk you can get it on amazon with 20% off at the moment!

I agree with bobo, 15 DPO should be plenty! Fx for you :-).

How's your tww going so far bobo? Symptom spotting yet?!

BoBo90 · 19/06/2016 17:00

Jj It should definitely pick it up by 15dpo. I've seen lots of people testing from 10dpo and having accurate results so I tend to yet from then if I get impatient! 😄

Jjspoon · 19/06/2016 16:28

It's a bit confusing when you can actually test isn't it as even if it says 4 days before missed period surely this depends how long your lp is? If lp is only 10 days then 4 days before would only be 6dpo and that wouldn't pick up on a test? I'm going to test this month around cd30/15dpo as have a night out planned the next day and will have a drink if bfn! Surely it would defo pick up by then if BFP?

sarahhh1984 · 19/06/2016 16:22

Oh, and thanks Bobo for the welcome too!

sarahhh1984 · 19/06/2016 16:22

Thanks Claire! I'm such an impatient person - so keen to get going! Sure my DH won't be complaining though! Wink

Amazing news on the scan jikkiplug!

I hear you all on the horrendous spots - I have had a constant breakout since coming off the pill 3 months ago - doesn't even seem to be based on time of the month!? They're on my chin but also down the sides of my neck - hideous!! Even my usual secret weapon (Sudocrem) isn't even putting a dent in them!!

All quite on the TTC front here just now... CD24... about 5 days post OV...

ClaireSunflower · 19/06/2016 11:04

jjspoon and loula I know what you mean, my skin has been terrible since coming off the pill! Particularly around ovulation and af. I really hope it's just hormones settling down after the pill and not just what my skin is going to be like now. In nearly 30 and spots are not a good look!

jikkipug aw that's lovely, must have been so nice to see baby's heartbeat and amazing you are so far along already.

Good luck to you sarah exciting that you are now finished with the pill and officially ttc!

I am now 1dpo, so in my 2ww. DtD 2 days before, 1 day before and day of ovulation so hoping I managed to catch that egg this time. Thing hubby needs a rest now lol.

sarahhh1984 · 19/06/2016 09:09

Well, that's it. Last pill was taken yesterday and now I'm awaiting my withdrawal bleed. It usually starts like clockwork on the Tuesday evening after my last pill and lasts about five days, so once that's out the way I'm officially ttc!

That being said, this last week has been distinctly odd. I normally don't get any cramps until the day my withdrawal bleed is due but I've had low level cramping and nausea more or less all week. At first I thought it was all in my head because I'd been reading up so much on ttc but it's just lasting and lasting. Hope I'm not coming down with something. Confused

Xx

Jikkipug · 18/06/2016 22:55

Thank you! I was on the COCP it was Microgynon for about 9 years then Rigevidon for the past 2. Since the day after my withdrawal bleed I had every preg symptom going so didn't notice anything different! Mostly I had constant cramps that have only just stopped :)

MishyBakes · 18/06/2016 22:33

That's wonderful news jikkipug! Huge congrats, hope the pregnancy goes well Smile

Just out of interest, were you on the POP or COCP?

Loulabelle1990 · 18/06/2016 22:04

Oh I'm with you ladies and the spots! I used to have such clear skin and everyone would comment - now I'm getting more spots. Especially on my chin. Even DH said about it Blush. Loads of concealer!

Congrats again jikki, your were one of the lucky ones! Wish I'd got preg after 3 weeks!

Jjspoon · 18/06/2016 21:35

Yay jikkibug! Thanks for the update:) bet it was lush to see the little bab! Gives us hope it can happen so quickly!

mishy glad it's not just me. I haven't started using anything for the spots yet just my usual routine, be good to hear some recommendations. Everything I tried before didn't work for me unfortunately so really hoping it doesn't get bad and there are some new wonders on the market. The pill was the only thing that helped me before.

Jikkipug · 18/06/2016 21:22

UPDATE - Being as impatient as I am, I paid for a private ultrasound today thinking I was 5/6 weeks and you wouldn't see much.. Turns out I'm 8 weeks pregnant and saw the babies heartbeat! Which means I got pregnant 3 weeks after stopping the birth control pill I was on for 11 years!! All this time I was waiting for a period I was never going to get.. Good luck on all your BFP ladies, strange things do happen! X

MishyBakes · 18/06/2016 21:10

Jjspoon same with the acne and the strong emotions. I've wondered if I was like this before I went on the pill, but because it was so long ago, I forgot? Wish I knew the answer with the spots. I've used sudocreme, does anyone have any suggestions for good spot creams?

Jjspoon · 18/06/2016 21:01

I'm also getting spotty now... I was on the pill lucette for my skin and the dreaded spots are starting to return already over the last week or so :(. Hope I don't end up as bad as I was before changing to lucette a few years ago as it made me really upset and self conscious and it made a massive difference when I was on it. Never thought I'd still be struggling with acne at age 27.

Jjspoon · 18/06/2016 20:53

Anyone else more emotional since coming off the pill? I used to be quite emotionally stable and I was very good at not showing my emotions at least (even if something upset me I could hold it in). I'm a bit of an emotional wreck at the moment. I seem to be getting upset so much more easily and have actually cried a fair few times! I don't know if it my hormones still settling down or if something has changed and it's unrelated to the pill (such as having a more stressful time at work recently) but I'm not enjoying it one bit. 7 weeks off the pill now. God knows what I'll be like when actually pregnant but feel sorry for my OH already lol.

Loulabelle1990 · 17/06/2016 18:58

It's best to use the Internet cheapies if you don't know how long your cycles are.

So happy for you Claire! Fx it works for you this month!

I started wit my CB opk today and it was negative, but I know I'm testing early as it says to start testing based on your shortest cycle. Hopefully I'll get flashy smilies and a static one next week!

Pyjamas81 · 17/06/2016 18:51

Exciting re positive* opk Claire*!

First real AF lasted two days (fine by me ha ha) so now am ovulation symptom spotting - will use opks as have no idea how long cycle is!

ClaireSunflower · 17/06/2016 18:42

Hi, welcome to the thread artynic and sarah! you are in good company here as we are all familiar with the craziness that is coming off the pill and ttc. I am on my third cycle after coming off at the end of March.

Got a positive opk today. Did and Internet cheapie this morning and got a very nearly positive and did and clear blue one at lunchtime which was a static smiley!. I was out for lunch with my work colleague and she asked me if I got lost on my way Blush Must have been doing a happy dance for too long lol.
DTD yesterday and 2 days before that so hopefully will be enough. Hubby will get jumped on later once more for good measure!

sarahhh1984 · 17/06/2016 14:56

Thanks loula! Will probably wait to see if we have any luck straight away or, if not, wait a few months for my cycle to sort itself out and then start with thermometers, OPKs etc. then. For now I just want to let nature run its course. It came as enough of a surprise to my DH when I said I wanted to start trying. I think he'd pass out if he knew about all the peeing in pots that can come with it!

Fx the OPKs work out for you and you get a BFP soon! Smile xx
