Thank you Loulabelle.

I didn't know what a ttw was until very recently. Now it's my main obsession. 😃

Loulabelle1990 · 23/06/2016 11:16

Hi johno!

I started testingearly too but I tested every day just in case I missed my surge otherwise I'll be questioning it so I done everyday for my own sanity!

Welcome pesky! Nice to have another newbie on board!

The tww always does seem to just drag on! Keeping my fx for you Hun xx

peskyfeelings · 23/06/2016 08:06

Hello ladies,

May I join the party please? I need some people to drive myself bonkers with. It's far more fun than alone😊

Name: peskyfeelings
Age: 37
TTC: #1
Came off pill in April
Had 2 cycles, now been getting dark lines on ov sticks since CD 18 & it's CD24 now! Been having endless cramps and twinges since then. This TTC thing is a tricky business!

Johno85 · 23/06/2016 07:36

Morning ladies. Sounds like everyone's cycles are ticking along. CD 13 today. Did a digital opk this morning through as was doubled over with one sided abdominal pain yesterday but it was a negative. If it's anything like the last cycle I won't be ov till about cd 20. I should know this but if you tested with dual hormone digital opk you don't have to do it every day if you've tested a little too early do you? I think I read somewhere you could not test for up to three days? Any thoughts? Hmm

How are all our resident preggos doings? X

BoBo90 · 23/06/2016 07:16

I'm glad your now into cycle 1 Sarah 😄

Im 7dpo now and this feels like the longest bloody tww ever 🙁 I just want to test already grr!

Thanks Loula. I'm taking Seven Seas Trying For A Baby which some people have said helped regulate their cycle more quickly so I'm hoping for the best, although trying not to get ahead of myself.

The only problem with being freelance is all I can get is Statutory Maternity Benefit which is not great. But I'd have only got SMP at my last "proper" job anyhow and they had no maternity benefits and were really stingy about flexible working (you could have it, but if you did you needn't expect things like pay reviews and you were expected to do the same amount as everyone else, just in less time!). At least working for myself I can make the decisions about working around a family rather than fitting a family around work!

When I told my DH I was ready to start TTC, the first thing he asked is "can we afford a baby?" but, as you say, I don't think anyone ever can!

Loulabelle1990 · 22/06/2016 13:39

Ahh good, I was worried I'd be putting it in danger etc! I told my mum about it too and she told me not to be so silly haha.

Hope your meeting goes okay marmite! You'll have to let us know how you get on! Will be a good holiday present if you get a BFP! Where are you off to?

Oh once I get my BFP it'll for sure go down like a lead balloon here too. We're already short staffed as it is! Send the place into meltdown haha! But you gotta be selfish sometimes! My place offers no maternity benefits/maternity pay apart from SMP which is crap! But hey ho! I have always been told you can never afford a baby and if you always think like that you'll never have them!

Glad you got your withdrawal bleed Sarah! Fx your cycles regulate themselves quickly xx

sarahhh1984 · 22/06/2016 12:46

Sorry to hear about the bad times people are having in work. I took the plunge earlier this year and went freelance because I hated my bosses and the company I was working for. Plus, I knew that when I eventually did become pregnant it would cause no end of hassle as they weren't very family-friendly.

Not sure how viable being a freelancer and working from home will be when I do have a baby, but at least for now I know I can manage childcare myself without having to ask anyone's permission! Fx work gets better for all of you having problems.

Update on my situation: withdrawal bleed showed up when expected (if a good few hours earlier than usual) and the crazy symptoms I was experiencing went away with it, so I'm guessing it was just extreme PMT! So now I'm officially on Cycle 1 and, once this bleed's out of the way I'll be getting my DH to DTD as much as possible. Wink Sure he won't mind too much...

ClaireSunflower · 22/06/2016 12:27

Aw sorry to all having a tough time at work! I have stressful days at my place too. Yesterday was no fun at all. It's hard when you are trying to stay relaxed for ttc when work is a nightmare. I imagine a bfp will go down like a lead balloon at my work too but like bobo said, tough! Lol and I am looking forward to the day I leave there for maternity leave Smile

marmitetoast1 · 22/06/2016 08:11

Ha Bobo it would be a distraction though!

Thanks all, I have a meeting with my manager today to discuss some of my concerns... Hope I don't cry/wuss out as I hate confrontation!

I think I am going to wait til on holiday to test if AF hasn't arrived... Will just pack plenty tampax and wee sticks haha!

Woo for flashing smiley lou get on it!! Grin

BoBo90 · 22/06/2016 07:50

Woo for the flashing smiley 🎉 Lou!
The walking holiday sounds great and won't do any harm if you are carrying a little extra bundle along with you 😉 Exercise is good in pregnancy as long as you don't over exert yourself 🙂

Hello ladies how are we all? Sorry to hear of stressful times at work! I had the day from hell yesterday but today is a new day lol!

Fx to those ladies testing this weekend! Make sure to keep us posted!

I finally got my flashing smiley this morning! Told DH we need to DTD tonight or else!

I've booked to go on a "walking holiday" with my dad and other people to Wales up a mountain and general walking around in August. Do you think this would affect anything if I do get pregnant before then?!

Fx to those in their tww at the moment! Fx this is your month!

BoBo90 · 22/06/2016 07:08

Haha Marmite I think I myth get some funny looks if I break into a twerk every time I think of testing!
I know I will want to test Sunday so I will officially test Sunday at 10dpo! Fx I will at least get a faint line - I've let myself get hopeful after seeing the Ewcm for first time so if I'm not preggers it's not going to be pretty haha!

Good to hear from you Help, I thought you had left us! The cramps sound promising!! Keep monitoring everything and jump the oh/dh 🙂

Sorry to those suffering at work 🙁 There's nothing worse than having to go into a place everyday knowing it's going to be hell and to have that heavy feeling bringing you down all the time!
Stay positive girls and remember if you get your bfp's you get a nice long break from work and if they don't like it tough!! It's your right so screw them 😄

Hello everyone how's ttc going sorry havnt been on in a while just was busy so currently on cycle 4 Cd20 no signs of ov or dat but got pains Friday like period pains so home it was something :( I'm really devastated that all my friends are now pregnant n I'm not n there only trying a few weeks :(

Jjspoon · 21/06/2016 17:53

Marmite and purple I'm so stressed at work at the moment too, sucks doesn't it. I keep trying to tell myself to chill out and I can only do what I can at work but it's so hard not to let it get to me. Especially when like you girls I have other more important things to think about. I think when I do get BFP it'll go down like a lead balloon at work... don't think they'll be happy at all!

Jjspoon · 21/06/2016 17:49

15dpo will be next Thursday 30th but that seems so far away :(! I'm tempted to test a few days before but at the same time if I get a BFN I would want to test again then anyway if af wasn't here. Monday will be cd27 which was cd1/when I got AF last month so maybe I will test then if I get impatient!

Purpleviola14 · 21/06/2016 14:42

Lmao marmite at twerking to distract from the, sounds like an advert or something.
Urgh your boss sounds awful poor you, don't let it get you down, I've had some serious chats with myself recently about how important it is to be happy at work and stress free, especially in this ttc game. Xx

marmitetoast1 · 21/06/2016 13:31

Thanks purple and mishy, yes, I've been let down and treated quite badly by my totally and utterly incompetent manager and I've been feeling very stressed/upset/angry. Even though I know those feelings aren't good for me I can't seem to turn them off at the moment! Thank goodness i'm off on holiday on Saturday at least!

Bobo skim reading the page there I thought you said we had a big group of twerkers at first Grin as opposed to tww-ers! Pahahah. Maybe we should just all twerk to distract us from 2ww?!

Haven't decided when to test yet, I was going to wait until AF actually due. But obviously still unclear on cycle length. If 36 days again that takes me 2nd July. But I think/hope it might be a bit shorter this time. We are off on holiday on Saturday - 25th June - so part of me is tempted to test that morning before we go...that way will know more about Wine situ!! That would be CD30 for me. Can't decide if i'd feel a bit mental finding out one way or other then getting on a plane though. What do you guys think, test on Saturday or chuck a few tests in suitcase and give it a bit longer and do it when I'm there and (hopefully) nice and chilled about it all?!? I think I am currently about 7dpo. So by Saturday morning I would be about 11dpo. I do have a couple of Frers stashed... [hhmm]

What date will be 15dpo for you Jj?
Are you thinking Sunday or Monday Bobo?
When are you thinking of testing Claire?

Jjspoon · 21/06/2016 13:03

(I dont think I ovulated last cycle so that's why I don't think I can go by that to guess this month or lp)

Jjspoon · 21/06/2016 12:54

Hi bobo I'm not sure when I'll test... going to try and hold out as long as poss but definitely by 15dpo as I have a night out planned and want to have a few drinks if not! I have no idea how long my lp is yet as last month only 26 day cycle so I'm guessing this cycle will be a bit longer otherwise it would only be 11 day lp but maybe that is right, I don't know yet!

MishyBakes · 21/06/2016 08:53

That's great purple, thanks for sharing that chart. Quite looking forward to seeing a pattern using the bbt thermometer! I'll answer to mushy, no need to correct it!

Fx for everyone in the tww!

BoBo90 · 21/06/2016 07:51

Ooh we've got quite a big group of tww'ers!

I'm 5dpo today too Jj 🙂 When are you going to test? I was thinking of testing Sunday at 10dpo but not sure whether to wait until Monday. I only have a 12 day lp

When is everyone else testing? Marmite? Claire? 🙂

OP posts:
Jjspoon · 20/06/2016 22:59

I'm in 2ww too :) 5dpo today so marmite and bobo guess we will be testing around the same time and maybe claire too? Absolutely no symptoms for me at all yet though.

sarahhh1984 · 20/06/2016 21:34

Thanks purple. Smile

I know it probably sounds bonkers, but I kind of don't want to test at the moment. I feel like if I start testing now to put my mind at ease, I'll end up doing it every month (or, knowing me, every week!). I pretty much know I can't be pregnant (unless I'm experiencing one of the most opportune pill failures ever!) so I think unless my withdrawal bleed doesn't happen, or I continue feeling off after it does, I'll just not test for now.

Although if nature doesn't take its course in the first few months, I'll probably start peeing on every stick in sight! Wink

Fx for everyone in their 2ww from me as well.

Xx
