DH keeps telling me not to stress, easy for him to say!

Fingers crossed you caught the egg but it seems to me you've done all you can this cycle. You'll have to let me know how you get on. Are you going to continue testing?

I have heard of a few people saying it missed their surge and they just got flashing highs. Even if you dip it in water it will flash as a high until it detects your surge. More confused than ever this month, then I wondered if it was being off because I started taking seven seas. We'll never know!

I have no idea how many DPO I am to be honest. I stopped testing this Wednesday but got all ov symptoms last week.

Love the names for the white stuff, brilliant! Grin.

Hey may, nice to see you here again! Sorry your cycles are getting longer, makes you wonder what on earth is going on doesn't it!

May07 · 01/07/2016 22:02

Hi all just wanted to pop in and say hello. It's a looong time since I posted but have still been trying to follow just a little less regularly! Found I was thinking about it all too much.

Glad to see there has been another BFP! Congrats jjspoon!! 😄

Sorry for everyone AF continues to keep getting!! 😡

Fingers crossed for a stress free week and no AF cookie.

Nothing to report here. Thought I ov'd around day 25 and now day 44. So allowed myself to test this last few days but both cheapies and frer whiter than white!! Despite thinking my cycles were reducing (33, 41, 28) they are just going back up again! Means I didn't ov on 25 and unfortunately didn't manage to keep DTD so not a chance now. With busy lives and long cycles just can't manage to keep trying so regularly but then get frustrated when in this position.

Johno I wondered the same about CB digital. I haven't used consistently and used opks more regularly, but noticed that some months had lines that were clear positives for 2 days then other months lines just the same colour and for one opk only. So assumed some months surge was just shorter and CB could easily miss but who knows! Soooo confusing!!

Johno85 · 01/07/2016 21:25

Hey Lou. I'm ok. Still "trying not be stressed" Hmm

What cycle day and dpo are you now?
Well last cycle I had like 2 low, 4 high and then peak.
This time I'm on 2 low and 5 highs. Can't imagine I'll get a peak now. Most my ov pains have gone and bbt seems to support the fact I've already ov, esp with the spotting I've had.

2 more days of dtd and I fear any more and my DH's bits will fall off!!! Wink

We were talking about names for ahem the white stuff. He says some hilarious stuff I have no idea where he gets it from. The best was "population paste" Grin

Going back to the CB DIGITAL opk. I guess it remembers and goes by your normal levels. If it registered high and then as you only test fmu you could in theory completely miss the LH surge for ov and be right back to flashing smiley.... Or am I kidding myself?

Have told myself if we don't start cooking our mini Johno this month in just gonna have a break from bbt, opk and see what happens and enjoy my 2 weeks holiday in the sun X

Loulabelle1990 · 01/07/2016 19:37

Hi johno, how are you?

I had the same this cycle - I got 8 highs and gave up! Too stressful. DTD on the first day of flashing smiley and everyday for 5 days. I am hoping that was enough, now I'm thinking it either missed my peak or I didn't ovulate.

How many flashing smileys have you had so far? Last cycle it worked brilliantly - 5 highs then peak.

I had the EWCM too before I got my high and also ov pain so who knows xxx

Johno85 · 01/07/2016 19:34

Hi gang. Been plodding along with my "fertile week". Day 21 now. DH and I thought sod it and have dtd every single day- we are going for 7 days straight and if that doesn't do it I don't know what will?!

Pretty sure I've already ov but CB digital opk has other thoughts. What do people think about the CB digital tests missed peak (as you only do FMU) and carrying on with high (flashing smiley) fertility. My bbt dipped today and assuming it will rise tomorrow. Also had a bit of spotting and ewcm is a distant memory. Any thoughts/ideas very much welcome.

Fx for anyone in 2ww X

Cookie22 · 01/07/2016 10:28

Sparkle, I do get mood swings prior to AF (tho no idea if it's AF related or if I'm just being a moody cow!). I'd definitely speak to you doctor about it!

3dpo for me, or possibly 4dpo! Once it gets to Monday I'll be on AF watch as the witch arrived within a week of ov last time! I'm on my big long summer holidays at the moment so I'm hoping that zero work related stress and complete relaxation may make a potential bean stick! Xx

sarahhh1984 · 01/07/2016 09:34

Hi sparkle, before I went on the pill I used to get bad PMS. My doctor at the time said he didn't recommend taking anything and the best thing was keeping hydrated and having a good diet. He also said to not have too much caffeine as that can affect mood. That was quite a long time ago now though, so there may be something GPs do recommend now.

I, on the other hand, am now remembering the irritating symptoms I used to get mid-cycle back before I went on the pill. They would have probably coincided with ovulation, thinking back as they always showed around the mid-point, and I'm starting to get them again: lower abdomen feeling "full", tense and uncomfortable accompanied by nausea and horrible tastes in my mouth - hurrah!

Oh well, at least it may hopefully mean I am ovulating. Will have to see if/when AF turns up, keep DTD and hope for the best.

sparkle789 · 01/07/2016 08:39

Does anyone else get really bad pmt?
It's the reason I went on the pill because I get really angry and low for 2 weeks before af. The last 2 months I've been ok but this month it's awful again. Is there anything else I can take to reduce the symptoms?

Loulabelle1990 · 01/07/2016 07:44

Sorry marmite and Claire! It's so frustrating but try not to be too disheartened (I should really start taking my own advice!).

I think I am in the tww?? I have no idea right now to be honest! I am if I ovulated haha.

I am on CD 27 today. According to ovia ad due next weekend. Only 'symptom' really is a sore left boob which is random but I'm not looking into it too much.

Fx we get some more BFP's soon!

MishyBakes · 01/07/2016 07:26

Sorry AF turned up Bobo and Claire. Hope you both treat yourselves to lots of lovely things WineChocolate

Defo in the tww now. Mostly okay apart from occasional cramping and backache. Doing my best not to symptom spot and go crazy. How is everyone? Glad it's nearly the weekend!

BoBo90 · 01/07/2016 06:54

Sorry about af marmite and Claire! Onwards and upwards lovelies 😄

I think our new tww'ers are Lou and cookie!! Exciting times 🙂 I am eagerly awaiting testing day for you both!

Sorry to hear of AF marmite and Claire. Enjoy your trip to Stockholm claire, it sounds amazing! I've always fancied going there. Allow yourself time to chill out & indulge in all those things you couldn't have if you were preggers Wine xx

AnnaKateNZ · 30/06/2016 08:15

Sorry about AF bobo and claire! All the best for next month xx

ClaireSunflower · 30/06/2016 06:40

Woke up to a very unwelcome visitor AF this morning. Feeling quite down about it. It's only our 3rd month of trying but I can't help but worry why it's not working. Felt like I timed everything perfectly this month too.

Sorry to hear AF got you too marmite. Hopefully next month will be our month! It's good you have the vineyard to look forward to and enjoy a drink.

I am going to let myself be a bit sad about it today and will try to be positive. I'm going to Stockholm tomorrow for my 30th birthday so at least I have a nice weekend to look forward to.

marmitetoast1 · 29/06/2016 22:43

Hi all, so AF has just arrived this evening. A bit annoying but not feeling too down about it as was only cycle 2 and actually is quite good timing really as off to a vineyard tomorrow - silver linings!! Wine Also, that means I've had a 33 day cycle which I'm pretty chuffed about as finally within the 'normal' range. Onwards and upwards for cycle 3.

Sorry for your AF bobo

Hope you managed the not drinking excuses ok jj!!

Cookie22 · 29/06/2016 19:16

Sorry to hear about af Bobo, you poor thing! It gets harder every cycle doesn't it? Sad hugs Mrs, look after yourself FlowersChocolate The fertility special on This Morning was quite interesting though didn't really tell me anything that I didn't know already! Quite a lot of the calls were based around age & fertility. Would recommend watching it on catch up!

Ooh JJ I think I would struggle with the not drinking excuses too. Everyone sees me as the social butterfly 'life and soul of the party' type girl & I think they would know right away if I said I was on the orange juice all night. The migraine excuse sounds like a good one! Xx

ClaireSunflower · 29/06/2016 18:40

Sorry about AF bobo hope you're ok and that next cycle will be the one. I think will be joining you with the witch soon as I've had cramps all day and pink/brown cm which is a sure sign she's on the way.
Did a test this morning (11dpo) and bfn for me. Will try again tomorrow.

Glad you're doing well jj it's a tough one with not drinking around work people isn't it! My work go out for drinks quite a lot and I've even had comments about why I am not drinking so much (cutting down when ttc - not that they know) especially in the 2ww. And that's even when I've had one or two glasses of wine!

sarahhh1984 · 29/06/2016 17:44

My friend had to do that recently, Jj. She found the best excuse was pretending she was on antibiotics for a sinus infection. As it gave her a full week of excuses so she was covered for two weekends! She said the other one was a pretend migraine. That one was a work night out so she was able to make a big show of pretending to take her migraine tablets during the afternoon in the office. Wink

Jjspoon · 29/06/2016 17:36

Eeeeee I'm in the preggo section lol.

Sorry to hear AF appeared bobo... fx for this cycle and taking a more relaxed approach. This ttc stuff is so stressful!

I'm feeling so nervous every single time I go to the loo that I'm going to find blood... I haven't at all but I'm still having cramps. I know it's normal but it's just scary now :(

I have a work night out Friday... first time I'll have to make up an excuse for not drinking. And the first drink is free. Not sure how I'll get round that one, not even having the free one?! I'm thinking I might say I feel a migraine coming on so don't want to worsen it but I hate lying to anyone even if it is a little fib! Or maybe just accepting it and chucking it down the loo when no one is looking...

Loulabelle1990 · 29/06/2016 17:34

That was meant to say sorry AF got you!!

Loulabelle1990 · 29/06/2016 17:33

So AF got you bobo! Onwards and upwards to next cycle!

That's what I am thinking, I have just missed my surge! I actually want to punch the flashing smiley in the face so I can't test anymore cos it's stressing me out!

I am going to adapt the same attitude as you next cycle! I've said to DH the opk is just stressing me more than it should so I'd rather DTD at least every other day throughout my cycle and hope we catch the egg that way!

Welcome sparkle! Glad you got Mr static smiley! Fx for you xxx

sparkle789 · 29/06/2016 14:19

Hi, I've been lurking since I joined this thread.

On cycle 3 now. Cd 16 and I got a static smiley on the opk this morning. I'm so relieved when we were ttc dd2 I only ovulated 2 in the year we were trying so I've been worried it was going to be the same this time, but a positive opk gives me hope!

BoBo90 · 29/06/2016 13:50

Af arrived this morning (a day late Angry she was clearly winding me up) so I'm now on cycle 6/month 8. Dh and I decided we would go old school this cycle so no AC, preseed, pregnacare or opks! Just good old cm monitoring, folic acid and dtd every 2/3 days. I am actually looking forward to seeing how my body is doing without all the extra help Grin

Thanks for all the cervix advice ladies Grin I think it's probably just bigger during the tww. I'll see what it's like after af buggers off and decide if I can be bothered to show my foo foo to a dr/nurse Blush

Cookie - I didn't get home from work in time for This Morning today Sad any interesting advice on there?

Lou - The only thing I can think that would stop you getting a solid smiley then is that you are missing your surge by testing once a day. I know you are only meant to with the cb ones so not much you can do... but if you had a surge half way through the night it might be gone by the time you test the next day Smile fx that you caught that pesky egg my lovely Grin

Ah congratulations JJ! So happy for you Hun!

I tried to post yesterday but it wouldn't let me & said there was an error??

Anyway. Sorry for those wit bfn's! Fx your just testing too early!

Bobo - I only text once a day with my CB. Another flashing smiley today so I'm not going to test anymore this cycle as I also used my last stick! DTD from the day I first got a high reading on Wednesday to Sunday so hoping if it had missed my surge, that my egg gets caught! Just so frustrating as I've no idea how many DPO I am or if I even ovulated! Hey ho xx

Cookie22 · 28/06/2016 20:42

Thanks for that info JJ, I guess i should keep up dtd for another few days to cover myself. Poor DH is stressed because of work and not really in the mood but I'll try my best to seduce lol.

I thought i'd let you all know that This Morning are doing a Fertility phone in special tomorrow morning. I'm on my school holidays at the mo (Scottish teacher!) and have been able to indulge in daytime tv. It looks quite interesting so yous might want to watch/record! xx
