New thread here as I love the other thread I follow but 35th birthday in two weeks and cycle #6 of TTC atm Envy

Finding it hard to relate to some of the other threads with people joining in and getting upduffed on month1. Happy for them, but making me feel a bit Sad

Also not 25 anymore (big inner child but that doesnt count Grin) and I can't afford the "it will happen to you", "just relax" ways as I don't have bloody time!!! ConfusedConfused

Anyone out there wants to join me for some TMI, rant, support and positive chats that say we can still do this!!!!!!

Evergreen Only a day late but got a bit over excited. No doubt AF will turn up as a nice treat over the weekend.

I wouldn't buy anything until I am about ready to pop. Talk about counting their chickens.....at least then if it doesn't work I can treat myself to some new shoes or handbag Wink

Evergreen17 · 22/04/2016 15:06

Question here:
So in other chats lots of people said they were already buying things like prams and stuff.
I can't do that as I am so scared it might not happen to us that I could not start buying things!!!
Until I get a BFP and one that sticks, I am being very careful not to end up disappointed
What are your thoughts on this?

Hello petite!!
Welcome!! Nice little group we have here already Smile
"25 y o moaning because they cant have their 3rd child" Grin
True story
Damn the negative test Sad Are you late? Maybe still hopes?
Bath maybe you should save the sticks for next cycle, it looks like by using the wrong holder might not be giving the right info? And they are expensive! Just dtd a bit more Wink

Hi petite, welcome to the thread and sorry to hear about your negative.

Bathlover - my SIL had the same problem with constant flashing smilies and no constant - like you she just decided to dtd lots and keep her fingers crossed. Looks like it worked as my niece is 3 months old now Grin

Hope you're all ok today

Bathlover · 22/04/2016 11:29

Sorry for your negative this morning P, doesn't matter how much you expect it, still makes you feel like crap.

Sodding flashing smiley this morning. Again. Going to stop testing as it's just wasting sticks. OH home tonight so will DTD next few days till Sunday.

petiteange28 · 22/04/2016 09:21

Yes yes yes. You are my savior. I was just looking through threads and was about to start my own rant group and found this little beauty. Cannot face reading threads with any more 25 year olds moaning because they cannot have their 3rd child. I'd be grateful with one at 35. (Sorry can you tell I did a pregnancy test and got a negative this morning - bah humbug)

My details:

35
TTC #1
TTC for around 5 months

Blueskies80 · 21/04/2016 22:30

Thanks evergreen, I think I must have had that in my head as i can't take it post ovulation for my horrendous pmt... Boo. It was so bad this month, I was so upset but not helped by the fact it was one year since mc1 at the weekend.

Fingers crossed for smiley faces on opks for all xxx

Bathlover · 21/04/2016 19:30

Checked the paperwork and it's 2-7 days abstinence. Must not be more than 7, test is Wed morning so Sunday night is the last really. Let's hope I get that static smiley face tomorrow!

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 19:30

Blueskies yes you can! I take it to improve my CM but you can only take it from CD1 to ovulation day

OP posts:
Blueskies80 · 21/04/2016 17:22

Rant away evergreen!!! It seems so unfair at times... After my MCs all these bumps appeared out of nowhere! Argh! But we will get there... Things can change in a blink of an eye.
I can't cope with opks!! Good luck to all who are trying to work them out!

Yay, welcome ram!! Great you've signed up to mn!

Evergreen, can you take evening primrose oil (if that's what epo is) when TTC? That would be great if so as it works wonders with my horrendous pmt but was avoiding it as thought it couldn't be taken while TTC... I am probably completely wrong as I can't even remember reading that, just something I had in the back of my brain!

I am thrilled I can drink this weekend as its a friends wedding! Trying to look on the positive side Wine

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 16:37

Lulah glad to know rants are welcome Wink**

Bath that makes sense. Because this things are super sensitive I have to use 10 sticks from the same pack for my fertility monitor. Glad they sorted that out for you!
I used the monitor today for the first time, very exciting!!!
I hope the SA tests go ok!!
Frankie I take the seven seas for TTC and also vitD because I have deficiency (this was before TTC) and I take 3000 mg a day of epo, this is my second month with the EPO

Hi Rams - welcome to the thread Smile

Glad you got the clear blue issue sorted Bathlover - I sometimes feel like I need a phd to work out how all the various opks work Grin

Hope we get some BFPs on this thread too Evergreen - I won't be getting one anytime soon as I'm only on CD3 but at least it means I can have Wine this weekend! Don't let the girl at work get you down - I know exactly how you feel though so rant away to us!

GundogFrankie · 21/04/2016 15:55

Hi Rams

Bath my DH had his SA last week and it was 3-5 days before that we had to stop DTD.

Is anyone taking any vitamins/supplements? I just take folic acid and 1000mg Vit C & zinc.

Bathlover · 21/04/2016 15:23

Hey Rams :)

So I phoned Clear Blue and they were very helpful, turns out that I shouldn't have started using the new holder halfway through, but continue using the old one, so that gives me day 6 of highs, I am now CD 16.

Usually OV around day 13-16 looking at other charts - so it could be tomorrow. Have DTD lots. So I am covered and will carry on again tomorrow when OH is back until either a static smiley or 3 more sticks (they say stop using hem after 9 days of flashing smilies)

OH SA is next week - need to go read letter of when we need to stop DTD actually before it as can't remember from last one is it is a couple of days or more...

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 14:40

Hello Rams! Welcome!!! Hoping that we start getting some BFPs over here soon!!!!
I am only CD6 so not even trying dtd Grin

Hi all! Having been browsing for some time, this thread has inspired me to sign up to MN! Took an inordinately long time to chooose a username... Excited to discover that OP's post are now in bright greeen etc

35 (anna half)
TTC #1
Just now cruising into cycle 8

I've been really busy the past few months, so that has helped me not worry too much, but starting to get a little Hmm now. Temping as of a few days ago. Let's see how long I can keep it up!

Nice to meet you all, and good luck!

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 08:08

Yes! That was my problem with the cheapies as well, that I had to somehow use them at work! It was always a mission! Grin

OP posts:
Bathlover · 21/04/2016 08:03

Yes, flashing is high - I prefer them as you use first thing, I kept forgetting in the afternoon with cheapy ones!

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 07:47

Ahh I have never used those ones, I went from the cheap opk sticks that show 2 lines to this monitor. I could not make the other ones work.
Is flashy high and constant peak?

OP posts:
Bathlover · 21/04/2016 07:38

SA is sperm/semen analysis.

I am totally confused now re CB tests. Used a new stick in the old monitor and it's a flashing smiley.

Think I'll ring them later and ask Confused

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 07:14

Morning rant: there is this girl in the office next door whom I dont particularly like (she walks around as she is better than the rest and she is quite mean to other girls and annoying), and of course she is pregnant and "such a surprise, we werent trying" EnvyEnvyEnvy
So everyday she comes to use the photocopier kills me a bit. Sad
