Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Sorry to hear about af russ

jem I have a good feeling about this month for you.

Feeling a bit down today, good friends of our gave birth to their first baby last night and whilst I am over the moon for them, I just feel like everyone around me who I know well is having babies at the moment and I just have this feeling I'm never going to get there.

Russkispy · 15/05/2016 15:43

Bird, you made me laugh! Ok, won't trust the boobs ever again!
4444- it might, we will never know but congrats!
Must run to H&B now!

Ni4444 · 15/05/2016 15:36

Sounds like you're covered Russ! I took agnus castus last month...and got my BFP. Could be coincidence of course!

bluebird3 · 15/05/2016 15:23

Don't trust the boobs! I have had really sore, super sore, a little sore, not sore, sore a week pre-af, sore 2 days before af, starting sore then going away, sore around ovulation, not sore around ovulation...don't trust the boobs.

LovelyFishy · 15/05/2016 13:14

Had Pimms at a Eurovision party last night and I made the Pimms really weak as "it's so yummy and you can drink it so fast, we don't want to all be falling over before the finals"! Plus I filled up my glass a few times with water with the fruit still in the glass and no one noticed!

I have one sore boob today... Hmm

Russkispy · 15/05/2016 13:03

Thank you, lovely ladies! Gutted, but was kind of expecting as everyone is talking about the older age and how hard it could be. Well, I've read it all but everyone is different and so not listening anymore. There's a chance for all of us, sooner or later.
I'm taking folic acid, pregnacare vitamins, selenium with Zinc, B12 and B6, Bee Propolis and Co-Enzyme Q-10 and Omega 3. And going to get Agnus cactus to cover all my angles.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/05/2016 12:20

Drinks avoidance techniques I've put into use recently
• changing drink at lightening speed so rose wine for blackcurrant/lemonade in same glass.
• "I'm on the GI diet, I'm getting fat and I'm not having that for summer!" This has worked because I've been unbelievably bloated.
• Accept a drink, pretend to be drinking it, take it with you, wave it around slightly, go to the loo, dump down sink.
• Feign mouth ulcers. Alcohol stings like a bitch with mouth ulcers. It's unlikely anyone will ask to see, if they do, they're right at the back of your mouth where you bit the side of your cheek.

If you're nonchalant and don't mention anything, nobody will pay any attention. My dsis thinks I've been drinking a lot of gin, have fooled dh a couple of times too.

So sorry about your gran Jem poor thing, and poor you, hope she's on the road to recovery ASAP.
Sorry af got you russ

alice my hopes are getting up too Envy how are you feeling? Yesterday I was quite nauseous and was a bit sick in my mouth, my pulse feels fast and my boobs are sore and bigger - but you know, boobs Hmm

Thanks for all your tips ni! Hope it get to use them!

I haven't heard anymore about Gran, will call in a bit in case she's catching up on some sleep. My uncle said she was okay but had been on the floor for 3 hours Sad she had only just got out of hospital Friday. I hope she's able to stay at home as its what she wants so much.

Ni4444 · 15/05/2016 10:17

Plus love the "We were on the tear last night and I can't stomach the though of more booze!"

Ni4444 · 15/05/2016 10:16

Sorry about AF Russki. Are you taking any extra supplements to help things out? Our Kwick put me onto coq10-improves egg quality which can decline with time.

Jem that's so sad about your gran. I'm so glad she had a phone handy. Gosh they're such a worry at that age!

Fx your stinky fart cover is cruel, but so effective!! Everyone knows big men are stinky! Not us women!!! Halo

Alcohol avoidance strats:
"I had a really strong coffee this morning and just feel so dehydrated- I'm gasping for water!" (I had this used on me and I fell for it hook, line, and sinker)
Carry your glass, then drop it off somewhere when people aren't looking
Get other half to sip from your glass occasionally
Fill your glass up with water when no-one looking?

bluebird3 · 15/05/2016 09:48

Sorry russki. Fx next month is your month. Flowers

HepKestrel · 15/05/2016 09:30

Sorry russki
Flowers

FXSkip · 15/05/2016 08:24

Sorry to hear AF got you russki it's the cruel way of TTC - nothing's a given. I'm still waiting for AF as I just don't feel like I'm pregnant.

Antibiotics is the classic, cutting out toxins, pretending you're already massively hungover and can't face a hair of the dog (I've pulled that one before and it worked) and failing all of that if everyone else is drunk they tend not to notice you've been holding the same drink all night long!!

vixarooni · 15/05/2016 08:22

Sorry AF got you Russ

Your poor grandma jem hope she's OK. Thank God she was able to get a message to someone.

AliceScarlett · 15/05/2016 08:15

Stress can really effect ovulation, I hope your cycles settle Russ

Jem you could say you're on antibiotics... But that's not a long term excuse.

On Thursday I'll be 14dpo but DH and I rush around that morning to get to ready for work, I'm going to have to wait til either AF, or Saturday. I'm getting my hopes up :(

Russkispy · 15/05/2016 08:00

Well, well, AF finally got me this morning! I'll trust my boobs next time as they never let me down pre-AF arrival. I'll never know why my OV day shifted last month and why I ended up with 34 CDs this time! Due to change of countries, from Iraq, permanently returning to the UK, due to unexpected redundancy which was done in a horrific way which prompted me to engage a solicitor to deal with it, it caused me a great deal of stress and upset, I won't lie.
Disappointed about this cycle but must be realistic about this journey and be aware of my age. Became 40 last month. Oh well, marching on, head high...

FXSkip · 15/05/2016 07:03

jem what a horrible thing to have to go through in the middle of the night. I'm glad she is ok and I hope you get back to sleep!
One of my friends said she had arrythmia and that the docs had asked her to stay off booze to see if it helped - you could try that?

SuchaJem · 15/05/2016 04:01

That meant to say - DH's grandparents are getting Married on the bank holiday. Phone didn't believe me!

SuchaJem · 15/05/2016 04:00

Excellent fart responsibility avoidance skip. Hahaha!

Also like your booze avoidance tactics. I was thinking if I am duffed up this cycle I've got a tricky drinking scenario fast approaching... My DH's grandparents are getting back on the May bank holiday! All in law family comes together! Post wedding champagne will be supped! I don't think "no sugar for me" would cut it.

Anyway highly unlikely I am so I'll leave that bridge until by some miracle I need to cross it.

Just woken in middle of the night to see a text message from my 91 year grandma saying "please can you help me off the floor" Sad I called my uncle and luckily they were already with her. She'd been on the floor a few hours but was okay. Really shaken up and can't get back to sleep now! I feel awful for her Sad

FXSkip · 14/05/2016 23:56

Hmmm no I still can't see the threat - just the most recent post? Anyway, my cervix is high and hard like a little squash ball at the moment. Not sure what to make of that. I am so confused went out tonight and didn't booze just in case, no one batted an eyelid when I said I was in a no sugar diet, I clearly need to lose weight!! The stinky farts were a worry though, fortunately I managed the situation by standing near some large guys and just gave them the odd dirty look or eye roll. My sincere (but unspoken) apologies to them!

I'm done with getting het up about it all, I guess whether I know or not it makes no difference. I should still be exercising, eating right and not drinking whether I'm upduffed or not so I'm just putting it out of my mind now.

Sorry bout your crappy view bluebird just need to make the most of it now you're there :)

Feefeefs · 14/05/2016 20:20

Thanks for your support everyone.

Never trust the boobs!!

SuchaJem · 14/05/2016 18:37

bluebird3 · 14/05/2016 17:58

Ladies...help! Tell me to stop right now. Mind is in over drive!!! It's cd 18 and I've had the tiniest bleeding, mostly just pinky brown tinted cm and some af like light cramps. It's all stopped a few hours on. Can it be ib? Wouldn't be unusual if it was cd 24 onwards. Cycles are normally 28-30 days with some spotting in the days leading up. So long to wait.....
