TTC #1 Thread 14. Shroedingering Like Champions! (It's an art form and a skill!)

Morning ladies, just caught up on all of your news. Congrats Maya and Vix, that's fantastic news.

So AF got me bang on time today so at least I didn't even have to wonder for a few hours, so pop me down for a 14th June ticket please . Have decided I am better at tracking than Ovia and FF combined. Between my google calendar and my spreadsheet, I had AF down for today but FF and Ovia had me down for tomorrow so despite AF arriving I'm feeling really happy that I'm now smack on top of my cycle!

Am giving up the BBT malarky, I can't manage it and my temps are all over the shop anyway. Looks like, judging by some handy OV bleeding this month that I ovulate about 1.5/2 days after my pos OPK and that it's on or around day 17/18 - giving me a short but not unmanageable 11 days luteal phase.

In an odd way I'm actually relieved, I had planned a trip away with my Mum to Lanzarote for 2nd week of June. So if all goes to plan this should be the last trip where only one of us will be a Mum, so I can enjoy some sangria and Mummy/Daughter time guilt free.

Ovia's updated my AF date from the 18th to the 17th so I'm due tomorrow too Hep. I'm determined not to test until I'm properly late or AF rocks up. I had what felt like my AF-is-imminent cramps this morning, but if those are Vix's bfp symptoms I'm not out yet! I'll enjoy it while it lasts...

lol Jem hopefully T&J have made up and are busy plotting the newest character in the cartoon of my fertility (too far?!) I am going to be going down the coast from SF to San Diego, stopping off along the way then going to Bora Bora for a bit to chill out! I am not stopping in San Fran as meeting friends in San Diego so a bit time-short (this friend is 20 weeks pg though so going to be wierd!!) I can't wait to go away though, first holiday in a looooong time!!

Who else is in the waiting room? (picks up copy of Elle and flicks through it nonchalantly as though this isn't the most stressful, anxiety inducing time of entire life)

Hep I didn't have any IB, or any bleeding at all. I felt more like I could be pregnant the month before BFP. If AF hadn't been a day late I probably wouldn't have tested. Since coming off the pill I've had lovely regimented 26 day cycles - first time in my life I've been regular!

And a quick note on PCOS - I was diagnosed maybe 10-12 years ago with one ovary completely covered in cysts. I was told having children would be pretty improbable. I had an ultrasound Saturday before last after a fainting spell, and not only was the embryo fine (and heart beating at 5+3 ), but my ovaries are completely clear! Apparently it's not always a static condition. I had no idea!

Egg and sperm = tom and Jerry now skip hahaha, come on Tom!

Erm I'm going to California in a couple of weeks! Ooh lala. We're staying with my uncle and aunt in San Fransisco for a week. What are you up to?

Sorry, raving like a lunatic cause I'm CD 38 today, if AF doesn't show up by tomorrow it will be the longest cycle I've ever had (I had a 39er when I came off BCP and then it settled to 28) and then I think I will test on Friday morning right before I fly to California!!

Symptom wise I've had sore boobs and cramps. That's pretty much it! Just feeling like I'm going to come on any second. I still do.

jem glad your gran got help. Hope she's better today.

As for symptoms, the month before I got my bfp I had every symptom going, then bfn. Next month I got positive I never felt any different to af arriving. Symptoms never started until a week or so after test. But everyone's different. Two things I think effect us, we can test so early nowadays, probably earlier than symptoms would appear, and because we are trying so hard we are uber focusing on EVERYTHING! it's the ultimate mind game ttc!

jem think we all have had one of those weeks. It's so bloody difficult. And even when we get the bfp's it just opens the doors to a whole new world of crazy!

Had a baby bomb yesterday ..... well not so much of a bomb, since it was quite predictable. but still....

Finally got sore boobs at weekend.... they are calming down now.... strongly suspect AF is coming up the garden path ready to knock.....

i know, i know ..... don't trust the boobs !

Hello snow sounds like you are settling in well

10 DPO today. Soooooo tired. Just don't seem to be able to sleep properly anymore. Keep waking up and worrying about things. Started to get horrible tired brain doing funny things like putting plates away in the fridge

I'm trying to lose weight too pug. Has anyone done the 5:2 diet? Thinking about giving it a go as all day every day calorie counting doesn't work for me. I just don't stick to it.

Morning everyone! I have a bfp!!! CD 37 just too scared to test, so no starky star deserved! Praying it sticks!!

I'm cycle 6 jem I know it's not that long ttc, but coupled with pcos and despite not using any contraception for 5 years, I do wonder if it will ever happen. No point in me going to see gp yet though as I know they will say 'lose weight'.

I think Fertility friend is completed confused by my cycles, so I'm not sure how many dpo I am. I had quite intense ovulation pain Tuesday morning, so I'm guessing I'm probably 5dpo.

TMI alert: yesterday, at 3dpo, I had an impressive amount of stringy CM plus some brown spotting. I totally fail at not trying to think about it too much - I think it's way too early to be IB, but then others have reported very early IB. Or it's a belated effect of the HSG three days earlier. Blooming two week wait ....

Popping in to say hello ☕️🍰💐 hope everyone is doing ok. Gorgeous weekend here! Am 7dpo today, halfway there. I do have cramps and a weird drooly feeling in my mouth like you get when you're about to throw up. I know it's way too early for anything though so I'm putting it down to too much brunch! The portion sizes here are insane. I mean my plate alone could have fed me and dh and still have leftovers. It was delicious though. We are joining friends this afternoon to play mini golf (crazy golf?) and no doubt will have a couple of drinks after. I'm trying to just chill. A couple of drinks won't do anything at this stage other than be an enjoyable afternoon 😊🍻☀️

I've had some girlfriends over today plus one of their 7 month old daughters. So cute having a baby rolling about on our lawn. Mega broodiness afresh!

Thanks mummy87, down in the dumps today. Meant to be flying to work today but as made redundant, git no job to go to. And AF got me today. Feeling rubbish. No work, not pregnant. And somehow must carry on and keep calm and no stress. But how! Never been in this predicament before. Just crying buckets here. Sorry ladies, didn't mean to bring a downer on here 😢😢

I drank a lot the month I got pregnant (not binge drinking lol but just socially and quite often) and when I said to the midwife about it, she laughed and said it really doesn't have much effect on a baby until it's several weeks old.

As for excuses, I've become the master at giving lifts. I always have an excuse why I'm driving rather than drinking. My DH is having to drink more so I can pretend I'm letting him drink instead of me. Or I've said we're trying to save money so I'm drinking Coke or water and avoiding the taxi costs!
