Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Morning all, happy Friday!

Sorry about AF Jem and Alice. I can see how disappointed you are so sending you lots of positive thoughts and luck for cycle 5. I know it's hard but it really isn't that long to be TTC. I appreciate that is scant consolation right now though so use as much wine, chocolate and cuddling of OH as you need.

Ninja I hope you get something happening soon to get you out of limbo. You never know... CD 39... Could be our next BFP!

Ni Hope you get to enjoy some rampant action over the next few days to flood that egg with swimmers!

Kwik Thinking of you Flowers

Smack bang in the middle of the TWW here so trying to put it all to the back of my mind for now. Having some nights out with friends (no abstaining from alcohol until I get a BFP!) and getting some exercise to distract me.

Wishing you all a lovely day x

And Stark please hang around. I know you'll post less often as you move to the Grads thread and obviously need to discuss pregnancy more, but your posts are fab and we'd all miss you.

KatOnATinRo0f · 22/04/2016 06:55

Okay we haven't had any BFPs for a little while have we... I think it's about time ladies! Who's next- where's that list jem?
(I actually am going by "whatever is on that list" rather than on what ovia tells me for when I'm expecting my period. Which seems to be in about a week.)
Hope everyone has a good Friday X

twinkydink · 22/04/2016 06:31

I think we have mentioned on here before how we assume people in real life get pregnant at the drop of a hat. I did until this month when I found out two people who I had thought got pregnant really easily took about 6 months!
It really put my mind at ease to know that people in RL were going through the same things that we are going through on here!

Kathrino · 22/04/2016 04:47

Sorry for those that AF has got. I've been in and out over the last few months but it definitely feels like we're due some good news soon. In the absolute nicest possible way, I am so glad that there are some other people who are have been trying for 4 cycles plus. So many people I know seem to get pregnant if their DH so much as sneezes on them when they're ovulating - without you all, I think I'd be even more of a basket case. That's not to say, of course, that I'm not keeping everything crossed for some BFPs for you this month!

Sending you lots of love too kwick. Hope you're doing okay.

Ni4444 · 21/04/2016 23:02

We do need some more good news! CD16 here (O usually CD18-20) and have ov pain yesterday and today and got peak opk today woohoo! OH had some nerve issues Sunday and Tuesday which he never has had before so we haven't got swimmers in place. Bloody pain! Hoping we can dtd tonight to stand some chance!

theneonninja · 21/04/2016 22:51

Agreed starky you can't go. I've been watching these threads for months (only just started posting as mumsnet wouldn't let me validate my account via email for ages!) and your posts always seem to make me chuckle.

I hope you're doing ok kwick, remember we're all here if you need to talk.

Sorry about AF jem and alice once AF finally turns up for me I'll be joining you in the cycle 5 club too.

End of CD39 here so officially late and still nothing AF-wise. Only symptom I have to report is a nasty hot, sharp achy pain near my belly button which comes and goes. Might test again at the weekend but not holding out much hope and don't want to waste another pricey test.

Pugmummy87 · 21/04/2016 22:00

Sorry that AF got you Jem and Alice. Lots of wine, soft cheese and pate!
Hoping that cycle 6 is your lucky cycle!

Cycle 6 is looming for me too, whenever this long cycle will end! Currently cd35.

mayago I've also put on about 2 stone whilst ttc. Some of that I think is due to comfort eating after my Dad's death in December. I have tried several times to get back to Slimming world, but my head just hasnt been in the right place. As of tomorrow I am starting the Hairy Bikers diet! It's some thing different and I know the food will be nice as I've got all 3 of their dieter books and the recipes are gorgeous.
I've got to get my weight down, one, because my pcos symptoms worsen and two, I don't feel attractive at the moment and this is effecting my euthasism for dtd. Also all my clothes are feeling rather tight or don't fit at all and I refuse to buy bigger size clothes! I chucked all my 'big' clothes out after I first lost weight.

Starky Please don't go, you aren't annoying any of us!

mayago · 21/04/2016 21:31

I'm testing in 4 days, but I really don't think it's my month. I feel the least pregnant than I have in the past few TWWs.

In other news, I seem to have put on a stone while TTC. Goodness knows how I'd fare if I were actually pregnant!

Sorry AF found you, Jem and Alice. On a positive note, you're just in time for the weekend Wine
...although there was a time not that long ago AF arriving at the weekend would have ruined my week Grin

twinkydink · 21/04/2016 21:04

I really struggle to get online during the week so I do feel like a bit of a rubbish contributor a lot of the time. But there are people that I am genuinely rooting for and check in to check up on even if I dont post!

This does feel as if this has been a shot month for us. When was our last BFP?

I'm not holding out much hope for this month. Ovia is saying I'm now due a 22 day cycle and FF is saying 24 based on my early OPK peak. So God knows what is going on with my body!

Theorchard · 21/04/2016 20:31

Thanks Starky I can see that would be wearing!
Well opk was only a faint line, but have ov pains and ewcm, so I think dtd anyway and see what happens. Will keep doing opks over the next few days as well to see if anything shows up.
kwick hope you are bearing up and you got the information you needed at the clinic today.
Bon chance cycle 5ers!

Snowdog37 · 21/04/2016 20:08

I love hearing from all of you and feel bad I only pop in and out a couple of times a week. It's tough with the time difference and business of immigrating! All is good here though. It's about 25 degrees and sunny, gorgeousness ☀️☺️ I'm 8dpo and nothing going on. No cramps. No boobache. Nada. Feel like I probably didn't even release a decrepit egg this month! I'm sure af is going to rock up as per. I'm sorry she's already got a few of you. 😖💐😖

SuchaJem · 21/04/2016 20:01

Massive hug alice the exact same things have been buzzing around my head today. Cycle four was my big positive It's going to Happen cycle - and it fucking hasn't. Just struggling to summon it all back up for another sodding month.

I've hit the wine anyway, and pencilled my dates back in the diary for another go.

Massive fingers crossed 5 is the lucky number for both of us xxx

StarkyTheDirewolf · 21/04/2016 19:45

Theorchard we had a spate at about the ad 9/10 of people coming in, demanding a lot of attention/info and then getting a bfp within a week or so and it got quite wearing. Besides, we know you now! It was posters barging in, no introduction and not bothering to engage, so when they got a bfp, it didn't mean much, whereas I genuinely celebrate with a woohoo and a fist pump when one of yous gets upduffed!

Jem we match! I'm feeling similar, I was really hopeful this cycle and now I'm sad and disappointed. For me it's partly the fearbif cycle 6+ I know TTC for 6 months isn't terrible in the slightest, it's just scary. "What if it never happens"? is on my mind a lot today. I know it's pointless worrying however.
Cycle 5 is going to be our cycle mate. PMA.

Theorchard · 21/04/2016 18:48

Lh surge, stupid iPad! not oh surge! Grin but an oh surge would be a bonus Grin

Theorchard · 21/04/2016 18:46

Well I am cycle 1 newbie, but I am also 35 and no bfp yet. I just joined this thread as people seemed to know what they were talking about, and I always look for people better informed than me (not hard!) eg brilliant suggestions about sachets and ramekins. I also like the fact there are people who've had success still around it reminds me everyone has a different journey.
Sorry to hear AF turned up jem and alice FlowersWine
We dtd on Tuesday, I'm now in my fertile window and think I am ovulating / oh surge now, so will go and do an opk in a moment, then jump on dh for the next few days. Fx

Pugmummy87 · 21/04/2016 18:42

kwick hoping that the epu have given you the information you need to make the decision that is right for you.

Still no sign of AF. I think I must have ovulated last Friday then. Usual sore boobs I get at this point after ovulation.
I just know I am not pregnant so haven't bothered testing.

SuchaJem · 21/04/2016 18:39

Today is the start of cycle 5 for me too alice

I'm really, really sad about it today. I was so sure and now I'm so bloody sad Sad

LovelyFishy · 21/04/2016 16:19

Sorry AF got you too Alice. It's not been a good month for us so far. BrewChocolate

LovelyFishy · 21/04/2016 16:17

Sorry AF got you Sucha. SadFlowersWineCake

Starky you should stick around, it's nice having you here!

AliceScarlett · 21/04/2016 16:05

AF!

AliceScarlett · 21/04/2016 16:04

After turned up 2 days early. Hello cycle 5 Angry

InspectorPenguin · 21/04/2016 15:38

Using the sachet? That's genius!

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 14:38

Oh yes, when we learned about ramekins and using the opk sachet as a urine holder Grin

Cthulhoo · 21/04/2016 13:47

And thus beginneth the two week wait. We timed dtd pretty well this time round, I think, and I've been taking all my vitamins and so now ... I need to wait.

And no, Starky, stay! You're the heart and the soul of the thread, you can't leave!
