Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Inspector - I think that's why I enjoy opks so much! A bit of positive feedback from POAS is great.

Think will do another IC when I get home. Preparing for the snowy white glare...

LovelyFishy · 19/05/2016 16:05

We're going to Italy on holiday, Rome and Venice! Quite excited now, especially after the bad news at work and AF.

Alice what cycle are you? I was thinking about booking a doctors appointment but don't know if I'm too early? I know they like you to wait for a year...

Snow and Jem you've still got time, you're not out yet!

Good luck with the scan Starky, hopefully you're not like me who bursts into tears when it all gets too much! I did that for a simple test at hospital once, very embarrassing. Blush

SuchaJem · 19/05/2016 15:53

Fingers crossed for you stark! Hope you enjoy seeing your son or daughter for the first time!

Sorry to all those who AF got Sad so crushingly disappointing Envy

I don't feel there's much hope for me at 13 DPO and a BFN. Still feeling pathetically hopeful though and cross with myself for this! Envy

Pugmummy87 · 19/05/2016 15:36

For some reason I thought today was Friday when I wrote that post, sorry stark I will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Sorry that AF got you Alice and Hep WineCakeChocolate

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/05/2016 14:51

You're not out till you're out snow

And thanks pug Smile it's tomorrow, I'm trying to absorb your good wishes and positivity by osmosis (?!) Dh is really excited, he has been all week. I'm about 45% on my way to having a nervy breakdown! Not looking forward to it, preparing myself for/expecting bad news (with absolutely no basis for this whatsoever) so I'm doing my best to be calm be chill be a dribbling hysterical mess if I don't chill out. Deeeeeep breathing! We will know by this time tomorrow guys.

And you too Jem!

Fingers crossed for you both x

Snowdog37 · 19/05/2016 13:38

11dpo and tingly nips. And a bfn. So I'm joining you all on the "our bodies are crazy" bus. Af due at the weekend so I'm expecting her as per normal now.

AliceScarlett · 19/05/2016 13:21

I'm out, put me down for the 16th...my wedding anniversary.

Got an appointment with GP next week. Hopefully she will run some tests about the random bleeding.

Sorry you are out too Hep

Fx Jem

Peaches8Posies · 19/05/2016 12:55

Busy day for me in the house doing the boring stuff. Went a big walk this morning, grabbed some shopping. Noticed I had a load of veg in the fridge so iv whipped up a lovely big pot of veg and chicken broth just in time for the rain to desend Sad where is our sunshine?

pug bodies are strange. I'm sure they love to through us a curve ball or two just to make things even weirder.....

jem your not out till your out, fx.

bluebird hugs for you, your friends sound like they aren't true friends after all, better off without them.

sky sounds like it was more a case of her being unable to use her imagination and cook a nice vegetarian option. Bit of an idiot thinking anyone would be offended by a fish.....

lovely enjoy your hols and relax. It's the advice everyone seems to swear by Hmm easier said than done though...

jam fab pic! Glad all is ok.

Hopefully we'll get a little run of bfp's again soon. Smile hope your ok kwick

Pugmummy87 · 19/05/2016 11:43

Bluebird sorry to hear about your workmates. I would be hurt too.

Jam that is a cracking scan picture, so glad it went well.

I have my fx for starky today for her scan.

Lovely have a wonderful time on holiday, perfect timing. Fx the relaxing and not worrying about temping and opks etc will have the desired effect!

Jem sorry to hear about the bfn, but you aren't out until the witch shows up!

Hi inspector!

Hope Kwick is OK, haven't heard from her in a while.

As for me, the strange abdo pain I was getting has gone. I'm convinced it must have been trapped wind, you should have seen the size of my belly yesterday evening! I mean I've got a belly on me anyway, but I honestly looked about 7 months pregnant. Seems to have gone down today.

InspectorPenguin · 19/05/2016 11:30

Good luck Lovely! A holiday during FW is perfect, and definitely enjoy no temping as the last thing you want to be doing is waking up early every day to stick a thermometer up your foof.

I have to admit I do quite enjoy the OPKs though. Probably because my pessimistic brain tells me it's the only way I'll get to see two lines on anything!

Are you going somewhere lovely for your break?

LovelyFishy · 19/05/2016 11:05

Inspector ttc totally messed with your mind! My fw this cycle will be right in the middle of a holiday, and as I'm not planning to pack opk's or bbt I'll be flying blind! I know some people have enjoyed letting go of these things but I'm missing them already!!

LovelyFishy · 19/05/2016 11:02

Awesome picture Jam!! Is it all seeming very real now?

InspectorPenguin · 19/05/2016 10:57

Hi all, long time no speak! I've just been reading up on the news over the last few weeks and congrats to the new BFPs!

Lovely to see some more good news and especially your scan pic Jam! Although I do feel a bit like Rachel in Friends because I can't really work out what I'm looking at.. Grin

Sorry to those of you that are out this month Flowers. Seems like there are lots of people with AF arriving within the same couple of days - is being on a communal thread a bit like living with people where everyone's cycles regulate to the same pattern?! If so I hope it rubs off on me and mine shorten to less than the current (expected) 35 days as I get bored during the first 3 weeks of nothingness.

Sorry to read about your workmates Bluebird. I can imagine that must hurt - our work relationships play such a big part of our lives these days. I would be hurt too so allow yourself to feel sad for a bit but I hope it passes soon Cake

Skylucy that is ridiculous (but also quite funny) about the meal!

So, I got two positive OPKs yesterday (CD21) - one first thing and one in the evening. This morning's was a little lighter so I am assuming OV should either have happened or be imminent? I'm a bit concerned that I haven't felt any OV pains at all this month whereas last month I definitely felt some sharp stitch like pains at the same point.
Of course, now I am convinced that despite the LH surge I haven't actually ovulated and am indeed, as barren as I thought Hmm
The weird shit TTC does to your mind!

FXSkip · 19/05/2016 10:32

Morning all! Jam thats a cracker of a pic and what an active bean you have! Odd question indeed, even if they'd asked how long did you actively try for, what would that even mean? OPK'ing, Temping, cervix monitoring, ferning, SMEP... or just coming off the pill and hoping for the best.

Blue and Sky people are weird, and can be quite thoughtless at times.

Kav I feel your pain. To the point where I was like 'I can smell something, I'm defo pg.' and 'I just looked before I crossed the road (therefore have superhuman maternal instincts) I MUST be pg!'

Try to stay calm, look after yourself and try to forget about it. We're all fx for you though!

kavanaughkj · 19/05/2016 10:12

People are odd. I'm having a bizarre form of the Monty Python's fish-slapping dance pop up in my head, SkyLucy! Offend you with fish?! ooooh-kay then.

Don't count yourself out yet Jem, it could still be too early for a bfp to show! Keeping fingers crossed for you ... and sorry to everybody who AF got. Hugs to you Hep - hope is a cruel thing I know.

I'm trying not to get mine up, actually. After thinking I had zero chance with illness and not DTD on O day, I'm tentatively excited now and trying not to let myself be. I was mega thirsty a day or so ago and I'm never normally troubled by thirst all that much - and had quite a bit of creamy CM over the last couple of days. Not masses, but more than I'd usually expect. Add to that my temps - they soared up yesterday and have stayed up this morning, so if they're still up tomorrow I'll be tri-phasic ...

... or I could be coming down with an illness, I suppose!

It's just bizarre. I was convinced I'd have no chance at all this month with the clusterf*ck that was my ISW, so I relaxed and forgot about symptom spotting for a while - just enjoyed the sunshine and good food - and now here I am symptom spotting again and trying not to work myself up.

You watch, my temps will plummet tomorrow morning, guaranteed!!

SkyLucy · 19/05/2016 08:49

Love that scan pic jamjar! The question you were asked is truly bizarre though. What meaningful data can be gleaned from responses like 'quite easy'?! It's entirely subjective!

Sorry to hear about the work upset bluebird, that's crap. I got really upset a few weeks back when I found out someone on our SMT had invited all members to a dinner party...except me! Apparently it's because I'm a vegetarian and she didn't want to 'offend me with fish'. In hindsight, that's actually hilarious, but at the time (smack in middle of tense TWW) it broke my heart!

SuchaJem · 19/05/2016 08:22

Awesome pic jam glad all going well.

13 DPO and got a snowy white bfn on an IC this morning so I guess I'm waiting for AF.

Onto cycle 6.

HepKestrel · 19/05/2016 08:11

I'm out, and feeling annoyed with myself for clinging onto hope.
put me down for the 19th June.

Feefeefs · 19/05/2016 08:02

I think that might be true moose 4 months doesn't seem that last by now but it felt like an age at the time

Mooseville · 19/05/2016 07:50

Oh brilliant jam what a cracker!!!!

Maybe TTC is like childbirth, you forget how painful it was once you've got that BFP?? (One can hope anyway!)

Feefeefs · 19/05/2016 07:25

Sorry about your friends bluebird that's lousy.

Jamjar12 · 19/05/2016 07:04

So much AF in the house, sorry guys :( Enjoy your wine, try not to beat yourselves up and then try again. Positive thoughts!

Had my scan on Tuesday, all was good :) Baby was very very fidgety (it's insane how much it was moving and I couldn't feel a thing) so we got to see it for a good half hour while they struggled to take all the measurements. I was bumped up a few days so now 13+4 and my belly has literally just been inflated to a bump!

Weird question the dr asked for a preeclampsia study I've agreed to be part of- 'How easy was it to get pregnant?' Options were Very Easy, Quite Easy, Normal, Quite Difficult or Very Difficult! What a bizarre question! I was like well, 5 months is pretty easy I guess but surely that depends on your POV?! If you'd have asked me in February, I'd have said it was looking like it was impossible!

bluebird3 · 18/05/2016 23:06

Thanks sucha. I don't have a lot of friends that live nearby so it will be a big loss but now I'm not sure I really want those kind of friends.

SuchaJem · 18/05/2016 22:12

So sorry to hear that bluebird, that sounds really hurtful. I hope you will be better off without them xx
