Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Hello blueladybird welcome on board :)

If anyone would like a ticket for the May bus please let me know the date your period is due. I'll post it up.

blueladybird · 25/04/2016 13:18

Can I join? I am new and nervous
32
TTC Cycle 3
CD 28 (usual length 30 or 37 Confused)
Peaked on day 23 (Using OPKs.)

Trying to take a systematic approach to DTD but find it all extremely confusing knowing when. Last month was very good and held off POAS thinking OH would want to be in. Turned out he didn't and it was BFN but in the mean time I had convinced myself I was pregnant so contemplating testing earlier this time.

Theorchard · 25/04/2016 13:04

skylucy I can definitely relate to not being broody at all, and now that we are trying I want to be pregnant instantly! Sadly it doesn't work that way.
kat definitely zen is the way forward. I shall set an intention for my yoga practice (iyengar) today around acceptance. Oommmmm
In other news lots of creamy cm, sore nips and nausea, but think I am massively overthinking things/symptom spotting like a loon and this probably happens every month (I def get extreme tiredness and bloating pms) I just never noticed before.

KatOnATinRo0f · 25/04/2016 09:48

The zen approach is the way forward :) I have been feeling so much more relaxed about everything since ? February. When I realised it was out of my control and it's not going to happen quickly, so there's not much point in being stressed about it. Give me another few months and I will be stressing again I think. !!

celizabe · 25/04/2016 09:38

Morning Ladies, hope you all had a nice weekend.

Congratulations on your BFP Maya that's great news, you've really perked me up on this freezing cold Monday morning Smile

Not a lot happening with me this week, reckon I'm due to OV somewhere around the 3rd or 4th May so just going to take it steady this time around and hope for the best. I'm with you Jem going to try the zen approach.

Kwick thinking of you Flowers

Crazycat thank you for the video! I used to do the 30 days shred but the level 2 hurt my back!
I have some other jillian michaels dcd and I wanted to start the Yoga inferno, but the title scares me GrinGrin
This zumba looks more gentle
Thanks island. On mine the lady just said everything seems consistent with the time on the cycle. And that she saw nothing wrong, but no idea if there was anything right Grin
Hello ipatches! [waves] welcome back! We are still here Smile
I am going to focus on my body too. I have been focussing a lot on my mind as I suffer from anxiety but I sometimes forget how linked they are and how exercise makes me feel so much better Smile
I have been eating good foods for a week and exercise will become a routine now.
I dont temp anymore and only using my fertility monitor which is helping as well as not obsessing over symptoms.
Ni I am going to Spain for my birthday Grin. Only one week to go!!!!

Pugmummy87 · 24/04/2016 22:59

twinky I am currently doing the Hairy Bikers Fast track diet and exercise program. It's 6 weeks, 1200 calories per day. Started Friday. I've just got myself an exercise bike. DH and I finally brought our bikes back from where they have been in storage at he's grandad's house. Just needs a service. The London Marathon had really inspired me this year (thanks to my FIL who ran it today!) and if it wasn't for the ttc, I would want to put myself forward for the 2017 one, running for a charity close to my heart.

island I love corfu! Whereabouts are you staying? I've only been the once, but would love to go back so much. It was my Dad's favourite place too.

ipatches good to see you, sorry you have been feeling low, this ttc lark does mess with your mood something rotten I find.

I feel that af is on her way Sad

KatOnATinRo0f · 24/04/2016 22:41

I patches Thanks I know how you feel.
I have a feeling AF is on her way... Not due till the 30th though. Oh well.

Re fitness: I've been trying to get in shape before becoming pregnant... If I can't do it now then there is no chance my body will be as good as it is now after the baby. (And it's not good enough now)... So have been upping the gym and putting in more effort when I'm there, and trying to eat better. I'm currently going to the gym for weight training about 6 days a week, with some cardio about once or twice but summer is coming and my muffin top is not going away so I think I'm going to start doing cardio 4 X a week too (I think about 25-30 mins of HIIT sprints on the treadmill if I can manage it)... That's the plan! Like to do some yoga but haven't had time recently. What does everyone else do? X

Feefeefs · 24/04/2016 22:38

Thanks bluebird. Anxiety high but trying to power through.

Sorry you're feeling low ipatches I think we will all get there and as DH keeps saying (sometimes I find helpful sometimes not) dealing with all this uncertainty and stress and becoming stronger will prepare us all better for the day we become parents

Ni4444 · 24/04/2016 22:36

Meh...my post got lost!

Think I was saying how this ISW my body had a new (or previously unnoticed?) treat in store for me...serious sluggishness and bloating around O day. How unattractive did I feel?! Thankfully my OH doesn't seem to be bothered, but I am! I'm a winter hibernator when it comes to exercise, but I'm ready to feel good about myself again!! Some commitment and work is now called for! I think I'll start with some yoga tomorrow.
ipatches we'll be going to France and Spain for my bday 😀

AliceScarlett · 24/04/2016 22:28

I love MFP, is a pain, but worth it.

SkyLucy · 24/04/2016 22:10

Hi iPatches, just wanted to say I empathise with everything you've said. Until very recently I was absolutely surrounded by friends with second/third babies - I used to be bothered by the fact I wasn't broody...now I'm bothered by the fact that I didn't become preggers instantly! I've been off Facebook for a while and have retreated from a particularly fertile set of friends... I realise my approach might not be for everyone but I actually feel so much happier and relaxed. I'm a nightmare for comparing myself with friends, so a bit of distance is keeping me sane!

FXSkip · 24/04/2016 21:16

Hey guys just checking in - been a loooong weekend. Supposed to be ISW but so far only dtd once and not looking likely tonight so guess I'm out this month too. Totally up for weight loss - I'm using myfitnesspal too and love it but you do have to be really brutally honest or it doesn't work!! Today I've moved furniture and done about 3 hours ashtanga so I'm pooped Confused

iPatches · 24/04/2016 20:53

Ni - thanks for the support, it's nice not to feel alone but I'm sorry to hear that you're in the same boat. It's hard because you never really know what goes on in people's lives - we haven't shared our TTC, they may have been through a long wait themselves - so I feel jealous of them, then guilty for even feeling that way...

I like the idea of focusing on getting strong and toned. I have been comfort eating and know I'm not in the best shape right now, which isn't helping my mood and probably doing nothing for our TTC efforts. Where are you going on holiday?

Ni4444 · 24/04/2016 20:48

Good to see you Ipatches! It's been ages!! Sorry you've been having such a tough time and struggling with this...You're not alone with that my love! I feel like I've finally resigned myself that's it's gonna take forever (but of course I'll flip out again in a few weeks!). Have a close friends baby shower next month....and most of the guests are bringing their babies. Hmm...great...that'll be easy....not.

Focusing on getting my body strong and toned for my holiday and the summer will hopefully help me feel positive about it...even though it doesn't do I want it to do!!

bluebird3 · 24/04/2016 20:32

I agree with you theorchard when you've been trying awhile it seems like an impossibly complex task. Fx you get lucky earlier than you expect.

feefs I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine. Try to stay calm and keep busy till your next scan (easier said than done I'm sure!)

vix I have taken a Facebook break and it's been sooooo good for me. All the rl pregnancy news can be really hard. I love it when there is a Bfp on here though...can't wait for us to all join the grads threads.

iPatches · 24/04/2016 20:09

Hi.

Thought I should probably say hello and let you all know that I haven't dropped off the face of the planet. Hello to newbies - I see there are lots!

I haven't been around much because it's been too much. Haven't had any luck in the last few cycles and then a couple of close friends got pregnant and...of course I'm happy for them, but I just can't deal with thinking about how they're having their babies (not their first) but I can't even get pregnant. I'll never tell them we are TTC so I'm all happy-clappy on the outside Grin but all jealous and self-pitying on the inside Sad.

So I'm back because I needed a break, but I feel better now. Here's what's going on for me:
Cycle 5
CD 19
Have been using OPK but didn't get a positive. Dark lines on days 12-13, but never saw an actual positive. No symptoms.

pup89 · 24/04/2016 20:03

Hi all, just popping in to say hi and tray and curb my insane symptom spotting and telling DH about every detail of possible pregnancy and what would be happening in my uterus if I was pregnant!!

Only CD 20 and 6/7 dpo so can't take a hpt but still poas (opk) to curb some of the needs!

Cramps this evening and gone off wine never happened before

islandgirl99 · 24/04/2016 19:08

alice I am on an island (Corfu) so fingers crossed it really is fate! Grin

fishy book the holiday! This was a very last minute thing for us, really just booked it in a whim but dh found us a great deal so seemed silly not to take it!

ever mine was a transvaginal scan too. Tbh, not sure what was really meant to be being checked and stupidly at the time didn't ask I think it was just luck that it happened to be around that time in my cycle when stuff was visible, cos it wasn't booked to be at any particular time. It was pretty reassuring to see it all happening though. So much so I suggested to dh that we should perhaps invest in an ultrasound machine for the spare room, he thinks it would be going too far though! lol

CrazyCatLady2 · 24/04/2016 19:04

This is the zumba for dummies video that I have been using. It is 45 mins long but I have only managed 15 mins so far! Found her first workout a bit tricky but I love the second one which starts at about 9 mins in

InspectorPenguin · 24/04/2016 18:55

Very envious of your month long holiday Kathrino! Hope you're having a lovely time.

On the exercise front I am signed up for a few races (no marathons!) through the summer and autumn as I figured if I don't get pregnant this year at least I'll have those to focus on and keep me in shape.
And if I do get a BFP then I will have a perfectly valid excuse to be very slow :)

Kathrino · 24/04/2016 18:37

I love the idea of Zumba for dummies! I not a big fan of group exercise classes and much prefer the privacy in my own home so it sounds perfect.

twinkydink · 24/04/2016 18:36

The more the merrier ladies. We want to be in the best shape we can be for when these beans finally decide to make themselves at home in us!

I have found yoga really relaxing and the lady makes us do this weird thing where we imagine sending all the positive thoughts we have to the part of our body we want to heal. I feel my brain shouting womb so loudly at that point I'm surprised others can't hear me!!
