Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Hi Ema, welcome to the thread. Incidentally, we seem to have quite a gathering of 32 year olds!

A FRRR gives you a result in a minute (vs 3 mins) but to do that, it needs to have a much higher concentration of HCG which is pointless if you like to POAS early! I've never seen them in the UK (currently in the US). It's fairly academic though as went out and bought a correct FRER and got a whiter than white BFN. Day 5 of cramps now so presume AF will show up later today. I've just eaten two slices of cold pizza for breakfast though so it could be worse.

Congratulations Ktt and Rosie!! Lovely to see some BFP news!

5star good to see you again

Flash I'm so so sorry that things haven't worked out. Wishing you lots of luck for next time! 🍀

Just had friends to stay with their 4month old! Mighty cute! But man they come with so much stuff! I feel impatient, but not upset having had a baby in the house. OH was great with her, which is lovely to see. We viewed the dream home on Saturday too so please cross all your fingers and toes that we don't get outbid this week!! It would be a lovely space to be on maternity leave!... If this ever happens!

Kwick how are you?? I'm feeling quite pleased that even if I'm not upduffed this cycle I have my coq10 etc building up in my system so hopefully healthier baby in the long run. So glad you recommended all that stuff! Feel like I'm doing something at least!

Now ladies, I am gonna get my ass in gear and do some yoga!

Oh ps FF changed my O date to last Mon instead of last Friday due to temps....that would give us virtually no chance as we dtd Friday only! Not much chance this month...must remember that! So I'm either 7/10dpo CD27/28-32. Sore boobs second month running...nothing else.

Kwick709 · 02/05/2016 11:06

LOL ^ suchajem

SuchaJem · 02/05/2016 10:29

Two confusing Hmm

I mean too confusing! I am confusing myself Wink

SuchaJem · 02/05/2016 10:28

Congrats rosie lovely news and lovely to see another bfp!

Nothing wrong with having a FRER or two in the cupboard twinky

What's a first response rapid result? Pregnancy tests are two confusing!

kwick I am sad to park my mefenanic! With any luck I won't be struggling with period pain at the end of this cycle...

Although it's day 11 today and we have not DTD once yet. It's been a crazy busy weekend. Mid afternoon shag might be in order...

Cthulhoo · 02/05/2016 09:26

Congratulations, Rosie!

Kwick709 · 02/05/2016 09:09

Jeez suchajem I was hoping Menemic Acid would be the answer! Envy

snowdog sounds like you are all set. I think you will stand a much better chance than me as you have magic potion "on tap" as it were - so if you have CAOS ( new acronymn - copious amounts of sex) then for sure you will soon be preggers - what with the clomid and all. The ovulation trigger is Ovitrelle - a preloaded pen injection, very easy to apply.

cthulhoo all the changes you are making are good in the run up to conceive - the egg quality is really important. Don't torture yourself though!

Hiya ni how you doing honey?

Sorry for AF bluebird Flowers

Hello miley I am doing okay, thanks. Glad your morning sickness is easing up.

flashinthepan I am so so sorry Flowers what a hard road this is to walk. Please know that I am here for you.

5stardusty did you continue to check your HCG to see when it had all gone? I read about that on another thread... I guess then you know when you can start trying again, or in my case begin to expect AF.

CONGRATULATIONS kkt512!!!!! Star and rosie Star!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow kathrino really impressed you are holding out! I have never heard of a FRRR before Hmm

Kathrino · 01/05/2016 22:23

Woohoo, congrats Rosie. That's a lovely strong line!

Also agree re the messed up cycles. I've never been on hormonal contraception so absolutely the only reason for my cycles to get messed up is because of stress / what my brain is doing. Madness.

I went out and bought what I thought was a FRER this morning but it turns out to be a First Response Rapid Result which is not at all sensitive and can't be used until after AF is due. Clearly a sign that I shouldn't test early.

twinkydink · 01/05/2016 22:18

Congrats rosie this is feeling like a good week for BFPs!!!

Totally agree with all of you that TTC messes with your cycles - but also a part of me just thinks I'm loads more aware of what's going on. Before I started TTC I really didn't care what my body was doing. I was on the pill so I knew my cycle lengths and I'd never had bad PMS symptoms so I think I just let my body do what it had to do. Now I'm TTC I nitpick everything and I wish I could think back to those 9 years ago before I went on the pill and think what my body was like then but chances are it would be different anyway because I've aged!

Thanks for the fingers crossed messageS ladies, I think it's highly unlikely this month but a bit of PMA couldn't hurt right?!

Going to try and by a FRER tomorrow to use on Tuesday - then I'll be technically late according to FF and ovia!

SkyLucy · 01/05/2016 22:12

Ooh, and lovely to see another BFP on here Sincerely! Smile

SkyLucy · 01/05/2016 21:38

Oh Kav, I've got exactly the same issue. Spotting yesterday, so was fully prepared for the full onslaught. Then...nothing at all for 24 hrs. Cue hopeful 'implantation bleeding' nonsense. This evening, had a spot on wiping. Back to AF belief.

Had a similar experience last month, all a bit weird, because for the previous 20 years I've had super regular, six-day-long, horrendously heavy periods that I could time to the minute. I've never used hormonal contraceptives (pill etc.), so can only think the stress of TTC has affected things! Amazed/shocked/impressed by how much influence brain has on body!

Feefeefs · 01/05/2016 20:55

Congratulations Rosie

SincerelyRosie · 01/05/2016 20:42

Hi ladies so I decided to take a break for a while. Too much going on I. My little head after being diagnosed with pcos. Well it's seems taking a break works because this happened today!!

Very unexpected, especially as we have an appointment at the infertility clinic next week!! Fx for a sticky bean!! Although if I have my dates right it's going to be a new year due date!!

No symptoms really, feeling a bit dizzy but nothing unusual. hang in their ladies!

HepKestrel · 01/05/2016 16:44

Jem i think i agree with you there .... its when AF just teases you by being late.... the limboland..... thats what i really hate.

to be fair to her.... with the exception of one odd month, i am fairly regular (post pill). 6 years ago - i was regularly up to 35 days. I do find it curious that my cycle is different now. I guess without the pill it could have naturally changed.

SuchaJem · 01/05/2016 16:23

kath the hope is so hard! Really keeping everything crossed for you.

Kathrino · 01/05/2016 16:03

Thanks bluebird, you're absolutely right. Onwards and upwards!

5tar, I so admire your attitude and positivity. Keeping everything crossed for you that your cycles return to normal asap.

ktt, how exciting to see those words written down!!

twink, I'm desperately trying to hold out until Thurs too (although think AF will appear before then). It's torture when you know you've got a test at home though isn't it? Stark is right, as ever though. Keeping everything crossed!

Oh kav, what a pain. I swear as soon as we started TTC, my body started deliberately mucking up my cycles just to mess with me. I hope you're not stuck in limbo for too much longer.

As for me, I'm still waiting for AF. Went to the loo last night after dinner and there was nothing, half an hour later there was a browny-red spot in my knickers but nothing more since. Very unusual for me to spot like that so have been frantically googling implantation bleeding (am somewhere between 9 and 14 DPO) but given that it's not actually very common, I think I'm just torturing myself and AF is bound to arrive any minute.

SuchaJem · 01/05/2016 15:47

How annoying kav, hope she either hurries up and comes or buggers off altogether for 9 months!

I was thinking the other day about how much I hate it when AF comes, but that really I should be grateful. Having normal periods means my body is working exactly as it should, which is a blessing really Smile

kavanaughkj · 01/05/2016 14:28

Congrats ktt512! - and sorry about the ectopic pregnancy Flash :(

My body is playing silly beggars with me at the moment. I am so confused. Basically it is being horribly sadistic and is teasing me with AF's arrival, but it's doing it in tiny little stages.

On Friday (AF due date) I had to drop DH off for a weekend away, which entailed a long drive to get him to a meeting spot. I'd had brown stains when I wiped (I know, tmi) so I put up my mooncup thinking I'd prefer not to come on halfway through the drive and deal with the mess.

Four hours later when I finally got home I checked the mooncup. Nada. Later that evening, after 2 hours of strenuous exercise ... nada. Nothing yesterday either and didn't feel periody then either.

This morning. Wiped and got pink stain. Put cup up again. Just checked it. Tiny little amount of blood and a fair bit of CM. Oh and then yesterday FF decided that my ov date was on CD 13, not 15 (as I'd originally thought earlier this cycle but FF disagreed with me then) and so I was overdue and could take a test. Oh and it moved my coverline down so 2 temps that had been under the line were then over it.

Took a test. BFN.

My temps are telling me AF is due - as of this morning they are below the revised coverline. I'm just not used to AF taking so bloody long to arrive - normally my cycle is pretty reliably 26 days. I'm CD 29 today and just want my ruddy period to start!!

goes quietly crazy

StarkyTheDirewolf · 01/05/2016 13:24

Congratulations ktt512

twink cb digi are not sensitive at all, they ate 25 iu up. Where's a frer is 10iu, there's a massive difference especially in the early days so I would definitely advise not using a CB digi until you're getting strong lines on a frer or similar. It's literally like weeing on a tenner, better to get a strong bfp then use a CB for confirmation.

twinkydink · 01/05/2016 12:52

ktt I am so happy for you!!

I have a digital one at home and I am holding off using it until Tuesday if I can! I thought they did detect early though?! FF says AF is due tomorrow but I don't believe her I still think thats too early. I'm averaging about a 26 day cycle at the moment which would mean testing on Thursday. Aaahh this is torture!

HepKestrel · 01/05/2016 12:10

Congrats ktt!

Cthulhoo · 01/05/2016 11:05

That's fantastic, ktt, congratulations!

ktt512 · 01/05/2016 10:27

So sorry flash Flowers I hope you're doing ok!

I went to tesco yesterday and they didn't have any first response, so I had to get a clearblue digital - POAS this morning and it came up 'Pregnant 1-2'. So that's terrifying! I'm trying not to get excited because i'm not even at my AF due date yet, so a whole host of things could go wrong. But for the time being, it would seem i'm incubating a tiny little blastocyst! Shock
