Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

A lot to catch up on after a weekend away!

Sorry to hear your news Flash. I hope you're feeling okay Flowers

Big congratulations to Ktt, Rosie, Twinky and ipatches!

Cthulhoo · 03/05/2016 11:26

As I understand it, it's basically an x-ray of the uterus and fallopian tubes. I get injected with contrast dye into cervix and vagina and if everything works as intended the dye should then nicely flow into the fallopian tubes and show up on the x-ray. If it doesn't, the distribution of the dye (and how it's shown on the x-ray) shows where any blockages are.

SuchaJem · 03/05/2016 11:18

You got some DTD in though hep and they'll be good for a few days. Fx

Will do kav sorry it wasn't your month.

Sorry cthul too Sad what's the procedure you're having?

Cthulhoo · 03/05/2016 10:58

I'm out for this cycle - AF is here - and I had a bit of a wobble on Saturday when I could feel AF approaching and it occurred to me that I was now 40 and we've been trying to close to a year.

I now seem to have resigned myself to the fact that we'll probably require some intervention, and that IVF may be in my future.

First, though, comes a hysterosalpinogram (?) next Wednesday. That's going to be CD 9, I ovulate around CD 10 and I'm not to have any intercourse till then. I'm away (without DP) for the week after that so for this cycle we'll have an even smaller than usual window. Sad

Cthulhoo · 03/05/2016 10:52

Congratulations, twinky and ipatches!

kavanaughkj · 03/05/2016 10:15

Hugs to you Hep. My DH did that 2 months ago and it was infuriating then, too.

Wow for all the BFPs going on in here! Congrats to twinky, Rosie and iPatches! Hoping some of your good luck rubs off on me ... next time around, anyway.

Jem, can you put me down for a ticket for the 27th May? AF finally stopped dragging her feet and showed up with a vengeance on Sunday - spent yesterday relaxing and grumping a bit. Weird cycle, last one - a luteal phase 3 days longer than usual and I'm not sure why. Now on CD3 of cycle 4 ...

HepKestrel · 03/05/2016 09:02

congratulations ipatches!!

i'm a bit grumpy today, so I hope you don't mind a mini rant to clear my system.

bloody snooker ... seriously OH? got some medium fertility dtd in, but then he stayed up till small hours watching snooker sunday/monday, so i fell fast asleep - or he did.... he left for work for 3 days this morning, and that bloody smug (non-flashing) smiley face finally turns up. grrrr......

.... and breath....

Ni4444 · 03/05/2016 08:25

Another BFP!! Great news ipatches!!

twinkydink · 03/05/2016 05:57

ipatches congratulations! I feel exactly the same, switching between excitement and pure terror!!! Any idea what we are meant to do now?!

jem I had the smallest amount of brown spotting on 12 dpo but I'm a spotter so I assumes it was start of AF! I was then in the car as a passenger yesterday and felt so rough. Something inside me told me to test and I think I just knew something was different this time. Thinking back I've also been pretty bloated this week but I though that was just from eating badly!

Feefeefs · 02/05/2016 22:16

Congratulations ipatches!!! Very exciting

SuchaJem · 02/05/2016 21:52

Hurrah!! Ipatches too! Wonderful news - congrats lovely Flowers

iPatches · 02/05/2016 21:50

Congratulations Rosie & twinky!

I have been out of touch all weekend because I havent been really sure what was going on for me. AF is due until Wednesday.

On Friday morning I ignored all the rules and took a test even though I didn't notice any changes and I already called myself out. There was a mark on the test strip but it didn't really look like anything and DH said he didnt see it. Took another one at 6pm and there's a line its faint but even DH can see it Shock

Took another one on Saturday morning. Clear BFP. ShockShock

Took another one this morning. BFP no mistaking it not even a little bit squinty. ShockShockShockGrin

clearly we are DELIGHTED but I flip between shocked and worried. I didn't have any idea and had been telling DH that we were out...we are taking things day by day lots of deep breaths...

Yay twinky congratulations! Any symptoms?

Lovely allotment news kwick Smile

Will post the list, lovely to see the grads growing. Let me know if your dates are wrong xx

Flashinthepan · 02/05/2016 21:21

kwick i get that. At the moment im getting through cheese sandwiches and salt and vinegar crisps. At the moment I'm still relieved to have made it safely through surgery, I think they advise to wait for 2 cycles before trying. Although my womb is super thick because it thought it was going to house a baby so I've been warned to expect a period of epic proportions at some point. Fortunately the pregnancy symptoms disappeared straight after the surgery.

twinkydink · 02/05/2016 20:31

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies. It doesn't feel real yet and we have found out really early so I feel like the next 8 weeks will really drag!

kwick that is wonderful news. The weather is supposed to really improve this week so what a lovely time to get some outdoor space!

Kwick709 · 02/05/2016 20:04

flash I am eating lots of doughnuts and chocolate digestives Blush
It is getting easier... although I am sometimes derailed by grief. I am back to work on Wednesday - not looking forward to that at all.

We (my family and I) got some great news on Friday - my mum has been on a waiting list for an allotment for 3 years (and me for 9) and she has been given a lovely plot (okay so we will pay rent - £30 a year!!!) and I am to be joint tenant - so hopefully we can keep it in the family for ages. It needs quite a lot of work doing to it... and I am not the best at physical exertions but you know it was lovely today being outside and purposeful.

Ni4444 · 02/05/2016 19:53

Fab news Twinky!! Congrats! Flowers

Ni4444 · 02/05/2016 19:51

What's DHEA Kwick? and where do I get me some? supplement junkie

Just had left cramp with a shooting pain down front of left leg. I think I read someone had that as a sign before BFP? The headfucking has started! AF due any time today to Saturday (27-32). Not testing. starky star all the way

KatOnATinRo0f · 02/05/2016 19:18

Wow so many BFPs congrats all
On holiday at the moment will try to read up when I get a few mins wifi.
My cousin just had a beautiful baby girl, so happy for her.
Just checking in so I get the thread in my threads as you had disappeared as I have been a bad thread member and not posted. No news to report. CD 5 cycle 10 for me.

Flashinthepan · 02/05/2016 18:23

And congrats Rosie ktt and twinky and anyone else I missed whos had a bfp.

Flashinthepan · 02/05/2016 18:21

Evening all. Thank you so much for your kind messages and to those of you who've had losses or just having a hard time getting started its so nice to have the support and understanding even though I wish it was easy for us all. Obviously itll be a few months before I can try again but just going to hang around keep healthy and work towards a happier outcome next time. How are you coping kwick?

5tardusty · 02/05/2016 18:08

Congrats to all the BFPs!!! Great news!

kwick i'm still getting vv faint positives on hpts so not quite there yet. I've also read though that hcg can sometimes be used to stimulate ovulation so i decided to just start again as soon as the bleeding stopped just in case i ovulated. It's so annoying not knowing whats going on in there!

Ovia Smartarse is confused too, so at least it's not just me Grin

Kwick709 · 02/05/2016 17:37

ni you are a good girl!!! Egg quality is so important :) I am on DHEA now too which is supposed to help loads too.

twinky CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Great news!!!! Star

Kathrino · 02/05/2016 17:26

Hurrah twinky! Huge congratulations, that's brilliant news! StarStarStar
