Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Starky - I am too scared to move over. Havent even summoned up the courage to call the doctor yet. I'm only 4 days late even now but have known for over a week because I got a BFP early.

Feefeefs · 08/05/2016 12:29

Glad you got your scan date starky! Not long now Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 08/05/2016 11:31

jem I think because I opted to have all the blood tests, it was four vials. If you don't opt to have the extra blood tests it's only one or two vials. I figured while the needle was in my arm then I might as well crack on and have them all.

SuchaJem · 08/05/2016 11:20

Glad to hear it went well stark that sounds like quite a bit of blood!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 08/05/2016 11:10

ni it went well thanks! Except for the perfect storm of me not having anticipated a massive wait, so hadn't had any breakfast, and it was boiling in there. Was watching her put the needle in, i find it completely fascinating Dh was busy going green and having kittens on the other side of the room and all of a sudden, got to the third vial (of four) felt all hot/cold and the nurse going "ooh you have gone a bit pale" and then I needed to rest my head on my arm for a little moment! I didn't faint though, I've never in my life fainted and I'm not starting now! But I was mortified! Grin all I could feel were dh's hands holding my arm and my front so I didn't face plant the floor if I fell forwards!

But yes, at your booking in, make sure you've had something to eat beforehand and take a sugary drink 'cause they take about a half a pint and my blood sugar was not ready for that! Grin scan is in two weeks so at least we've got that far now! Grin

New bfp'ers! Are you coming to share your news with the grads thread?

Definetly definetly get yourselves into the habit of drinking a shedload of water, I wasn't very good and you end up with stinking headaches because little parasite saps all your sugar and water in the first few weeks and you're bloody exhausted!

Ni4444 · 08/05/2016 08:43

Aw Twink that's so cute!! Reading up the Ovia pregnancy articles...my God there's so much to learn!

Stark how did get on at your booking in apt? That was Friday, right?!

Kathrino · 08/05/2016 01:11

Ni, my husband wants one of those badges for himself! I'm pretty sure when/if I get pregnant, he'll be shamelessly using my badge to get a seat for his lazy bum! Interesting too about dehydration and CM, definitely something I need to consider.

Go for it pug! I always think it's so much easier/less stressful (if you work a 9-5) when peak fertility falls on a Saturday night!

SuchaJem · 08/05/2016 00:26

Thanks for the reassurance Wink xx

Ni4444 · 07/05/2016 23:10

Get to it Pug! I'm rooting for you!!

Jem the only thing I worried about drink affecting is my CM because of dehydration. But this month around O I drank lots (conceived on that trip back to my parents house haha!!!) we dtd only once in FW and didn't use pre-seed this month...and bam it worked! Fingers crossed for you xx

OH went "oh you're not gonna get one of those badges to get a seat on the tube, are you?". I had to explain how fatigue is a serious issue during pregnancy. He also thinks not carrying heavy stuff is nonsense. I'm gonna have to do a lot of teaching!!!!

Kwick709 · 07/05/2016 22:17

sucha would you be a jem (see what I did there Wink ) and add me to the not sure but of the list. Thanks :)

Pugmummy87 · 07/05/2016 21:25

Hello all!

I have been lurking, but just haven't had anything interesting to post about!

Congratulations to Rosie, ktt, Twinky, ipatches and Ni!!!
What a bumper crop of bfps!

jem i really wouldn't worry about drinking affecting fertilisation! I see plenty of women who come to me who said they were still drinking before they found out they were pregnant!

As for me, i am CD 11 today, been testing with the clear blue opks, went straight from low fertility the last 2 days to peak today! Completely different to last month! Best get on it tonight!

Kathrino · 07/05/2016 21:19

Thanks for the list Jem. Re booze, I've not read anything that suggests it will interfere with conception/implantation but it's an interesting point you raise about anxiety etc which I hadn't really thought about before. I find anything more than a glass interferes with my sleep and has a depressive effect which may be isn't ideal although I'd guess the impact is fairly marginal given the number of people who seem to conceive on boozy holidays etc! Sounds like you and DH have got ovulation covered though so FX for a happy outcome to your TWW!

SuchaJem · 07/05/2016 20:25

How's this looking?

Good to see the grad list growing again Smile

Thanks for the reassurance moose jamjar kav

It's partly the booze and partly the anxiety that comes with it. Had a sleepless night last night, heart racing and anxious thoughts - alcohol induced. Just can't be conducive to conception Confused

In the TWW now so will just have to sit back and wait. Perhaps the lowered expectations will temper the symptom spotting?!

Ni4444 · 07/05/2016 18:24

Thanks guys!! Grin xxx

iPatches · 07/05/2016 15:02

Congratulations Ni - very excited for you! I think we will be at similar stages!

Hope everyone else is okay. I am doing well. I feel like I should feel pregnant but I dont I feel completely normal..?

Ni4444 · 07/05/2016 14:29

Thanks lovely ladies! It seems very unreal! Probably not helped by the fact that we had to rush out the door to view a house, and then we both went different directions to do a few hours work!! Heading home now so looking forward to letting it settle in.

Ps...I couldn't resist the opportunity to video OH reaction (I won't out us by putting it up but here's how it went...) So I went up to him with my plate of poached eggs (we compete to see who can make the best ones!:
"How do you like my eggs?"
"Oh they're really good"
" You liked my other egg too apparently!!" and I pulled out the test!
