Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

I had a very similar rant last week Moose, these damn men of ours!! Still if this isn't our month we've booked a last minute holiday that covers all of next cycle's fw! Not that he knows that part, of course. Wink

Flash glad things are moving on in the right direction for you, hope you and your oh are doing okay. Flowers

Flashinthepan · 09/05/2016 09:34

Haha, Jem I don't blame you, I don't want to jinx the thread, you can wish me luck for my next ovulatory cycle!

SuchaJem · 09/05/2016 09:14

Sorry about AF skylucy I've put you down for next month.

flash that is good news - not sure I can bring myself to wish you good luck for a bfn! Hmm

Flashinthepan · 09/05/2016 09:02

Morning all. My good news for the day is that I think the post surgery bleeding has stopped, so now I have to wait 6 - 10 weeks for a real AF and hope that the pregnancy test I have to take at the weekend is negative. Hoping to get a bfn must be a first for this thread!

SkyLucy · 09/05/2016 08:48

Hi all, just returned after a week away from the thread...cycle 5 arrived with a vengeance, could you put me down for 3 June Jem? Here we go again! Loving all the BFPs, congrats everyone! X

Mooseville · 09/05/2016 08:41

Ni you can stay here as long as you want! We don't want any of you to leave us as much as we love the BFP's! I guess you just have to think of it a nice little secret!

Thanks girls, it's nice to have somewhere to vent on here. I don't want to get mad at him as he's already talked about worrying about performing under pressure etc... However there was no pressure at all last night! I haven't even mentioned TTC this month. It was all going fine and then he all of a sudden stopped! I wouldn't bloody care, it was the last thing I'd wanted to do and I'd put some serious effort in to appear enthusiastic!!! Lol
Fingers crossed I can get him intrested tonight!

SuchaJem · 09/05/2016 08:26

Oh moose! Sad I hope he's more in the mood tonight.

No need for anyone to leave if they don't want to ni Smile

Ni4444 · 09/05/2016 08:14

Thanks May and Kav

I agree ipatches and Twink...doesn't feel real because we haven't told anybody....need to book flights to tell my parents...and we don't want to book only to find we lost it before we get to travel! Ooh it's a weird time!! Might call the GP later this week.... Too scared for grads thread- I wanna stay here!!

Stark I drank more water this past week than i ever usually do...have been waking in the night needing to refill my glass. Think I'll have to bring a giant bottle to bed with me!... And I'm feeling tired.. But I'm not sure if it's too early and it's all in my head?! It may have been from sitting in the sun all day yesterday. I was so bloated last Tuesday I ripped the lining of my dress!! Charming, eh?! Think the water has helped with that though...and lots of walking.

Ctul we only dtd once this FW and it worked! So don't rule yourself out!

FXSkip · 09/05/2016 06:55

Ah moose that's a tough on for sure. But you already answered your own question. Say yes, my love, no pressure at all and then let it be. Then, spend time and effort reminding yourself that there is no pressure. ISW is just that, a whole week, so relax and try to put it out of your mind and focus on enjoying your time together. It's really hard at the beginning, and it's too easy to give up and wallow in the frustration, but with time and practice you'll be able to retrain your thought pattern and be much happier for it - I promise! Meanwhile, we're here to help! X

HepKestrel · 09/05/2016 06:50

Ha moose! My oh pretty much the same to me this month!

I share your rage!

Mooseville · 09/05/2016 06:47

Well trying to be zen and relaxed about this month has taken a sudden nose dive. Had DTD Thursday, then was aiming for last night and Mon/Tues with ovulation due on Tues. DP seemed well up for it but then just wimped out and asked if I minded that we didn't???? He prefers not to know that it's ovulation as hates doing it under pressure so what am I meant to say but "no of course not, it doesn't matter!" AAARGH!
What is wrong with these men???? Honestly, he has never once before turned down DTD, but then TTC and all of sudden, he's just not in the mood!! And he certainly DID seem in the mood to me iykwim! Ha ha
FFS! Bloody men!!

At this rate, not going to get upduffed for years!

FXSkip · 09/05/2016 06:11

And no, zero symptom except for bubbly sensations now and then.

FXSkip · 09/05/2016 06:11

Lol pug I must have missed that chat! If that's the case then I ovulate all over the place, since I get OV spots ALL OVER

kavanaughkj · 08/05/2016 23:47

Awww congrats Ni! So happy for you :-) waiting on fertile period here though I think I have some kind of viral infection which isn't helping matters :-( beautiful sunny weekend was lovely though and had a lovely day out Saturday :-)

mayago · 08/05/2016 20:59

Congratulations Ni!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 08/05/2016 20:58

puh I think so, I wasn't really concentrating/understanding tbh. We were just chatting about the tests they do, and scan nuchal cold wotsit, and she was saying that some people want to know and others don't. I said we'd rather know so we can do research/prepare ourselves etc and then it was blood test time!

twink I'm 11+3 and it still doesn't feel real. Deffo pop in, there's just about to be a new thread started Smile

ipatches I think the fact that I am actually 4 day late now and the exhaustion and bloating just makes me realise there is something going on with my body!

iPatches · 08/05/2016 18:50

Jem no real symptoms, dont feel any different to normal. I only tested because we were going to the pub thought Id better double check!! I am bloated like before my period but nothing major.

Twinky what is making it feel real?

Pugmummy87 · 08/05/2016 18:32

Jem now that is an excellent effort for the cause lol. Fx that you have covered all bases, I have a good feeling for you this month!

Starky are the extra tests for chromosomal screening? Glad you didn't pass out and I echo your advicervix about drinking plenty in pregnancy!

cthul it only takes one sperm! Fx for you.

skip that sounds good. Any symptoms?

kwick I'm sure before long you will be wearing that baby on board badge with pride!

Thanks kath! I echo about peak fertility falling on a Saturday night! We dtd last night, we'll see if I can encourage DH again tonight.
Have been enjoying the sun today, I do love having our own back garden and sitting at the garden table under the shade of a parasol reading a book. I feel nice and relaxed. Hopefully will be conducive to dh's swimmers wining and dining my egg!
Temp was higher than usual this morning and I had some mild cramping sensation whilst we were dtd on my right side so I think I may have ovulated. Pretty sure you can't get the timing any bloody better than that if I have!

Did someone once say on here about getting a spot on the face around ovulation and what side of your face it was on, indicated what ovary had ovulated? Or am I making that up? I woke up with a spot just below my lip on my right today.

twinkydink · 08/05/2016 18:31

ipatches I havent called either. I registered with a new doctors on Friday and so should be all on the system ready to make an appointment by Wednesday.

My bloating today so ridiculous, honestly I think I look about 12 weeks already!

stark I think I might pop my head in now because it's starting to feel a bit more real!

SuchaJem · 08/05/2016 18:07

Aww patches do you have many symptoms? Fx for a sticky little pip.

Hello skip two days late sounds promising! Hope she stays away.

cthul I'm sure someone on here recently said they got their bfp after just one DTD in their fw. I think just go for it when you can and keep fx as usual.

kwick big hug hope it's not long before that badge will be coming in handy.

ema timings with the wedding sounds a bugger, see how you feel closer to the time I guess?

Day 17, 2 DPO over here. Managed to get a cheeky DTD in just after arrival at the in laws yesterday! Just nipped upstairs to "freshen up" Blush Just don't want to miss it!

emalady · 08/05/2016 17:38

Jem wasn't sure how well known it was as a abbreviation but I love it. List is looking good, so many people on here now!

kwick great about the donor vials, the 2 vials ill be plenty. Hope you got to enjoy the allotment over the weekend. Rubbish timing with the badge, just have it ready for next time? Or do they make you return them? I have always wondered.

kathrino & bluebird completely get the holiday frustration. For some reason the last time we went away it ended up feeling more like DTD was a chore than in "normal" life!

ni That's so exciting, congrats, very happy for you!

For me AF is due 3 days before a friends wedding, not sure what i will do if I'm late but thinking I'm likely to avoid testing as don't think I want to know and therefore have everyone else know that early.

Kwick709 · 08/05/2016 16:10

Perhaps I should do a test to bring on af?

Sadly my baby on board badge (which I have been coveting for years) arrived the day after I had my second scan :(

Cthulhoo · 08/05/2016 14:22

So this cycle we will have exactly one (1) opportunity to dtd because of the bad timing of having the x-ray on Wednesday and me leaving for a few days on Thursday. I've pretty much written off this cycle already but does anyone have any suggestion or recommendations what we can do to give this one time the best shot?

FXSkip · 08/05/2016 14:19

Hi all, just checking in then saw the list - any sign of orchard? So AF is 2 days late, how long I gotta wait to get a starkystar? Lol I'm not testing because I am confident that testing brings on AF, and if I can delay her (by not testing) then I will have an AF free holiday next cycle. That's logical isn't it?

Congrats to the recent crop of BFPs so exciting!! Had a lovely baby bomb this weekend, so I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy Grin
