Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Good work mrhep! Happy birthday Flowers

How frustrating kav. They say having swimmers ready to greet egg is key so hopefully you'll catch it. Hope he's up for it tonight.

HepKestrel · 11/05/2016 12:17

thanks everyone!
snow yes i am certainly getting impatient this tww. I confess, when I came off the pill last year, i honestly thought (though didn't admit it even to my self) that we would be successful by now.
Moose i feel for you, OH is just so relaxed about it .....

Am going to divert my energy into planning some holidays. we need to plan a holiday for next bank holiday (co-incidently partially overlapping with ISW ) . I also want him to commit to another one for the autumn, as I would love to have a few days on west coast scotland including seeing the eagles on Mull.

holidays can only help right ? well... except the bank balance but pfft.... to that.

Happy birthday Hep 🍻🎂🎉💐 it's mine in just over a week and I'm hoping my present will be af staying away 😝😄.
3dpo and oh my god time has slowed down to almost go in reverse. I can't wait for next cycle to start (unless it doesn't!) as I'm starting Clomid etc. my RE has told me there's more like a 30% chance of it working within 3 cycles and 80% of it working within 6. Compared to my 5-8% per natural cycle I'm very optimistic.
The sun and wa weather seems to have come now so it's lovely here, flowers coming all over the place, trees blossoming, it's really quite lovely. We might have found a house (to rent, as we are thinking of getting a new build in a really nice town) and I'm feeling quite settled here after a few weeks of not really feeling like I belonged anywhere. Dh is working hard and I'm loving the equivalent salary here. I'm going to work as a nursery school assistant at a lovely preschool/daycare type place as I'm already planning on sending my future child there and staff get a 75% discount. It's expensive a forest type school with loads of land and excellent facilities. Crazy to think ahead so far but I need to work as staying at home means I basically shop all day 😜😂😖😄

Hope everyone is doing well? Lots of lovely beans growing nicely, and plenty more to come I hope!

Mooseville · 11/05/2016 10:58

Happy Birthday Hep!! Those gestures mean loads more than a bunch of flowers!

Aaaargh kav Why is it so difficult? It does sound as though you should have got enough swimmers in there though - hopefully it won't make a difference!

It's tough, especially when it's more performance related. It really is not the part of TTC that I expected to be difficult!!!
For me, I don't want to make too big a deal of it and cause more issues in the long run - it is quite bizarre that what you used to class as a fun activity has become essential and has so many emotions attached to it and could have such a life changing outcome! No wonder they find it difficult!!

Fingers crossed for you bluebird hopefully this is a lucky month...

kavanaughkj · 11/05/2016 10:21

Oops - meant to say, happy birthday Hep! Cake

kavanaughkj · 11/05/2016 10:18

Moose, can I give you a sympathy hug? I feel your pain lately.

Trying not to get a complex here but rapidly becoming one I think. :( Just hit peak fertility this morning. Got busy ... and DH couldn't make it. We did it yesterday and the day before so I shouldn't be worried, I guess, but that makes the 3rd month running that he's not been able to on top of peak fertility for whatever reason - unfortunately he's been ill over the last 3 fertile windows which has royally sucked. Just - arghhh!! So frustrating. I'm hoping yesterday's swimmers will still be around but I'm very conscious that as an over 35 timing is particularly important for me.

May try and jump him again later but I think there's just too much pressure and he won't want it. Yesterday he volunteered. Today - probably not happening.

cries

Good luck for everybody testing soon! The BFPs in here keep me going.

HepKestrel · 11/05/2016 09:13

Hello every one,
Flowers and best wishes to all where ever you are in this ttc/pregnant lark.

I am 8dpo and trying to stay zen, but constantly monitoring for for pre-AF boobs....must not poke.... must not poke.....

My completely unromantic OH (I have given up on ever getting a flowers from him), actually surprised me this morning! He works away in the week, but is actually coming home tonight to take me out for my birthday! Just a (really good!) curry in the village. Will go out properly on saturday.

He is full of cold, so he might just want to be home before man-flu kicks in .... Hmm

Flashinthepan · 11/05/2016 08:21

kwick sorry if that sounded insensitive. if it helps to put your mind at rest then there's definitely no harm. I'm certainly no expert but I think that after an ectopic they want to make sure there isn't a pregnancy anywhere else, or that there's no tissue still growing where it shouldn't. Can you ring your clinic to ask if they recommend anything?

SuchaJem · 11/05/2016 08:10

Hugs bluebird really hoping you are duffed up before he has to do his bit. It must be all be worrying but the upside is you are getting help which will hopefully lead to quicker bfp. Fx for you.

Kwick709 · 11/05/2016 05:15

flash I guess ai did not miscarry naturally either - I mean the baby died but then I did not wait to miscarry naturally. Maybe I should test too...

Thanks for all warm wishes. I am off for a long weekend today so that will hopefully help.

Flashinthepan · 10/05/2016 23:09

Sorry you're having a hard time bluebird. I don't know what it's like to have been trying for a long time but I know now what it's like to have fertility issues hanging over you and it's hard. Kwick I have to test because I didn't miscarry naturally so they have to make sure they removed everything. And 6 to 10 weeks is just because they don't know when I'll start ovulating again and they recommend not conceiving for 2-3 months after an ectopic so I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine.

bluebird3 · 10/05/2016 21:54

Hi everyone. Haven't been on in a couple days...just needed to chill out a bit.

Fx for you girls testing this week..fx orchard and jem and anyone I've missed. Hope you get your bfps!

Sorry about the sickness feefs! It sounds no fun and you're free to moan here.

kwick hope you're feeling better or at least taking some time for yourself. You deserve it. Flowers

I had my day 3 bloods this month and all came back normal. I have to go back for day 21 bloods too. Currently day 14. I've reminded Dh that when my bloods are done it's his turn for a SA, which he is pretending to know nothing about (even though we've had this conversation multiple times). I think on the days I say giddy up and he doesn't want to, it's good motivation for him to pull his finger out bc he's hoping I'll be upduffed before he has to jizz in a cup. Well he's got one last shot this month. Starting to properly feel infertile now which is a mindfuck all in it's own. Sad

StarkyTheDirewolf · 10/05/2016 21:13

I've not been poorly yet but I've been knackered! Have found the tesco preggers multi vitamins easier to take as they've got everything you're supposed to take, folive acid etc and ginger and stuff in them. They get 5/5 Starky stars.

Ice lollies are excellent to have in the freezer feef

I just had loads of stuff to say to everyone and my brain has just gone poof and I've just got like innocuous music or light jazz going on in there as the ability to think has completely escaped me.

OP posts:
Feefeefs · 10/05/2016 21:01

Good plan ni! Ginger doesn't work for me! The only thing that works is full large meals(!!)very annoying not helpful for the fat bloated feeling!

Went completely off all fish, vegetables and fruit until last week and now I can eat fruit. Hunger is the enemy

SuchaJem · 10/05/2016 20:53

feef not insensitive at all, please don't feel guilty. Just because we want to be pregnant doesn't mean being pregnant isn't hard for others. I really hope you feel better soon xx let us know how the scan goes too! Hope all ticking along as it should be.

Ni4444 · 10/05/2016 20:37

I'm dreading the nausea, fatigue, and mood swings because OH hasn't a clue about pregnancy (he just thinks woman gets pregnant, grows a belly, 9months later baby arrives) and I'm afraid he won't be understanding because of that (he'll probably be fine, I'm just worrying!)

Jem crossing fingers and toes for you (...it's rather disabling but I'll be fine!! 😜 ) You too Fx and Theo

Kwick sending you hugs on your down day!! Hope you're snuggled up on the couch indulging yourself a bit!

Feefs are you able to keep anything down? I'm thinking I'll try almonds or water crackers by my bedside as well as fresh ginger tea, and regular small bites when the nausea kicks in. God knows if it'll work though!!!

Feefeefs · 10/05/2016 20:29

Thanks ni sorry just feeling a bit sorry for myself this evening too! Another great side effect! The hormones!

Ni4444 · 10/05/2016 20:25

Feefs you're allowed to moan...and it's important for all of us to be realistic-being pregnant is not going to be a walk in the park (funnily enough I did just walk in the park...being super healthy with food and walking at the mo cos I know a time will come when pregnancy is not gonna be easy!). Just like baby arriving is not gonna be all perfect and idyllic! Moan away!

Moose I think we've all been there -it's soooo frustrating!!!!! Do you think if you give him the stats "women of my age who time sex perfectly still take an average of X months to get pregnant cos egg quality and sperm quality deteriorate", would that help him realise that committing to dtd is not committing to having a kid in 9 months (although for you Moose I'm hoping that 9 months IS the case!!!)

Feefeefs · 10/05/2016 20:23

Around week 5 but really amped up week 6/7 now occasionally a bit better but some vomiting and constant headache. I don't want to be sick from work but that's pretty much all I can do then all my energy gets spent there which isn't very fair on DH

iPatches · 10/05/2016 20:19

Mosse - time to sit down with DH for a chat and a plan I think. You need to decide together which comes first house or baby. We cant answer that (I think people here have done it both ways!)

Feefs uh oh, i am really worried about sickness etc. I am normally a very healthy person so dreading the idea of being unwell. When did it start?

Jem chin up, I got a bfp on cd23 so it could happen soon!

FX Test tomorrow I'm excited for you!

Feefeefs · 10/05/2016 20:08

The sickness and tiredness are just not what I was expecting sucha! I knew about morning sickness etc but didn't expect full blown all day nausea and the most extreme tiredness I've ever experienced! I am very forgetful as a result which is affecting my performance at work at times and can't tell anyone yet so just seem a bit of an idiot! Plus the scan worry! It really is Schrödinger's pregnancy at the moment! Is there something in the sac or not? We find out Saturday(hopefully). Also very "out of sync" with DH as needing to go to bed at around 9pm and very picky with food when I normally wouldn't be. Now I'm just having a big old insensitive moan and I feel terribly guilty!!

I am happy I just didn't expect to feel like this

SuchaJem · 10/05/2016 19:15

moose your DH sounds so like mine! The bricks and mortar thing - it's quite cave man. Must have roof and fire to make baby. Hope he comes round and realises there is more urgency on the baby side!

skip haha on the 100% thing - been there many times! Hope you are knocked up Smile

feefs sorry to hear you're not enjoying it. Why is it so unpleasant?

kwick ups and downs are totally normal, go easy on yourself and hope you wake up happier tomorrow.

Day19, 4 dpo for me. Feeling a bit down in the dumps myself today - which is usually an early PMS sign for me. Sigh.

Kwick709 · 10/05/2016 18:41

moose very sorry about your OH's lack of cooperation. but also quite relieved that I do not have to handle that aspect of on tap magic potion

Kwick709 · 10/05/2016 18:32

flash and 5star I have not tested after my op... Should I be Hmm? And WTF do you mean 6-10 weeks??? I really hope it does not take my junk that long to get going again after MC.
Feelong very low at the mo... PMA seems to have done a bunk :(

Feefeefs · 10/05/2016 17:57

My DH was like that too moose. He thinks we've lined up too many stressful events in one go! I think it's just life! It's hard we compromised and obviously I'm pregnant. He's delighted but definitely finding it quite stressful. I AM NOT myself and 1st trimester is not fun or particularly happy just now. So I can definitely see both sides! I think a full frank chat is in order! And probably compromise on both sides.
