Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Well, thanks for staying and keeping an eye on the others! Hopefully we all will get a BFP soon!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 13/05/2016 20:19

Thanks Direwolf, I can smell everything now too. But yet again, it could be anything! Where about's are you in your journey, so to speak?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 13/05/2016 19:48

russ stress and hormones, regardless of where you are in your cycle you'll be producing progesterone which can do funny things to your body. Ttc is a nightmare of stress and anxiety. Only thing to do is enjoy the tww as much as possible with wine, soft cheese etc and see what happens.

But ill be honest, I felt off colour at about 14 dpo and I could smell EVERYTHING. But it really is absolutely no indication.

Oh yes, yes, Kestrel, am totally aware of that. Just don't know why I'm feeling this way. Maybe it's all stress related. Not having a job, being made redundant all of a suddenly, and it was done in a horrible way while being in Iraq, talking to the UK employment Law solicitor as a result. Maybe all of this make AF late. But then other symptoms are hard to ignore. Must get our this limbo land very soon!

HepKestrel · 13/05/2016 19:09

Its way too early for pregnancy related nausea

Russkispy · 13/05/2016 17:40

Jar12 - we need to meet somewhere in Kent land and rant and rant in person! Haha

Jem - where about's are you in London? I used to live in SE26 before moving to Kent.
I just want to get out if this limbo land! So so frustrating. Sat at the airport now and about to burst into tears. Kind of feeling nauseous too. What's going ! ??

FXSkip · 13/05/2016 17:33

Jem and Alice - I've POAS enough thank you very much. I just wish AF would show up - ideally not when I'm in the midst of my 19hr flight!!

Alice when in your cycle was the bleeding? I spotted for 3 days around CD 18, and still wonder if that was my AF and I'm actually now CD 15 of a whole new cycle. Then I think thats crazy and it was either OV or implantation. Or neither and I'm actually asexual. Who knows.

I am based in Northern Scotland, and also trying for 1st baby. Well, actually not trying this month as we didn't want a winter baby, didn't want to be pg when moving house/doing renovations and didn't want to be pg on trip of a lifetime.

Jamjar12 · 13/05/2016 17:20

Hope you find something soon or get a BFP to keep you occupied!

You're really close, I'm in Gillingham!

Russkispy · 13/05/2016 16:46

Jem, are you trying for your first baby?
Kestrel - flying home tonight, into the land of limbo! Hopefully will have some answers soon! Also, need to decide as to what to do about work. Looking for a new position? I've applied for loads of volunteering work and received some emails to deal with upon my return. Hopefully, I'll find something soon to occupy my time. I worked overseas for 4 years, and now all of a sudden, I don't have a job! Everyone to tell me to relax, but I'm so unsettled. I wish I got a BFP now so I could concentrate on that! Fingers and toes are crossed!
Jar12 - I'm In Gravesend and you?

Jamjar12 · 13/05/2016 16:36

Hey Russ, I'm in Kent! Telling someone to relax is the easiest advice to give but the hardest advice to follow lol!

HepKestrel · 13/05/2016 16:16

Russkispy when are you home from your holiday (and can get more?) hopefully by then any result would be definitive?

Russkispy · 13/05/2016 15:32

No more poas! That's why I only tested on 15dpo. And 2ww was fine. Boobs are still sore but nothing else is happening. Yes. Trying for our first baby.

AliceScarlett · 13/05/2016 15:01

skip poas!!

I'm 31 in Hampshire. Also disliking being in limbo land.I've handed in my application for the promotion going at my work, no idea what to do if I don't get it.

Decided to wait til AF turns up before going to see GP about mid cycle bleeding. It'll be cycle 6 by then so if it is pcos or something I want to get the ball rolling now in terms of investigations and stuff. 8 days til poas.

I'm in the garden on annual leave, bliss.

SuchaJem · 13/05/2016 14:28

Russ I'm 32 and live in London. Are you trying for your first baby?

Skip POAS woman!!

HepKestrel · 13/05/2016 13:51

ah yes, the joys of limboland Hmm.

take it easy, drink lots of water and take care in the sun.

Russkispy · 13/05/2016 13:18

Thank you, ladies, for your support so far! I'm in Majorca at the moment and went for a walk when all of a sudden started feeling light headed. DH is with me and got a bit worried. I don't usually get light headed. And we drunk loads of water and Oj today and had enough to eat. So not sure what this is all about then?!
I've recently become redundant (was working in Iraq) but got back last month and in time for fertile window. Therefore we DTD from CD10, all the way to CD18! Haha decided to cover the grounds from all angles! Can I ask your age? I'm 40 now, DH41. And is any of you based in Kent? I'm on garden leave right now and getting anxious about not working. Friends told me to relax but find it hard! So want to know whether I'm pregnant or start applying for jobs! Hate this limbo situation! Rant is over! Thanks for listening!

HepKestrel · 13/05/2016 12:19

wow fx i am impressed by your zen !

FXSkip · 13/05/2016 12:06

Jem and Russki I know, its a joke. I tested earlier in the week (so I already lost my Starky Star) but BFN and I can't be bothered testing again. Unlike Russki we only DTD once, as we were not even living in the same house at the time (due to house move/kitchen renovation - don't worry!)

I'm trying to focus on being fit and healthy, and trying not to keep thinking about it! Its so hard though!!

HepKestrel · 13/05/2016 12:05

Russkispy irrational rants and musings are welcome on this thread !

If you need a rant to de-stress - then this is a safe place ! I certainly do from time to time Grin

SuchaJem · 13/05/2016 11:53

We don't get bored with it russ - check out the rest of this thread Wink

Good luck with your wait hope it yields the desired outcome!

Russkispy · 13/05/2016 11:45

Thank you, Skip! But 8 days late? What's the explanation for it, I wonder?
I don't trust any of the sites and I'm totally aware that every woman on this planet is different and experience different symptoms! That's why I never bothered to send my post earlier as didn't want to bore you with it. But I feel like I'm late and experienced different symptoms this month as it's our first time TTC when we DTD a few days prior OV, then on OV day and a couple of days after OV. I'll carry on waiting and let you know X

SuchaJem · 13/05/2016 11:37

Skip - 8 days late??

FXSkip · 13/05/2016 11:16

Hell yes Hep

Fishy that sucks. I am in a similar(ish) position where I am doing manager work but they have said there is no 'bandwidth' to have me be made a manager. Well, sod them, I spend all day on MN :)

Russki welcome. We've seen it all here, and the only thing we know for sure is if you google it you will determine the following:

  1. You are definitely pregnant
  2. You are definitely not pregnant
  3. You have a rare hair follicle disorder that requires urgent medical attention (or something along those lines)

In our many, many collective months here we have learned not to trust Google, boobs, discharge, cervix position, HPTs and even our own gut instincts. Best thing you can do it keep healthy, distract yourself and patiently wait for AF. I personally am 8 days late, but my initial excitement has turned to being convinced I'm just having a duff cycle. Let us know though, we love a BFP over here!

Peaches I cannot imagine, nor do I have any meaningful advice I can give you so I am truly sorry. Her baby will be a bittersweet reminder of your experiences, I hope that with time it becomes more sweet than anything for you. XX

HepKestrel · 13/05/2016 10:35

Hi Rus!

Many of us have been randomly late one cycle for apparent reason. No advice other than to wait a day or two and test again with a frer on first pee of the day.

Fx for you
