Have had very little sex this month. Been unable to track ovulation due to recent removal of coil. So, had sex a week last Friday. It's now 10 days later. Just now did a cheap test with 25m sensitivity and here it is. Definite positive. Shit, does this mean twins????? I think I am having a meltdown...

@Sal2017 I’d be inclined to say that is a pretty clear positive!

How many dpo are you? Was the picture taken in the timeframe and have colour in person?

Sal2017 · 02/01/2024 00:49

Hi would you say this is a faint positive or an evaporation line thanks in advance

jod1985 - I miscarried following my pregnancy after removal of the Coil too. I fell pregnant on my first cycle after removal, had two weeks of lovely BFPs but then I miscarried. I was pre-warned before TTC that it's very common for the pregnancy to fail if it's the first cycle after Coil removal.

Sorry to hear that you're in the same boat Flowers

Jod1985 · 18/04/2016 21:11

Hi ladies, thanks for thinking and asking about me. I am still in limbo. I haven't got my period yet but IC's are showing as BFN now.
I don't know what is going on.
I'm sorry to hear you had a chemical mrsminty Thanks

iwillbemrsminty · 18/04/2016 15:12

Jod just wondered how are you doing? Mine was a chemical and I'm now on day 5 of the bleed and it's twindled its way down to brown spotting now. I hope you're ok.

emsyj · 13/04/2016 18:00

Sorry to hear that Jod. Hope you are ok.

I spoke to my GP and she said it sounded it a chemical. So just waiting it out now.

emsyj · 13/04/2016 12:00

I can see a faint line too. Maybe visit the GP and get a blood test?? It does seem unusual for faint lines to continue for this long, but Im not an expert. It seems odd tho.

I have decided not to test again til next Monday, when I plan to do the other digital test from the box of 2 and see if it says 2-3. Am going to delay contacting the midwife until I get a bit further along.

Hey, well I am more confused than ever. After getting faint pink lines I did another FRER yesterday and what I initially thought was a line looks more like a cruel indent line with no colour in it Confused Still no sign of AF though? What about you?

How are you doing Jod1985 ?

OP posts:
Jod1985 · 11/04/2016 20:10

The lines weren't getting any darker so that's why I thought I would give it a break for a couple of days. I am afraid I'm imagining the lines or they are evap lines. I'm also afraid it's hkj g to be a chemical PG

emsyj · 11/04/2016 19:40

I can see very faint lines. I would just keep testing each day and see if they get darker. Smile

I'd be inclined to think they're positive. Do another in the morning and see if it's any clearer.

Jod1985 · 11/04/2016 19:25

Here's the IC's. They are very very faint

I would love that mopants!!! You hear so many stories of people taking months to get AF again. I have sort of convinced myself all these symptoms are either AF coming or mirena crash. They were FRER and one IC

Sorry to jump in again jod1985 I was pregnant with twins 2 weeks after my mirena coil coming out Wink

emsyj · 11/04/2016 18:52

No pregnancy symptoms on removal, no - just some moderate period pain type cramps and then a short bleed. I was convinced I was pregnant this month though, I actually feel as though I am almost showing already!!! I can hardly do my trousers up and my boobs are massive (and perky for the first time since I was bf DD2!!! Grin)

Do you have a FRER test? I would try one of those - I think they are the most sensitive. When did you last test?

OP posts:
Jod1985 · 11/04/2016 18:29

I had the mirena removed on 23rd March. I had it for 3 years. I haven't had a bleed yet. I have some sporting when I wiped last weekend. I was expecting my period by now. I had a few very very faint Positive tests (I think) although maybe I am imagining the lines and now I'm afraid to test again. Did you have pregnancy symptoms after getting it removed?

emsyj · 11/04/2016 17:52

Feeling much calmer now!! Just did a CB digital and it says 1-2 so I guess I am in the 'normal' range. Grin

"Home pregnancy tests look for the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in your urine, and levels of that hormone are indeed higher in multiple pregnancies — but not right away. It takes a few days to outpace the hCG production of a singleton (one baby) pregnancy. On the first day of your first missed period, there might be no difference at all. Since you tested yourself even earlier than that, it's just as likely that what you measured is simply a normal variation in hormone production; your early positives may mean you have two more babies on the way (certainly more common among older mothers anyway), or they may mean that you have just one. The only thing for sure right now is that you're pregnant."

Taken from the www.

I had v strong early positives. All singleton pregnancies.

emsyj · 11/04/2016 16:41

I had the Mirena. I had it out on 22nd Jan, had a short bleed (was expecting a flood after 2 years of no periods but it was quite light) then a period at the start of March. I used to have very long 6week cycles so I guess this means I conceived on my second cycle after removal.

Jod1985 · 11/04/2016 16:16

emsyj congratulations!!! Also which coil did you have? You haven't had a period yet after having it removed?

Yasziieboo · 11/04/2016 15:31

When I fell pregnant over 3 years ago I tested 2 dark lines and found out I was 13 weeks pregnant. But congratulations though!

emsyj · 11/04/2016 15:06

Is the high hcg level a good sign that it wont be a chemical or is it totally insignificant?
