Thread for anyone TTC for over ten months. Please feel free to join us!

Took the liberty of starting a new thread (with what is obviously a brilliant piece of rhyme!) as I assume everyone else is sleeping peacefully right now :)

Ah OK well I hope you are! Might need some moral support for the injections lol. I don't know what my AMH is? Hmm! How do they check?

loopylou1984 · 01/05/2016 18:23

Itsme - I could be. I don't know if we'll be going with the beginning of June or the end of June yet. Xx

Itsme247 · 01/05/2016 18:18

I know! I've been on this thread for it feels like months and months, soon it'll be all over one way or another! Will anyone be cycling with me? Sorry to hear that Brenna x

stealthbanana · 01/05/2016 16:46

And isit fantastic news about finally getting started!

stealthbanana · 01/05/2016 16:46

Sorry to hear that brenna. At least you can get things moving now xx

lucieloos · 01/05/2016 15:10

Ahh so sorry Brenna it's really hard. Like you say at least your body is efficient at clearing out unlike mine. I think if a miscarriage is going to happen then that's the best way for it to clear out quickly and naturally. What sort of tests will you have done now? Immunes?

Brenna24 · 01/05/2016 14:30

This morning's test was a BFN so that should be everything complete now. All have to do is phone the Dr tomorrow and get the referral process underway. At least my body seems to be efficient at clearing out.

lucieloos · 01/05/2016 14:27

Yea definitely x

loopylou1984 · 01/05/2016 12:50

Ah I see! My AMH was 19 somaybd that's why a lower dose. Xx

lucieloos · 01/05/2016 12:46

I started on 225 Menopur I think it depends on your AMH probably.

loopylou1984 · 01/05/2016 12:10

I was on 150 menopur too. I think that's the normal starting point.
Excited for you itsme! Xx

lucieloos · 01/05/2016 10:19

150iu is quite a low dose. I wonder why they have started you on that. Icsi is good especially if you have male factor. We have always had great fertilisation with it.

Itsme247 · 01/05/2016 10:08

Oh and we're going 150 of menopur and ICSI - I assume to make sure we get as many fertilised as possible as not likely going to get a bumper crop...

lucieloos · 01/05/2016 10:06

That's great itsme, what is your AMH? On a stimulated cycle I normally only get around 8-10 follicles show up. It's not a bad number if most of them grow evenly but unfortunately mine don't nowadays. On our first egg collection we got 7 eggs so maybe you might be somewhere along those lines although it's impossible to tell as you might find with stimulation that a few more follicles pop up.

Itsme247 · 01/05/2016 09:47

Yep too excited! I had my first dildocam to count the follies- he said I don't have very many (still in normal range) but prob won't be at risk of OHSS and saw my follicle for this month at 15mm, got told to go home and get busy just in case! It's so real now I'm so pleased we are on our way! What is normal range? How many should I be expecting? I think he counted around 8?

lucieloos · 01/05/2016 08:49

Itsme, that's great news bet you can't wait tot get going! Haha yes the pessaries are a pain but worth it if you manage to get pregnant.

Sammy, that's brilliant about your af. Really hope the acupuncture is working wonders for you. I really do think it helped me during my treatment.

Itsme247 · 01/05/2016 08:27

Hi all, just an update from me. I'll be starting my long protocol in early June, hopefully transfer wil be first week of July. Apparently if you do get pregnant you've got to do those pessaries three times a day for ten weeks!! My knickers will be ruined!

loopylou1984 · 30/04/2016 17:33

Lucie - glad you're ok :)

Maple I'm glad the hycosy was alright, and fx you're the statistic who falls pg really quickly after having it.

I'm not sure if it's the Accupuncture, the diet changes or the liquid iron I've been taking. But AF is much more substantial this month. First time since coming off the pill! Please let this mean my linkng was thick and juicy! Xx

stealthbanana · 29/04/2016 20:00

Thanks lovely x

lucieloos · 29/04/2016 19:59

Thanks stealth. Hope all is well with you and have a good weekend too.

stealthbanana · 29/04/2016 19:50

Well that's the main thing - that there's no risk to you. Hopefully you can relax just a teeny bit and enjoy the long weekend x

lucieloos · 29/04/2016 19:36

Stealth, I'm not sure really. I guess there's a chance it's in the uterus but if it was she thought it would have come out by now with the bleeding but then banana has had a similar problem although I guess her hcg was dropping albeit slowly. I have no idea really. She doesn't think it will be any risk to me though whether it's in the uterus or not as it's so small so not likely to cause any damage anywhere.

stealthbanana · 29/04/2016 18:57

Ah lucie sounds like it was a good consult. Bit scary that there might be a bit of something hanging around outside. I don't suppose there's any chance that it's still in the uterus but too small to see like banana's was? Anyway, sounds like you have a good plan, & I'm glad you're feeling comfortable with it.

brenna v v glad the bleeding has stopped.

Happy weekends all!

lucieloos · 29/04/2016 14:25

Hi there, saw a really lovely doctor today who understood how we felt about everything and how hard it is emotionally. She said although the numbers have gone up because the levels are so low and they haven't really gone up much she would class the level as stable at the moment and because the levels are so low the risk to me is minimal. She said there is probably a tiny bit of tissue left somewhere which is throwing out a bit of hormone. She does think it is located elsewhere as she thinks if it was in the uterus it probably would have come out by now. She said basically they are relying on my immune system to recognise it and attack it now to get rid of it and then it will dissolve back although I've had those intralipids to lower my immune system so maybe it might take a bit longer than normal as the reason I took those was to stop my body attacking the embryo!! Anyway she has said as my levels as stable there's no point me having to go back and forth there every couple of days as she knows how hard that must be so she has said whilst taking that methotrexate is probably what they would recommend as would just get rid of it once and for all she has said to try and forget about it for now and get on with our lives and then go back in another 10 days for another blood test. We are fairly happy with that. Whilst it's a pain hanging over us even if we had the injection we would be hanging around for at least 3 months before we could do anything else so I suppose we may as well hang around doing this for a bit and see if it does resolve itself.

Maple, glad your hycosy went ok and everything was clear. Hope you get lucky this month after your tubes have been flushed out.

Brenna, glad the bleeding has stopped. Really hope everything is ok for you. I'm not sure a pregnancy test would be negative though even if the worst had happened judging by mine and bananas experiences so not sure that will be the most accurate way to tell?

maplebaby · 29/04/2016 14:12

Hi all, sorry I have been AWOL! Looks like I have a lot to catch up on!

itsme hope the smear results come back with good news!

star I like your way of thinking - yes, of course I'm being totally selfless by thinking that way!!

sammy urgh I'm so sorry about the baby bomb. I know how you feel - everyone I've spoken to who has got pregnant the whole time I've been trying all got pregnant very quickly. Please don't feel lonely - you have all of us to speak to!

stealth wow! what a drop - like you said sounds like its nothing to worry about and they don't seem too concerned about it... lunchtime bum bullets Shock

brenna I am so sorry Flowers and for the ill timed baby bomb...that was brave of you to be able to congratulate and smile.

banana glad the hysto went well - next appt is 2 weeks? Hope it goes quickly for you and hormones etc normal!

lucie what's going on?? Did they have an explanation at all?? I hope you don't have to have that injection.. hope your appointment goes ok.

AFM I had my Hycosy this morning - suppositories not as bad as I thought! The whole procedure was fine too - no way near as bad as I thought and only felt a little bit crampy when they pushed the fluid / dye through. Had a lovely gush on the way home! Tubes all looked normal - they let me take a snap of the 3D ultrasound which I sent to DH (he couldn't come) who said it looked like an alien elephant! I'm now going to make him have a DTD marathon this month. We normally try EOD but this month I'm aiming for every day.. I heard the Hyscosy can "flush you out"... I'm clinging on to any possibility that it might have made me "more fertile"!!

What are everyone's plans for the bank holiday??
