Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here because you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2531973-Christmas-is-here-but-its-not-the-turkey-thats-getting-basted-with-symptoms-to-spot-and-festive-cheer-Prty-and-the-gang-are-getting-BFPS-this-year?pg=39&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.
  4. This thread is intended for support - both giving and receiving. If someone helps you then please be kind and return that to another TTCer.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all of my lovelies xx

Hello Hippy and Kitten. I check in every now and then but very conscious that I don't want to upset anyone by being here so haven't posted in ages. I think of you regularly and always have my fingers crossed for you all... I am truly sorry that so many of you are having a rough ride.

I'm 23 weeks now and harbouring Little Girl Flowers.

Huge hugs to all the original gang - Kitten, Hippy, Glitter, Prty, Snowie, Prisy, Neetie and Bex. Much love and light to you all xxxx

MrsKittenPie · 14/07/2016 21:46

hippy - being relaxed and going with it sounds like a good way to be. I'm trying to be like that but it's hard. I really do hope for you still.
Yes where are the original members hippy mentioned?!
Sorry if I've missed lots whilst I've been away. Welcome to newbies

MrsKittenPie · 14/07/2016 21:42

Hi hippy - lovely to hear from you. I've been quiet for ages - had a bad time recently, lots of baby bombs and have given up really. Went back to doctors and was told I can't have any help as I've got ds so it's been hard to deal with

hippybird · 12/07/2016 23:38

Hi everyone! I'm an old poster, and just checked in to see how everyone's doing... Karry congratulations! I'm hoping the spotting has stopped? I'm just wondering where some of the old/original posters from this thread are, no offence to new posters - welcome to one and all! - just concerned everyone is ok... prty neetie pirsy flowers kitten snowy...ummm, loads more I'm forgetting I'm sure! If any of you are out there, and read this, do say "hi!". Prty especially, as the founding member of this group.
For those of me that remember me, I'm still in the "given up" phase. Just relaxing, seeing what happens, and not worrying about it. The one thing I might do is get any tests I can do, then I just want to let nature take it's course. And if it happens it happens, if not, I am thankful I have been blessed with my DS (now 9).
Ella xx

I'm back at the clinic on the 18th so I'll ask for a retest then :) 50mg took my level down to 0.47 (!) in a month...so we went to 25mg and it was below 2 at last check. But I wasn't preggo then so you're right I should go back.

I use a highly scientific peppa pig kids thermometer from Superdrug Blush lol. How about sticking it under your pillow? I got quite good at doing it while half asleep!

Good news about the test appointment x

TMI26 · 09/07/2016 20:41

Hey karry absolutely no offence caused, we are all on this thread hoping and praying to become mothers, hearing some good news brings life to this thread and saves the depressing talks!! If anything it's nice to have someone to ask Q to who has been through it, and I am very pleased for you.... my thyroid was 7 (ideal for pregnancy is below 2) after 2 months of 25mg it reduced to 4.5 however the third doctor I saw said 25mg was a tiny amount and the impact is very low last month it was increased to 50mg and I'm starting to feel the difference, I have read that you should increase your thyroxine dosage when you are pregnant most women have it doubled so might be worth speaking to your consultant again?

My husbands test appointment came through on Tuesday - 17th of August!!!! 1.5 months after it was requested. I'm trying just to relax about it and let the increased dosage take its effect, I've started temperature reading but I keep forgetting to do it in the morning!!!!! It's a babymad themometre what is everyone else using?

karryk · 09/07/2016 14:22

I'm on 25mg at the mo which is a fairly low dose. Need to get retested soon though.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I had some brownish red spotting on Thursday evening which totally floored me, ended up crying and dh skipped watching the footie to sit with me while I dribbled snot over his shoulder. Blush

Went away on Friday only to return today albeit much browner so I'm praying it's just old blood from the bean burrowing in.

Only time will tell. Funny how you spend ages wanting to get the positive test only to then kick off a whole new series of worries!

Was supposed to go to my cousin's baby shower tomorrow but have explained to her sister why i can't go and she was understanding.

Just as an aside I wanted to insert a little apology if I upset anyone by sticking in a picture of the positive test the other week. No one has said I did but I'm feeling a bit reckless for having done so - so much love and hugs to anyone who saw it and wanted to stab me with a chopstick Grin xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm spending the rest of the day eating crisps and looking at furniture for the new house! :)

TMI26 · 05/07/2016 08:18

It's causing me not to ovulate so looking into solutions once DHs tests come back, I know HT suffers are more susceptible to MC but have read many success stories, have you increased your levothyroxine mg? I've read they may give me clomid To induce ovulation, Hope this is the success you needed and you have a healthy pregnancy!

TMI26 · 05/07/2016 08:15

Oh really? That's very sad :( I have hypothyroidism too which is what is causing the delay...its c

karryk · 05/07/2016 07:14

Hi Tmi :)

I'm not planning on going to see my doctor for a while yet. Mr S will do scans every two weeks until about 16 weeks (or something like that). Plus I have to take steroids and have monthly intralipids by iv for 4 months. Very expensive but worth it for the peace of mind. I believe if everything is okay he then releases you back to the nhs. If everything goes well I'll probably go and see my doctor after the 12 week scan.

In my case, I went to see the consultant because I suspected my chemical pregnancy and missed miscarriage weren't just down to chance. That combined with my age meant I didn't want to just keep trying without being checked out. It turns out I have subclinical hypothyroidism as well as an immune system issue which only kicks in when pregnant (my body kills off pregnancies, thinking it's a disease/invasion). There's a whole thread of ladies going through a similar treatment :)

TMI26 · 05/07/2016 00:22

For me too UpTheTree, af begun today, two months late! Expecting DHs SA at some point this week/next week too so we can exchange notes, hope all is okay as dealing with problems for both of us is going to be even more difficult to get our BFP. I purchased a basal thermometer today so going to start temping when it arrives as i don't think I'm ovulating properly due to the thyroid.

Upthetree100 · 04/07/2016 20:24

Glad it's moving along for you TMI

AF has well and truly kicked in now so onto another cycle for me.
On the plus side DH's SA is booked in this week so that's something to look forward to, me more than him I'm guessing Hmm

TMI26 · 04/07/2016 18:31

The last one had me in tears so pleased this one was taking me seriously and doing what she could to make life easier.

Karry k, when do you see a doctor and also what do you the no the private consultant done for you to help you in your journey? Be honest how many times have you POAS Wink

karryk · 04/07/2016 17:01

Hello and welcome upthetree! :)

That's good TMI - it's always heartening when you come across a proactive doctor that actually does something helpful! Best of luck x

TMI26 · 04/07/2016 10:20

Just got back from the docs, and for the first time the DR was lovely she's a newbie and combined our appointment despite them being at different times, she also said I didn't need to wait a whole other cycle to test progesterone and she would use the old results as they were clearly too low, husband is in he process of being tested - she booked us in there and then on he spot to ensure we are the ones she sees again appointment expected in 2.5 weeks to review my fresh set of bloods and hubbys testing, fx all is okay...

TMI26 · 03/07/2016 16:15

Welcome up the tree....yes I have tested, many times I am definitely not pregnant, no feeling of pregnancy or positives, also...I don't think I ovulated at all this month have a check up on Monday so not going to leave the room until they refer me as its been over a year!!!!

Upthetree100 · 03/07/2016 15:19

Hi All, wondering if I can join? Posted in another thread before I found you.
I'm 27 ttc#1 for ages 3ish years on and off and recently been diagnosed with PCOS. Spotting at cd24 HATE when I spot - hand holding needed. Does brown spotting (with clotting) indicate a problem? I'm done with obsessive google searching Sad

Congratulations karryk!! Flowers

garden I'm pleased your dye test went well. I completely understand the feeling of fluctuating emotions, quietly sad is me at the moment.

snowy not sure which opk you use but I struggle with the cheap strips and I've been thinking of buying a digi next cycle, they may be more accurate?

tmi have you tested? Hope there's some improvement for you soon.

FX for you all Flowers

TMI26 · 03/07/2016 03:15

Congratulations Karry very pleased for you :) about time this thread got some good news...keep us posted on progress hope everything goes smoothly...that's interesting because I have been told I may have low progesterone too...although they don't really do anything about it tbh, I have an appointment on Monday to discuss my 3nd progesterone test so let's see what they say, it's now been 2 months since my last period, never thought I would be saying this but I hope af arrives soon so we can get started again :(

karryk · 02/07/2016 12:45

Hello gardendreamer :)

So glad to hear it all went okay! I've read stories online about how the procedure can help 'clean' things up and encourage fertilisation (don't know the science of it!) so fingers and toes crossed for you!

I did a normal test on Thursday which was a day after af was due and got a nice line! Phew!

Now to sit tight. I have an early scan at 7 weeks on the 18th so no doubt I'll be petrified before that but for now I feel calm. Very gassy (!) and slightly sore boobs but I'm on steroids which can mask pregnancy symptoms so the nausea is very low level thus far. :)

Tmi - the pessaries were prescribed by the private consultant I'm seeing, I think it's just to help give a bit of a progesterone boost...I've never actually had my progesterone tested to be honest although I did get pre-menstrual spotting which can be a symptom of it being low.

Wishing everyone a lovely sunny weekend xx

Hi guys how are you all? Sorry I have been away for such a while, we decided to cool things off for a bit. Hubby now has a new perm job as do I so we have started trying again. Just about going into tww as this weekend was ovulation time so crossing fingers now.

GardenDreamer · 29/06/2016 13:47

Ps Karry,
How did it go on Monday?

GardenDreamer · 29/06/2016 13:46

Hi Karryk ! And others who've sent support - thanks for support regarding the fallopian x-ray, you were right, it was ok! - can I just reassure anyone who might have to have one that it's TOTALLY fine. I forgot to take painkillers beforehand and I just didn't need them - it's very quick.
It's good because you can see on the screen immediately what's happening and in my case the liquid just went right through immediately as it should (hooray!!)
It is a slightly weird experience - there's things I would have preferred to be doing obviously - but it's just totally fine (and quite interesting to see these unseen parts of anatomy!!). I felt very little - I was worried about the thin tube going into the cervix but I didn't notice a thing, didn't notice it at all - and I was on full alert and nervous so I was surprised that it was so easy. I didn't cramp as they say you can - there was a slightly weird feeling as the liquid went in but I barely felt it and it was all done and sorted in about 10 minutes. In fact one of the nurses was talking to me about stuff in general and had they not said what they were doing (with the liquid) I would have been distracted enough by the talking and not have noticed it whatsoever.
So worry not if it's on the cards - it's honestly a doddle. Quick and simple.

I'm so pleased to see some good news on this thread - glad some luck is coming in!

As this test had to be done in my fertile time, it means this month is out for trying - I was hideously annoyed about this last week but actually it now feels like a break and a holiday from it, which feels good this week (although when period arrives I'll probably feel worse - but next month trying can start again)

Good luck again to all - I totally feel the frustrations going down with you all - agh! If I could pass on some calm I would - I know it's not easy at all - it's awful, really awful at times - I fluctuate between total anger and deep-seated raging frustration when I'm at my lowest, then other days I think it's best to enjoy distractions and remember to have a life - we're all still trying to make the most of every day we have as living, breathing people I guess - and when the sun is out or there's good work to do it's quite a blessed relief to have happy distractions - so I wish that for all of you! (It's bloomin hard to do that - I know) Enjoying everyday as it is is good in so many ways, and we all deserve to strive for happy days, every day.
Blah blah blah!!!
Biggest hugs to all in the happiness and the frustration x

TMI26 · 29/06/2016 00:25

I am on cycle day 54 is this ever going to end???

snowy1982 · 27/06/2016 11:16

Karryk that sounds really promising

snowy1982 · 27/06/2016 11:15

TMI so far no one has discussed anything with me.

Took a OPK this morning, it was negative but now I am having my usual telltale ovulation pains, don't know what to think
