Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here because you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2531973-Christmas-is-here-but-its-not-the-turkey-thats-getting-basted-with-symptoms-to-spot-and-festive-cheer-Prty-and-the-gang-are-getting-BFPS-this-year?pg=39&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.
  4. This thread is intended for support - both giving and receiving. If someone helps you then please be kind and return that to another TTCer.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all of my lovelies xx

Prty you def deserved that wine! I hope you enjoyed it.

Hippy its lovely to hear from you! I wish I could relax and not obsess. I think that is a good strategy. I also dont want to spend the next however many years in a state of misery over TTC.

Ninja sorry about AF!

Poppy that is awful about your appointment. Maybe raise it when you go?

I have the familiar pelvic heaviness that tells me AF is coming. Probably tomorrow - as expected. Think I might have a meltdown this month. Ive been really good but just so sick of it now.

theneonninja · 25/04/2016 19:29

So sorry to hear about your appointment glitter it's infuriating that they have had to reschedule already! I'm sure they just hope that people get just get pregnant in the meantime.

In ninja news, AF finally arrived at CD43! Onto cycle 5 for me now! Meah!

snowy1982 · 25/04/2016 19:18

Just back from a nice relaxing night away with DH and with both of us still dosed with the cold we definitely needed it.

Prty you def deserve a blow out, we all do from time to time.

Glitter the wait for a hospital appointment is almost as infuriating as the TWW, I keep trying to chase it with my GP and he just says once he has sent the letter to the hospital it's out of his hand (I believe him though as he is generally a very helpful man).

FW starts tomorrow, although with both me and DH still ill and we both have very busy weeks ahead, I'm not holding out much hope this time round, but we'll try to DTD as much as we can anyway and just see what happens

glitterpoppy · 25/04/2016 15:36

Hi hippy lovely to hear from you.

I'm so upset, had another letter from the hospital and they have rescheduled my appointment to 4th July!!! They have no patient care skills at all.. Rang them and they are just saying they have so many calls about it and they can't do anything!
Anyone know much about paying privately? If we had the tests done private would any treatments need to be paid for privately too?

hippybird · 25/04/2016 14:07

prty you deserve a blowout!! Hope you've enjoyed it. I'm crossing my fingers you get the docs sorted, and you can get those second bloods done at the right time!
X

hippybird · 25/04/2016 14:05

I won't respond individually, as we all know I'm prone to the long posts Grin, but suffice to say I'm sending hugs and support to all of you on here that are still going through the TTC journey, and I'm crossing my fingers for you that your FW, TWW, Drs appts, hospital apps etc are all going well.

I've basically just taken the last 3 cycles off. For those of you that remember, the last time I got my AF whilst visiting my sister, I just felt like I couldn't take the pressure of it all any more. And so I stopped temping, we've been much less frequent, and deliberately not in my fertile week (although did DTD once this last cycle in FW). To be honest, I'm not sure that it's going to happen for us, and I don't want to waste these years when our DS is growing up (nearly 10!!), and am still relatively young, worrying to a ridiculous extent about something that might not happen. We will obviously carry on DTD unprotected, and who knows... But I am just not going to obsess over it any more.

I will still lurk here, and probably do a check in (long!) post every now and again. Plus, I'm still rooting for you all, especially all you from 3 boards back, like me - prty, Pirsy, snowy, mummybex, neetie, kitten, glitter and any of you I've missed out. Plus all you newbies too of course! This summer I will have been on this thread (inc old boards) for a year. And it's been so great having the support of you all. Sorry, getting a bit sentimental...

Anyway, sorry for ANOTHER long post. Typical, eh? Bet you've not missed that!

hippybird · 25/04/2016 13:53

Hi all! Big wave! I've not been posting I know, but lurking still.,

Welcome to all the nwbies! I'm actually an oldie, just not been here all that often.

Stats:
TTC #2 (DS 9YO)
Age: 39 (eek!)
TTC: it's complicated. Had Mirena removed 2 years ago. Have been trying on and off since then. Some months of that time have definitely not been trying, and either not DTD at right time, or not at all if OH was away. But basically, have been trying long enough.
Cycle length 25 days. Ovulate CD 10 or thereabouts.
Currently CD 18.

PrtyPsn · 24/04/2016 17:50

Hi all.
Apologies for the lack of posts. Had a melt down mid fertile window... there's only so many baby bombs and BFN and everlasting TWWs a girl can take, right?
Feeling the guilt because I basically spent 2 days doing all the things I try not to - earring pate, drinking caffeine, even sunk a bottle of wine or three...
I blame it on passing the year mark plus the realisation that my 21 day test is booked in wrong & my real 21 day is Sunday with the Monday being a bank hol :(

*Chase not gaze

glitterpoppy · 24/04/2016 12:19

Sorry to hear pirsy, you never know though.. Your not out yet until she shows!!

My first appointment at the hospital was 8th Feb and she said I'd go back to discuss all my results in 3 months, I tried to book the appointment there and then but the lady waved me off and said they'd send me a letter. I tried ringing to gaze it up and explain I was feeling very anxious for waiting so long and they basically told me I just had to wait and then this letter arrived yesterday. I'm going to try phoning Monday but im not holding out much hope with the way they've been so far!!

MummyBex1985 · 24/04/2016 12:17

I think I'll probably end up going private - our local hospital runs all the female fertility tests for around £250, which isn't bad when you're impatient like me and can't wait three months for results

Sorry so many of you are fed up. The last two cycles I've been obsessing but I'm strangely calm this time, probably because I've had no symptoms to obsess over and I think I didn't OV anyway.

I've also run out of ICs which probably helps

Pirsy1 · 24/04/2016 11:32

Ninja sorry about the BFN! Maybe an anovulatory cycle? I hope AF shows soon so you can move onto the next cycle.

Poppy that does seem a very long wait. It sounds like your local area is quite disorganised. Was your first appointment at the hospital? I can't understand why they wouldn't just make your follow up appointment there and then. Can you ring up and try and get a cancellation?

I think I'm out this month. Feeling tearful, tired and headachy. These are pre-AF symptoms for me. Fed up!

glitterpoppy · 24/04/2016 08:10

Exactly ninja by the time I go for the results it will have been 7 months since I went for my first appointment at the doctors about it!

theneonninja · 23/04/2016 22:55

The wait for your appointments seems crazy. You would think that as they normally won't even entertain the idea of tests until you've been trying for an age anyway that things would start happening quite quickly once they start.

glitterpoppy · 23/04/2016 16:48
  • meant to say (in a funny sense)
glitterpoppy · 23/04/2016 16:47

Sorry to hear you're poorly snowy makes me feel better you're waiting too (in stubby sense) as was thinking it was just me waiting for months and months! I haven't been able to forget it and have been mad all day! I can totally understand why people pay private with waiting times like this.. I just wish I could afford it Sad

snowy1982 · 23/04/2016 15:49

Oh, and exam was crappy and still dosed with the cold Sad

snowy1982 · 23/04/2016 15:48

I know the feeling glitter, I am still waiting on my referral appointment. GP sent the letter in December, said wouldn't get our referral appointment until my bloods and DH SA were done. My bloods were done in January and DH had SA almost 2 months ago and still no appointment through

glitterpoppy · 23/04/2016 11:29

Hi all.. Finally got my appointment through from the hospital. 27th June!!!! I'm absolutely livid.. I was meant to be seen after 3 months to discuss all our results as they couldn't discuss before hand even though I'd chased and now I'm waiting nearly 5! It's absolutely ridiculous that the NHS would leave you so long!

theneonninja · 23/04/2016 10:07

Tested again this morning and still BFN. Even OH is getting concerned about what's going on with my body now!

Pirsy1 · 23/04/2016 08:36

Good luck snowy!!

Keep us updated ninja. Fingers crossed for you.

Kitten if in doubt DTD. I have gone back to ovulation sticks because then once Ive ovulated I can let DH off the hook.

Im just waiting to see if AF is going to show up. Expecting it Weds or maybe Thurs. No spotting yet but dont get that every cycle so dont think thats really a positive sign.

MrsKittenPie · 23/04/2016 08:26

snowy - good luck with the exam today and hope your cold is better.
pirsy - glad your appointment went well and it all sounds very thorough.
ninja - are you testing today?
I think I'm in FW - no idea if I've ovulated yet or not. How's my cycle buddie prty?!

theneonninja · 22/04/2016 22:31

I might be bulk buying cheapies at this rate. Just downloaded Ovia after realising Kindara wasn't coping with my cycles. She had a bit of a fit when I input all my data and she realised that my last cycle was 28 days any yet in now on CD40! Now getting me all hopeful telling me I'm late (O approx 19 days ago) and that we DTD at the right time so fingers crossed!

Get better soon snowy

snowy1982 · 22/04/2016 07:21

Sorry for being AWOL, have an exam on Saturday and also dosed with the cold, but I am checking in and keeping with everyone

PrtyPsn · 22/04/2016 07:10

ninja bulk but cheapies from Amazon or eBay - it's the only way to get through this haha!
