Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here because you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2531973-Christmas-is-here-but-its-not-the-turkey-thats-getting-basted-with-symptoms-to-spot-and-festive-cheer-Prty-and-the-gang-are-getting-BFPS-this-year?pg=39&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.
  4. This thread is intended for support - both giving and receiving. If someone helps you then please be kind and return that to another TTCer.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all of my lovelies xx

It's easily done hippy bird, I have to keep reminding myself with DD3 I completely forgot I was meant to have a period and she went un noticed for over a week, that's how reliable symptoms are.

snowy1982 · 05/05/2016 10:13

Loving the positivity Hippy

hippybird · 05/05/2016 09:34

Hi all - just to say, AF arrived this morning. CD28, which is late for me! Maybe I'm regulating a bit now? Anyway, it's a relief in a way. Was frustrated with myself for getting all caught up again. Anyway, this sunshine is so cheering. Hooray!! X

MrsKittenPie · 04/05/2016 21:33

prty - I feel unpregnant too, rubbish isn't it. Fingers crossed though lovely.
hippy - love your epic posts! Sorry to hear you're in confusion like that. Our bodies definitely know when to do that to us. I'm really hoping for you too though - maybe just will be a late BFP for you

Pisssssedofff · 04/05/2016 15:27

Gosh my tits feel massive today. Am hoping it's not just fatness 😆

snowy1982 · 04/05/2016 15:26

Hippy it's not that I want to be going by the most natural way, it was that when I was using OPK it was that I thought the pains coincided with the positive days so often that it was a waste to POAS as well. Generally the way it worked for me was The morning of CD13 I got my first peak fertility smiley face (I used the CB OPKs that gave up to 2 high and 2 peak days although I always had 1 high then got my peak), pains would generally start that afternoon and CD14 should have been a peak day as well - although my over anayltical brain is getting the better of me and although the OPK are supposed to give 2 peak days, you can't test after the first peak day so what if I only have 1 peak day??... and going by that long winded answer the crazy has most definitely begun, I think this is going to be a looong TWW Smile

hippybird · 04/05/2016 15:12

Hi all!
a message from my lurking...
Pirsy I'm really glad to hear things are moving forwards for you. Remember, everyone has a different journey for that BFP, there is no right or wrong way.
Snowy OV pain signs are confusing. I get why you want to use the most natural way of figuring out when you're ovulating. Looking back to when you were OPKing, can you match up with that, and tell when?
Prty and Kitten, ooh, the dreaded DBAF wait. It's awful. Good luck, and really hope this is the time for you! Kitten if AF has been a no show, that BFN could still just be a test that was too early.
I'm really frustrated, because after saying I wasn't going to fret about things any more, I'm late, by at least 2 days, according to my most regular time to come on. I would normally get AF on CD25 (did the last 4 cycle), but today is CD27, and not a glimpse of AF, and 2 BFNs (yesterday and today). I genuinely was in the mindset of "it won't happen, I'm fine with that, I'm just going to get on with my life", and the first cycle I do that, I get a long cycle to get me all wondering again. Then again, maybe it's long because I'm relaxed... Anyway, typically long post, don't know how you all keep them so short! I'll keep you updated, and will be lurking and following those of you at the due/testing stage! xx

PrtyPsn · 04/05/2016 14:35

kitten no testing yet, due Monday-ish. Feeling decidedly unpregnant :(

MrsKittenPie · 04/05/2016 12:32

pirsy - am glad you're referral is moving on, I think I would feel the same as you with the mixed emotions but just think you could be pregnant soon - how exciting! I've seen quite a few ladies on the other boards who have been trying for a while get pregnant with IVF so it does work well.
BFN here again today - I'm CD28 and cycles are 28-31 days usually. I'm sick of it. I just know my body is torturing me making me hope like this, it's a very cruel trick. prty cycle twin - how are you doing? Better than me I hope x

PrtyPsn · 03/05/2016 22:31

Interesting question TMI most lubricants except your own CM tends to hinder sperm, I guess saliva works the same way? Personally, I'd avoid during FW just in case but I'm overly cautious and after over a year of TTC I won't do anything that could harm my chances... just in case

OP posts:
TMI26 · 03/05/2016 22:21

So I'm going to be true to my name....Does anyone know whether oral sex should be avoided during ovulating days...to be honest it's the only way I orgasm and we do it more often than not....I read somewhere it can slow the sperm down? Do you think this should be avoided. ?

TMI26 · 03/05/2016 22:09

I've never experienced ovulation pains :/ I think the answer to your problem snowy is regular DTD during the whole period, overthinking it will stress you out and not help the situation

snowy1982 · 03/05/2016 22:06

So I have been trying to learn a bit more about ovulation pains, since the pains and EWM are my main tools for TTC. Have been trying to find out whether they signal that OV is about to happen, is happening or has already happened (my pains generally start mid to late afternoon and last until the next morning and I try to DTD a few hours after they start). Well it turns out there are 3 types of OV pain, pre, during and post. How on earth are you supposed to tell which pain it is and therefore when to DTD... the longer the TTC process goes on and the more I read about it I wonder how anyone actually manages to get pregnant at all

TMI26 · 03/05/2016 22:03

Pirsy, positive indeed IVF will significantly increase your chances....it is really tough to be referred nowadays so Smile have you had your blood tests etc...what did they say about your hormone levels...?

snowy1982 · 03/05/2016 20:46

That is pretty quick moving Pirsy, you'll have your BFP in no time Smile

Pirsy1 · 03/05/2016 20:41

Yes you're all right! It is a step closer to having our baby. Good thing is that things seem to move pretty quickly here. Husband has exams in June so hopefully will be looking at July / August. Think will try and have a bit of counselling too beforehand so that Im ok mentally going into it. Xx

PrtyPsn · 03/05/2016 20:27

And there they go again! *the day I was born!!
Maybe they are fatter than usual... is it a symptom?!

OP posts:
PrtyPsn · 03/05/2016 20:27

snowy if it was then I've been pregnant since they say I was born pahaha!!

OP posts:
snowy1982 · 03/05/2016 19:36

I misread that there Prty and thought you were saying fat fingers is a symptom Grin

Pirsy I understand your feeling re IVF but as Prty says it's a step closer to BFP which is what this is all about, doesn't matter how we get there as long as we do Smile

PrtyPsn · 03/05/2016 19:16

Oooo keep us updated nicnac

OP posts:
nicnacnew · 03/05/2016 19:02

11dpo, got a very faint positive last night so fingers crossed.

PrtyPsn · 03/05/2016 18:06

Fat fingers Blush anything that's not usual for you can be a symptom!

OP posts:
PrtyPsn · 03/05/2016 18:06

TMI don't feel silly, we've all been there, lovely xx still time to go yet so FXd
pirsy good news about IVF - one step closer to that BFP :)
nicnac hi! Yeah, I guess it could be, I think anything that's not udu for you can be a sumptom'

OP posts:
Pirsy1 · 03/05/2016 17:31

Sorry about the BFN TMI. I think it's too early to say you're out yet though.

Nicnac I think lack of your usual AF symptoms could be a sign of pregnancy. How many DPO are you?

Fingers crossed snowy! Plus holiday planning sounds brill.

We ended up going for our follow up appointment today - got a cancellation. We are being referred for IVF, just got to see if we get funding. Mixed emotions, happy in a way that we are moving forward, but also sad that we need IVF if you know what I mean.

TMI26 · 03/05/2016 17:10

I'm such an idiot, I couldn't help myself I went out and bought a prgnancy test ....eventhough I still have six days to go....I was convinced I must be..... Anyway I tested with a BFN...feel silly now
