So AF got me this afternoon!! Trying not to get down in the dumps (although I just watched 'one born every minute' on catch-up and sobbed!)
Dusting myself off and hoping for better luck in April! A few stats:
Age-33
TTC-5th cycle
DC-1 DS (3.5 years old)
Anyone else at the start of their cycle and trying something new in the hope of a more successful month?!

Hi summer I'm cd25 and due af on Wednesday, we dtd every other day during what I thought was fertile week but sure it didn't work so just waiting af and then starting with opks! Sounds like you are gearing up for a busy few days of dtd Grin fingers crossed you catch the egg.

Parney your line getting darker is really positive.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Parney · 24/04/2016 12:10

Mine went from faint on CD 11 to positive the following day! So you're lucky if you're getting a gradual warning! Good luck getting busy Wink

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 12:08

Hi Parney,

Yes, the line below the test line was visible but not as dark as the test line. The instructions I have suggest that if this line is darker then you are ovulating. I will add to ovia. Either way, I'm catching that egg!!! :-) xx

Parney · 24/04/2016 12:03

Sorry I'be confused myself, the pregnancy line was darker than the test.
Summer you should put the results in to Ovia and it should become more accurate.

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 11:58

Thanks January :-) I'm from Northampton:-) not too far from you:-)
I've done an ov test strip today and the line below test line is a lot more visible. Although not darker, but I think it's because I'm just about to going into the ov window. Ovia is good, but I think it calculated my ov date incorrectly. The ov test strips I got suggested I would ovulate from day 12! And that's tomorrow! I got a huge pack of these tests so doing the test daily doesn't matter as there are plenty in the pack and you won't run out.

Where are you in your cycle? Xx

Parney · 24/04/2016 11:52

Hi Summer, I use Ovia, but they change my fertile days depending on OPKs. We have no DC yet, so it's all very exciting.
No more symptoms, cramping is worrying me though, comes and goes and can be quite painful. I tested again last night on a clear blue non digi and the test line was darker than the control.
Tee are you next? I can't wait to see more pics!

january29 · 24/04/2016 11:47

Welcome summer! I'm using ovia, going to be putting in opks this month to give it more info.

We are ttc first baby, both 31 and so want it to happen, the waiting is hard! I'm from Essex, would be so lovely to meet up, I'm not talking to anyone except dh and coming to talk to you is helping me to share stuff.

Tee think you are next to test, how are you feeling today?

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 11:35

*last AF not lady 🙈

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 11:35

Hi Nimisha,
I'm cd11 at the mo. If you work it from first day of your lady af then cd11 for me. I've also downloaded an app called ovia. Anyone using that?

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 11:32

Thanks Jod1, Tee and Sucha,

It's just nice to share the experience with someone as I'm not speaking to anyone else about it other than DH.

Plan of action; I'm just going to get as busy as possible for the next 8-10 days. That way I've covered the fertile window and some. I've read that every other day is good as daily reduces the quality of sperm. But I'm just going to make sure every day is covered. That way if it fails, I will try every other day on next cycle.

Awwwwwww wishing you all lots of luck and let's keep each other posted:-) xxxx

Nimisha · 24/04/2016 11:19

Welcome summer, what CD are you?

I have two children, 6 and nearly 5. I always knew I wanted three but didn't feel the time was right for work reasons until now.

Actually it's going to be terrible for the department as we already have few vacancies we can't fill but I don't want to wait any longer as there is a chance things will just get worse!

I still haven't saved enough money for maternity leave (I'm the main earner in our house) but I'll hopefully get enough for six months off but the time I'm due.

Footprints1 · 24/04/2016 11:15

Welcome summerblush! GrinBrew

So nice to hear everyone's stories experiences and plans!! Yes all a bit over the country.. But that's what makes it interesting!! Grin

We are all in it together ConfusedThanks

CD23Star

I have 2 boys 8 & 7. I'm 38, so feeling a bit old that's why I'm worried I left it too late for another! Cycle being all over the place my gp has referred me to a gyne for further investigations.

My DH would like another, but once we get planning it -he freaks out. We are saving for new house up north Lancashire /Cumbria way. As where I live in Kent it's sooooo expensive! So he starts panicking about it. Says if it happens it happens. He's all about letting God make the plans and not me. So happy for me to stop the pill but that was as far as it goes as to planning. I thought I was pregnant before when first stopped pill as my cycle went to 43 days! Which had never done before and he got excited. So think the disappointment kicked in and made him think too much. He's ok, just relaxed!

Anyway.. I Acted like it didn't bother me about the rejection last night and will not share any fertile windows in future. Might give him a false window next time HaloWink

Hello summer welcome on board Smile

This will be baby number one for us too. God I am so extra broody today for some reason. The thought of bringing a tiny baby back home with us is just too much!

Really hope cycle 5 is the one for us.

Tee4me · 24/04/2016 10:39

Hi and welcome summerblush delighted you have joined us!! Grin

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 10:30

Hi Ladies,

I've been reading your posts!! I so want to join! I'm not too familiar with all the terminology so forgive me. Although I have googled some. This is my second month in trying. Although I think I got my ov date wrong last month. Bought some ov predictor kits also. I'm now coming into fertile window so hopefully it sticks! This will be baby #1.
:-)

radders I have two children already. Aged 5 and 3.

parney i assumed I would be the only One from Ireland. Systems are a little different here aren't they. And we don't have the brilliant Super drug tests Angry

Tee4me · 24/04/2016 09:45

So lovely to hear where everybody is, we're all pretty spread out!!
Footprints I totally know how you must feel about hubby. So frustrating that they basically hold all the power! Definitely a good plan to take back control until fertile week, he'll be gagging for it by then. I've definitely been 'less available' outside of the fertile times as the months have gone on!
Radders it does get easier. When I first started to bleed CD1 (DH's birthday) I was a bit numb about it all. Didn't cry, was quite matter-of-fact about it, told myself it was not a viable pregnancy etc... then CD2 my mum called (who knew about the pregnancy). As soon as I heard her voice asking if I was OK, I burst into tears. Then all the emotions came, the disappointment of losing that bean, the frustration of starting all over again, the worry that this could keep happening. I then had to pull myself together for a posh lunch at Tom Kerridge's restaurant with my twin sister and her OH for my DH's birthday. They didn't know about the pregnancy so I had to act normal and try and enjoy all the rich food, but I still had terrible cramps. Mum reminded me that my hormones would be all over the place and making it all feel alot worse. She was right, I think the following week things settled down physically and hormonally (is that a word?!) and I was feeling positive about the next cycle. Stick with it, don't lose faith, give this month the best you have as you should be super fertile!! xx

CD2Star cycle 3

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I feel so much better today. I think I needed a good night sleep and a day of crying to get my head round it.
I've been reading and apparently you are more fertile after a CP so I'm hopeful for this month.
The bleeding is pretty light now actually so hopefully it will finish soon and we can get on to BDing!

Footprints I am also a true believe everything happens for a reason so going with that. Does your oH want another baby or is it if it happens it happens? I'm right in saying you have one already? I've just mentioned to my Oh about some men withhold sex because they think they are being used around the time of ovulation and he doesn't get it. Thought I would try and get a male stance on it!

Jod you hopefully should be OK as it takes a little time from when the egg is released to get to the Fallopian tube so hopefully they were there waiting!

Parney how are you feeling, any more symptoms?

Im going to go Tesco today and look for some aspirin.

Can you remind me who has children already or if it's your first?

Can't wait to see some more Bfps Smilexx

Nimisha · 24/04/2016 09:41

CD 21 and 3 days po.

Radders, big hugs, this is a bereavement, you are allowed to feel lost and broken. It's something lots of women have experienced but we still don't talk about very much. The general advice is still not to tell people about a pregnancy until 12 weeks so if it ends in misscarrage then people needn't know you were even pregnant. I think that's wrong, is shouldn't be taboo to talk about losing a baby.

Jod sounds like you have a good chance this month.

Footprints hopefully that one day was enough, it only takes once!

Mimi hope you feel better soon.

Physics keep doing the OPKs, I did mine at 6 when I got back from work and when I got a slightly darker line I used second morning urine as well (about 20 past 7).

I'm near Middlesbrough.

Parney · 24/04/2016 09:18

Joe I only did it after surge on OPK. You're not out yet!!! Lots of luck ladies, I'm in Ireland too. Would be lovely if we could drink alcohol free prosecoo together!

Jod1985 · 24/04/2016 09:12

Morning ladies,

radders my heart goes out to you. Be kind to yourself and take it easy too. I agree maybe a support thread would be a good idea.

footprints how naughty is your hubby withholding the swimmers! Mine succumbed when I got out the underwear lol! He's back in work tomorrow night and works long stretches so we do have to DTD when he's off or else it doesn't happen.

I'm a bit worried that I will have missed ovulation. The OPKs were quite strong on Thursday but got even darker ok Friday - especially mid afternoon on Friday. We hadn't DTD before Friday (hubby was working) but we did it twice Friday and once last night. Just afraid the we missed our chance not doing it before I got the strong positive. So I'm not feeling very hopeful either.

My boobs are very sensitive today. Hubby couldn't touch them during Adult cuddle time last night as the nipples are too sore! Have a thumping headache too.

I'm in Dublin, Ireland

physicskate · 24/04/2016 08:48

radders no one expects you to cope with this. It's still very raw. You had expectations and those have been dashed. Allow yourself to grieve. It might help to talk to someone who has been through someone similar - maybe you have a friend nearby? Or there is a thread here somewhere about this if you can't do IRL. Miscarriage should be allowed to be talked about - it's a real roller coaster of emotions (never mind the hormones that are involved!!)!

CD14. Temps super low for the last two mornings. Had that about 5 days before ov last month... Not even a sniff of a line on OPK yesterday. WIll try to keep up with it, but won't be able to a few days this week...

I'm near Leeds...
