So AF got me this afternoon!! Trying not to get down in the dumps (although I just watched 'one born every minute' on catch-up and sobbed!)
Dusting myself off and hoping for better luck in April! A few stats:
Age-33
TTC-5th cycle
DC-1 DS (3.5 years old)
Anyone else at the start of their cycle and trying something new in the hope of a more successful month?!

Hmmm just did another one and I think it's a bit lighter to be honest ... Argh

Thanks tee - I will re test later and show you what it says! Hopefully it goes darker :)

Tee4me · 05/04/2016 16:59

I would definitely take that as ovulation imminent! I know the line is technically supposed to be as dark, but I'm sure it would be if you retested again tonight. I definitely get a warning with opks, they start faint and get darker until full positive around CD12, I think I then ovulate CD13. Either way I'd get busy if I were you 😉

Here is the opk i just did. It's darker then this morning but would you classify this as positive or does it still need to be darker??

I've just had something on ovia saying that judging by my fertility window I would probably have a baby between 24th and 28th December.....
We weren't 100% about having a baby over Christmas time and this is bang on that time.
We decided to not skip a month though and see what happens. Let fate take its toll!
Definitely feel more relaxed this month though because of it.

We don't have any children so it's probably easier for us to Dtd every other day. We've been lucky in that had 2 weeks off work so it's been easier to do. Don't go back until Monday so can keep it up longer. It's when working I find it difficult as so tired. I'm hoping with being off work the no stress has helped too.

I did opk this morning which was negative. Will do another one later and tomorrow then I'm not doing any more. I went a bit crazy with them last month and I find they stress me out more.... Really want to try and stay relaxed especially as it's only second cycle trying xx

Footprints1 · 05/04/2016 11:19

Yes the evening primrose is only up til ov.

Every other day is quite difficult to keep up do u think? Not that DH minds ;) but I feel it hard to arrange with kids, work, and social nights. Feel like i want to be unsociable for a few months so I can concentrate on baby production! Smile

I'm also getting a bit hooked on looking at future dates in diary thinking how it might be a different Christmas if I was about to pop!

raddersmrs · 04/04/2016 23:39

Thanks everyone - makes me feel a bit more confident.
We've been on holiday and just got back so was going to do an opk before bed but I don't need the loo!
I will do one in the morning if the urge doesn't come before sleep time.
I got positive opk this time last month on cd12.

We are Dtd every other day to see how that pans out this month.

I have been taking evening primrose oil for months now anyway even before ttc to help with other stuff. Apparently though you should stop taking it after ovulation so only for first part of the cycle.
I am taking omega 6 too amongst lots of other things!
My diet has been rubbish though so I'm not expecting it to happen this month.

The worse part in all of this is definitely the not knowing isn't it?

Parney · 04/04/2016 22:33

Radders I came off the pill at the end of January and experienced harrowing ovulation pains in February, zilch in March though! Confusing!

Tee4me · 04/04/2016 22:33

Jod you must feel very anxious!! Will you start testing later this week if still no AF?
Footprints that was a crazy long cycle, you must have been climbing the walls!
Radders, I wouldn't worry too much about the absence of ewcm, agree with footprints, try using opks and/or track BBT if you want to pinpoint ovulation and cm isn't giving anything away! I charted my BBT for 3 months, and generally ovulate CD13.

Parney · 04/04/2016 22:30

Jod that sounds promising, especially so soon after O! I've a feeling this will be a long month, CD 8, will probably start OPK tomorrow. Trying to dtd eod, hoping it's enough. Diet could probably go better but I'm doing well enough in avoiding caffeine, salty and processed foods.

I was reading through some old MN threads last night where people coming off the pill were ovulating and 'dropping eggs' Grin at random points of their cycle and getting BFP quite quickly. Would love for that to happen to me but my two cycles since coming off microlite this year have been pretty textbook, ovulating CD 14 and AF exactly 14 days later. I think DH and I start the cycle off a bit too excited and exhaust ourselves before FW even beginsBlush.

Footprints1 · 04/04/2016 20:05

Hey RaddersMrs! Are you using ovulation tests?

I found last month that the ewcm was only slightly noticeable on one day for me and at only one wipe after a wee. When I used a test it showed up peak fertility. So unless you explore yourself (tmi) I think it can easily be missed unless you test. I suppose every woman's may be different.?

I was recommended to use oil of evening primrose tablets (helps ovulation) b6 complex (which helps progesterone and a good leutal phase). Green leafy veg & blueberries!

raddersmrs · 04/04/2016 18:43

Hello, I am joining footprints and Jod from the other thread.

Ttc #1
29 (on 16th!)
2nd cycle trying
CD12

This time last month I had horrendous ovulation pains but nothing today yet.

I've got a feeling I'm not producing enough CM as there is nothing there when I wipe. Not sure if you should have stuff there though. The first month I came off pill in Feb had loads of EW but none since.

Footprints1 · 04/04/2016 18:15

Haven't had a chance to read this thread from the start, but it will give me something to do later.. Hope to get to know you all this month. X

Footprints1 · 04/04/2016 18:14

Hey ladies, would love to join in!
Trying since Jan
Age 38
CD3
TTC #3

Last month AF got me at 22dpo and was a massive 43 day cycle! Never ever happened before. Wasted lots of money on BFNs and felt quite deflated as I was so sure I was going to be pregnant after being so late.

Nice to chat to others trying, was on another post and a few got their BFP's so it is encouraging to see their symptoms and gain knowledge.

Hi Jod, recognise u from another post. Hope you get answers soon as to what is happening for u. Anymore bleeding? X

Jod1985 · 04/04/2016 17:10

Hi Tee4me, well I had quite strong cramps which started on Friday evening and they had me convinced that AF was starting on Saturday. So Saturday morning nada but the second time I went to the bathroom there was a little brown discharged when I wiped. I thought AF was starting BUT since then I have only had the brown spotting when I wipe and not every time either.
I guess it could be My cycle just trying to regulate, it could be AF going to show or as it was 6days Since I thought I had ovulated it could (likely wishful thinking) be implantation bleeding?
So I'm none the wiser. I did have implantation bleeding with both my pregnancies and cramping in the early days. I have tingly boobs and I also need to pee every 2 mins.
Happy humping this weekend!!Wink

Tee4me · 04/04/2016 16:44

How's everybody getting on? JOD any closer to figuring out where you are in your cycle?
I'm now on CD6, not bothered charting my BBT this month, so one less thing to obsess over, but the opks will probably be coming any day. I usually Ov CD13, so expecting to be busy towards the end of this this week!! 😆

I think it really is baby time for lots of our friends - so many lovely babies to cuddle!

ZoeNotAMumYet · 02/04/2016 11:25

I can relate, ever: we've been together 11 years and only just got ourselves settled! :-) Well it really is baby fever at the moment, just had two friend announcements in the same day! ShockGrin we are gonna have so many friends who can give us advice! And hopefully (via babysitting) practice!

everdene · 02/04/2016 08:15

Zoe this will be the first month we 'try' (hate that phrase!) but I have been waiting for DH to be ready/us to be in our own house since I was 28 so it feels much much longer!

ZoeNotAMumYet · 01/04/2016 00:22

Ah just looked back ever and see you are just starting ttc! So probably my comments were irrelevant! Sorry!
Good luck everybody. I hope you all get updiffed soon. So sorry Ask, it can take a while, I have a friend who took about a year to get her periods back but she did get back to normal eventually. Fx that you are not waiting too long.

ZoeNotAMumYet · 01/04/2016 00:06

I think a healthy food month sounds like a great plan loki - count me in. I want to gradually cut down my coffee and wine until I have seamlessly quit them both, as these will be sorely missed. :-) What other foods are good for fertility? I would also like to start getting a bit fitter, maybe get doing some yoga. Everdene I can only imagine how it feels to have all your friends announcing pregnancy when you have been ttc a while. It must suck despite you being happy for them. For me atm it seems like baby fever with friends and family, it has been good for us as it made us realise we were putting it off for no good reason. We kept saying "in 5 yrs...In 5yrs" and suddenly I was 30! We had the chat after visiting a friend's newborn and realised there was no good reason to keep putting it off. We are giving it until next year to save up to be a bit stronger financially but other than that we are as ready as we will ever be!

everdene · 31/03/2016 23:35

I'm going to stock up on baby aspirin after reading about it on here!

My lovely friend has just told me she is prego again less than a year after her first DC was born - I am Grin but also very hopeful I'll have my BFP before her second baby is here!

Tee4me · 31/03/2016 21:38

Agree with you Loki, I think my main 2 strategies this month is lots of DTD & good eating. Lots of veggies & berries. I might give up on monitoring BBT, now I have a rough idea of when I ovulate.
Jod, that would be amazing if you fell before even seeing AF!! Good luck with that, keep us updated if you have any signs!

Hi everyone, can I join? I am not exactly sure what is going on with me ATM. Sooooo I got the mirena out last Wednesday. Haven't had any bleeding since (well a smidge when I wiped but would say that's from getting it removed). I didn't have periods while on the mirena so no idea what day of cycle I am on except I THINK I might have ovulated on Monday. The reason I think this is I had a stitch like pain in my right side and then the next morning lots of EWC. I have had sore boobs since Monday too. So I DTD Sunday and Tuesday this week. Pain was so bad on Monday I couldn't do it. I would be surprised if I feel PG before I even had my first AF. So I guess I'm just playing the waiting game. I might get AF or I might get a BFP in two weeks.
Here's my details;
Name; JOD
Age: 31
TTC #3 (youngest is just 3)

I have been taking a supplement with all my vitamins in including folic acid. I never heard of Brazil nuts or pineapple helping, heard zinc is great for men's sperm though. I take royal jelly too.

Loki17 · 31/03/2016 18:08

I've thrown out the opks I'm just going to dtd as often as possible. At leat eod and every day that I have ewcm. This month's 'magic element' is going to be food - I'm completely cutting out wine and going on a health kick. If nothing else, it will help me lose the half a stone that needs to be gone by summer!
