So AF got me this afternoon!! Trying not to get down in the dumps (although I just watched 'one born every minute' on catch-up and sobbed!)
Dusting myself off and hoping for better luck in April! A few stats:
Age-33
TTC-5th cycle
DC-1 DS (3.5 years old)
Anyone else at the start of their cycle and trying something new in the hope of a more successful month?!

Hello girls can I join please?

I'm Jem, I'm 32 and trying for the first time. I'm on cycle 4, day 18.

TTC tactics so far have been;
-A shedload of DTD during FW (looked up SMEP and thought right, shag LOTS)

  • OPKS - would feel blind without them now
  • This month EPO daily until ovulation. Definite increase in CM

Making our journey just that bit more fun is that DH travels for work - one trip a week for a few nights. So I get a bit mental about that.

footprints I'd heard before about acupuncture being good. What's the deal there?

Footprints1 · 10/04/2016 08:34

Hi to the newcomers, I too didn't expect it to be so difficult. I regret so much of going on the pill as it seems after tests that my ovaries are still trying to wake up. Just hope they do.

Was recommended to try acupuncture so that is my next step.

Jod, early cramping is a sign of pregnancy and this weekend would possibly be your usual AF time if you are in between 10-14dpo so your body is thinking it's supposed to do that. Wicker & Betty had terrible cramps from the other thread so I think it's just that. Some don't get their BFP until 2 weeks after their AF due so it's still early. Can understand u being worried though, as every twinge makes u think negative. You can only wait and see and test again in few days. I'm sure you'll b fine Smile

Hi, I am in the same boat! CD1 today. Feeling disappointed but keeping positive in that April brings a whole new opportunity to conceive.

Age -32
TTC - #1
Cycle - 4
CD- 1
Married for 6 years.

I had Mirena coil for 7 years before having it removed in December 2015- luckily cycles reverted to a pretty normal pattern afterwards.

I have used the Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test with Dual Hormone Indicator for one previous cycle and it did pick up the LH spike. I'll be using them again this month. I take the Seven Seas 'Trying for a Baby' mini pills to top up my folic acid.

It is proving more difficult that I thought it would be- guess I was naïve beforehand. However I appreciate it is still early days on cycle 4.

We are not telling anyone we are TTC- didn't fancy the extra pressure of people asking questions!

newhairdontcare · 09/04/2016 17:33

Hello.

Can I join?
Age 33
One DC (2)
CD 20

We have started TTC this month. My cycle has been all over the place since coming off the pill in December. Last month was a 31 day cycle, prior to that 38 day and longer the month before.

I think I ovulated on Thursday as I had what looked like EWCM. However, we are trying to DTD as much as possible as I am so unsure when I am fertile due to messed up cycle. It was easier with my first DC as I settled into a 28 day cycle almost immediately. Wishing you all lots of luck x

Jod1985 · 09/04/2016 15:22

No I have never used one of those to be honest. I really think AF is on the way now.

Footprints1 · 09/04/2016 14:58

Definitely saw a line there Jod. So it must have picked hcg up. So many tests take longer time to read. Your symptoms are def positive. You will just have to wait I guess a few more days. Gave you tried an opk ? Read that they can show positive if pregnant??

raddersmrs · 09/04/2016 12:11

Jod I definitely saw a really faint line too. Just hold out a little longer in case it isn't fully detectable yet.

Parney -agree with everything tee said! It's great that it's shown you've had the surge. It can take 36 hours, sometimes longer, for ovulation to occur though so you have to watch what other signs there are in your body like tee said.

I suppose I'm officially in my tww now...! Keeping calm

Parney · 09/04/2016 11:41

I definitely saw the line in your first pic. Flowers hope you're ok Jod.

Tee4me · 09/04/2016 11:41

Don't give up hope Jod, you're still very early, so concentration of urine could play a part in whether the line is there... perhaps try and wait it out for AF and test again if it still doesn't show? I know how stressful the next few days will be wondering, try and relax x

Hi Parney, it doesn't necessarily mean you've ovulated, just that you've had your LH surge which happens before ovulation. I usually ovulate the day after my surge has been detected, but I know it can be longer for some, so definitely assume you are ovulating today or tomorrow. Watch out for any pinching around where your ovaries are. Also, once your cm turns from clear to creamy, that's a sure sign the egg has already been released! I would say today is defo your most fertile day based on your opk pattern!! Even if you ovulate tomorrow, today's swimmers will be ready and waiting to greet it!!

Jod1985 · 09/04/2016 11:36

I don't think I am pregnant girls. I took a test this morning and it was negative. It should be getting stronger by now. Maybe I imagined the line.

Parney · 09/04/2016 11:05

I used an OPK again last night before bed and it was just as dark as test line. Took it as positive and dtd, tested with FMU today and it's faded. Was burning up last night, felt so warm.. Still do! Tee but is this OPK normal? Does it mean I have ovulated? I feel so needy!

Hope everyone is well, Jod it's a good sign if you've felt like this when pregnant before.

Jod1985 · 08/04/2016 22:03

Oh I'm thirsty and need to pee a LOT!

Jod1985 · 08/04/2016 22:03

Yes I told my DH. I think I will do a digital on Sunday or Monday.
I felt ok today. Tonight I feel crampy. I'm very tired. TMI but I feel wet down there, my boobs feel bigger and sore at times. The cramping is the same as I had with my other PG's. It's always worrying though.

Footprints1 · 08/04/2016 21:33

Jod, the line is faintly there so yes is a positive!! Yes agree, I'd have to buy a digital to see it in writing "PREGNANT" just so I can see those words. Yes still early dpo for you so that's probably why.

Have you told your OH? Are u having any symptoms still? Tell us all.. So we know what to look out for if anything..?

Parney · 08/04/2016 19:42

You're still very early at 10/11 DPO Jod? I've no experience of having any lines before but the fact that it's there means the hormones detected. When would you be expecting AF? A digital might put your mind at ease around then?

Thanks footprints, I'll have to DTD as much as possible! Ovia has melt O day marked as 11 days from now Hmm I think I'll uninstall it. Handy for keeping track of what CD I am but other than that I don't find it reliable at all.

Parney · 08/04/2016 19:38

Casually*

Jod1985 · 08/04/2016 19:38

They line is still very faint so I am a little worried.

Footprints1 · 08/04/2016 19:14

Jod, was your bfp darker this time?

Parny, yes sometimes they go straight to positive without a gradual warning. I used the Clear Blue digital and I didn't get the warning (flashing smiley, I just got the static one). I bet you find that if u did them every urine time like every hour or so in sure you'll see the increase. But that's pretty expensive!

Just keep DTD and I'm sure it will cover all the appropriate time.

Parney · 08/04/2016 19:13

Thanks Tee, so helpful as usual! I was thinking the same about the weekend timing 🙈 I sent DH a pic of a 🐓 and the test saying I was hopefully about to lay an egg! Just to casally let him know what kind of weekend is ahead!

Was the FRER any different this time Jod?

Tee4me · 08/04/2016 18:58

Parney this is totally normal. I've had negatives morning of CD12 then a positive by the evening!! Not everyone even gets a faint line before, let alone a gradual build up, so the fact you got a faint line CD11 would definitely show your body was going into LH surge. I imagine you will ovulate tomorrow, Sunday or Monday latest... I would DTD every evening from tonight until at least Monday if I were you?! Weekends are a great time to ovulate, as you may be able to sneek in some morning action too! Good luck!!

IC negative. Not surprised.

Sorry Parney - I don't know about Ov sticks either.

Jod1985 · 08/04/2016 17:50

Sorry I can't advise parney I have never used OPK's but I know someone else will know Smile

I'm ok. I did another FRER today now 10/11 days PO.

Parney · 08/04/2016 16:29

How is everyone getting on? April is going so slowly! I forgot to start OPKs on CD 10 and did my first one yesterday CD 11 at about 4pm. It was so faint I could only just make out the test line. Today I did another one at the same time hoping it would darken and I'm so confused as it seems to be almost positive. I did another one with same sample and its darkening as well. Is it 'normal' to go from faint to almost positive so quickly? I thought it would be gradual!

Racja14 · 07/04/2016 21:17

I'll order some OPK's tomorrow, every little helps I guess! Gonna try and be more chilled this month and try not to think about it, doesn't help when ppl at work say things like 'you not popped any sprogs out yet, it's about time' feel like saying what on earth has it got to do with you ha ha
