Back to SQUARE ONE CD1! Anyone want to spend April with me?!

So AF got me this afternoon!! Trying not to get down in the dumps (although I just watched 'one born every minute' on catch-up and sobbed!)
Dusting myself off and hoping for better luck in April! A few stats:
Age-33
TTC-5th cycle
DC-1 DS (3.5 years old)
Anyone else at the start of their cycle and trying something new in the hope of a more successful month?!

Remember definitely a strong positive. Maybe I should get those OPKs myself too. I have a feeling that AF is imminent. To be honest I kind of wish I had avoided DTD until I get my first AF after getting the Mirena out. If it's a chemical I will blame myself as it's likely my lining wasn't good enough to support implantation. If I had waited I would know where I stand. Oh impatient me. 😥

I will see if I can manage it! I'm back at work tomorrow so the morning will be a bit of a mission! I'm thinking I need to get hold of Brazil nuts and pineapples from the last couple of comments on this thread! I just hope being back at work and the added stress doesn't make my body do different things! Stress contributes to the length of my cycle from what I have seen recently.

I've heard theories on that too, but also other theories that claim the complete opposite (frequent release = fresher/better quality swimmers) who knows. I don't think twice a day will hurt, especially as I suspect this is totally your most fertile day based on that lovely looking opk. You could always wait and DTD tomorrow morning... I generally ovulate the day after my positive, but everyone is different. Either way, this morning's swimmers should be ready and waiting to greet the egg.

I wouldn't be to worried about doing it again today but I would do it tomorrow and Tuesday then Thursday

Mimi I've bought a fresh pineapple and will try and have little and often throughout this week and next, so I reck I'll get through 3 fresh ones in total with help from my fruit monster DS! Will have a handful of brazils everyday too.
Radders pineapple is a good facilitator of implantation, so if we're lucky enough that swimmer and egg did hook up, the next hurdle for the little bean is to implant successfully, can't hurt, especially if you've experienced a chemical or very early mc.

DTD this morning - thinking of maybe tonight as well now. However I didn't think it was a good idea to do it too frequently something to do with the quality of the swimmers!

Af due 22 but after 10cycles of disappointment, I will poas on the 23rd if the witch doesn't show.

Should we eat pineapple in the two week wait to help conception then?
I've just had two weeks off work, back tomorrow and determined to eat better.. I've put weight in rather than lose it which isn't good.

I will keep an eye in my temps then tee, thank you. I know I have ovulated already though.

When will everyone be next testing? AF is due for me 19th but I might test 16th as it is my birthday but I will only be 9/10dpo so it will most likely be negative in any case.

Radders those temps are similar to my pre ovulation readings, I'm usually 36.3 something... always take the very first result. My thermometer is exactly the same, I thought it was faulty because if I do lots in a row the results will vary, so I just stick with doing it once first thing, and I can see a good pattern over the full month, so reckon it's ok. When they spike it's generally up to 36.5s or 36.6s, so it's not a massive shift.
Hi mimi! I had to gently persuade DH yesterday too, was hoping for x2 sessions, but no joy. Typical to struggle with cooperation on the most important day!
2ww for me too then, lots of Brazil nuts and pineapples on the menu!! xx

Cd15 here and ov yesterday. Had to force dh to dtd one more time at 2am after he came in lateGrin.I'm onto the dreaded tww.

tee4me Evening Primrose Oil. I read on here somewhere it increases CM - which was true for me this month

Tee when you have a temp spike what temp do you normally get?

I've started tempting but I don't know if the thermometer is any good. I did it once got 36.45, straight after got 36.38 then 36.33. I took note of the first one after googling

There's definitely a line Jod, keep the faith... lots of people won't even get that until after AF is due.
Just did my CD12 opk and as suspected a very strong positive (the darker line is the test line!). I think because of how dark they were yesterday too, I'm expecting to ov later today (usually it would be CD13 with temp spike CD14).
Parney I think we will be POAS buddies!!

Hi to all the newbies, I'm sorry I have been quiet. I'm in POAS confusion hell!
I am still getting very very very faint lines but I really expect they would be more defined now. It's two weeks since I expected I ovulated. I got a BFN on a Digi yesterday afternoon.

X post. I think EPO is evening primrose oil? Supposed to help with EWCM. We're at similar cycle stages! I was filling DH in on all the statistics a while back. He was horrified about the 25% chance even with perfect timing!

Hi all, Footprints have you been off the pill long? Good to hear other opinions. I was on it for 9 years and came off just over two months ago. I would have come off sooner had I realised it wasn't going to be a case of instantly conceiving Blush I now realise how naive I was. I'm only on cycle 3 but reading through all these threads have given me a more realistic perspective.
Jem you're so right about OPKs, last month I ovulated on CD 16 and naturally ovia had predicted the same this month. I was going to start OPK on CD 14 but started on CD 11 instead. Got positive on day 12 and has been negative ever since, so if I had waited I would have missed out and wouldn't have realised as I get no other symptoms. I'm still kind of annoyed as I didn't treat the last few days as I would have in terms of dtd, I was geared up for this week to be busy! have lots of CM but never EW, Evening primrose is popping up on all the threads so will give it a try.

it's so true, you spend years trying to stop getting pregnant, thinking that 1 mistake would almost definitely end in a pregnancy, so once you decide you're TTC, you just assume that lots of DTD in your fertile week would be a dead cert, so when it doesn't happen you almost feel baffled!! But there is only ever about a 25% chance of conception even if you time things perfectly.
Jem what's EPO?
Got a very near positive on my opk am AND pm yesterday. I'll test again at midday today, if it's more faint I'll assume the surge has happened, if full on poisitive then it would look like a really decent build up. CD12 today, I usually ovulate CD13. A morning temp spike usually confirms when it eventually happened...
