So AF got me this afternoon!! Trying not to get down in the dumps (although I just watched 'one born every minute' on catch-up and sobbed!)
Dusting myself off and hoping for better luck in April! A few stats:
Age-33
TTC-5th cycle
DC-1 DS (3.5 years old)
Anyone else at the start of their cycle and trying something new in the hope of a more successful month?!

Suchajem, how do you know you are 2dpo? Temping?
They sound like ovulation pains to me but could be wrong... I get them really bad sometimes

SuchaJem · 10/04/2016 20:38

Fx AF stays well away jod

My best mate is an obs & gynae doctor and has just started trying too. She text me earlier saying she has sore boobs which was making her excited - which made me feel a lot better about all my crazy symptom spotting. She knows the odds!

Speaking of symptom spotting... I'm 2dpo and had about an hour of small but persistent stabbing pains in my lower abdomen earlier. On the left hand side, just above my hip. Desperately trying not to get hopes up but also can't help but hope it's a little zygote getting comfy...

I love OBEM but DH won't watch a second of it. I was hooked during my last pregnancy, but couldn't watch once DS was here as my labour was a bit difficult. Want to try hypnobirthing this time round. I thrived in pregnancy tho, really never felt better and I can't wait for that lovely feeling again x

RememberToSmile I'm planning to continue with the aspirin and eat a little pineapple daily but NOT the core (which a the most potent part), just so I'm not overdosing on blood thinners. I'm only on a low dose aspirin (75mg), so hopefully that combination will give me a good chance without over doing it?!

My hubby won't watch it. He says he's seen it all now lol!! He watched the section and he held a leg when I was in labour. He was fascinated by the placenta!

raddersmrs · 10/04/2016 19:23

I absolutely love OBEM! Me and OH sit through it every week.

raddersmrs · 10/04/2016 19:21

I've just had a McDonald's! Angry
We told ourselves it's the last one... Back to work tomorrow so healthy eating starts. I've got some juice plus left over so going to do that for next two weeks. Like you said something else to concentrate on!

My BMI is still in healthy range but I'm definitely not treating my body like a temple or a place for baby growing. That's why I don't think we will get BFP this month.

I can't remember who said it but I too am worried about going back to work tomorrow and the stress of it taking its toll and impeding the BFP

I Best Buy a proper pineapple then! I was just going to buy the tinned stuff, doh! Thats me being lazy

Jod1985 · 10/04/2016 19:17

I already feel myself going into the "oh I ace an excuse mode" where diet is concerned!!

RememberToSmile1980 · 10/04/2016 19:12

Hi MiMi
I have put on lots of weight - to be fair I lost he baby weight and then got lazy!
I didnt want to be overweight second time around - but hey ho. I think I will try SW as its meant to be ok if you are TTC or pregnant. I have eaten loads as have had half term - gorging on cheese, chocolates and anything else! Simply because I am bored I think!

RememberToSmile1980 · 10/04/2016 19:08

Tee
Would this mean that people eating pineapple shouldn't take baby aspirin as well?

Jod1985 · 10/04/2016 19:08

I LOVE giving birth! Really an amazing experience. My first was a section as he was breech and then I really really wanted a VBAC. As I hadn't been in labour they didn't know how I would labour but I did it in three hours and no pain relief. I haven't enjoyed pregnancy though. I get HG and migraines and anxiety.

Parney · 10/04/2016 19:05

hyper ovulation is the dream! Hopefully in a few days your already visible line will be darker. I've never watched OBEM, terrified I'll be put off child birth even more! I have never experienced it and I'm finding it extremely difficult to think about it being a possibility!!🙈

Tee4me · 10/04/2016 19:05

Jod that was me at the beginning of my cycle!!! In tears every time there was a birth!!!

You're spot on Mimi!! I just found the below! Interesting about the aspirin too, as I've been on a low dose since mc last month...

"It is important to remember not to core the pineapple – you will want some core in each of your slices, as the core contains the highest concentration of bromelain. One to two slices is really the most you should ingest in a single day as well. And because of the blood thinning properties, you should also avoid taking aspirin (or any other medicinal blood thinners) while consuming pineapple on a daily basis"

Was just watching OBEM - balling my eyes out now! It's so emotional.
You are all so reassuring 😘😘 yes the doctor told me it was ok to start straight away after removal. In fact they said some women have hyper ovulation!

Mimilicious013 · 10/04/2016 18:53

But l think u must, google it up and see.

Parney · 10/04/2016 18:51

Mimi count me in on the diet!

Parney · 10/04/2016 18:50

Tee I was trying to avoid temping but think I'll give it a go next cycle as I'd love to pinpoint ovulation/ see some sort of a pattern.

Tee4me · 10/04/2016 18:48

Mimi, I won't be eating the core?! Must be really bitter? Good on you getting started! 🍍🍍🍍👍🏻

Remember that's a lovely dark line! I've been eating Brazil nuts daily as well, not keen on pineapple bit will buy some tomorrow- can't hurt. I've also heard that about trying not to release the swimmers too often but thought it was for those with a low sperm count? To try and increase build up or something! If I was you I'd dtd as much as poss! We've only done it daily since near positive opk, but I'd have gone for more Blush!

My AF came two weeks after positive OPK last cycle which would be 23rd, so I'll test if I'm late by the 24th. I'll probably use a few ICs to torture myself and pass the time

Oh Jod, I'm not too sure whether it was you or someone else on another thread but the doctor/nurse had said it was ok for trying straight away after the coil removal. So don't be hard on yourself, you're trying your best. It really isn't easy!

Tee4me · 10/04/2016 18:45

I agree with the others Jod, at least you know you tried, you're not out til AF shows anyway. The hardest thing about TTC is the constant second guessing and wishing you'd did something different in hindsight. We are all doing our best so should be kinder to ourselves.
Radders I agree about the opks, but that's why I find temping helps... the opk tells you when you're about to ov and temps tell you when you have, so it's good for finding a pattern once you've got a few cycles under your belt x

Hugs jod,pre-af and early pregnancy have same symptoms .fx the witch stays away.

Mimilicious013 · 10/04/2016 18:38

Definite positive remember,if u can tonight you can jump dh just incase u don't get the chance tmwr. Fx

tee is right, iv read two opposing theories too on dtd everyday and dtd eod...have started eating pineapple already Smileits difficult to eat the core though.

radder have gained weight too and l wonder if I get upduffed how much more I'll gain. Starting a no carb, no milk, no sugar diet tmwr for the next two weeks. Hopefully the tww will fly while concentrating on keeping away from chocolate Hmm

raddersmrs · 10/04/2016 18:29

Jod don't blame yourself. If you hadn't have tried and waited and then next cycle didn't get a BFP you would've probably been thinking if only I had started straight away I might've caught. It's all ifs and buts isn't it.

Just found a website with cheap tests - got frer for £6.47 for two - Home health UK

I find opks helpful to pinpoint the surge but it's still difficult to know exactly when ovulated

Ive just added some pineapple to my online shop due tomorrow!

RememberToSmile1980 · 10/04/2016 18:22

Hi Jod
Don't be too hard on yourself. Chin up and don't be disheartened. We are all here for each otherFlowers
