Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Awwww jem Nothing worse than feeling miserable and moody. Go grab yourself some chocolate and remember what we've learnt. AF symptoms are pregnancy symptoms so don't get too disheartened until she actually swans in and ruins the party....

SuchaJem · 13/04/2016 20:34

So fed up today girls. Just feel under a dark cloud. Really teary and short tempered and craving chocolate - all classic PMS SadSadSad

Well done kwick

Kwick709 · 13/04/2016 19:19

Well lovelyfishy did not actually tell Receptionist why I needed to see Dr...

No problem ctulhoo may the 4th be with you. I wonder how the OPK sticks can be so out for you? That's definitely a great learning. Good luck with the next appointments.

Sorry moose I've put you back on April

lovely at 32 I'm starting to feel that way too...

Knackered today, and feeling a bit blue, a bit grouchy grump which is usual for me at this stage of my cycle 😔 I have also had odd bowels though - either constipated or loose - which is the only thing giving me hope this month. Just want it to bloody happen now!

LovelyFishy · 13/04/2016 18:18

Boo on the grumpy receptionist Kwick, she should be skipping for joy! I know we al are for you. Grin

LovelyFishy · 13/04/2016 18:17

I think I've reached that stage in my life where everyone is having babies. None of my close friends or family yet but about everyone else I've ever known or worked with!! Gah!!! Still feeling pretty chill atm, but I'm sure if/when AF shows her face next week I'll have a proper pity party.

Kwick709 · 13/04/2016 18:15

I went to SW today after about a 5 week absence - lost 4 lbs!!!
SW fine to continue during upduffedness - but midwife has to say how much.
I have finally made GP appointment... Receptionist as rude as ever. I know she is probably overworked and under paid but attitude so unnecessary Envy

Ni4444 · 13/04/2016 18:08

Ctulhoo that's so interesting! Thanks for sharing. Guess that's why GPs come up with the "just have sex every other day all month" suggestion!

Just read your post. What cycle r u on now? I am pretty much the same... I've spent 6 months trying to get pregnant... Now I'm like... Well I'm not pregnant yet can't stress about that anymore... What have I got to get done in my life before pregnancy/baby happens?!? I need to go on more holidays and drink more champagne!! I also have started going to the gym nearly every day as helloooo!! summer is coming?!?

HepKestrel · 13/04/2016 14:57

Cthulhoo
ok thanks !

so there is some hope for me then this month, as it is possible to ovulate a day or 2 before positive ov. test. ....... ok stop the cray cray hep [slaps back of own hand]

Cthulhoo · 13/04/2016 14:28

Kepkestrel I had several blood tests done to check whether I'm ovulating and they all had fairly low levels. These tests should be taken 7 days after ovulation and so I had timed them to 7dpo as per test sticks, i.e. 7 days after static smiley face. If I went by that date I would have a short luteal phase of 10-12 days.

Ultimately the doctor suggested to assume that I have a standard luteal phase of 14 days even if that meant ovulation was earlier than indicated, and when I timed a blood test on that rule, hormone levels were much higher and much more in line with actual ovulation. I don't really understand why the sticks don't tell the truth but the nurse seemed unsurprised, and my partner who's a biologist assures that's not unusual 'because biology.' Apparently it's not the exact science I expected it to be. ;-)

Mooseville · 13/04/2016 14:20

jem I'm actually 28th April but what I meant is there's zero chance of BFP so I'll be jumping on May's bus - date to be confirmed post April AF. I think I phrased it confusingly! Well done with the Stats!!

HepKestrel · 13/04/2016 14:18

Hi Chthulhoo
stoopid question - how do you know your actual ovulation date without the test sticks? (sorry if i missed some discussion)

Cthulhoo · 13/04/2016 14:10

And as a quick update: After having had several blood tests and being referred to a fertility specialist things have kind of stalled. I've been referred for further blood tests (one for a sickle-cell screen?) and hsg (hysterosalpinogram) but that turns out to be difficult to schedule. DP has been asked to supply them with a sperm sample. Once the tests are all in I have a follow up appointment ... in July. Hmm I'm fairly sure I'm going for a private consultation because I'm not willing to wait that long.

On the bright side, in the initial appointment the nurse didn't seem to be surprised that actual ovulation date and ovulation test sticks don't match so it looks likely that I ovulate 2-3 days before the sticks tell me I do. Of course this means we've had the timing wrong for the last few months ...

Cthulhoo · 13/04/2016 14:03

suchajem Can you please put me on the list for May 4

SuchaJem · 13/04/2016 13:49

not selfish at all IMO skip like you say - one life, got to live it!

I've been thinking about doing some exercise for a while too. Unfortunately it hasn't progressed beyond thought yet.

FXSkip · 13/04/2016 09:49

Thanks Jem Smile I'm taking EPO this month, but still not making too much of an effort as I have yet to have a cycle length the same so I am clearly still regulating. Not too fussed though, as planning lots of big trips over the next year or two which obviously wouldn't happen if upduffed. Feel so selfish sometimes but then I think I only have this one life and I don't want to waste any of it so then I'm happy again. Launching myself into pre-holiday fitness mode now Grin

HepKestrel · 13/04/2016 08:54

AF due today, and chances of AF not appearing are slim (OH out of action around LH surge due to bad tooth... sigh...)

I'll test saturday morning if she does play silly buggers again.

Its odd, but once i got over the annoyance of OH being ill, this stress free tww has been a nice break IYKWIM

hello Hank !

SuchaJem · 13/04/2016 08:44

Hello hep how are you doing? Sorry I missed your seat. When are you testing?

HepKestrel · 13/04/2016 08:28

Jem

I'm still holding my bus ticket for today , but I think AF will be punctual (unless OH has super-swimmers).

SuchaJem · 13/04/2016 08:20
