Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Hello, glad to see your BFP's - I thought it might make me sad but instead I feel there is hope for me yet!
I ov'ed on CD14, saw it on an opk and felt it (now on CD27 - and the evil AF has arrived just now!) but then the ov pain ramped up massively, I thought I'd got gastroenteritis but dh insisted on a medical opinion and bam!, before I knew it I was in hospital having my appendix whipped out! A little more than ov pain....

What with the ectopic and mmc I can't seem to catch a break! Gah, hope this month is a winner, please! Keep the BFP's rolling guys, and can't wait to join you, one day, hopefully in the not too distant future. Right, I'm off to drink mucho commiseratory beer Smile

SuchaJem · 29/03/2016 19:18

Keeping all fingers and toes crossed for the testers this weekend - I hope it's another bumper crop of bfps ahoy.

Mmm takeaway. I've got boring leftovers Envy

KatOnATinRo0f · 29/03/2016 19:05

Mmmm what takeaway are you having stark?
I made my own "special fried rice tonight" but I think it went a bit soggy :( just about to try it now. It's got prawns and chicken and peas in it and everything Smile

KatOnATinRo0f · 29/03/2016 19:03

My AF is also due over the weekend... So let's make a pact. No testing. Really river of doom only.
(I'm cd 24 according to the bitch.. 2 days to test??? But actually feel like AF may be on the way in a day or so)

KatOnATinRo0f · 29/03/2016 19:02

Lol @ skip's explanation of ovia the bitch. Pretty accurate.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/03/2016 18:56

Oh fx the heady confusing days of thread 3! That's so accurate, how we all loved her, then hated her, now some still begrudge her. I've still got her, I can't bear to delete her yet, plus, all my info is on there and I haven't a clue in rl!

kat Im working on a new blog post which should be up in the next couple of days!

I am ravenous, Dh is supposed to be back now from the gym. If he's later than 7:15 I am legitimately going to kill him. I needed to eat an hour ago. I waited because he's treating us to takeaway I am getting hangry and acid refluxy (another excellent treat for y'all to look forward to! )

i'm not going full smep. just trying to do regularly until positive.... which never came, and now we just fall asleep !

if i get a positive i'll work on getting in the mood again.

islandgirl99 · 29/03/2016 18:23

moose I nearly spat out my water from laughing so hard at the thought of you murdering your oh lol! I've totally been there, thankfully my oh is now on the same page so asks in advance when FW is so don't give up hope - they can be trained!

kav i prefer FF, i got so sick of ovia that I deleted it last cycle and i can say i haven't missed it at all. I agree with fx on ovia just being a smug bitch.

hep cycle buddy! i have my fingers crossed that it's not another 39-dayer for you Easter Sad Credit to you for going with SMEP, we got too exhausted just from talking about it so ruled it out as an option.

fx / ni I've cut down but I still like a glass of wine and some maltesers at the weekend. I've thought about trying to give up completely but just not sure I could cope with the TTC rollercoaster with no vices to fall back on when AF arrives Confused

bluebird3 · 29/03/2016 18:12

Thanks feefs. It does help to remember that every day is one day closer. I've always been a bit wary of adoption but had a really vivid dream this week of adopting gorgeous twin boys, so maybe that's my future.

ni hubs is useless when it comes to caring or paying attention to Ttc stuff but will almost always dtd when I ask. We dtd usually every other day or sometimes more in FW so I don't think it's a frequency thing. I have regular periods (other than some spotting pre af) so am really wondering if it's his swimmers now. When I went to the GP she said to try 6 more months then get bloods and SA. She said it can still be normal to take up to 2 years to conceive naturally. I think I might go ahead and get bloods done in May. Can't in April as we're away on holiday. Dh won't want to get SA until it's been 18 months as he's a doctor and firmly believes in NICE guidelines. If NICE says wait 18 months then that's the law in our house. Hmm

Ni4444 · 29/03/2016 17:51

Feefs I'm gonna be a party pooper and say wait til the weekend to test. Seeing a bfn or squinter is such a stress...wait...fingers crossed AF doesn't swoop in on her broomstick and that you get a nice strong BFP! I'm gonna test Sunday maybe...test with me?

Ni4444 · 29/03/2016 17:49

Ps impressive work with the sugar Fx... I know I should do that and I know I would feel better..but I like having a bit of badness. Same with drink...I can totally see the advantage of never drinking again..but still enjoy the occasional fuzzy feeling! I have however Finally got back into an exercise routine....doing "Yoga with Adriene" 's 30 day programme free on YouTube....5 days in a row of yoga and feeling great for it! Grin

Ni4444 · 29/03/2016 17:43

Ha! Beautifully put Fx!

FXSkip · 29/03/2016 16:52

Islandgirl and Mayago I gave up sugar for lent/fun and managed 48 days. Felt crap as soon as I ate it again yesterday so its back off for me. I didn't specifically for TTC, but I recommend it if you are interested in seeing how your body functions properly! I just about had a heart attack after eating a little malteaser rabbit so I am glad I've stopped. I stopped smoking for TTC, and no longer drink so it won't be a shock if I ever get BFP, though I gather neither necessarily affect your fertility in moderation. I'm really trying to shift a bunch of excess fat for holiday/business image reasons and so that I am a bit more credible when I dole out life advice!!

Guys, you may have missed the first few threads where we all downloaded Ovia, instantly hated her and came up with a number of nasty nicknames for her, and then a large number of us deleted her. She acts like she's your friend, telling you you're fertile and all that, and even sometimes accurately predicting AF. Next minute she's like some patronising MIL congratulating you on doing the baby dance (with subtle undertones, so you can tell she's thinking 'fat lot of good all that shaggings going to do, you're not upduffed) and THEN has the audacity to tell you that you must TEST NOW LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT even though you're 3 days into your TWW and quite frankly don't feel like being told what to do by some interfering little BINT who ISN'T EVEN REAL. So you pretend to ignore her, but secretly go and POAS when you think Starky won't find out but then she does and you have to deal with the double disappointment of a BFN and no StarkyStar and then you question all your life choices.

That all happened by about thread 3.

Ni4444 · 29/03/2016 16:42

7dpo. Getting pinching inside right hip. Damn you body for trying to trick me into implantation thoughts!!!! i will not get excited, I will not get excited

Kav Ovia is prettier, but fertility friend is far better at analysing data. It uses my temp and actually gives me an ovulation date and dpo, Ovia just highlights a few days as fertile. Stick with FF I say.

Blue that sucks. Can you have a conversation with OH...if your cycle is regular even agree days that you will dtd during FW? There is nothing more frustrating than their foolish cockiness when it's not even FW!! Do they even listen????? They have one thing to do. Gah!! Are you gonna go get tested now you've reached a year (both of you..could be his swimmers?!) or just try to dtd more frequently? (easier said than done) Sending you love...this sucks Flowers

Feefeefs · 29/03/2016 16:06

12-13 DPO I think ni. Got peak on clear blue ovulation kit on 16 and 17th.

I peed on an opk yesterday moose! Couldn't resist! But only faded line.

Sorry you're feeling down bluebird I trying to stick with the mantra of just getting closer all the time I can't remember who said it! But it's hard to stay positive.

Islandgirl that is positive though nothing wrong! But frustrating I imagine!

kavanaughkj · 29/03/2016 16:05

What's the difference between Ovia and Fertility Friend? I've been using the latter but have seen the former mentioned way more on this thread - am interested if one is preferred over the other. :)

I'm due to test this week, Kat. AF is due on Friday so I was planning to test Saturday if it didn't show up, but for some reason FF is telling me I can test tomorrow. It thinks I ovulated early when I think I ovulated at the same point I normally would - I have a 25 day cycle normally so don't want to think that it could go down to 23!

Not holding out much any hope this month tbh. No cramps yet (my usual AF indicator) but I'm already starting to break out in spots which is another reliable sign she's on her way. That said, the surfeit of chocolate I've been gorging on lately can't be any good for my skin either!!

HepKestrel, if I hadn't ovulated this month I don't think I could have done the SMEP. Every other day for the rest of the month? We'd be knackered in no time!

HepKestrel · 29/03/2016 15:32

I still have no idea if I have ovulated or not.

cd 15. still opk negative (one missing test day - sunday).

if i didn't have opk, i would have said I ovulated on saturday (from (useful) symptoms, less reliable than starkys OH's nose).

Think i'll keep testing, just in case it is another 39day cycle Easter Sad, To any couple who can do the SMEP plan, i doff-my hat.

island cycle buddy, good luck to you Easter Wink

bluebird3 · 29/03/2016 15:14

Men really are clueless moose!!

I think we're cycle buddies ni...I'm also due between sat-tues. pretty sure I'm out as woke up to sore boobs today. That's typical for me a few days before af.
Feeling sad today. Another failed cycle will end a full year trying. I never thought this would happen to me and really don't know what to do now. Sad

Mooseville · 29/03/2016 14:41

Afternoon all!
Good to know all is well island although I feel your frustration!

feefs testing is just soooo tempting yet so disappointing when it's not positive. I try to hold out as long as possible - although I'm peeing on an OPK a day to keep me sane. All snowy white negative though! Ha ha

AF due on Thursday. Know I'm not upduffed this month due to lack of DTD. Did it last night and DP said, ooooh think you're pregnant this time? Nearly killed him, has he listened to one word I've said about fertile week and positive OPK's???????? OBVIOUSLY BLOODY NOT!!!!!!! And how come he's all for doing it now and not during ISW!!! I felt the rage!!!! Ha ha I managed to swallow it in and not spoil the moment however....

LovelyFishy · 29/03/2016 13:19

Good news that nothing's wrong Island! Maybe your body just needed a stern word from the doctor and it's now babytime? Grin

Ovia is confusing me today. Apparently my fertile window is predicted to start cd 12 this month (currently cd 7), but it says it started cd 9 last month. Why the sudden change of mind?

islandgirl99 · 29/03/2016 12:15

Afternoon all!

Well, that's me back from the fertility clinic and the message was just to keep trying and it'll probably happen naturally. I'm being booked in for a scan and an x-ray to check my tubes just to be sure to rule out any issues there, but she says she's not expecting them to show any problems, just to confirm that everything's fine although if it's really all fine why am i not upduffed already, aaaarrrrgggghhhh

Fx have you given up sugar for ttc? is anyone else doing this?

snow hope you're doing ok Flowers

Ni4444 · 29/03/2016 12:05

Ooh....how many dpo will you be tomorrow Feefs?

Feefeefs · 29/03/2016 11:50

OVIABITCH says I can test tomorrow and it's mighty tempting!

AF not due till Friday/Saturday at the latest.

mayago · 29/03/2016 10:03

evergreen That article was just what I needed to read this morning. Thank you!

I hope everyone had a good Easyer weekend. OH was home (we're not under the same roof most days), and we did a FRER together Sunday morning and had a BFN. I saw the disappointment in him for the first time, which was a sad but short moment! AF isn't due until the 1st, so not out yet this cycle.

We're on holiday this week - it's my Grandfather's 100th birthday, so big party with family and friends after the horrid 9 hour flight! I'm the youngest grandchild, and the only one without children and I so wanted to give him news of another great-grandchild for his birthday, but it may just not be meant to be.

starky your 90/10 anecdote has me giggling a full five minutes after I've read it.

Fx how long without sugar? Hmm I may or may not have had a creme egg for breakfast this morning.
Right/wrong.. I have no idea most of the time!!

KatOnATinRo0f · 29/03/2016 09:28

Nope. I was opking for a few months but going in blind from now on.
