Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

moose yep, remember I was 99% sure I was out and that af was mere moments away! I'd thrown in the towel and had a hissy fit and a bottle of wine ready in the fridge! Don't despair!

No symptoms has often been a good sign on this thread moose - fx for you. When do you think you might test?

Kwick709 · 30/03/2016 17:59

lovelyfishy that is hilarious but I may be the culprit - as I bought Oust and OPKs.

I usually started with OPK around day 10.
BTW I have a stash - if you would like me to send them to you just PM me.

Mooseville · 30/03/2016 17:34

Ha fishy Amazon are cheeky gits! Oust indeed!

AF due tomorrow here. Symptomless and grumpy and want chocolate so not holding out any hope! Would have had to have been a pretty determined swimmer too as we only DTD 4 days before ov.

My OPK's appear to get darker over days 12 onwards with an absolutely obvious glaringly positive one on 14-15. I was only doing one a day mid afternoon, tea time.

LovelyFishy · 30/03/2016 17:07

It must be the best and the worst with your job Pug. I used to work in the medical field and I do miss it.

Pugmummy87 · 30/03/2016 14:52

LaraG I hope that's some kind of premonition! I would love to get mine.

Sat cuddling a very cute baby at the moment whilst he's mum has a well earned sleep. Helped her with breastfeeding today, feels like a bus man's holiday for me lol. Mind you I don't actually get to really cuddle babies that much at work.
My god, my maternal instincts are kicking in majorly.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 30/03/2016 10:18

hep my opk's never did much u til cd 17-18. I was as late as cd 20 on a 33 day cycle.

ever ill pop a link up when I've added the next blog post. 😊 the ic's I had from amazon were ok, but they're not as sensitive as they claim by half. And it all depends in your hcg levels I think too.

I'm so tired today. Bloody Dh woke me up about 3 times just being loud, I got up at 6 and went I to the spare room because he was farting so badly it woke me up and knocked me sideways! He thinks he can eat spicy curry...He can not!

Yea fishy you are going to need that descaler. We just don't talk about what we do with it on here....Confused

HepKestrel · 30/03/2016 09:01

jem I ovulated early at cd11 last month. I if you start your first (and hopefully last Wink) month at cd9 you should be fine.

I started testing at cd10 this month. But i strongly suspect that i have ovulated without the opks picking it up (still negative at cd16). I am not very good at the whole not drinking/peeing for 4 hours or whatever some of them recommend.

LovelyFishy · 30/03/2016 08:48

These last few posts lead me to look on Amazon for opk's. Once clicked on said item it shows the list of "recommended for you" products which included thermometers, pre-seed and .... Oust! all purpose descaler. ConfusedGrin

KatOnATinRo0f · 30/03/2016 08:41

Ever I don't have a link but the ones I got were from Amazon and were by "one step" I think. I got. £50 for about £7. The OPKs have been great. I think the hcg's are a bit dubious, from what people are saying (are picking pregnancy up but not until after other tests)

SuchaJem · 30/03/2016 08:27

Morning ni I usually ov on day 16 so maybe I'll wait a few days. Got the Internet cheapies and I do love a good POAS!

Ni4444 · 30/03/2016 08:24

Morning Jem, temps have established that I ovulate around day 18 so I only started opks day 16 this month...if you know roughly when you O start a few days before, if you're not sure start whenever! If you have Internet cheapies poas all day every day!! Wink

SuchaJem · 30/03/2016 08:18

Morning all, cd 7 today - when do people usually start opks? I was thinking cd 10 but is that too late?

Kwick709 · 30/03/2016 08:00

Noooooooooooo kat I did not have a bath as much as I wanted one - I have been told to stay away from baths and swimming until week 12!!!!!!!!! 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Evergreen17 · 30/03/2016 07:51

Kat I agree that as much as I love the list, looking at the now very long list of graduates is not easy

Evergreen17 · 30/03/2016 07:50

Mayago you are welcome. Nice to take some of the bloody pressure off! 100th birthday!! Amazing! SmileSmile
Where is everyone reading starky's blog?????!

Can someone please send me a link to ebay/ amazon for internet cheapies poas? I have yet failed to buy my original ones and I think these ones won't work either Sad

Island not sure how much this will help but at least they havent found any obvious problems? This is what I keep telling myself waiting for my gine referralHmm

Ovia lies

This month I am only doing opks and sex when I fancy Smile

Moose they don't get it!!!

Bluebird so sorry!!! It is so bloody frustrating!!!!! When you are doing everything you can and it just does not happen!!! I dont get it. Some people saying it took them 15 months or 2 years to conceive. Why is it like this???!!!!!! AngryAngry

Ni not to burst any bubbles, but I have had the pinching and pulling at the right time at least 2 cycles and then AF Hmm

Bryso that is awful!!! Oh my! You must have been in a lot of pain!!!

LaraG13 · 30/03/2016 07:25

Just had to bob in to tell you that after having a little catch-up read of this thread last night I had a dream that you got your BFP, pug! I was all excited for you in my dream, as I always am for BFPs.

Still reading and thinking of you all. Hope you get your BFPs soon. Especially those for whom it's dragging on now. 💐

SuchaJem · 29/03/2016 21:37

Awwwww pug your lucky friend! He sounds gorgeous enjoy cuddles. I've been watching One Born Every Minute and feeling my ovaries flip (although not so much at the awful labour pains and howling - legs crossed for that bit).

ni eurgh how hard is it to put the oven on Envy

KatOnATinRo0f · 29/03/2016 21:05

Ni .... That would have annoyed me too. What is it with men? Why are they so bloody useless most of the time??

KatOnATinRo0f · 29/03/2016 21:04

Oh dear qwick those three learnings for today mean you were probably a bit grumpy and soggy :( hope you've earned u your feet and had a nice bath and lit a smelly candle to relax

Ni4444 · 29/03/2016 20:52

Oh Kwick I hear you...stranded on a tube platform in the pouring rain...texted OH to put oven on for me...he was too full to get off the couch after eating all the leftovers from the dinner i cooked for him yesterday. Go figure. I instigated a blazing row. Oops. Hate post argument silence 😔

Pugmummy87 · 29/03/2016 20:45

So my amazing best friend (who I made the baby shower cake for earlier this month) gave birth to her beautiful baby boy at 4am this morning after being induced, only 6 hours of labour with no pain relief, I am so fucking proud of her and baby is so scrummy, I can feel my ovaries twitching!
Her poor DH isn't entitled to paternity leave as he only started a new job a few months ago so he is having to go back to work tomorrow. As I'm on a day off, I'm going to go down and sit with her on the ward and help her.

Hoping the cuddles may set my ovaries off, had several high readings on the cb opks since Sunday.

Have the difficult job of getting DH to dtd tonight, I feel shit forcing it on him, but if I left it up to him, we'd only dtd once a week! He seems to think that would be enough, despite me saying otherwise!

Kwick709 · 29/03/2016 19:44

Learnings from today:

  1. always leave home with an umbrella, even if the sun is out and there is not a cloud insight
  2. don't even bother to get out of bed if you have an inkling that one of your three bosses might have a go at you
  3. Uggs are great at soaking up puddles
Kwick709 · 29/03/2016 19:39

kat as far as I understand it progesterone is really critical post implantation - it is what keeps the womble lining nice and juicy for the embryo. I clearly am not producing enough au naturel - hence why I am injecting and putting up each orifice on regular intervals Confused

islandgirl I am very pleased that you have been referred for a scan and xray (but how can they check your tubes with an xray?). Anything that can give peace of mind is worth it. Are you not able to have the test where they put dye through the tubes? I think it is called a hycosy.
I had a hysteroscopy (where under general) they shove a camera up your fanjo into your womble and have a look-see that everything is okay... I reckon that really helped me, even if they did not find anything, it may have just "cleared the way". I am not sure if they did a "scratch" as well (does what it says on the tin) - this can also help implantation.

bluebird what a bummer. Have you thought about going to a FC - there are loads of tests they can do to check what is what.
