Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Ni when is AF actually due? Is she late now

Did another one this morning Kat it looks much the same did an Internet cheapie last night too and also faint line. Going to wait a few days now do another and then ring and book the GP! DH is being a complete misery guts about it ( he thinks "realistic" and "managing expectations") do I would love to get a nice dark line now! Might buy one of the digital ones at the weekend so it actually says "pregnant" to convince DH

KatOnATinRo0f · 05/04/2016 07:05

Wahey feef! That looked like a line to me... Eagerly awaiting a stronger line this morning! Come on lady, get up and pee!!

Stark you really are the test police. But you are so right. I am in two minds whether to buy more OPKs this month (I have 5 or so left from a few months ago) or if I should just carry on as last month with my chill pills. DH has now got more stressed about it "why aren't you pregnant yet????" I've been going "dh... Hun... Chill. It'll happen when it happens" and buggering off to the gym. (I spent too long loitering around in bed with my blusher on and got fat)

SuchaJem · 04/04/2016 23:43

Pug that is so strange Confused 9 days of high fertility? Do you think it could be worth getting some medical advice?

Pugmummy87 · 04/04/2016 23:30

Awww congratulations feef! I can definitely see two lines there.

My cycle is confusing me. I don't know what the hell is going on.
Continuing to use the clear blues and today is my 9th day of high fertility. However I used a cheapy opk and as you can see in the photo, most definitely a positive!

FF today has suddenly said I'm 6dpo based on my temperatures. They look like the Rocky mountains though, so I don't understand how it has worked that out.

Currently getting pinching pain on my right hand side.
No sign of any ewcm.

It's like my body is trying to be all bloody cryptic about ovulation. I can't be arsed with this.

Welcome Julia!

Glad to hear things are going well again Jem Grin

Still waiting for AF....should pop up tomorrow I guess! Nothing else to report here. But coq10, b vitamin complex, agnus castus all due to arrive at my door Wednesday! Ball-ache is we'll be at my parents this FW!!.... February baby at this rate?! If ever!!

Lovely can you just get him so turned on that he forgets about everything else?!Wink Or maybe just give him lots of general attention outside the bedroom to boost his ego a bit. It's not nice when us or them get stressed Confused

SuchaJem · 04/04/2016 22:05

Things are much better thanks lovely we are fine now. I've put it behind me and he is very sweet and has bought me lovely wine and flowers and cooked a yummy tuna steak dinner for me this evening so we are back on track.

Are you opking? Any sign of eggo for you yet?

Feefeefs · 04/04/2016 21:47

Damn clever one fishy! But maybe a break would help everyone needs to be happy about it or at least okay!!

LovelyFishy · 04/04/2016 21:45

He's quite a smart boy with science and facts and all that (unlike clutzy me!), don't think I could fool him for long! Maybe I should say we'll give ttc a rest for a month or two? I totally don't want to but keeping us both happy and sane has got to take priority.

Yay for cycle twins Sucha! How are things settling with your DH?

Feefeefs · 04/04/2016 21:35

Thanks ever and lovely! Poor DH lovely wouldn't wish the stress on anyone? Is there any chance of convincing him you got your maths wrong have a nice DTD and then realise you were "right" all along? Sometimes if my DH gets stressed then is a bit tricked out of his stress all is well again?

SuchaJem · 04/04/2016 20:02

starky I've missed your stern POAS advice! Glad to hear all going well.

Hello kat how are you doing?

fishy oh no the crazy catching is dangerous news! I hope he calms down and you can crack on. I'm day 12 today - which makes us almost cycle twins Smile

LovelyFishy · 04/04/2016 19:47

Feef I also see a line, congratulations!! GrinFlowers

Sorry the witch got you Kav. SadWineCake

So DH seems to have really got on board with ttc this month, currently cd 13. However... I think he's got a bit of our crazy, he's stressing himself out so much that couldn't dtd last night! This is very new for him and stressing him out even more. I've chilled out a lot more this month. I've tried reassuring him but like us is this just something I need to let him go through, get out of his system?

KatOnATinRo0f · 04/04/2016 19:32

Hello everyone, just checking in! I hadn't posted in so long that the thread was removed from my "I'm on" so I had to go find it again. Haven't caught up yet so I hope there were lots of happy BFPs over the weekend. AF has gone now so I have a week off before ISW begins again. Can't even be arsed anymore. Lol.

Evergreen17 · 04/04/2016 18:53

Feefs I can see a lineSmileStarStarStarStarStarStar

Peaches8Posies · 04/04/2016 18:39

Yip, everything stark said ⬆

how are you stark*? Hope your well ☺

Julia2016 · 04/04/2016 18:39

Thanks Starky for your post, I need to let it be for now. Fingers crossed for everyone who is waiting. 😊

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/04/2016 18:06

julia the most important thing is don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww it will mess with your head. So will testing early. There is very little point to testing before at minimum 12 dpo. It's best to wait till 14-16 dpo/af being actually late. I had all of my usual af symptoms and zero bfp symptoms. If I hadn't tested, I'd still think af was coming and I'm 6+4 with long cycles.

Most symptoms, sore boobs, feeling sick etc can be because you're producing progesterone whether you're getting af or a bfp. Thats just how the cucle works. So don't set too much stock in symptom spotting, it will drive you insane. If you're going to test early, then only use fmu, it's the most concentrated. Doing a 3-4 hour hold at this point in your cycle is fairly pointless because you will have been taking in fluid so your urine will be diluted. Testing early is tempting but often more disappointing. You may get a faint bfp, only for af to turn up as usual. Chemical pregnancies are common, if you don't test, you wouldn't know.

Hcg is produced once implantation has occurred. This can take anything from 7-12 days. And even then you may not be producing enough hcg for it to register on a test (even a super sensitive early test). It will happen. But, testing obsessively won't make it happen any quicker and it's more likely to be disappointing if af turns up.

I sound harsh, but really, step away from the tests. Leave it for a few days. Then test. After 14dpo/af day then feel free to test at will. But doing it before will only stress you out.

And kav thanks kav!

Feefeefs · 04/04/2016 17:31

Julie my period is 4 days late and I only just got that faint bfp this am all negative before that. Otherwise minimal symptoms, had more energy than normal, bolted and boobs a bit sore but not especially. Think I'm falling into the camp that most in this group have! Bad PMS symptoms, minimal bfp symptoms! I hope you're different!

Thanks celi, hep, starky, ski, moose, sucha and fx! Such a supportive bunch! Hopefully I can get a stronger one tomorrow and start to believe it!!!

HepKestrel · 04/04/2016 16:12

Julia, your symptoms I am afraid are too early to mean anything. you have to wait. sorry! you may have hcg but the levels have to be above a certain amount to be detectable.

celizabe · 04/04/2016 16:02

Congratulations feef ... it's great to see another BFP Smile

Think I'm due to ovulate today (in the office so haven't had a chance to OPK, but they've been faint everyday since last Monday) so I'm going to head home and jump poor DH's bones and then go to sleep ... I'm k-o'd today.

My appetite is through the roof today too, feeling like drowning myself in a box of Pringles!

Julia2016 · 04/04/2016 15:36

I tested and got a bfn. 😔 silly me!

Can I ask, if I was pregnant, don't sore boobs and nausea come from the hormone released once implantation occurs? So if I was pregnant that hormone, hcg should show up now? Or are these symptoms too early to really have for pregnancy?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 04/04/2016 14:45

julia faaaaaaar too early to test.leave it at least till 12 dpo. No point in wasting tests. It will my mess with your head mate! Tricky as it is, just let nature take its course for the next few days and see what happens! Chances are at 8 dpo any symptom would be psychosematic anyway.

SkiAngel · 04/04/2016 14:20

Congrats feef! That's definitely 2 lines to me.

I'm now 12dpo and due Af tues/wed I think. I had been feeling quite hopeful (although I was really, really trying not to think about it) but I have some very, very mild cramp going on today, so thinking AF will be showing up soon Sad.

HepKestrel · 04/04/2016 13:47

congrats feef!

Mooseville · 04/04/2016 12:39

feef Brilliant news!!!! Congrats!!
I'm on a course for the next two weeks (and over ISW) so trying to forget about it all this month. Hopefully that'll give DP some breathing space too and another month closer to us buying a place and panicking about money and baby!

I wonder how any of our men hold down good jobs and get through every day life when they can be so dense sometimes!!!! Lol
