Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

so happy for you !

LovelyFishy · 11/04/2016 17:51

2 lines, is that a bfp I hear? Congratulations!! GrinFlowers

Flashinthepan · 11/04/2016 17:44

I really hope someone is here. I just poas and two lines straight away. I can't believe it after what's been happening to my body the last few days. And I've been drinking wine, not loads, just the odd glass. And forgetting to take my folic acid sometimes because I got af, or so I thought and we weren't planning to try this month. I'm freaking out. Sorry if anyone thinks this is insensitive, I know how long some of you have been trying and I do desperately want a baby I'm just totally shocked.

Ha ha flash don't even know where that "negotiations" came from!!! Lack of sleep showing!! Mood swings continue tho despite nausea and lack of sleep happy as a clam today!

Kwick709 · 11/04/2016 13:49

miley sounds awful! Hang in there!

Kwick709 · 11/04/2016 13:45

Thanks mooseville in clinic now... TBH I am bricking it!!!!

HepKestrel · 11/04/2016 12:47

Flowers for you miley

I think my OH is finally learning about the realities of the process versus the myth..... SIL went to hospital to be induced saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon he commenting how long it was taking! (we are still waiting for news!).

He really hasn't got a clue poor love! tee hee.

Ni4444 · 11/04/2016 12:27

You poor love Miley! What a lie you were sold! Pregnancy glow...Maybe they meant the sweaty faced glow of the nauseous and regularly vomiting! 9 weeks is such a long slog....I hope you get some relief for the rest of the pregnancy. How are your work being about your sick leave?

Flashinthepan · 11/04/2016 11:11

Thanks Jem. After years of contraception you want your body to do all the things you've stopped it doing and it decides to do something different.

Ni444 I definitely considered a pg test but hadn't thought of using an OPK. I think I will buy on the way home tonight, sortof do all I can to get any information. If I'm ovulating it could be ovulation bleeding I suppose?

Mileymoocow · 11/04/2016 11:08

Hi ni! I'm still here lurking away. I'm doing absolutely shit, but please don't look at my pregnancy as normal - it's anything but! I'm into my 9th week of sickness now and nothing seems to help me. I'm not keeping a thing down so I may have to go to hospital again for fluids etc. Into my 2nd trimester now and am still holding out for that pregnancy glow people keep telling me about.

Ni4444 · 11/04/2016 11:06

Flash is it worth taking opk and pg test just to check what the hormones are doing?

SuchaJem · 11/04/2016 11:02

flash I know what you mean about needing to know. I think I might have had a chemical on cycle 2 - I felt different and then got my period really early and felt convinced something was different. It's really hard not knowing and not being able to find out!

From what you've said it sounds likely it was - it seems strange you've got this mid cycle bleeding in particular.

If it is then it's not necessarily a bad thing - it shows things are happening and hopefully means it'll happen again and be able to take better hold.

Take care and better luck next cycle.

Flashinthepan · 11/04/2016 10:59

Yes, this month we are not trying as have a lot of house stuff beginning and hubby didn't want the stress of that to overshadow TTC, just a PITA to feel like AF is not really going away.

We'll all be here with much cake for you next cycle Hep. I find tea keeps everything calm but not everyone likes tea, and most people like cake.

Also, loving the nighttime negotiations Feef!

HepKestrel · 11/04/2016 10:46

hi flash

ok, so you can rule out any lingering pill related hormone issues. its the complete lack of control that is tough isn't it ? symptoms can mean something or nothing.... throw a bug or stress into the mix just for fun ..... I think you will never know why one particular cycle is odd.... (my random 39 day cycle compared to my fairly regular 29 days...).

I know this is easier said than done, but my only advice is to try to take the stress out of it. (And yes... it is far easier to dish out advice than take it yourself Wink)

In a funny way, I am enjoying a stress free tww..... knowing when i ovulated means that i know i am not (99.9999999%) pg. just waiting for AF so i can start the next cycle!

I will warn everyone that psycologically next month will be hard for me.... as it is the last before i clock up another year ...

Also, recent grads - please stay around!

Feefeefs · 11/04/2016 10:33

Yeah I agree with jam re just being slightly pudgy but not pudgy enough. I'm a size fourteen anyway tho so I think i just look like I've put on a few pounds. And I also have the extra ear wax!!!

I also wake up every 2 hours during negotiations the night!

Flashinthepan · 11/04/2016 10:24

Hi Hep. I was on the pill, came off it in October last year, think this is cycle 7 since coming off. If it wasn't for the boobs and the spotting since AF I don't think I would think anything of the rest of it. And I know it doesn't make any difference, I'm just someone who likes to know definitively (which I realise probably isn't possible.) I was secretly hoping that the sore boobs were growing pains and I was suddenly going to develop mega boobs, but alas, I think that's wishful thinking!

HepKestrel · 11/04/2016 10:17

Hi Flash
before ttc were you on the pill? it can take upto 6 months for cycle to become settled after coming off the pill. I don't really have any ideas or experience (to my knowledge) with chemical pregnancies.

all i can offer is an ear and Flowers.

Flashinthepan · 11/04/2016 09:12

Morning ladies. I'm after a bit of advice/reassurance/slap around the face with a wet fish. Briefly, Last month (first of TTC), I had really really sore boobs for nearly 2 weeks before expected AF, then had some spotting and AF arrived 2/3 days early, lasted for 4/5 days (couple of days shorter than normal). I'm now CD12 of next cycle, apparent ovulation day according to Clue, but I've been spotting for the last few days, the soreness in my boobs never went away throughout AF or since, although a bit less tender the last couple of days and (sorry TMI) last night the bleeding was a bit more and there were a couple of small clots and some slight cramps this morning. All of this is really unusual for me and I know could be a hormone blip or just me stressing last month about everything but wondered if it's possible it was a chemical pregnancy? I know its too late to test now but any suggestions would be welcome.

Sorry its so long, and hope it doesn't seem insensitive for anyone who knows they've definitely had a chemical or a miscarriage, I'm just not sure what to do/think.

Mooseville · 11/04/2016 09:07

Sad news about your job jem but at least you've made the decision now and you can look forward to your 6 weeks off!!

I don't even want to think about pregnancy and giving birth. TTC is scary enough - one step at a time!! Lol

Frustrating week for me this week, ISW and I'm 200 miles away from DP. Trying to use it as a break and a chance to get healthy and chill out, but two weeks eating and drinking in a hotel isn't helping that really!

Good luck for your scan kwick

SuchaJem · 11/04/2016 08:51

Morning Smile

Am knackered today after being unable to drag myself away from the Masters last night. What a finish!

Fairly certain I'm 3dpo today. Started the TWW with an hour or so of niggling stabbing sensations for over an hour yesterday. So so crazily hopeful it was something getting comfy.

It's also d day today so I'm feeling sick about that. I'm going to stay where I am. The maternity deal at the new place would make things really hard for us, and negate the pay rise I would be getting.

How's everyone doing? Who's testing soon? Shall we have a go at doing some stats?

jam that sound bizarre! Can't wait to join you guys.

Jamjar12 · 11/04/2016 08:42

Haha Ni, that pretty much sums it up for me! Bloating too and being stuck in that awkward place of being too chunky for your normal clothes but not wanting to buy a size bigger or maternity before you're 12 weeks. Confused partners who do the wrong thing all the time because they don't understand your irrational hormones. Having to lie to everyone until you think it's safe to announce it to the world.
The worst part is the 'inbetween' lol. I'm bone tired but I can't sleep. I'm hungry but food turns my stomach. I'm really nauseous but I can't throw up. It's so fun! I was desperate for chocolate yesterday so went out and bought tons of it. By the time I got back, I couldn't even stand the thought of eating a bite of chocolate. It's very frustrating!
(And the earwax thing is still happening by the way! Wasn't a flukey symptom, I'm still gross!)

Ni4444 · 11/04/2016 08:33

Well come on then grads, lay it out for us so we're not bowled over by this.... So far you've mentioned the nausea (poor Miley, hows she doing?!), excessive ear wax, mood swings, bleeding gums, gas, glacial time feel, anxiety about everything to do with pg, gassy explosions, tender boobs. What other joys are in store?!

Feefeefs · 10/04/2016 21:19

I'm reading "what to expect when you're expecting" but also more online and listening to the 40 weeks pregnancy podcast. I was the same so focused on bfp wasn't thinking about the p!
