Hi MNers,
I'm new on here and myself and OH are in early stages of trying for a baby.
He has two children from a previous relationship, I have none.
I had my coil removed last week (a week today) and I've had a variety of answers when I've asked how long it generally takes for my cycle to come back. I have ovulation sticks but as expected only a week in nothing as of yet. Can anyone share their experiences with me please?
Thanks xx
Grin

That sounds great Jod! get to it ;-)

Jod1985 · 22/04/2016 22:36

Hi guys, soooooo 4.5 weeks after getting my coil removed and no AF.I was so confused after what was gong on that I started to use OPKs and today I got three very positive results! That coupled with EWC (lots of it) has me convinced I am going to ovulate! I'm cramping too. Sore boobs and a little nauseous. I'm convinced that this is the second time I have ovulated since getting the coil removed.

Mammabear31 · 22/04/2016 07:35

Glad it went well Abby!! Now the fun begins :)

AbbyH · 21/04/2016 22:08

It wasn't too bad, my gp had to dig around a lot for my threads which wasn't very comfortable but the removal in general was fine didn't even know she had taken it out!! :) no pain at all after either which I am surprised about as the pain after having it put in were similar to early stages of labour lol.
Time to get excited about TTC now Grin x

Mammabear31 · 21/04/2016 21:38

How did you get on Abby?

Lucy1308 · 20/04/2016 20:16

Good luck!! Not that you'll need it- you'll hardly notice anything has happened (well, apart from the terrible small talk they'll make whilst trying to distract you from the fact that they are shining a bloody spotlight up your hoohah!!)

AbbyH · 20/04/2016 20:04

Ahhhhhh coil comes out tomorrow!!! Eeeek
Wish me luck :) :) :)

Jod1985 · 19/04/2016 08:47

Oh and did you have symptoms like AF / PG symptoms while you were waiting?

Jod1985 · 19/04/2016 08:46

muskateermummy what coil did you have? Where you still ovulating? What did gp give you?

Muskateersmummy · 19/04/2016 08:40

after my coil was removed it took 6 months for periods to return after some medical intervention to kick start things. If your af doesn't return please get and appointment to see your GP, they can help

Lucy1308 · 19/04/2016 08:35

I can't even begin to imagine how she managed 7 weeks!! I don't know how I will react to my first AF whilst TTC- I'd rather she towed up early than late, less time to get excited!!! Probably a good idea about he blood test- can't do any harm right?!

Mammabear31 · 19/04/2016 07:55

7 weeks?! That's crazy!!!
I'm going to my GP on Friday for something unrelated but will ask about a blood test if I'm still not getting anywhere. Said to DH this morning that I wish one would show its face - I hate not knowing!

Lucy1308 · 19/04/2016 06:28

I've just been reading about a lady who was 7 weeks over before she got her BFP. I suppose you're not out til the witch arrives ;) fingers crossed you get some answers soon!!!

Mammabear31 · 19/04/2016 06:24

Yet again, no AF but a BFN on 2 tests. What is going on Confused

Mammabear31 · 18/04/2016 18:34

Still no clue with me either - AF now 2 days overdue but only getting BFN. Haven't tested today but have bought a first response to try tomorrow morning. No symptoms of either PG or AF so no fucking clue.

How are you doing Jod? Any progress?

AbbyH · 18/04/2016 11:35

I'm hoping for a Feb baby too :) :) I'm April, OH is June, DD is September so would spread out quite nicely :)

Lucy1308 · 18/04/2016 10:46

Well if totally unfounded hope and lots of fingers crossing helps then I'm sure we will all be PG before we know what's happening!! Would love a BFP in May as that would make me a Feb baby most probably so would match OH :D

AbbyH · 18/04/2016 10:15

jod I'm the same just excited to get my coil out. I have high hopes of falling PG quickly so really worried I will be disappointed if I don't. Most threads I've read people who have come off mirena coil fell PG within a month or 2, but I see the odd one that's taken a lot longer....knowing my luck that will be me :( x

Jod1985 · 17/04/2016 19:53

I am that person who has no clue what is going on. 1 month since mirena removal.Sad

Lucy1308 · 17/04/2016 19:32

Hope AF either arrives or you get your BFP! I was really worried that AF wouldn't turn up for me and then I'd have no way of working out what was going on. Don't think we've ever looked forward to a period so much!

As a side note- who invented period pains? Holy bejesus I have NOT missed these guys.....

Mummyandwife85 · 17/04/2016 12:19

I'm in a similar boat to you huni, since 28th had mine out and still nothing happening. . feel crazy now tbh cos I just wish AF would arrive then I know I can really ttc so fed up of the coil dramas now lol xox

Mummyandwife85 · 17/04/2016 12:16

Lucy1308 · 17/04/2016 10:00

So AF arrived this morning- never had anything more than barely visible spotting with my coil so this must be the real deal right?! Anyway I'm off to find my "ladies products" and work out when I should ovulate!!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!!

Jod1985 · 16/04/2016 17:39

I'm still getting cramps. I got my coil removed on 23rd March. I haven't had AF yet. I felt I ovulated on 28th and I had a few faint positives but they didn't get any stronger so I suspect a chemical PG. I'm just waiting and wondering what is going on.

Mammabear31 · 16/04/2016 17:32

Hi Nimisha, yeah I did get cramps too. It was horrible waiting for it to finish so we could get going; so I feel your pain!

I am now due AF tomorrow, and have been getting steady BFN for 3 mornings in a row. Today, however; I have been having strange "symptoms" - my stomach has bloated and gone rock hard from pretty much under my breasts down to my pubic bone. My boobs have been a bit sore/tender and I felt sick in the car earlier; which was a symptom I had before I got my BFP with DS. So I am feeling a little excited but trying to hold back.
