Nephew is 7 months, always smiling and loves bouncing up & down! Aw cute that he looks like you- does make you wonder what your own might look like doesnt it, although perhaps I'm jumping way ahead there!

I've not relly been tracking anything, didnt really have any plan when I stopped the pill, just see what happens. Must admit ive now become a lot more aware thats its not just as easy at dtd- much like you get taught at school!

Anyone had any developments?!

Cooincidently, i have a womens health screening on thursday which i booked a while back through work- be interesting to see how healthy etc I am!

Tweetypie95 · 21/03/2016 14:36

I thought it could have been a sign but I've not really had any symptoms alerting me to back up that theory as of yet. Maybe a sign of something to come soon! Have been getting cramps and aches yesterday and today, on and off so whoo knows, maybe AF is coming soon!

How old is your nephew Catmum ? I've got one at 3 months and he is gorgeous! So chilled! He looks like i did when i was a baby! It's like looking into the future! haha!

Oh no mummy2squish thats just taunting you! How mean! hope things become much more clear for you!!

I'm going with the flow at the moment ... I want to see what my cycle is like and then i think i might try temping, maybe after the first or second AF! Thats if it ever comes! Arrrrgh!

Well my body is playing tricks, started spotting yesterday and got a positive opk this morning. Stopping has stopped!! Day 53 for me.

Eeek day 93 I got to 82 when TTC DS so I really feel your pain. Are you tracking your temps or just going with it?

CatMum87 · 20/03/2016 20:54

Belleoftheball14 · 18/03/2016 21:19

Was on the pill for 11 years! Always had irregular periods before so nervous to see if they've regulated Hmm

Thanks for sharing Twinklelittlestar, that's great it's got you drinking more water.

Hi everyone,

Can I join? I'm new and relaxed TTCing #1 this year.
Came off the pill (Jasmin) early Feb, had usual withdrawal bleed and been waiting for AF since (CD38 today).

Would be nice to share experiences during the wait!

Had some slight cramping last weekend but it just turned into a bad cold this week Sad
Hopefully it hasn't offset hormones...

Second tweetypie's question about supplements Smile

Twinklelittlestar1 · 17/03/2016 16:47

Hey Tweety, I did a bit of reading around things to help hormonal balance. I think the magnesium has definitely helped. I got 'natural calm, superior magnesium powder' off amazon and drink that every day in a pint of water. It's good because it also makes me drink more but I'm pretty sure that taking magnesium has been one of the most beneficial things I've done.

I also take 'trying for a baby' which ensures you get enough zinc and b vitamins (apparently good for balancing hormones)

I also read about using seeds to balance your hormones and have started taking 1tbsp of sesame seeds a day as they apparently block excess estrogens.

Tweetypie95 · 17/03/2016 15:14

Oh good Catmum, me too! Yeah it really is, before this I felt so alone! Glad I have people to talk to now! I really thought today was the day as i had a few pains just like AF but then quickly went away with nothing! Wahhhhh!

Thank you Mummy2squish for sharing! Giving hope to those still waiting!

Twinklelittlestar - Things seem to be looking good for you then! Thanks for the advice! Where is it you get your supplements!

I have been having a look into supplements, just don’t know where to start!! Any advice?

OP posts:
CatMum87 · 17/03/2016 11:12

Thanks mummy2squish reasuring to know that there might be light at the end of the tunnel- will hold on in there and wait for af to turn up! After having spent all these years dreading the monthly ritual, I would love it right now!

That's very interesting twinklelittlestar thanks for sharing. Defintely going to have a look more closely at diet etc. I havent really had many symptoms since stopping the pill tbh, and do eat quite a healthy diet and exercise a fair bit but perhaps looking at some supplements cant do any harm! And I definitely need to drink more water! Caffeine though- thats dedication!

Anyone else made any/thinking of making any changes or taking supplements?

nataliefruit · 17/03/2016 07:54

Sorry Tweetypie, I forgot to say that I'm just expecting AF not pregnant as we've been using condoms until after our holiday to give my cycle some time to get back to normal.

nataliefruit · 17/03/2016 07:51

Update = no sign of AF at all. Kind of nerve wracking possibly starting AF at any point - I've taken to making sure I have a couple of tampons in my bag at all times just in case! How's everyone else doing?

Twinklelittlestar1 · 16/03/2016 21:45

Hi all,

I came off the pill in December and have since had 37 and 31 day cycles. I felt AWFUL for the first two months- cramps, migraines, mood swings and generally feeling 'rough'. I also had brown spotting right before my periods for a full week. I ended up doing a lot of research and found that all my symptoms were probably due to imbalanced hormones.

Since then I made a lot of changes to my diet and supplements and I'm sure it's made a massive difference. I had lots more ewcm this month, a strong positive ovulation test (on cd12 -so a much more regular time of the month putting me on track for a 28 day cycle at last) migraines and unwell feelings have disappeared and I feel generally 'happier'. Oh, and no brown spotting at all so far (cd24)

Incase anyone is interested, these are the changes I made

  • drinking loads more water
  • quit caffiene
-increased my carbs and protein as I realised I wasn't getting enough -took vitamin e supplement, 'trying to conceive supplement' and magnesium (natural calm) each day

These things seem to definitely have helped my cycles but if nothing else I'm feeling great. Good luck all

Mummy2squish · 15/03/2016 15:48

Just popping in to say when trying for my DS i went 89 days then 72, 48, 40 and then conceived, so hang in there! I feel your pain though!

I'm back on it again and have gone 66, 33, 38, and currently on day 50 so who knows what's going on!

I guess some of us just take longer to adjust,

Will keep everything crossed for you all!

Tweetypie95 · 15/03/2016 15:25

I would love my Af right now! I'm sure that is the only time I will ever say that! ha!

I've got a feeling I'm in it for the long run though. I've not had my first real AF yet so I don't know where you calculate from.

Do you think your pregnant nataliefruit? or just anticipating your first AF?

I don't know why I ever worried when i would miss the odd pill. Who knew making a baby was so hard.

Tweetypie I've been counting since my first withdrawal bleed after coming off the pill. Not sure if that's the right thing to do, over 90 days since I finished my last pack, gulp! Do we just carry on waiting?!

Its good to have somewhere to come and chat and hear what others are up to on the ttc journey 😀

user1458050975 · 15/03/2016 14:31

Hi everyone,

I'm new! (This is my 1st post so please be kind).

I took my last pill on 31/01/16 (femodene). I've been on various pills for the last 7 years. I had my withdrawal bleed the day after and then had a very strange March with AF for the past 2 weeks (started off spotting for a week then progressed to heavy).

Hopefully it's just getting used to having to work everything without pills telling it what to do!

We're holding off ttc until next month anyway so fingers crossed AF will be normal next month Smile

nataliefruit · 14/03/2016 20:44

Do you count the first day after af as CD1? If so then I'm CD 23 & Ovia thinks I'm due my period this week so we'll see what happens. Feeling like a bloated whale so it might not be that wrong! It's only my first cycle after withdrawal bleed so it's pretty uncharted territory for me!

Laurabeth94 · 14/03/2016 20:07

Hey everyone, well I'm on cd 45 and my af arrived a couple of hours ago! I'm kind of bummed I'm not pregnant but at the same time I'm glad my af has arrived so now I can start keeping track of everything! How is everyone anyway, apart from going insane because of the long cycles! Lol

Tweetypie95 · 14/03/2016 19:15

Still no AF either! Getting over the last bight of a cold! Still congested! You're right Catmum, you do overthink everything! Everything that I think is strange for me I start to overthink it! When is it you counted your first cycle day Catmum?

OP posts:
Faye12345 · 14/03/2016 18:50

I was day 67 before af came! Im having accupuncture on Friday to help with ovulation and fertility!

CatMum87 · 14/03/2016 12:33

Hi everyone, just wondering how you are all getting on?? No change for me, day 87 no af booo! It is funny how you start overthinking thinks and start paying attention to every little niggle!! Xx

nataliefruit · 10/03/2016 07:20

Hey tweetypie, I have as well. Though I'm positive of the date I ovulated as I had a dull pain on my left side, had an increase & then decrease in temp & had a very positive opk so it'll be interesting to see if the same happens next month. It really makes you wonder what the pill must do to your body!

Tweetypie95 · 09/03/2016 23:13

Any of you experiencing a fair amount of EWCM with coming off th pill!? My body is doing its best to throw me off the scent of Ovulation! Today is probs the most I've had since off the pill! Argh!

OP posts:
Azure83 · 09/03/2016 22:50

Hi everyone, thought I'd join in with a similar experience. Ttc #1 after 13 years on the pill. I had no idea what would happen and how my body would react! My withdrawal bleed started on 12 Feb, I'm pretty sure I ovulated on cd13 (can't mistake that pain for anything else) but af arrived cd25.

In the meantime I have of course convinced myself that we managed to get pregnant, good timing, ecwm present, sore bobs, cramps and all sorts of other symptoms afterwards. I'm now thinking, Ok, I've allowed myself one cycle of craziness and symptom spotting, I also may have done a few pregnancy tests, will chill out now. I'm just happy that things are more or less back to normal.

One thing I would add for those using Ovia - be careful that you don't miss your fertile window. I used to be very regular so set my cycle length at 28 days. Even though my cycle (granted the first one off the pill) was 25 days long, the app still uses 28 day cycles to map out your upcoming ovulation date. So, if my next cycle was 28 days long, I should ovulate on the 19th of march, on another 25 day cycle it would be the 16th.
The fertile window is very different for those two dates!

Aaanyway, back to having a chilled out month of relaxed ttc...
