Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

100% out. I hate Ttc.

SuchaJem · 22/03/2016 18:10

AF due tomorrow. So over the TWW. I'm like 98% sure I'm not preggo but I guess you don't know until you know /wisdom.

Boobs still sore but no other cramps or pains to speak of. Mood wise I'm quite serene today, which is a nice change from the weeping.

kwick are you testing yet? Fx for all testers.

Evergreen15 · 22/03/2016 17:38

Kat prescribe us with whatever calming substances you have been taking

Evergreen15 · 22/03/2016 17:37

Thanks ladies Smile A massive part of my worry and stress is age. I only need to try for 6 months to be able to ask the GP, and I am now starting cycle #5 and just mad at this thing being such a lottery.
I like control and organisation.
But there is no control here. I dont like it

Pugmummy87 · 22/03/2016 17:26

Ever Flowers

Lyssie and kwick have you tested?!

Kat put me down for 18th April please.

kavanaughkj · 22/03/2016 16:35

Hugs Ever, that bites. :(

Kat, you can count me as another April 1. Like Feefs I'm hoping that's a good omen!

Ni4444 · 22/03/2016 16:21

Thanks for the info CT...You're right, there's no harm going and asking!

Kat what chill pills are you on?! 😜 Gorgeous day out there today!! Pimms and summer on the way!!! 👍

KatOnATinRo0f · 22/03/2016 16:16

I think I'm cycle 8 now?? I don't think I'll go to go until a year. They won't do anything. I'm 28. I have a feeling I will get to a year though. It's gone pretty quickly actually. The next few months will go quickly too I'm sure. Especially now summer is coming :)

(I'm not being very helpful lately, am I??)

Cthulhoo · 22/03/2016 13:02

Ni

We started trying beginning of June and I went to the GP around December. I didn't go for anything specific; I just wanted to check in with my GP because she knew we were trying, I was (and am for another four weeks) 39 and wanted to ask whether there's anything we could do or have checked. She was unconcerned with my age but suggested I do a blood test for reassurance. (And then it didn't turn out to be reassuring.)

I think there's no harm in asking - you'll either be reassured that everything is fine, or it's not but then you can do something about it, and the earlier, the better.

Ni4444 · 22/03/2016 12:27

So CT the lesson is that opks aren't 100% reliable, is that it? I wonder if temping is more reliable as it relates to progesterone levels?
Do you mind me asking what you asked for and how long you'd been trying when you went to GP. We're trying 6months now, but I wonder if it's worth going to GP to ask for bloody test if we hit cycle 7 (under 35 so they might tell me to bugger off until 1yr trying, but no harm asking what do people think?)

Cthulhoo · 22/03/2016 11:55

Kat, GP didn't say anything positive, for her the value was under 30 and therefore (too) low. But I'm seeing a specialist this Thursday who'll hopefully be able to shed some more light on this. It's certainly the closest I've been to 30 and assuming that levels peaked exactly 7dpo this to me seems well within range. It would also mean that partner and I have dtd too late into my cycle for the entire time. :-p

KatOnATinRo0f · 22/03/2016 11:46

Ct hi :)

I have no idea about tests and progesterone levels and what they should be but if your GP says that is good the WineThanks yippee

Cthulhoo · 22/03/2016 11:07

emerges from the shadows, waves
I think I just had a tiny bit of good news for a change but I'm not quite sure.

My GP had me do yet another blood test, this time assuming that I have a perfectly normal post-luteal phase of exactly 14 days and just ovulate very early. I was extremely skeptical because all the opk kits reliably show a different ovulation date, and with a progression from fertile days to peak fertility. But my partner who's a biologist was much less skeptical because human biology is messy and just because the kits say I ovulate doesn't mean I actually do.

So I had a blood test done on day 17 of an assumed 24 day cycle (which would have been 7dpo). Of course this month my cycle was then even shorter than usual and came out at 22 days.

But! Progesterone levels at day 17 (which I now know to be 9dpo) were 27.9!

That's ... that's good news, right?

Ni4444 · 22/03/2016 10:59

I had read that alright Hep but these are advertised as not having that side effect (and I haven't had any problems on them!!)

HepKestrel · 22/03/2016 10:46

Ni take care with iron supplements, they can cause constipation ... I know that some pregnant ladies avoid them for this reason.

islandgirl99 · 22/03/2016 10:44

hep looks like we need tickets for the same day, do you know when you're expecting O to happen? just wondering if we're cycle twins!

kat please put me down for 13th April, seems like ages away but that's what FF is telling me. The long list of grads is good to see though, boosts the hopeful feelings so thanks for doing the list!

Feefeefs · 22/03/2016 10:40

So sorry ever it really it shit.

I'm 1st of April Kat really hoping that's not some kind of premonition that AF will fool me! Impressed with your lack of stress.

KatOnATinRo0f · 22/03/2016 10:23

This list task is a good'un. Rae has her BFP doesn't she??
No stats unfortunately until list is up to date but it's looking good! I think more than 50%pregnant now (either that or we are now a boring thread and everyone has left us to join more exciting threads)

I am ? Dpo so will just say that I am SP. no symptoms. Not looking. Don't care. :)

Ni4444 · 22/03/2016 10:12

Yeah Ever I'm doing EPO AF to O to ensure CM is all good, then a slice of pineapple including the core O to AF to encourage implantation. I also started taking iron tablets this cycle... Read that low iron levels affect fertility so thought no harm taking them. Think I'll try agnus cactus next cycle-some wise person Starky reminded me that changing too much too quickly means you won't know what has caused what reaction! /overloading the system!
I had thought of taking extra B vits Flash but I'll double check what my multivits have

Thanks for the list Kat.

Just had a sharp right pain...hope it's ovulation! Had an almost as dark as the control opk this morning even with fmu so I'm taking it to be a positive...missed yesterday (late nights at work this week so opking a challenge....tried to do one at work yesterday "in the stream"...flooded the whole goddamn stick! No clear result!)

Snowdog37 · 22/03/2016 09:55

Could I get a ticket for April 2nd please Kat ? I'm 3dpo and not temping or anything. Going to let the crazy come au naturel this cycle.

FXSkip · 22/03/2016 09:31

Welcome back kat I don't envy you this task! Please can I have a ticket for 14th April? I am well off the March bus

Evergreen15 · 22/03/2016 09:26

Thanks for the advice Flash. I used to take those and then I switched to others maybe I will go back as well Sad

HepKestrel · 22/03/2016 09:26

look at that long list of graduates!!!

i am still trying epo this month (plus vitD and folic acid), i may try the seven seas next month.

I think my luteal phase is normal or longer-than-normal so i'm not worried about that.

I was naughty and skipped dinner yesterday. i know, i know bad hep

HepKestrel · 22/03/2016 09:23

Kat April 13th for me.

Flashinthepan · 22/03/2016 09:09

Ever if you don't already, try incoporating some vit B6. Its one of the reasons I chose the Seven Seas conception vits as B6 is well docmented as improving fertility by lengthening the luteal phase and mine seemed to be quite short after I came off the pill last year.
