Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

To add to my list of stuff that isn't happening: I haven't gained my pre-period weight. Usually I puff up 5-7 lbs before AF hits me. I'm not even bloated.

Lyssie · 23/03/2016 00:33

Ever I want to hug you better! I'm so sorry :(Thanks

Lyssie · 23/03/2016 00:31

Pug
I think I'm going to put off testing a day or two more, and try not to scare AF into arriving. i have very little patience though..

I'm 12dpo.
I still have no breast pain(not even nips anymore), which I have never not had at this time of the month since I was 13. Some very mild cramping is starting.
I'm not at all irritable(again, impossible!), but I am excruciatingly tired... And(tmi) I'm very wet down there.

Kwik!!!!!! I am so excited for you, lovely! Congratulations :) praying it all goes swimmingly for you!

Oh Kwick that's fantastic! And what a lot of lines!

I'm sorry that some of you are having such a hard time. Take care and be good to yourself.

Evergreen15 · 22/03/2016 22:44

It *is how I see

Evergreen15 · 22/03/2016 22:44

Expectation is the root of heartache I like that one. It us how I see TTC

Evergreen15 · 22/03/2016 22:43

My bold text again
Sorry Sad

Evergreen15 · 22/03/2016 22:42

Confused I completely understand. I could not try for 2 years or anything like that. Just not who I am... Plus I don't want just 1 kid so I don't really have the time. I wouldn't want just 1 child nope.
Kwick you are amazing and everyone here is sooooo happy you got that positive ThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanks
Jam thanks for your words of encouragement SmileSmileand I know you mean well ThanksThanksThanksHowever, I am a woman of science and when people say "it will happen" I always go to the evidence. It might not happen at all! There is no proof to show that it will happen to me, and it does not happen to everyone. So, without being 100%sure that it happens to 100% of women within a reasonable period of time, how can people promise "it will happen" I think it is cruel to promise such things.(I don't think you are cruel, I am talking about the cliche saying"
I also dont think that there is scientific evidence to the "relax and it will happen" if you could think yourself pregnant or non pregnant we wouldn't need contraceptives!
Island SmileThanks** thanks for your words as well, but I am definitely not religious or anything, pretty much empiric and practical, so I guess different people see this ttc in a different way. And I can't believe that something will happen if I know there isn't a 100% proven reason that it actually will.
Vixarooni I think that is amazing your mum tried for so long Smile and here you are in your lovely self as a result.
Ni I thought it took up to an average of 1 year before you have to start looking into infertility issues. I dont think it is a maximum of 1 year and then for sure you are up the duff

Feefeefs · 22/03/2016 22:32

Congratulations kwick!!!

vixarooni · 22/03/2016 22:32

Love it! I also like, "a smooth sea never made a skillful sailor." One I deal with daily, "expectation is the root of all heartache" this one too, everything you want is on the other side of fear"

Finish with a hopeful one, "every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for a moment that is yet to come"

I need to get these on my walls I think!

SincerelyRosie · 22/03/2016 22:21

Kwick & Vix my favourite quote:
^Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?^

IrregularCommentary · 22/03/2016 22:20

Kwick that's such amazing news!! Oh, congratulations xx Flowers Flowers

Kathrino · 22/03/2016 22:09

Oh Kwick, what utterly brilliant news!! So thrilled for you!!

vixarooni · 22/03/2016 22:00

No idea Kwik had it saved in Pinterest for awhile, been one of my favourites and I try to remember it often!/

Ni4444 · 22/03/2016 21:36

Jem Ever I get both sides...
The worrier in me says "There goes another month, you're getting older, you're gonna run out of eggs, more chances of miscarriage, more chances you're gonna need intervention, less chances of more than 1 kid the longer this takes...."
The problem solver says "they say it takes up to 12months-youre just getting closer to how long it takes, that's another month's information you've recorded, that's another month closer to getting support from professionals, another month closer to getting answers, another month closer to getting a baby sorted!!"

SincerelyRosie · 22/03/2016 21:36

kwick CONGRATULATIONS!!! You must be over the moon! Stabbing yourself with needles has all seemed worth while 👍

Ni4444 · 22/03/2016 21:30

Yay for positive opks!!!...well it's the only strong dark line I get to be excited about!!

Very inspirational vixarooni - love the quote - do you know who said it originally?

vixarooni · 22/03/2016 21:25

Congratulations kwik fantastic news!!!

ever my mum took 13 years to have me, thank God she never gave up! I've gone through a process in the last few days where I've hated all of this. I've questioned if I want to bring a new life into the world when I hate the process so much, and I've decided to chuck my thermomter, chuck my opks and roll with it. It's taking over my life, and like you, I want to control a process that I have no way of controlling. Giving up is easy, but remember, "the temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed"

Kwick709 · 22/03/2016 21:21

Or the right magic potion Wink i think that may have been a good thing to do - change my donor.

May I share a slight "challengette" I had this morning? You know I love a FRER - so I had been saving one for today - I dipped it in and then waited 3 minutes BUT NOTHING CAME UP. NOT EVEN CONTROL LINE!!!! I could not understand it.... FRER has not failed me yet... I touched the the stick bit...dry... I had not actually dipped in FMU...when I tried again I got 2 lines straight away - phew!? Faith in FRER restored!

islandgirl99 · 22/03/2016 21:13

kwick congratulations!! Delighted by your news Grin

ever I think the same as jem, every day is one day closer. I guess it's about believing that it will happen, so every day is bringing you one day closer.

I do agree that it's frustrating that you can't control it, I'm a real planner and organiser so it drives me crazy that I can't just schedule it in and have it happen on schedule, but having accepted that now I'm just trying to be a bit more chilled and to just have faith that it'll happen when the right egg comes along.

Jamjar12 · 22/03/2016 21:11

Congratulations Kwick! Welcome to the world of even more symptom spotting and waiting! So pleased for you :D

Sorry for all of you who've been caught by AF, sucks.

Ever, it will happen. It's that awful catch 22 where 'if you think about the game, you've lost the game.' It's the hardest thing in the world not to stress over it because we want it so badly. It's a cliche yes but I think there is some logic to chilling a little so I hope you will let yourself cut yourself some slack and not put too much pressure on yourself :)

Confusedcat1 · 22/03/2016 21:08

And kwick you are awesome and it is just the most brilliant news! I'm so happy to see those pictures!

When I see bfps like that I think I am silly for squinting - it's like a positive opk - you know it when you see it!

Kwick709 · 22/03/2016 21:02

Thanks everyone :)

ni I have not really celebrated... I am so worried to put a foot wrong....

I know some of you lovely ladies are feeling it right now - I so know how that feels. Please just be nice to yourself. There is a lot of pressure going around... I would be lying if I said I deal with it well... I do not... But remember you are all in perfect time. I do not mean to sound all new-agey... I just wish everyone the best and please hang in there!
