Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

Evergreen15 · 18/03/2016 20:56

HepKestrel · 18/03/2016 20:55

Thanks ever,starky.
Oh and I are treating ourselves to a medicinal bottle of Wine tonight over the stress of grumpy-old-cat. We are hoping that he keeps eating this food, as we have plans to go away for Easter.

Flowers pug

Mooseville · 18/03/2016 20:46

Your decision starky!! I'm all for leaving it as long as possible to avoid BFN's but the positive OPK woukd probably tempt me to do it!

Our staffy is on a special restricted diet hep she's got some kind of canine food intolerance. It's definitely easier to manage a pet diet than a people one. Poor little love.

Sorry ever I've just gone all spooked about it! Like, properly spooked. It does feel a bit like Voldemort! Or rather af is she who shall not be named. Flowdermort.

moose shall I?! I'm freaking myself out now because it's not official test day!

pug this is the place for rants, it's good to get it all out!

Evergreen15 · 18/03/2016 20:24

Pug no need to apologise.
I can't do the relaxed approach either (I can try to relax my mind about looking at all the other good things that I have going on in my life). I am almost 35 and I was (ideally) hoping for two kids (three really but I think too late for me since I have not yet conceived the first and I am too tired in general, feel older.
However I can try to start running again and focusing on other things as well Smile

Pugmummy87 · 18/03/2016 20:06

Sorry about my rant earlier. I could just about cope with AF showing up, but then the baby bomb just pushed me over the edge. It just sometimes feels like the world and he's wife is pregnant apart from me! I thought I was chilled until yesterday.

I admire those of you that are being chilled about it, however I always have in the back of mind, that despite not using any contraception for 5 years I haven't once had a sniff of a bfp and my pcos diagnosis I know makes it harder too.

I'm giving it until the summer and then I will go and see the gp (technically due to the pcos, I can see GP after 6 months of actively trying if I wanted), until then I am going to work hard at getting bmi down again, start exercising and keep working on the positive mental attitude.

Evergreen15 · 18/03/2016 19:45

Is the "other thing that can't be mentioned" starting to sound like Voldemort to anyone else?

Mooseville · 18/03/2016 19:25

Eeek starky Positive OPK! Got everything crossed for you. Please POAS tomorrow!!!

Positive OPK myself today, but definitely for ovulation not the other thing that can't be mentioned.... DP still sick but am going to attempt to jump him later whilst waving my positive pissy stick! He's a lucky guy!

Sorry to hear about AF pug

Evergreen15 · 18/03/2016 19:19

Ahhh so you can manage it Smile I feel it is easier to stick to a diet if you are not human Wink

HepKestrel · 18/03/2016 19:07

He has hyperthyroidism. And perfectly working kidneys!

So as long as we manage it. He will be ok .

So it is either a special diet, or pill(s) everyday. I'm not putting him through an op.

Evergreen15 · 18/03/2016 17:55

Pet rather

Evergreen15 · 18/03/2016 17:54

SuchaJem · 18/03/2016 16:53

really sorry it wasn't to be this cycle pug, I hope you are okay. Crap timing on the baby bomb too :( Take care of yourself this weekend, be kind to yourself.

Evergreen15 · 18/03/2016 16:46

Yes maybe I should start looking after all...

Evergreen15 · 18/03/2016 16:46

Hep still waiting for call? Is your cat there with you?

HepKestrel · 18/03/2016 15:54

Ever for various reasons I will probably be job hunting next year. One of the reasons we started ttc in october, is it was when OH cleared his debts and is secure in his new job. So if i put my job at risk by getting pg, we have some security.

My job is also affected by government funding cuts on science. (flat cash my arse)

(vet still hasn't called me back Confused)

Evergreen15 · 18/03/2016 15:45

Kat I think it is great Smile I am going yo try a bit of that. I still will try quite hard to get dtd at right time because my 35th is approaching really fast but I will also enjoy life until BFP happens whenever.
I had been postponing looking for another job but with more cuts it seems that the government and my employer thinks saving money is better that providing a scientific path for the young generations to come. Which is great when you are TTC a new generation Sad. Which means that my job is at risk anyway.
So maybe I start looking now. With my luck I will get upduffed as I start a new job and lose maternity pay and that Hmm
But if it doesnt happen for another year??

Flashinthepan · 18/03/2016 15:01

Lol starky Determined Doreen makes me think of a children's cartoon character! Probably not particularly appropriate given the context.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/03/2016 14:51

I think I might test tomorrow morning jem maybe. I'm scared if the jinxing. But the opk...Hmmm. We shall see. I'm all over the shop with hormones. Just thinking about it makes me feel squiffy and weird!

kat Im really hoping you get a determined Doreen! That would be amazeballs!
