and disgusted that you could do that to someone you love and respect.

drosophila · 02/01/2007 21:11

I know quite a few women (about 4) who do seem to view the man as a neccessary evil in the parenthood game iykwim.

Ammy12 · 02/01/2007 21:02

Do you know someone who did it Ilovedolly?

ILoveDolly · 02/01/2007 21:01

just think how you'll feel if you tell him your pg and he says 'well thats ruined everything' (i can tell you how that feels)

Ammy12 · 02/01/2007 20:59

Xenia, you sound wise.

Ammy12 · 02/01/2007 20:58

worse things happen. The best thing to do is plan what will happen if you do get pregnant. What you are doing isn't good but how will you handle it? Time to use your head instead of your heart. after all, you could already be pg.

CheesyFeet · 02/01/2007 20:55

How awful for that child Xenia. Not a healthy state of affairs imho.

Judy1234 · 02/01/2007 20:51

As long as you support that child. I know a father who didn't agree to the last child. Mother went ahead. Father paid private school fees etc and holidays for all the other but not that one. He let it live in the home. The mother had to work to support it.

CheesyFeet · 02/01/2007 20:51

God your poor dp

This is so out of order

Imagine if he lied to you on such a huge level

Are you pg? If not you should start using contraception again and discuss the issue rather than doing it on the sly.

Ammy12 · 02/01/2007 20:49

where is she???? Please talk to us- don't worry bout judgement. We want to help.

brandy7 · 02/01/2007 20:48

windup?

CountTo10 · 02/01/2007 20:47

Namechange what's the full background on this? How many other children do you have? Do you care more about having another child than your relationship?

Blandmum · 02/01/2007 20:47

Why doesn't he want more children?

How is your relationship in general?

Very dodgy thing to do, and would put the future of your relationship under a huge risk.....having kids puts a relationship under considerable stress when both partners want achild. How much more if one partner has been tricked?

DizzyBint · 02/01/2007 20:46

she will say he should wear a condom if he doesnt want kids , or get the snip.

DarrellRivers · 02/01/2007 20:45

wouldn't like to guess

Ammy12 · 02/01/2007 20:45

ooooooh! what will she say?

DarrellRivers · 02/01/2007 20:44

Wait till Xenia finds out what you've done

DizzyBint · 02/01/2007 20:43

put yourself in his shoes. imagine you weren't on the pill, you relied on him using a condom. for a few nights he forces himself on you without a condom. you get pregnant, he forces you to keep the baby. nice?

Ammy12 · 02/01/2007 20:43

oops- don't think you expected that response!

DarrellRivers · 02/01/2007 20:42

I think that these things always get found out, and you will feels so guilty about having done it this way, and your DH will feel betrayed.
MummytoSteven's suggestion was sensible, you will be being truthful and putting the responsibility in his hands

melrose · 02/01/2007 20:40

Sorry but ia m appalled, he is bound to realise what you have done and is the ultimate deceit. Have to say I tink it will all end in tears. Sit doen with your DH and talk about it, if he is so against another then love the family you have and ensure it stays together!

lulumama · 02/01/2007 20:39

you need to talk and communicate and work out why he is so against having another child

if you get pregnant will he not suspect that you have done this on purpose as you are in control of the contraception

it has the potential to destroy the trust he has in you

Sparkler1 · 02/01/2007 20:39

I've recently been through a few tough months where I felt really broody but dh was adamant that he didn't want anymore children. I totally respected his decision and would never have gone down the path you are taking - no matter how strong my desire was to have another child.
What do you plan to tell your dh if and when you fall pg? I hope he takes it well for you and your baby's sake.
