Does anyone here find themselves going mad? Researching every single sympton they feel in the 2ww to validate your theory that you might have conceived? Or is it just me?!? Help?!?

I think I am doing it now by posting here - but feel like I need support!

Last year I had a MMC with twins; around 12 weeks. I had to have a D&C and I was devastated for a long time. At Christmas I found out I was pregnant again - but had a mc much sooner (around 6 weeks)

We're now activitively TTC. This month, following ovulation, I have had aches and twinges. A sore throat. A snotty nose. Mucus drip into my throat. More discharge than normal. I am SO tired... My period is due on Saturday. I have started the mad preg testing already - holding up the test to the light hoping to see something.

Can I ask... is they anyone out there who has managed to move on from the agony of the tww? You hear so many stories of ppl giving up and then finding out they are pregnant.. All this worry and research can't be good .. Can it?!? Any tips on how to "forget" or relax about the TWW would be so helpful!! Help!!!

Just tested again this morning, still BFN. Still no AF. No idea what's going on now, I'm 4 days late.

AnxiousBetty · 08/03/2016 21:06

I have also just read this thread and have to say I'm in the same boat although I'm not entires sure when my 2ww starts as I've been on the pill and have unprotected once on the 28th and once on the 5th ShockConfused

itsallme1234 · 08/03/2016 20:49

Been reading these and i have to agree that the 2ww is awful to the point it drives me insane. its all i can think of and then i get my hopes up and then feel disappointing when AF appears. hope you all are okay

LooLoo777 · 08/03/2016 19:34

Hi - have you tested yet? Are you periods normally regular? Good on you for waiting.... Testing is so tempting!! Good luck!

I am trying to keep calm and not get too involved with the idea of actually being pregnant (I am not saying it out loud..!) but so convinced it will go wrong. Just waiting for m/c 3 to start. So horrible not to be excited. Dull aches and cramping on and off - tired but that's all. No bleeding, yet.

How's everyone doing? Still no AF for me but haven't tested since Sunday when it was negative. Almost don't want to because if it's negative I'll be sad.

LittleLionMansMummy · 07/03/2016 14:25

Congrats Hopeful! I think it's practically unheard of to get a false bfp but relatively common to get a false bfn so looks good for you.

I'm certain we had sex at the right time this month as I had really strong ov signs, including mittelschmerz, on 1st/ 2nd March. Most people say you don't get symptoms of pregnancy until implantation happens but I've been getting weird symptoms since the day after I ov'd. I've been crazy exhausted and had some really odd, very vivid dreams. I only came off the pill in December though and it took 2 years to conceive ds so I doubt I'll be that lucky - especially as I'm getting on a bit (5 years older than I was with ds!) Trying hard not to symptom spot, but it's hard when they're so bloody obvious. I consider my left ovary my lucky ovary since I felt the same pain in the same side the month I got pregnant with ds. Fingers crossed!

Hopefulbabydust · 07/03/2016 11:05

Thank you ladies! Don't really trust it though as mine is a Amazon cheapie too but last three I've done there a line..just gonna wait for af to be late then test again

Stickyjellybean · 07/03/2016 11:02

I think that's a line Hopeful! Woohoo!!

CharminglyGawky · 07/03/2016 11:01

I see a line hopeful! Congratulations!

I'm late to the party but can I join in?

I'm CD 29 and a 28 day cycle would be a short one for me so I'm due AF sometime in the next few days. BFN this morning with an amazon cheapie but I can see where the line would be on them and they drive me bonkers!

This waiting is hideous, hope you ladies get good news soon!

Hopefulbabydust · 07/03/2016 10:40

Done a 2nd test this morning with fmu..I'm only 9dpo & I was a internet cheapie..what do you ladies think?Confused

Thank you! I think I will struggle to face a 3rd m/c but fingers crossed.

Keep me posted X

Tested again this morning and still BFN. But no AF yet. It's a waiting game and I'm not a very patient person! I'd rather just get AF sooner if she is going to come and then I can move on.
I hope you can start to settle down into it soon LooLoo and enjoy it, but I can imagine how hard it is to allow yourself to get excited.

LooLoo777 · 06/03/2016 17:26

Any news StickyJellyBean? Hope you are holding up ok? As every hour goes by I expect to start bleeding - so I can absolutely imagine how you must be feeling. Horrible.

How's everyone else doing?

Stickyjellybean · 05/03/2016 14:06

Congratulations LooLoo!! Hoping it all goes well for you this time.

I was going to wait until tomorrow to test but got so fed up of examine every bit of toilet paper when I went to the loo for signs of blood (sorry tmi) that I gave in and tested just now. BFN! AF due today so guess I'll just have to wait and see.

mrsstickll · 05/03/2016 13:10

Fingers crossed all ok looloo. Still no af and still bfn! I think my body has decided mothers day is the perfect day for me to come on lol.

LooLoo777 · 05/03/2016 12:49

Thank you everyone, so much. I am treating it as a positive pregnancy test but not thinking about "being pregnant" ... If that makes any sense at all? That way if I do bleed, I can think of it as late AF rather than m/c.

My partner is really worried about being too excited - it's been a bit of a funny morning so far as we just don't know what will happen.

How is everyone else doing?

OP posts:
mrsstickll · 05/03/2016 10:19

I can definitely see a line congratulations! Flowers I can't imagine how you must feel you must be so worried, but I do know lots of people who have had successful pregnancies after a mc.

Hopefulbabydust · 05/03/2016 10:18

Thankfully I have never been in that position I'm so sorry to hear your high risk but I hope everything goes well for you xx

Hopefulbabydust · 05/03/2016 10:17

Yes that's a line!!!!! Grin

LooLoo777 · 05/03/2016 09:12

A better picture.

Has anyone else been in this horrible zone where you test early (well today AF is due) and then have an early m/c? I know the highest risk of m/c is in the 1st trimester but I think I am in the super high risk category now because it's a) so early and b) I have had 2 and no successful pregnancies

Just read one of your earlier posts, are you testing again in the morning?, if so fx for you and really hope you get a bfp x

Hopefulbabydust · 04/03/2016 23:24

I know Im not sure if I'm just noticing them this cycle as there's a chance I'm pregnant I just feel different this month, I feel positive but like you said fingers crossed, what's your situation are you ttc?x

LooLoo777 · 04/03/2016 23:19

Sounds hopeful if they are not symptoms you usually have!!

Until recently I have been really terrible at noticing anything my body does and wasn't very tuned into it (I am quickly learning!!) So I can't help on the symptoms front unfortunately. It's horrible but I think only time will tell. So hard!
