I thought I may as well start up the April bus since af rudely kicked me off the February bus, and my dh isn't here for March!

Been ttc #4 since September last year. Tricky as dh works abroad so much! I think I'm due to ov on the 3rd of April and dh is home on the 1st, so fx we catch it! I'll be testing round about 17th April.

Anyone else ready to hop on board to keep me company? I have a large bag of mini eggs to share Grin

They don't have them here!! :( :( I have got a pink "extra sensitive" one. It has a good rating in the Öko Test so I took that as a good sign??

hanflan · 12/04/2016 12:03

You know you need to go buy a FRER bertie.... they are the only tests I 100% trust! :)

BertieBotts · 12/04/2016 11:52

Holy shit!! Test #2 produced horizontal streaks (this is the last time I trust cheap tests from China) and then the faintest line ever. Won't even show up on a camera. DH is like "Go buy an expensive one!!" And now I've ruined it by tilting it and the extra wee somehow rolled inside the test.

Aaaaaaaaagh!

BertieBotts · 12/04/2016 10:59

IT wouldn't focus

BertieBotts · 12/04/2016 10:50

Aah there is something on the stupid test now. I think it's an evaporation line but it's a pink test so unsure. Way outside the time limit, anyway.

I'm going to have to waste another one aren't I? Grin

hanflan · 12/04/2016 10:40

Hi all! I'm rejoining the buses after having my first baby just over a year ago. These buses were a lifeline for me when I was on them (around spring/summer 2014!)
I don't think I'll be officially on this bus as not officially trying until next cycle.... but can't find a May bus. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks! :)

BertieBotts · 12/04/2016 09:18

No that's how I feel as well Carrot. We have higher risk for mc as well so I'm nervous about that. When I found out I was pg with DS I was floored but my ex was so excited he then told everyone at work when I hadn't even had a chance to think about it which really put me off. I did speak to DH and explain why I was feeling anxious and he does get it, he just wanted to tell his best friend for support which I've now said yes of course. I just didn't want it going around the company and people being excited because, yeah, I just want it to be our special thing for a little while.

Test has dried and looks pretty clearly negative actually so I will leave it :) I'm a bit relieved which is not that I don't want to be pregnant, I just appreciate having another month to not be. I'm not the kind of person who wants things to happen straight away. It's good with me if it takes some time. (Haha - remind me of this when I get impatient!)

CarrotVan · 12/04/2016 08:57

Having had 3 miscarriages in 6 months I would suggest tell anyone who you would want to lean on for support if anything went wrong and tell no-one who will be nosy or massively full on (i.e. wanting to decorate a nursery the weekend they find out and pestering you about names). You might find then when you get a BFP you both want to hold the news to yourselves for a while whilst you get used to it.

I'm sorry if that sounds negative - I don't mean it to

Sparrowlegs248 · 12/04/2016 08:41

carrot I have nap envy. Ds has never napped well, we just manage 40 minutes twice a day.

Tabitha tmi but I let a trump out when walking through town when pregnant too. No idea it was coming!

bertie sounds promising! I was pissed off when my husband told his family, some who isn't even close to, on the day I had the positive test. I only told my family because he had, and it didn't become common knowledge til 12 weeks.

And no, their lives really aren't affected in the same way. We actually had a row last night because he compared his period of lazy arse unemployment with me being at home with baby.

BertieBotts · 12/04/2016 07:39

Had a crap night's sleep. Kept waking up feeling like I was dying of thirst and I couldn't sleep on my front as my boobs were too sore Hmm

Still no sign of AF. More spotting, brown this time. So I did a test this morning after the school run so I could sit with DH to watch the result. That went well. I pissed all over the window by mistake with the force of my half litre of water plus school run waiting time Grin Test is completely unreadable but DH joking around saying "It's a super baby! I'm going to tell everyone at work!"

I don't want him to get excited yet. I do, but I know it's going to freak me out when it does happen. Gah I am a mess of emotions again today :( He was asking when he can tell people at work and I was like, no, give me a couple of days at least to get my head around it! He seems to think this is crazy and since we are trying I should be totally ready and on board 100% all the time. Is that a typical man thing to think, is it different for us because of the whole giving birth thing? I mean, I'm excited and looking forward to getting a BFP but nervous as well. A successful pregnancy means 9 months of worrying about what I'm doing, eating, being poked and prodded etc, then birth which is great and everything, but come on, it's not like it's a walk in the park. Then newborn stuff. Toddlers. Everything will change. Maybe it's that he doesn't have the memory of that because he's only lived with us since DS was 3. Or he's ready for the change, whatever it is. Men's lives don't change at all in the same way, do they?

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 11/04/2016 22:03

Temp still high and no AF but still BFN.

I am beginning to think maybe my ov day was slightly out? AF was due today, so I should either be pg or out. Limbo is annoying, because I've got pate in the fridge and I would like to indulge (plus alcohol) if I'm not bloody preggers.

Tabitha78 · 11/04/2016 18:31

Notta - the burping, it's crazy!! Still none the wiser though. Packed DP off to Superdrug for some more sticks. He was horrified at how much I've spent POAS Blush Internet cheapies for me next month if I'm not pg I think !!

CarrotVan · 11/04/2016 17:18

He likes his sleep weechops

I am symptom spotting like a loon at 4dpo. Someone smack me

samk15 · 11/04/2016 15:35

Well I think I'll be joining the May bus! Only managed to dtd once!!! Although I did get positive OPK on the tests the next day. Not very hopeful though. Made the big mistake of asking DP rather than just jumping on him, he thinks just dtd for the sake of baby making is too clinical. I'm gonna have to get creative lol Grin

weechops · 11/04/2016 14:01

3 hours carrot!!! I'm lucky if weechops3 sleeps for an hour. He's snoozing now but starting to wake up.

I miss those naps with my DS. He's 3 and in a proper bed. IIRC it was around 8 months when he changed from 2 naps (9.30 and 3) to one nap after lunch which he still has (starting any time from 12-1.30 and lasting up to 3 hours)

Sparrowlegs248 · 11/04/2016 11:37

It's my first cycle since having ds, he is 8.5 months and I had one very heavy period.

Thank you, failed today. He's asleep on my lap.

CarrotVan · 11/04/2016 10:59

Are you 10 days late notta or is this the first cycle after stopping hormonal contraception?

Good luck with the nap training

Sparrowlegs248 · 11/04/2016 10:42

Bfn again, and still no bastard af. I think I.need to accept that my cycles need time to settle before getting all excited about Ttc.

I did burp a lot when preggers tabitha, they just popped out without me knowing they were coming!!

Ds currently resisting his nap. I am trying to get him to nap in his cot, it's very hit and miss.

BertieBotts · 11/04/2016 09:26

TMI, I have been a bit constipated which is usually a sign of AF for me.

BertieBotts · 11/04/2016 09:24

No not yet. I'm not actually due on until tomorrow according to my app. I will POAS on Friday if it hasn't arrived, as I think I ovulated 3 days later than my app predicted. My cycles tend to vary by up to about a week so it's not always very accurate anyway.

I am still getting spotting but nothing bigger. I'll let you know if anything changes! :) I'm in limbo a bit because I want to try some medication, which isn't advised in pregnancy, and I suspect they won't let me try it if I am pg, but it's nothing life threatening or urgent so it can wait if it does happen. I decided to keep pursuing the tests while TTC as long as I keep testing and stop taking it as soon as anything comes up because it seems silly to put it off when it probably won't happen immediately, and it would be useful for me to know if it works for me, so that I can get back to working that out after pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Tabitha78 · 11/04/2016 09:17

Still a BFN today

Mimilicious013 · 11/04/2016 08:55

bertie that sounds more like pregnancy symptoms. Fx you get your bfp instead of af. Did u poas again?

Tabitha78 · 11/04/2016 08:37

Bertie sorry about the BFN. Hope the DH stats happier now!

I will be a little miffed if AF turns up on Wed given all the symptoms I've had... cramps, pressure, nausea and strong sense of smell, sore nipples, creamy CM, bloating and burping, extreme tiredness. Have any of you had this and then got AF??

BertieBotts · 10/04/2016 16:15

I had a BFN yesterday but still waiting for AF to show up as have had some spotting.

Did have some wine last night. DH did too and I think he is panicking a bit at this TTC thing but seems happier this morning so that's good? Confused

I'm not upset about the BFN as it is only cycle #1 so very expected :) plus it gives me more time to get into this thing, I think I'd be a bit weirdly disappointed if it happened right away!
