I thought I may as well start up the April bus since af rudely kicked me off the February bus, and my dh isn't here for March!

Been ttc #4 since September last year. Tricky as dh works abroad so much! I think I'm due to ov on the 3rd of April and dh is home on the 1st, so fx we catch it! I'll be testing round about 17th April.

Anyone else ready to hop on board to keep me company? I have a large bag of mini eggs to share Grin

That's good to know thank you. As well as usual ov symptoms and Ovia telling me, I had positive Opk on Sunday so I'm fairly confident! Seems like ages away at the moment but I'm happy to be relaxed about it at this stage as it is all v.new.

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 14/03/2016 21:28

Ovia not obis Angry

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 14/03/2016 21:28

Well you are far more interesting devgal! I think most people's luteal phase (the bit between ovulation and period) is a fairly constant 14 days, even if their cycle length varies quite a bit. (A short or long LP needs investigation). So, you would be officially 'late' 14 days post ovulation, which is approximately when obis is telling you to test. Some lucky people get BFNs as early as 9 or 10 dpo which is why I pee on so many sticks each month but testing so early does risk the disappointment of a chemical pregnancy. Ovia's date seems quite sensible to me, especially if you're confident of your ovulation date.

Devgal · 14/03/2016 20:38

I'm 1dpo so in my first TWW. Ovia is telling me to test in 12 days based on a 31 day cycle, but my cycles can be irregular so not sure exactly how to know if my AF is late. As much as I am telling myself I will leave it longer, if Ovia says its ok then I must test then!! Wink anyone else is TWW?

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 14/03/2016 20:32

Got the period from hell this month. I am very ready to be done with them for a year or so...

I hate this part of the month. It's worse than the 2ww. There's not even any possibility of a BFP on the way. You can have a drink though, so swings and roundabouts...

CD5 for me, so about 10 days till things get going.

Anyone at a more interesting stage of the month yet?

DeepFriedCamembert · 14/03/2016 13:19

Can I join. I bring one of those massive kinder eggs you only get at Easter.

TTC: #2 (DS 2)
Age: wrong side of 35
Cycle: 1

Mirena was removed last month, so pretty sure this month will be a BFN, but ever the optimist... Think I'm ovulating around the 18th March and AF due April 3rd. I've bought some cheapo OPKs on-line. Best of luck everyone!

cakesandphotos · 13/03/2016 20:04

We're starting cycle #2 this month. Does anyone else worry that it just won't happen for them even though there's no reason why not? I just can't picture seeing that positive pg test. Is it just me?

underrugsswept · 13/03/2016 15:47

CD6 here and just ordered a load my OPKs. I feel like I'm surrounded by pregnant people at the moment. I'm looking forward to snuggling all these squishy newborns in a few months but would really like to be growing my own by that point!

Tabitha78 · 13/03/2016 14:11

Thanks Nimisha that's good to hear - I hope they get yours out without too much fuss!!

Tryingtowait · 12/03/2016 21:12

Sorry to hear that boodles fx for this month

And hey mimi (familiar face yay)

Nimisha · 12/03/2016 15:39

My first coil came out fine, no pain at all Tabitha78 . Hope it's the same for you. This one's strings have disappeared. Confused

Tabitha78 · 12/03/2016 13:30

Eek Nimisha that doesn't sound like fun. I didn't know they could get stuck?! Mine's scheduled to be removed on the 21st - I'm hoping it hurts a lot less than when it went in!

Nimisha · 12/03/2016 11:04

Hi all,
I don't know whether to get on our not.

My stats:

Nimisha,
TTC #3
Cycle 0 (but feels like longer)
I have a stuck mirena coil and am waiting for it to come out. I have an appointment with gynae on Monday, hoping they will have a go at removing it then but realistically I might need to wait even longer for a procedure.

I'm being hopeful though, I've bought some OPKs and an thinking about trying SMEP ( or a variation). I feel like I've been trying for months but I haven't even got started yet.

Fingers crossed for Monday!

Mimilicious013 · 12/03/2016 06:26

Love what giraffes said about the Christmas baby thing. I'm really hoping this is my month as that would put 4 years between children and didn't want to go much longer and also it's the last chance of a 2016 baby

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 10/03/2016 21:05

Well I'm here. Witch got me today. Aargh!

Will throw everything I can at this cycle. EPO, SMEP, OPKS, any other acronym I can google I to submission.

We are going on holiday (me, DH and DDs) just about at the beginning of the fertile window. DH and I may need to get creative (and quiet) with hotel bathrooms ....

Really, really want this to be the month so I can dress my Christmas baby in a really tacky cute Christmas outfit and Facebook it like crazy.

Littlepixie85 · 10/03/2016 14:21

Hi everyone, can I save a seat too? Just finished AF after a 50 day cycle so hoping things are back on track this month! My stats are:

Name: Littlepixie
Age: 30
Cycle: approx 12 but irregular so hard to tell
TTC: #1

Going to use OPKs this month to see if I can pin down when I ovulate, haven't had much luck with them so far. My cycles are usually around 37 days so need to be patient before I start testing as I'm only on CD7!

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 09/03/2016 22:07

Hi everyone!
Just saving a seat - back tomorrow or the day after. Save me a creme egg.

cakesandphotos · 08/03/2016 12:27

I'm bleeding a bit today on CD23 so I think I'm definitely off the March BFP bus :( fx for April!

Devgal · 08/03/2016 09:46

weechops thanks, I did another today and it is ever so slightly darker, so will keep going. This is my first cycle TTC so I just wanted to see what it was all looking like then ease off the OPK and any other form of crazy I might have taken on!

AskPrayHope · 07/03/2016 20:48

No, I never seem to have any luck with them either cakesandphotos, so after these few run out that'll be it for me. Too much stress!!

I'd like too stay positive Underrugs but it's hard work lol.

cakesandphotos · 07/03/2016 20:18

I'm struggling to get anywhere with my OPKs. They were super dark after my AF last time but then faded and have been up and down since then. I'm trying to temp and use cervical fluid as a gauge instead

weechops · 07/03/2016 19:58

Evening all.

Devgal if you keep testing you should see the line get darker. If it's a positive opk, the line has to be as dark as (or darker than) the control line. I test around 11am, 2pm, 6pm usually.

Cd14 today and tested with the clear blue digital- got another Flashing smiley first thing this morning, tested again with an ic this afternoon and its positive, so the surge really does happen that quickly.

I gave in to sugar cravings after dinner, and cracked open one of the Easter eggs I'd put away 🙈 Malteser shard anyone? 😂

Hi again Ask. You're very welcome here of course but don't count yourself out just yet. One of my good friends is currently pregnant with #1 despite never getting a positive OPK - they are tricky little buggers!
