Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Ooh forgot to say my methods of madness - ovia, folic acid, brazil nuts, and put a lot of cayenne pepper in my dinner tonight after seeing that listed on here once! But def gonna ramp up on the other bits and bobs next month if I get that bfn.

elle
Yes it was amazing! Such a fluke, I had to stop the car and get out to watch it Smile I kind of feel like I could die happy now I've seen one!!

I'm totally procrastinating doing prep for an interview on Tuesday. Must.get.on.with.it

vixarooni · 27/02/2016 19:08

Vicki, 29, cycle 2 and 7 dpo.

Peaches (dunno how to bold!) My auntie had no children, my mum just managed two and my nan only two. My dad's parents just one! My OH's dad just has to look at them too. I'm only on cycle two and I've told everyone we are waiting till after our wedding next year to start trying. Just so there's no external pressure, I give myself enough! Good luck with your journey!

Moggysinger · 27/02/2016 19:07

I think 12 DPO
AF due Wednesday, apparently I could POAS now, which is tempting as I have 4 in the house, but I'm holding out for my starky Star and not testing until/if AF is late.

Unfortunately I do seem to have convinced myself that I am upduffed this cycle due to weirdo symptoms, so totally not prepared for a bfn, oops Confused

Is there a genetic link with fertility? Apparently me, my brother, and my sister were ALL accidents according to my dm ... I think she was either lying or was very careless and very fertile?!

Kwick709 · 27/02/2016 18:55

MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS bellini!!!!!

I got needles. & syringes sorted - I rang NHS 111, spoke to the out of hours Dr who did a bit of research and rang me back & told me of a local pharmacy I could go to. They did not have the yellow needles, so have larger (aka more painful) blue ones.... I also ordered from Amazon and will mention to CRGH at my scan on Monday.

So I am kwick
21 years old --okay I am actually 41 but who is counting?!*
TTC #1
Did first IUI in September 2015, after 5 tries have moved on to IVF. I am day 10 of that cycle - scan yesterday showed 3 follicles - disappointing considering I am taking shed loads of drugs including growth hormone! Egg collection will happen in the next week or so and then hopefully embryo transfer a few days after that.
Methods of madness: lots of milk, daily supplement of Co-Q10, vit C, vit D, vit E, Vit B complex, Seven Seas trying to have a baby supplement, pineapple core post IUI/IVF for 5 days, aspirin 75mg post, fertility hypnosis tracks, keeping feet and kidneys warm at all times, cinnamon, eggs, avocado, I could go on... Hmm

iPatches · 27/02/2016 18:44

I'm in, Kat. AF probably due on 4th but not 100% sure. I think I'm 7dpo but don't really know because I got 3 days of positive OPK last weekend. Ovia is annoying me by sending me recipes. Trying to be positive but definitely feeling like we have been unlucky this cycle.

LovelyFishy · 27/02/2016 18:39

Thank you Ni! I have been inspired to go out and buy pineapple in about 2 weeks time...

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 27/02/2016 18:39

kat ovia is telling me af is next due 18th March :)

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 27/02/2016 18:30

Sneaking in.....

Zazzles, 31
Cycle 4
CD8 / CD26-28
Due to ovulate on CD14-15

This cycle I'm taking high strength vitamin D, epo, pregnecare.

Dtd strategy - dtd every couple days throughout the next week.
Less pissing on sticks. A more chilled out cycle.

Ni4444 · 27/02/2016 18:20

Fishy apparently Pineapples (especially pineapple core) have an enzyme which acts like an anti inflammatory and bloody thinner. It drives blood to the uterus so encourages beans to stick. You must only take a slice of fresh pineapple (not tinned) each day in the tww though as it can affect CM before ovulation and can cause contractions/miscarriage in early pregnancy

natural-fertility-info.com/bromelain-pineapple-for-implantation.html

Ni4444 · 27/02/2016 18:09

Elle I reckon if you vaseline on the lips before you eat the pineapple, then wash down with water (or maybe milk?) that might help?! I agree...we need to dtd more too!! Duh I guess!! 😮

Moose you're in my neck of the woods!

Confusedcat1 · 27/02/2016 18:05

Ovia has now decided I have a 27 day cycle, normally it's 28 but last month I came on early at cd26. So I'm due to test according to ovia on 22nd March kat.

Good luck to everyone this month Flowers

StarkyTheDirewolf · 27/02/2016 17:51

miw aww for your sil! I'm in the middle of making a very girly baby blanket. I'd love a little cwtch with a new baby!

fishy it's something to do with the enzymes in pineapples that encourages something else which helps, or something. .. I'm clearly very knowledgeable

I've been lurking recently due to work craziness and trying not to think about TTC too much. There is zero chance of a BFP this cycle (#3) and it's quite nice to have a break from the frantic symptom spotting of the last couple of months. Bring on the April bus!

Feefeefs · 27/02/2016 17:41

Oh holy god at a party with lots of uni friends and just been baby bombed by a uni friend. Close friend struggling.com. Still no AF for me but could be Monday before it happens struggling to hold it together. DH not here! Thank god for you guys.

New thread!

Lara, 33
Got BFP last week, now 5+2 and obsession and worry about Ttc has shifted seamlessly to worry about things going wrong with pregnancy and googling miscarriage stats 🙈

Wishing you all BFPs soon, especially those who've been trying a while.

bellini really happy to hear your happy news. 💐

Why does everyone talk about pineapple? Is there something magical about them?

miwelaisjacydo · 27/02/2016 17:05

What is a skittle baby?🙄 That should say my own baby

miwelaisjacydo · 27/02/2016 17:04

Hello everyone been in hiding the last few weeks couldn't log on have missed two whole threads so what have missed? In 20 words or fewer😀
AF due Monday no sign yet. No symptoms either so recon am out this month.
SIlL had a baby girl this week. Unfortunately they live very far away so no chance to cwtch. Although an v happy for them would love to have skittle baby.

Af due Monday

StarkyTheDirewolf · 27/02/2016 16:43

elle I wish I was! That's some alliteration I can get on board with! Grin

jam I know, just going to see how it goes tbh. I've lost the will to be vigilant about it all atm! And it's not exciting, so I'm hoping injecting the "unknown" back in will bring some of the hopefulness back. I don't want it to feel like such a slog anymore!

kat I think I'm on for af about the 21st or March (or thereabouts)

Hello everyone!!

TTC #1
Cycle 1
6 dpo but don't have very high hopes for this month at all following the whole only DTD once saga!
Just off pill after 15 yrs, ovulation seemed to happen bang on time judging by OPK and CM so waiting to see if AF is also on time or if my cycles are messed up!

Had a lovely day at the Discover childhood centre in Stratford and build a bear with DP's neice. Just about to bake pink princess fairy cakes to keep her occupied while DP watches the rugby. This babysitting malarkey is easy peasy! Bloody tiring though though!!
