Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Hi all :)

I feel guilty... I was lying in bed NOT thinking about going for a run. I really should do, my weight is creeping up since the wedding. I'm hiding it in baggy winter clothes but will feel like shit when it starts to get warmer and my muffin top is flopping over my jeans.

I think it's a nice idea to all meet up but when we all have babies of different sizes we will probably all be a bit knackered for a trip to the big smoke! I'm not in London. I've been to North London though, if that counts. :) im on the south coast. Couldn't not live by the sea. Not that i go to see it every week, but I know it's there.

List update to follow in a separate post.

Sorry about AF ever

jam that myst be so hard to have people assume. I've been shocked at how many people think it's ok to speak to me about how i'll be pregnant soon since i got married last year. Even though i've not been trying long, and never expected it to happen straight away; i do worry how i might feel a year from now when people start asking why i havent had a baby!

SuchaJem · 28/02/2016 09:36

Wow jam that really does look like a baby bump. Do you know what causes it, could you have some food intolerance going on?

SuchaJem · 28/02/2016 09:35

Welcome anne

elle I am lying in bed thinking about a run too. I absolutely would do but I also had a bout of horrendous food poisoning yesterday and spent rather a long painful spell on the loo :( Tummy is still feeling really delicate so might give the run a miss.

Sorry about AF ever

Periods now finished for me, so just wondering when to start opks. Probably not until day 7-8 makes sense I would have thought?

Jamjar12 · 28/02/2016 09:32

Thanks everyone! I'll admit, I've taken advantage of it sometimes lol. On the tube last week it was very busy and a man offered me his seat so I took it (and my DH was laughing further up the carriage), which happens quite often and people have let me skip toilet queues before etc. But I have had a woman shout at me when I was out drinking before, I suppose she had a point if I looked rather heavily upduffed and was downing shots! I wouldn't ever presume someone was pregnant now because of it, but I really don't blame anyone as I look quite convincing. I get comments every time it happens but all my friends/family/people I see regularly know it happens so it's ok.

It just plays tricks on my brain as its pretty easy to pretend I'm pregnant but then obviously, I'm not lol. I'll probably be in denial when I am and shocked when my belly doesn't flatten down again!

I'll attach a photo of it. I spent the day as a normal size 14 and then poof!

ElleSarcasmo · 28/02/2016 09:06

Sorry about AF Evergreen Flowers

Welcome Anne Smile who is Mr Blythe?

Anyone doing anything exciting today? I'm lying in bed thinking about going for a run...always seems less appealing when it's not sunny! Can't wait for AF to piss off.

Jam it has happened to me too...more than once. It's mortifying isn't it?! Flowers

Feefeefs · 28/02/2016 08:18

Kwick709 · 28/02/2016 07:53

Welcome Anne! Mr Blythe is all mine though!

jamjar poor you! I too never comment until I get validation... Thank God as I though someone in our team was upduffed and I nearly said something but refrained and then found out she had just put on loads of weight after getting married.

TTC #1, cycle 8, due to test on 16th March. Had a cp last month which was tough but am back to feeling positive and giving it everything we've got this month. Taking folic acid, grapefruit juice, vit C and zinc for me and hubs plus Brazil nuts.. Legs up after even though I'm sure it's pointless... Just me, not him on that one! Basically if I read that it helps on mn I go straight out and buy it!!

Evergreen15 · 28/02/2016 06:56

Jam that must be hard!!! Sad I hope it doesnt last for too long when it happens Thanks

Evergreen15 · 28/02/2016 06:52

Here comes Cycle 4

Next AF limo 26th of March Sad

RaeSkywalker · 28/02/2016 06:41

jam that must be so uncomfortable! Bet the woman who thought you were upduffed was mortified too, I never comment on pregnancies until the woman mentions it just incase it's something else!

anne I know what you mean about ttc after years of trying to prevent it. DH and I were talking about it the other day and agreed it just feels so... Irresponsible!

Jamjar12 · 28/02/2016 00:13

I'm just outside London :)

Not sure if I've mentioned this before but I've got some strange undiagnosed medical issue where I bloat out for no apparent reason and look as if I'm about 30 weeks pregnant every now and then. I've had tests, scans etc but no diagnosis yet.

Anyway, just popped to the shops to buy a few bits. An old friend stopped me and said 'omg, you're....!!!!' And put her hand on my belly. Now, normally I just go along with it and smile but I couldn't with her as I actually knew her! She was mortified when I explained. I then went into Boots to buy DH some more Wellman conception vitamins and the lady said 'Did you mean to pick up men's?' I said yes and she said 'You need the women's ones' to which I just calmly replied, 'no I have those already and I'm not pregnant yet so he's going to keep taking these ones!'

It's been a problem for about 10 years now but doesn't bring any other symptoms so I've never been bothered. It definitely looks like a baby bump, not a flabby belly or anything. But when you're trying not to think too much about being pregnant, it's very difficult when your body is pretending to be! Urgh!!

Ni4444 · 28/02/2016 00:09

Oh ladies today I spent time with a friend and her little one.. Said little one whinged and moaned the whole time! Where do we place orders for the chilled out kids?! There must be an app for that!! 😝

IrregularCommentary · 27/02/2016 23:31

Hi Anne - love the name btw, am a massive fan of Mr Blythe!

Mn meet up sounds like a great idea!

Stats:
31 and currently looking after a 7+5 raspberry (first one) that's making me primarily gassy, nauseous and tired atm!

I completely agree! I think a mn ttc play date is a cracking idea! There's a thread on in chat now talking about what we think other mn-ers look like, so it would be definetly be interesting to actually meet up and put faces to mn names!

Ttc #1
Cycle 1
AF due 18/3

Just off pill after 2 years. Hitting the folic and more fruit and veg, cutting down coffee and booze. Dtd every or nearly every day as usual.

Trying to keep calm about the idea. Spent soooo many years trying not to get upduffed it's a weird shift.

Also, probably mad as getting hitched in June! We're assuming it'll take a while so decided to go for it. Mainly worried that having planned wedding/honeymoon based on my cycle I now won't be pg and won't be able to make sure I don't have AF on the day... Am I mad?

SuchaJem · 27/02/2016 23:15

Yes please for mm play date!

Kwick I'm a 91 girl myself :)

Ni4444 · 27/02/2016 23:13

Never been to London Stark?! Ah listen when we pop out our beans we should definitely get you down for a play date!... Although maybe minus kids, plus cocktails would be far more fun! 😜🍸🍹

StarkyTheDirewolf · 27/02/2016 23:01

Me too moggy in the general sense. However, I feel i would heartily enjoy a ttc get together!
